Thai2go in Edinburgh, City of

I was last here about two years ago, just after the pandemic, the food then was absolutely superb. Visiting Edinburgh again , I just had to visit this restaurant again and I was so happy to see that they are not only still open, but thriving ! The food is absolutely phenomenal, so fresh and full of flavour. I live in London and have access to many great Thai restaurants but none of them compare to this modest, family run and friendly restaurant. It does take away but I don’t think they deliver to London, if they did…. I would ! This restaurant is as good as any Nichelin Star restaurant I have been to, which brings me into the fact that Thai 2 Go, Edinburgh, is well deserved of a Michelin star !

I nipped into this place while passing through edinburgh on the back of good reviews and it didn't dissapoint. In my experience quality thai cuisine isn't that easy to come by. The food is restaurant quality but in a quick and casual cafe setting. Lots of customers and take out orders. If I lived nearer it would also be my first choice go to for take away. I had the pad thai and deep fried banana fritters (in coconut batter!) which I would recommend. Staff are lovely and make the place what it is.

Great place, we ate in but could see a steady flow of takeaways. Staff were very friendly. The food was fresh and tasty.

Best Thai food in Edinburgh. Friendly and authentic local vibes. Every dish I've had is excellent, right down to the salt n chilli chips. You can see into the open kitchen where fresh ginger and broccoli is being cut and fried. I've been here loads of times and had takeaway delivery too, it never disappoints. Amazing fresh ingredients and no MSG. Really nice people and service too.

This place is my fav Thai restaurant/Takeaway in Edinburgh. Everything on the menu is very tasty, I love Pad Thai, so Prawn Pad Thai is the best I ever had in Edinburgh. Highly recommended this little place.

Curries were watery, and full of filler veg. I was so excited because I had finally found drunken noodles on a thai menu here in Edinburgh! Disappointed again. Nothing like the drunken noodles I was used to eating in the US. Don't bother with this place, very average food which is overpriced.

fabulous staff...fabulous food...good sized portions and all very reasonably priced...oh and byob....HIGHLY recommend

Egg fried rice with crispy fried chicken was quality but needed more sweet chilli dip than the tiny container provided. The let down was the Pad Mee noodles. We arrived home ready to eat but had to immediately return to the restaurant since the noodles were not egg as we had requested. We were given a replacement: fresh, carefully prepared vegetables through a sauce that was watery and bland. Certainly this was not the same, absolutely delicious, takeaway Pad Mee of our first visit 2 weeks ago.

I've been here numerous times for take away and I've always come away so impressed with the quality of the food. Super fresh, delicious and much better than most of the Thai restaurants in the centre. Highly recommended!

It was through Tripadvisor that I marked this restaurant on my list to try out. There are many halal options around the old town but more or less the same taste or cuisine and Halal Thai food comes as a good change. The owner/s were very welcoming and friendly and helped me to order my food. I ordered the Drunken noodle and chicken fried rice and both were delicious, there were exactly to my taste. The portions were good size and value for money. I wouldn’t mind going back again.

Ordered for delivery to our hotel and received in under 30 minutes. The food was amazing, the guy who dropped it off was great and we would thoroughly recommend. Massaman curry was delicious and everything tasted fresh and authentic.

Ordered a takeaway tonight after meeting the owners in a cafe today. Lovely people! Thai basil chicken yum! Beef with cashew nuts yum! Pad Thai yum! Fresh, authentic and not over seasoned or flavoured. And our dog Mr Ted got a lovely treat on collection! We’ll be back!

This place deserves a Michelin Star ! I had the best Thai food, and I’ve had plenty, of my life ! The food was superb, fresh and packed full of flavour. Three of us sat in and was very warmly welcomed and treated. I cannot recommend this place and food highly enough. Thank you Thai2Go

I've tried all of Edinburgh's Thai takeaways/restaurant's, non compare to this, the ingredients are freshly cut, often when visiting you'll see start busy chopping fresh produce away, the ingredients I've been advised are clean and avoid msg and synthetic stuff. The drunken noodles are 10/10...
