We came from London to visit, we found this place on Google, we had dinner with the family, everything was perfect. Lahmacun was number 10. Everything was delicious. The employees knew their job and were excellent in service. Thank you Antepli restaurant 👍

Very disappointing! Table booked for 7.30pm when we arrived table not ready so we were placed in the room next door. Food had to been transported from restaurant next door which meant our food was taken outside to be delivered to us. Had to wait nearly 2 hours for food. Feel like the owner is taken too much on and possibly being a bit greedy so hence not meeting customers expectations.

Second time eating in this restaurant in less than 10 days. I really loved the first time when I came and the same impression left me this time as well. Highly recommend recommend.

We travel an hour and a half, each way, to visit this restaurant. Each time we come, we are blown away by the taste of the food, the atmosphere of the restaurant, the quality of service and the speed in which the food is served. My partner is Turkish, so we try lots of restaurants, but always return here. We usually have the Antepli Special Mix for 2 or 3 people, which is very reasonably priced. This comes with a side, salad, bread and dips, something you don’t usually get for free in restaurants nowadays. I have also been with my family and had the Mezze Platter for 3, which they were able to make vegetarian, this was also flawless. Other items we order, that we can recommend, are the Lahmacun, Lentil Soup and Baklava. We have not found any other Turkish restaurants that match Antepli for food quality and price. This is a meal we always look forward to.

This is NOT a fast food restaurant and a delicious meal takes time. Nevertheless, we didn't have to wait long for our meal with drinks and appetizers even though the restaurant was busy. The quality is very good and the portions are generous. If we lived closer there, we would come more often...

Very tender and juicy meat Prices are very reasonable

Myself and two friends ate in this restaurant last week. We shared a mezze platter, which was okay but not remarkable. We each had different mains. My seabass was very dry from being over grilled to the point of being crispy. One friend had the Halloumi (dry & tastless), the other had lamb shish (very dry). All were served with a boring rice side minus any sauce, just to add to the dryness. We will not be returning.

Well, after the last poor review - I felt I just had to write. It was my first time at Antepli. My husband came for a friend's 40th a few weeks ago and had the side room of the restaurant and said the food was outstanding so last evening I went with him, and my sister and her partner from London. Well, our waiter was utterly charming. The set price meal was first class with huge portion sizes and succulent meats - chicken, lamb shish, lamb ribs, wings, adana kebab, gorgeous dips, excellent bread, fabulous salad. The Merlot was excellent and superbly chilled bottled Efes delicious. I didn't have dessert but the rice pudding with coconut that my husband had was utterly delicious. As for value for money. I thought it was excellent and I'll be coming back regularly - so, person from Wimborne below - I have also lived in London and travelled to Turkey etc., etc. and I still think Antepli rates well. Perhaps, the servers didn't want to 'push' you into buying more food and drinks - we had no problem at all requesting a dessert menu or additional foods. Thanks for a lovely evening Antepli!

The staff were great, the service was good

We went today and they took it to the shop next door because there was no room for it. The man there was extremely rude. We asked for lahmacun and he said if you want lahmacun you have to wait 1 hour. We said we came to Southampton to eat lahmacun. He insisted that you eat something else. We said we would eat lahmacun. And the lahmacun came 29 minutes later, so we didn't wait 1 hour. Whatever we say, I can't do that. I can't do this. The next table asks for tea, he says there is no tea, why don't you understand? We asked for an account. He said pay cash, there is no post machine. Then all of you pay a lump sum. He said, "I can't get separate accounts." I have never seen such terrible service. I will never come again.

This is way far from Turkish food , everything just tasteless

Those Needing Special Diets Beware! What’s written on the menu might not be what you get. Always, always check that you are getting a gluten free option even when it clearly says GF on the menu. I told our waitress when we arrived that I need a gluten free diet. I was cautious about starters and messe (which turned out to be fine) but confidently ordered the seabream which was marked GF on the menu. When it arrived it looked like there was a piece of flat bread on top. Shockingly this turned out to be the case. I checked with the waitress who agreed it was bread. I reminded her I cannot eat gluten. To her credit she did offer me another dish but as I’m sensitive not allergic, everyone else’s has arrived and I’ve had other evenings ruined by waiting and watching while everyone else is eating, I removed the bread and ate my meal. It was average at best. I used to live in London in a Cypriot area and I’ve traveled through Turkey so I know how good Turkish food can be. This wasn’t it. Disappointing as my partner and I had an enjoyable lunch here before and had recommended it to his son and his partner who were we treating that evening. During our meal no one asked how the food was nor whether we needed anything else, despite our not being a very busy evening. Consequently we had one drink each during the whole meal, weren’t offered desserts, coffee, tea or anything I’d expect from a good Turkish restaurant. The prices don’t reflect the quality the food or the service. I’d expect a lot more given how much we paid. From the moment my main arrived I stopped enjoying myself. I shan’t be going back which is a shame as with a few changes and some staff training, this could be turned around. I miss living in Harringay with so many good Cypriot, Turkish and Greek eateries and food shops. Still looking for a good Turkish locally.

This place is always busy and finally got around to visiting. Booked for a Saturday evening and it was busy. Lovely dishes although I did struggle what everything is so may have missed out on even more wonderful dishes. We had far more than needed and the portions were NOT small. Poor customer service, shame as the food was really nice. Got sat at a table right near the kitchen and toilets, a table we have seen other customers have had a problem with. Once we sat down every minute staff and customers were bumping into our table. Kindly asked to relocate and initially they said no, at which point we asked to take our food to go as we were fed up. they then said we could relocate, however we decided to take our food home because it had taken them ages to give us the option of moving, even though we had seen empty tables. Had the food in the garden instead and it was really nice food, just a shame the customer service was so poor.

I'm fussy. But the food here was amazing. We ordered a platter for 6 and there was spo much food. Reasonably priced aswell.

The restaurant manager treated the worker in an unacceptable manner. And he shouts at them. My experience with the manager was that my knee hurt and I put it on the next chair at the same table. He stood in front of me in a provocative manner and said, “Don’t put your feet on the chair, while I put my knees, not my feet.” He spoke in a provocative way.

The meat was uncooked and bloody. Even though we stated this, no one was interested or changed it. The soup was leftover from yesterday. Even though I stated it as a courtesy as a Turk, no compensation was made. I'm disappointed

Food was very poor. This is the second time here. Honestly very dry bread and grillrd meat. Flavour was ok. All meat were burnt to black and hard.Juice ordered were not fresh.spent £75 for four people. Customer service looks like they are always in rush and not listening properly and bringing different things.This is what my experience.

Have been dining in Antepli for many years now. Staff are always welcoming, food is absolutely delicious, fresh and plentiful. It is a good idea to book a table beforehand though as it can become quite busy in the evenings (hence, you might be offered a table in the bar and the only way for your food to arrive would be, what it looks like, from outside). Have introduced the restaurant to many of our friends too. Thank you Antepli!

Staff were not overly friendly but the food was excellent

Absolutely amazing! We were lucky to have a table because we haven't booked any. But they managed to have a table for us which is so super nice from the waiters because it was a full house. The waiters were lovely and helpful. The food was amazing! Well worth trying it. Was tasty and fresh, and the salad was so amazing. I couldn't stop eating it haha. Was lovely! We will definitely return!

The staff are super friendly and polite. I must say the food was disappointing, well presented but it was like boiled chicken in an extremely oily tomato and pepper sauce, absolutey tasteless, not species, no even salt and really heavy so I felt sick the following day, quite a poorly cooked dish for £19. I have had Turkish food and is nothing like this, at least what we had. Too many tables with little room to eat comfortably, you can hardly move. I feel sorry to give a bad review as they were kind but we spent quite a few quid and did not enjoy the food. We will not come back.

We went to Antepli when the Air Show was on in 2022 and we went away taking food with us. This time, since the refurbishment, the portion sizes have massively decreased. What’s even more strange is that they bring in the food and drinks from outside. What do they do when it’s raining? While the service was still good, I still felt hungry afterwards. Wouldn’t recommend and unfortunately won’t go back. Such a time as before the referb you really got your monies worth.

Birthday party today at lunchtime for 12 people , was booked ahead of time , foods delicious, service is exceptional, we were not rushed and had some Turkish tea after food ! Honestly , the place is buzzing ! Can’t wait for the next one which is already booked for 15 people !

Very busy place but the food is good and plentiful. Reserving a table is a must if you wish to dine on a Saturday night.

Excellent food, generous portions, and friendly staff

A family meal with 8 of us, shared the 6 person sharing platter. Initially we had bread, dips and salad, all very nice. Then the sharing platters arrived, lamb, chicken all delicious, very well cooked and my two hungry teens devoured all the meaty deliciousness. We found the staff to be helpful, friendly and not too intrusive when we were in the midst of conversations etc. Great value, great service, nice modern decor, we will definitely recommend and be returning.

Visited here for the first time this evening and will definitely be going back. The food is excellent, plentiful and very good value. The restaurant has a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Had to wait for a table but it was well worth it. Can't wait to return and try more dishes.

The food was amazing; first time I’ve had liver since I was a small kid about 40 or more years ago. Mixed grill was gorgeous and all the complimentary sides (Turkish bread, salad in a delicious minty dressing, various dips) were very tasty too. The staff are a real credit to the congenial host. Will definitely return soon.

There is a restaurant in Charminster, Where we went and ordered a mixture, My Mum thought the kebab, Was totally fab, This will become a permanent fixture

3 months ago:Just did a table of nine, first time visit. The food is superb, and huge portions of everything. They happily give you leftovers in takeaway boxes - it's far too good to leave behind! Faintest quibble is that I would have liked to see the table cleared when we were all clearly finished. But would recommend - the chef needs an award! 01.10.23: Table of 10 for Sunday lunch. Very busy, unsurprisingly. But attention to detail and service once again superb. Every table taking home boxes of food. Everything, yet again, delicousl. Not a bad word to say.

Hello. The restaurant is very friendly and nice, clean. That's the whole experience. We asked for a 3 person platter but it was a huge disappointment. It was full of tiny chicken wings. A couple of chicken/parsnip pieces and stick fish and brown ribs. Even the pieces were served half raw. But the ribs were inedible raw and bloody. We called twice for it, we called the waiters. The only response was sorry. Half the plate was inedible. I was very disappointed as we were celebrating my daughter's graduation. Unfortunately, I will definitely not go back.

Since I am Turkish, we wanted to choose a Turkish restaurant. Everything we ate reminded us of Turkey. I've never eaten such delicious kebabs even in Istanbul. We recommend it to everyone! Especially the baklava and lahmacun are amazing!

What a fabulous find, really authentic food and lovely atmosphere. The smell of food is gorgeous! We tried so many things but we absolutely loved the salad and and pastes offered. Service was fast and we loved it The place is clean and very beautiful done, toilets were spotless and all in all good experience. Total came to £60+ but we were fuullllll.

If you dont want customers to come to your shop at 9pm then change your time and keep your closing time 9pm if you start crying that oh we closing in one hour!NEVER VISITING AGAIN NEITHER WILL I RECCOMEd!
