The food looked delicious. It sounded great on the menu, too. But... my chicken noodles tasted mostly of ketchup! My wife's meal, on the other hand, was seasoned with Maggie's. If you like that... It was okay. But unfortunately, nothing more. Therefore, I can't recommend it. And the draft through the door was like a thunderstorm. Uncomfortable. A shame.

We walked in without a reservation and they managed gave us a table with about 70 min to eat, so try to book in advance. Even with the time limit we could eat in peace without feeling rushed. The food and service were excellent! The staff was very polite and attentive. The food arrived quickly and they asked if we had the dish before. We didn’t, so they explained the components and how you were supposed to prepare and eat it. It was very delicious. They asked us about spice levels and offered milder alternatives if we didn’t like spice. It wasn’t too spicy though, very pleasant and tasty. When they noticed some of us struggling with the chopsticks they also had little aprons to protect the clothes. All in a great meal, i can really recommend this restaurant!

My wife, my 6 months old son, and I stopped at this place 22 years ago for look around, and we were caught off guards by the shop owner and his wife, who invited us with the best and tastiest cup of tea with some homemade chilli dip. This pleasant experience still carries its ripple with us 22 years on. To the gracious shop owner and his wife, thank you so much for the great experience and May God Almighty bless you and grant you all your wishes. 🌹

When we first looked at the outside I must admit I was slightly sceptical thinking it was probably a very mid touristy place but we decided to give to a go and I am so glad we did. We were the first people there as it had only just opened and it was still quite early. As the restaurant was completely empty we were allowed to choose where we wanted to sit. The menu was varied and very reasonably priced with plenty of vegetarian options. Service was quick and the portions were perfect not too little but not so so much that we couldn’t finish it. For a family of 4 we ordered 4 main curries 2 rices and 2 naan’s as recommended by the server which turned out to be the perfect amount. The best Indian I’ve had in a long time and if we are ever in Edinburgh again we will definitely return! Highly recommend

5 out of 5 for the food - we tried the massaman curry and noodle soup, and couldn't fault either. You should be aware the restaurant isn't licensed, so you need to bring any alcohol you want to drink (and I guess they charge corkage) - fine for us, as we don't drink, and there were soft drink options. The reason I've given this 4 out of 5 is because of the booking system - there's an online booking system, which indicates you're making an actual booking, but you get an automated email back saying that it's not a booking and the restaurant will confirm, which they didn't. We decided to turn up anyway at our requested time and there were spaces, but didn't get the impression they had our booking. Food was worth it though.

Quite a mixed review here! Parts of Ooh Mami I liked and other parts need improving. The extensive drinks menu is exciting, the decor is quirky and the quiz was great fun! The bar is dog friendly too which is a bonus. The service was really quite slow unfortunately. It was table service but we found we had to just go up and order as there wasn’t many checks at the table. Food took a while to come too. The loaded fries weren’t really loaded, they just had a sprinkling of coconut on top, the sticky, honey glaze was non-existent. A few tweaks here and there and I would definitely review more positively.

Was there with friend and partner for a small thai dinner, the food was good specially Tom Yum Soup , although our main course was confused it was quickly amended and was also provided some prawn cracker, overal a good experience ambience and food.
