Authentic Chinese hotpot restaurant. Ordering is simple from a newly updated picture tick menu. So much fun selecting and stewing your dinner in a variety of tasty broths. Love the mix your own dips table too.

This is almost the self-service hot pot restaurant I go to most often in Edinburgh. The variety of dipping sauces is very complete, and there is also Zhen Huan's rice. There are also Swiss rolls that you can ask the front desk for. It's really good.

Just had a hot pot for a family of four. It was a really fun dining experience. Loads of different fresh ingredients to select from and cook in a variety of broths. Geat service too. Don't forget to take cash!

A few days ago, my friend and I went there just before closing time in the evening, but the boss was still very welcoming and even gave us milk tea. The hotpot was also delicious. It was really good.

Really impressed by the value for price! You can stay for 2 hours and eat unlimted hotpot, service is extremely fast - there really is no catch! We were full in 1 hour. It is a little cramped, but that is my only issue - was really nice and authentic food

A week ago, my husband and I indulged in an all-you-can-eat hot pot experience, and it was absolutely fantastic! Authentic Asian cuisine is in my top two, and this place did not disappoint—rich, flavorful broth, fresh ingredients, and an impressive variety. The only thing missing? That signature Szechuan peppercorn kick! I was hoping for that addictive, tingly-numbing sensation but didn’t detect any—next time, I’ll be sure to ask. Despite that, everything else was spot on, and the service was outstanding. Can’t wait to return!

This place only takes cash the card machine near it charges £2 go take money out so make sure you have some on you. The service was amazing! The staff were very friendly and helpful, the food was bought out promptly even with a full house. The food was good but it kinda got samey for me but it was great, my partner and I paid about £45 for the two of us which is reasonably priced for an all you can eat. The menu or staff tell you how long your food should be in the pot for but one thing I found was missing was that there was no chicken on the menu. Overall a good experience though which everyone should try at least once.

Always come here when I need a good and reliable hotpot place, the broth is always amazing and the food is always greats, and their sides are amazing.

It's 25GBP per person and it's an all you can eat style restaurant where you tick what you want off a menu. They're really not stingy at all and also do not charge for leftovers. We ordered lots of seafood and mushrooms. The staff were very nice and gave us some dipping sauce too. Would recommend. It's very steamy and there's a TV that plays Chinese movies. Reminds me of china. I love the atmosphere. It's very suitable for Thai people. 25 pounds per head and you can order unlimitedly. We ordered a huge seafood platter. There were crabs, razor clams, fish, shrimp, squid, everything. If there is anything left over, they don't charge extra. Recommended.

Really great authentic hotpot. They have lots of options and it's a very good price for all you can eat. The beef quality is very good, and they have a self serve sauce bar.

The boss is very nice! Eat the most cost-effective hot pot with fresh seafood in the UK. The rules are clear, and you can add whatever you want at any time. Strongly recommend razor clams.

There was a period of time when I went there once a week. It was cheap and full of food, and it helped me spend a long time writing my thesis.

Was looking for a hot pot restaurant and found this place. They quickly took our order and brought the food, there was a cheerful menu on the window, on which I saw that it was possible to make an unlimited order for a fixed price per person. In the middle of the meal, I looked at the inscription "cash only" which is not noticeable at the entrance or somewhere on the menu. So I went to the ATM for the first time in five years, spoiler (there are no contactless ATMs nearby), after ~20 minutes of searching I came back and we agreed that they gave us a business bank account to which we sent money. It was quite an awkward experience. The rest of the food was tasty and you won't be let out hungry, it wouldn't be bad if in 2024 the capital of Scotland had a payment terminal in a restaurant.

The price is affordable and the taste is good. I came in the afternoon but there were many people, so you may need to make a reservation for meals. The soup base and meat are pretty good. I recommend the razor clams and shrimps. The tea eggs and the lamb chops on the side are also delicious, quite good.

Xiangbala Hotpot isn’t a high-end place, but that’s part of what makes it feel special. It has a cozy, family-run vibe that really reminds me of something I’d do at home. The unlimited refills, including crab, are a great deal, and the beer prices are pretty low too, which is always a plus! The space is on the smaller side, so it can get pretty packed, especially on weekends. I’d highly recommend booking ahead if you're planning to go during busy times. Overall, it’s not fancy, but if you’re looking for a laid-back, homey hotpot spot, this place definitely delivers!

Really nice little hotpot place though it's a bit of a walk if you're coming from the center. But it's lovely, the waitress was happy to add more to our plate and we had enough to eat.

This time we went to this hot pot restaurant. Seafood is very fresh. The price is only 23.5 pounds. All you can drink soda is only 3.5 pounds. Very good value.

What a brilliant place. We booked and when we arrived our table wasn’t quite ready yet. I get the feeling that it’s hard for them to make exact bookings, but it was fine and we got a seat after a 10 minute wait. There were some rude customers in front of us trying to get a seat and shouting at the staff. The staff were all really lovely and did their best to make these women happy. The food was incredible, and such good value for money. The people working there were all super attentive and came to fill our broth every few minutes. It’s not fancy, but it’s good food served by good people. Will definitely be coming back!

If you are bringing children to dine, please ask the real clerk first about the age definition for half-off children. It turns out that it is 9 years old. I didn’t know until after eating😅

First time visitors today. It won't be the last time. Phenomenal food. Such a great way to spend a couple of hours cooking your own choice of food. The tomyum broth with prawn mince was delightful. Staff are very friendly and helpful and can see when you haven't eaten there before then lend a hand to explain how everything works. 👍🏻

Tomato hotpot and spicy hotpot are both delicious. Recommend razor clams and fat beef.

First time for me to try chinese hotpot and it was delicious!! We tried a few things on the menu and loved everything. We got the spicy broth and the special chicken broth, but I prefered the spicy one! There is also a sauce bar where we can make our own sauce and little hedgehog red bean bun! The price was £23,50 per person with a drink for £3,50 with free refill. Booking a table beforehand is better. Highly recommend, I loved it!

Definitely recommend to book in advance as it normally very busy. There were plenty of dish selections for the hotpot which all tasted great and the staffs were friendly and warm welcome.

First of all, the taste is really good. The boss is very generous and always provides a lot of dishes. Even though it is a buffet, I am worried that I will not be able to finish it as a customer. Once again, the waiters are really great. They are friendly and diligent. They treat every customer with care and are very discerning! The boss should be kind to them attentively~~Many Chinese restaurants will probably be vying for such a great waiter😆

Booked a table, Showed up 5 minutes early and can see a table isn't available yet. Tells me its cash only. Told them no problem i will just go to cash machine. I comeback and they have given my table away and wanted me to wait next to the toilets

Totally authentic. I've never ever seen this before in the UK. My colleague has spoken about this type of restaurant in China and I have always been intrigued. Essentially you cook your own food on a heated table. Choose two different broths and then order fish shellfish meats, veggies to cook in the broth. Help yourself to a spice dish and have fun. I totally recommend but be prepared to have dinner with the local Chinese community and just enjoy.

The hot pot was not that impressive.

It was more cost-effective and delicious than the Hai Di Lao I had in London. The tomato soup was especially great! The ingredients are fresh and I'm so happy to have a restaurant like this so close.

All you can eat for around 20 british pounds. Soft drink flat for 3 pounds. Choosing from quite limited selection of ingredients. Broths are okay and authentic. Very nice and flexible personnel (we spoke mandarin) High demand, the restaurant is extraordinary full in terms of space.

A good variety of soup base to choose from. Love the razor clams and scallops! You don’t get these from an all you can eat hotpot in london. Service is very efficient. Remember to book otherwise it’s hard to get a seat at dinner hours.

Poor customer service, the staff rushed me to order the soup for the hotpot and drink. The dirty plates were left on the table until we paid the bill. They kept the menu at their counter unless you asked for it to order food. The crab was tasteless. They wouldn’t tell you if one of the item is out of stock. I asked for the water to the staff, he nodded his head without answering, he ended up didn’t give us anything. One of us went to the staff and ordered again. So disappointed, I had hotpot here couple times before Covid, the food was good and customer service was fine. We could keep the menu and ordered anytime.

We booked a table for 5.30pm when we arrived our table was waiting for us. We got given the laminated menu to tick what broth and food we wanted and our drinks order. They checked what broth we where having and went to get that sorted whilst we finished picking the food. The hot pot broth got set up and switched on. The service is outstanding and there very friendly. Our food arrived within minutes. The lovely lady and young man where so good the lady explained cooking times and the young man helped with the dipping sauce which was amazing. Juice is £3.50 and it's refilled as well as many times. Tomato broth and curry broth was really nice. Selection of Chinese vagtables,meats and seafood. Our pot kept being refilled with water every so often and was asked if we wanted more meat. I advice to book as there was never a table empty for more than 5 mins. People where getting turned away as there was no tables. It's a small restaurant but very busy. It does get hot but that's to be expected. It was a lovely experience as we are Scottish and never had anything like it before but certainly won't be the last time can't wait to go back. Thank you for such a lovely experience.

Pros: The food at the restaurant is delicious, with a wide variety of choices and flavorful sauces. The staff is attentive and provided good service. As a fan of Sichuan hot pot, it was a delightful experience to taste it again after not having it for six years. The staff was always prompt in refilling our water and bringing more food whenever we needed it. Cons: The overall appearance of the place could be improved. Additionally, the air conditioning was not functioning properly during our visit on a warm summer day, making it slightly uncomfortable. One significant downside was that the restaurant only accepted cash, and the notification about this was not prominently displayed. We only noticed the small note on the wall when it was time to pay, which was inconvenient and came as a surprise.

Value for money and pretty authentic taste. The highlight was the staffs, they’re very friendly and efficient!
