OohMami in Edinburgh, City of

Quite a mixed review here! Parts of Ooh Mami I liked and other parts need improving. The extensive drinks menu is exciting, the decor is quirky and the quiz was great fun! The bar is dog friendly too which is a bonus. The service was really quite slow unfortunately. It was table service but we found we had to just go up and order as there wasn’t many checks at the table. Food took a while to come too. The loaded fries weren’t really loaded, they just had a sprinkling of coconut on top, the sticky, honey glaze was non-existent. A few tweaks here and there and I would definitely review more positively.

A great quirky place with an awesome drink selection and amazing food. The staff are really friendly and there’s always something going on (quiz, live music, comedy) Definitely worth a visit!

My friend and I visited Ooh Mami two nights ago and were greeted by warm friendly staff who cracked jokes and made the atmosphere really chiled out and fun. The cocktails we ordered were tasty too and had great names! (Sex work is work, a twist on a pornstar martini was a personal fave)

The staff at Ooh Mami are super welcoming and were able to cater to our needs. They were able to make drinks that were not on the menu showcasing their fantastic knowledge and range of drinks on offer. We went in for one but ended up playing games from the wonderful selection and had such a fun night! A really chilled vibe and the food was delicious. We had such a fun night we will be coming back for the Jurassic Park quiz!

Great location, however that is where it ends. Staff were rude and judgemental, drinks selection is basic and boring. Would not recommend there are much better alternatives offering the same thing or similar.

Unique little venue in leith. Cute & really relaxed atmosphere. Great menu. Helpful, friendly staff. Dog friendly! Amazing cocktails too. Function room upstairs great for intimate gatherings or events. 5 stars. Highly recommend checking it out.

There are many good things I coud say about OohMamie however our recent vist was overall disapointing and underwhelming. I think the main reason for this is because it is advertised as a resturaunt when really it's a bar which does small snack plates. When you see it like that it's great; a huge range of cocktails, many orginal and inventive, with Asian inspired snacks. Our cocktails were great but the service was painfully slow. We thought we would get several plates to share however they would have been better for one and were often overpriced even for sushi. A warning to others would be don't expect what you've seen in photos. They've changed their menu a lot and don't do any larger things. For example there were no noodle dishes, burgers or bahn mi at all! As a bar, this is a trendy, place with nice decor but don't expect a meal. We were straight to a takeaway with an empty stomach and a considerably ligher wallet.

I didn’t know what to expect but am willing to try different things. My first experience of Asian fusion : Thai cuisine based menu. It didn’t disappoint! Just wish I’d had space to try more dishes. Think generous tapas like portions of Thai cooked snacks. Replace the Spanish sangria with a wide range of exceptional & great value cocktails. Very helpful and friendly staff who made me mocktails to order. Delicious nonalcoholic mojito henceforth to be know as the Nojito! The bill for five people comes as a shock as it’s such good value! Highly recommend you try this quirky cafe with its unusual range of food.

Vegetarian options were so good and the staff were so friendly. Charlotte made us feel so welcome! Great/unusual cocktail suggestions. A total hidden gem for tourists and locals with tastes that don't travel that far. I'll be back for more 😋

Loved this find! Delicious food, didn't need a booking, not sure why as the food was lovely and the service was great! Would definitely recommend to others. Great drinks and a quirky environment.

A fantastic café-style cocktail bar and southeast Asian street food restaurant, nestled amongst the shop fronts of Leith Shore's Bernard street (around the corner from Nobles, Port o' Leith etc). Staff are great, love a good bit of banter and the music is top notch. Cocktails taste like the menu was designed by a drinks genius! And their dumplings are hand-made with flavours ever-changing. The cool city walkthroughs that play on the TVs provide a beautifully simple escape in these times of no travel. It's a very unique venue to Leith, offering good drinks, good staff and good times.

This is a fantastic cocktail bar. They do all the classics, plus specials like Lagerita and an Old Fashioned with Slow Gin. Great small plates such as Japanese chicken wings and Halloumi in sweet chilli sauce. 2 TVs showing football/films etc. And to top it all Charlotte provides the friendliest service you could ever wish for. We went 2 nights on the trot and will definitely be going back.

I have been to Oohmami a couple of times now, solo or with friends. The staff is super friendly and the atmosphere is quirky in the best way. The food is lovely, try the chicken wings 👌 and their cocktail menu is on point. Would recommend anyone to pay them a visit.

Based on the previous reviews we were really excited to try this place. We only had vegan options so here is a summary of them, maybe the meat options are better: Vegan salad main course - was promised lots of pickled veg but was actually mostly some salad leaves and cherry tomatoes with no dressing for £7 Padron peppers - needed to be in 5 more mins or so to get that lovely chargrilled coating, the tamarind sauce was quite watery so didn't stick to the skin of the pepper, making it quite bland Summer rolls - mostly stuffed with rice noodles, had one tiny mushroom in each part Baguette - had a thin scrape of hummus, chilli sauce and a few pickled veg for £7. Make sure you get some topping or it would be a very plain baguette! Not sure how a baguette can ever be £9. The staff were lovely and it had a nice atmosphere the food was just a bit disappointing

Fab place, we happened upon this place in Leith, this and the Mintleaf were the best part of our visit. We had a few drinks and a snack bite of some homemade tortillas and dips. They were lovely. Great atmosphere, great staff. If you happen to be in Leith visit here, it’s fab 👍🏻

Have visited here on a number of occasions. The food is always fresh and so tasty! The cocktails are always great and have hilarious names on top! Staff are friendly and really good atmosphere inside! Will be back soon!
