Great steak & chips! I had the sirloin, my son had the fillet - both were cooked to perfection. We both agreed they were amongst the best steaks we’ve had. Loved the chunky chips too. We also had fried squid for starters which was really tasty. Very friendly staff. Would definitely eat there again.

Absolute rip off sent a medium steak back twice first time was absolutely cremated second time was blue ordered a mac and cheese which never arrived left early as i ate all my food while girlfriend didn't eat a thing would not recommend absolute joke

The restaurant is very nice. Unfortunately the staff seemed very sullen, and not very welcoming. My date ordered a mojito which was far too watery. We asked for it to be changed and it came back no better and no further inquiries. The starters was good, but the chateaubriand was terrible. We ordered medium rare and it came back with the outside well done, and inside medium. The meat was also quite dry, and the spinach was very soggy. Would not recommend

Well since she come back from maternity leave the place has gone downhill. So rude wouldn't even let us in on Monday Will call first to see if she's working before coming down

We had a couple of last evening drinks and breakfast as we were staying in the hotel. It was ok and what you'd expect. It was busy in the evening with locals people seemed to be having a good time.

We just had cocktails, no food. They were very tasty. Good service. Book I advance as tables are all reserved!

Firstly if your charging £100 + for two people to dine you except a top quality meal that was far from what we got. We travelled to bath for the weekend and really wanted a steak night! After reading reviews this looked like the place to go, we were very wrong. I don’t leave a lot of reviews but don’t want people making the disappointing, expensive mistake we did! For starters we ordered Mac and cheese bites were average, salt and pepper squid which simple didn’t have any squid in it and finally beef burnt ends which were the best things about the meal! Then the main course came I had the sirloin steak asked to be cooked medium, my partner had the ribeye steak asked to be cooked medium - rare. When my steak came out firstly I noticed was the height of it, it was about 6inches high and not very wide and looked very charred on the outside, my partners was like an piece of cardboard and looked anaemic. When cutting in to our steaks mine was rare in the middle well done on the edges and extremely dry and simply tasteless and extremely charred on the outside, it wasn’t good. My partner’s who asked for a medium rare, was cooked well done it was also tasteless, looked like a bit of thin cardboard it was disgusting. The sides were average at the best, triple cooked chips which were clearly only cooked once! Onion rings had a very strong taste of beer and the pieces of onion were nearly not existent, truffle mac and cheese which was actually pretty good. So to sum up, the staff in the restaurant were super friendly, we got 25% discount off our meal when complaining about the cooking of the steaks. The food when you’re charging top prices not worth it, this place is just a glammed up harvester serving worse food.

Rude unhelpful staff, namely lady with the rainbow lanyard. Situated at the bottom of a premier inn that says it all, didn’t bother ordering food as we decided it wasn’t for us within sitting down for 5 minutes.

Chateaubriand cooked to perfection (rare). Staff 10/10.

Excellent service, food and drink.

Not really good, we ordered two lambs chops medium rare, arrived well done, to much well done!

Service was slow, took a long time to get a drink order taken and then took even longer to get the bill even after plates had been cleared. Brisket burger was very average, and the fries weren't particularly great and not hot. Seemed very pop de ping for restaurant prices.

The meals & desserts were fabulous 👌 My wife and I both had the Big Block Burger & my son had the Classic burger. All 3 were cooked to perfection. The waitress Lily was so friendly & welcoming and couldn't do enough for us. I would rate this 6* if possible. Highly recommend this place. We were here 15/2/24

Food was fairly average, this place is actually part of a premier inn the two different entrances are deceiving. For the price they charge you'd have thought the food would be a lot better than it actually was. Service was decent and was able to get a discount but this food was definitely not worth the price tag could make better at home.

Please note this is part of the premier inn, we visited due to good reviews on tripadvisor, but at £100 for two people it was very lacking. I ordered my fillet steak rare and with scallops, both were tough, hugely over cooked. The ‘signature sauce’ was also strange and very vinegary (and I am a huge fan of vinegar). Service was good, although the waitress did admit the prices for what you get are a bit silly. Portions were small and overcooked. Very much harvester with high class steak restaurant pricing, we’ve seen some top rated places with the same price points.

Service was slow and the food came old cold,I will not be going back there.

The service was lovely, Lee was very attentive and funny, the food was also nice. The only downside was it was quite cold in the restaurant despite not being close to a door.

If bang on average was a steakhouse, this would be it. Dirty bathrooms leave a lot to be desired, made up for by decent service and ambiance, just to come crashing back down with a poor cut of meat.

Visited for a small meal and settled on 3 small plates to share and a standard burger for myself. Service was brilliant with a friendly waiter who offered to clear another table for us when another party member arrived, which was very much appreciated. The food was lovely. Thank you!

The portions are much smaller than expected given the price. Would not recommend the burgers as you'll still be hungry afterwards.

Ordered the festive burger, extremely dissapointed with the value for money, £22 for a small brioche bun served with 'chunky' fries, although they came out as French fries in a small pot, burger crumbled it was so dry, flavours were nice, however staff were rude and didn't even get an apology. Went for a romantic Sunday lunch. Decided to have the Chateaubriand for 2 as we both fancied a steak. The cost of an amazing cut of meat worked out cheaper than chosing amy other cut as the Chateaubriand comes with sides, whereas the other cuts require you to purchase the sides. Garlic mushrooms were a nice accompaniment, but the garlic spinach was just a mush with little taste and not a nice texture. The chunky chips were OK, but I felt they lacked taste. The worst part of lunch was having to use the toilets. They could do with a refurbishment but I wouldn't have worried about that if they hadn't been dirty. Toilet roll on the floor and puddles of water in the cubicle. Would i go back? I am not sure. Its a shame as the steak, which is what you really go for, was amazing.

Service was amazing think the girl was called Rowan but 110% she’s a star! Food was really good my only complaint Steak over cooked for my liking so if you like medium rare ask for rare and you’ll get what you want. Would go again!

Only stopped in to meet friends before going to show staff were very friendly and I don't drink as i was driving and dont do soft drinks so just ordered a water, I often feel judged when just ordered a water but they were lovely

We have been in here for meals about 5 times since Jul this year & visited again on 25th Oct. For us we have always had a lovely meal with great service from the friendly staff. Our steaks have always been cooked just right & have been tender. Ideal for evening meal before going to the Theatre or Bath Forum. We will be back & don't hesitate to reccomend it.

Went to bath last week and loved the atmosphere at Bar + Block. The food was nice but the experience was what we enjoyed the most. Jemma was lovely and made our time at the restaurant enjoyable.

Everything was great. Rowen was a star. Only issue is the £6 for 2 little prawns for the surf and turf upgrade. I think that's a pretty shocking price for what you get so that took the shine off the meal.

Stayed at the premier inn attached and had breakfast wich was amazing and delicious and had an evening meal I booked wich was outstanding 😊

Went in on the of chance of getting some food as been in before and really enjoyed it but order food and drink and then waited half hours just for our drinks when asked staff at the bar not don’t anything apart from hugging each other and it was not that busy and really disappointed won’t be returning just so said

Amazing service and atmosphere, I often go for breakfast, since it's a Premier Inn buffet with extremely good value and under 16's eat for free.

Pleasant atmosphere combined with delicious food and the first restaurant I ever tried a medium-rare steak in! Absolutely delicious, will come back when we are in England again. Definitely recommend if you want an awesome night out! Special thanks to Sofia for serving us today and making the night more special, she's an amazing waitress!

Very quite restaurant when we arrived for lunch but that gave the waitresses more time to interact with our kids, which was an added bonus!

OK so I only ate here this evening as I was staying at the premiere inn andit was pissing down with rain and couldn't be arsed with getting soaked wandering round looking for a restaurant. Can't believe I was served such a well cooked steak and really tasty sides. I had the spiral cut ribeye. Cooked to perfection. I've been a chef a long time and I am rarely happy with a meal out. Seen a few negative reviews I know things can go wrong when it's busy but this evening I sat watching the chefs work like a team smashing the food out

Service and venue very good. Decent drinks menu. But it all comes down to the food. We had the Chateaubriand for 2 @ £65, they recommend it medium rare, so that’s what we ordered, it came in a timely manner, the steak was tasty and tender but more medium, so a bit over cooked for us really. But the vegetables………. The tenderstem broccoli, samphire and spinach that came with the dish were all massively over cooked, tasteless and soggy. Very disappointed as it is really just the basics, that then spoilt what could have been a decent meal. All fur coat and no knickers unfortunately. If you want to be able to charge those prices fine, but the food needs to be good enough to justify them, and it just wasn’t.

Compliments to the chef and waiting staff. The staff were very pleasant and polite and the chefs done an excellent job making multiple dishes for our table. All food including two lovely rib eye steaks were spot on. Will definatly be coming back. Thanks guys for a lovely evening.

Went here with friends on a Saturday lunchtime for the Bottomless lunch menu, which is two courses plus bottomless prosecco or lager (bottomless cocktails cost slightly extra). Alex, who welcomed us, and served us, was a brilliant host. Very efficient and friendly and went out of their way to make our experience a good one. The place itself is clean and modern and nicely laid out. Plenty of quiet corners to sit and lots of space for big groups, like ours. The food was excellent, and plentiful, and we definitely got our money’s worth with the bottomless drinks! Would definitely return.

My husband and I had a lovely date night dinner here. Great value - three rounds of cocktails and lots of food; £65. Rowen looked after us wonderfully all night. Don’t be a snob when considering eating here - yes it’s attached to a Premier Inn but we had a fab time.

I don't live anywhere near Bath, but you come to a Premier Inn & the restaurant is always reliable, right? Wrong. The service was terrible here. I patiently waited an hour before I made any sort of complaint, & then I was the soul of politeness - I'm not someone whose hobby is leaving terrible restaurant reviews, I swear. But nothing happened after that. Then they brought out my meal with coriander. I'd said twice in the past hour & an half I didn't want it. More time went past & hey. Maybe it wouldn't matter if I hadn't travelled 7hrs to get to this majorly substandard steakhouse I would've had even more patience, but by this point it had totally ran out. It was 9pm. So I went to the vending machine, where, hideously ironically, they had flame grilled steak crisps... So yeah. Walked out. Do not come here. Just. Don't. Do It.

Unfortunately, we did not get any pictures of the food. Throughout our visit we were greeted with wafts from the kitchen so by the time we received our food we were ready to eat. My mother and I enjoy a blue steak and that was the best blue steak we have ever eaten from an establishment. There was no judgment, the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. We arrived with the intention of having a couple of cocktails, making use of the 2 for 1 offer. I explained to our waitress that we may be there a while and they were happy to book the table off for us so that we could feel free to take all the time we needed. We only managed to get the Chateaubriand to share as afterwards we were sufficiently full. We will definitely go back the next time my mother is visiting. Thank you for a lovely evening.

The food here is delicious and freshly cooked. You can see the chefs cooking your order. The restaurant is nice and quiet but the tables for 2 are very small. The service here is friendly and efficient. I would recommend this restaurant and I would certainly dine here again.

OMG, what can I say! Service was amazing, incredibly friendly waitress (Sarah), gave as good as she got on the banter. Starters were great, mains was amazing, accommodated the fussy ones and the not so fussy ones. I would recommend to anyone, well worth the money.

The staff were polite and very helpful. Our food was very nice and cooked just as we asked. The complimentary beef popcorn is delicious. The only downside was a very wobbly table despite all the napkins under the feet of the table.

Awful. I have been to so many Premier Inns and their attached restaurants. This is one of the worst. The photos on Google are stock photos. Not from the restaurant. Ordered a chicken breast, baked and peas. The chicken breast was a tiny square, burned and dry. The baked potato was dry and when I asked for something to put on it, butter, anything, they looked at me as if I were mad. The next morning I tried the breakfast. The back bacons were in a tray, hard, dried up and cold. Why this “chef” would allow this poor level of quality from his kitchen is shocking. Restaurant was also very dirty. Wont be back.

Family of 3, including a teenager. Bugers were charred to a crisp and quite dry. It was very disappointing considering the price. Salad was lovely, fresh, and delicious. Staff were friendly, although very preoccupied with what looked like staff training, so despite it being almost empty we had to wait a while to be served and the poor lady at the bar was rushed off her feet as she was the only one making cocktails AND taking bar orders for food even though there were 5 staff on the floor 'looking busy' or training that I could see. Despite staying in the above hotel for 4 days, we did not return.

Fish bolck and fillet both was burnt too much, and the taste was a liitle bit bitter even. Anyway not that good, not a good dinner choice.

Dry, chewy, overcooked king scallops. Juiceless 12oz ribeye that tasted only of the grill. "Triple Cooked Beef Dripping Chips" that tasted of the freezer. Flavourless mushroom and red wine sauce. All for a cozy £40... The only saving grace was the lovely waitress Sofija who was very personable and provided great service.

Waiter was eaither new or as he said "doesn't work sundays", only bought out 1 roast dinner but fixed this by giving us the second free. Every order was slow or wrong, didnt have dessert as we didnt trust it woukd come out correctly. But th3 food we did get was cooked beautifully.

We turned up late on a Thursday night so were pretty much the only people in there. Food was quick, hot and good. Waitress was very friendly.
