The best restaurants serving Asian food in England

This is a great East London institution. I love bringing out of town guests here. Food is great but I think you need to order with care. Noisy and bustling so great for groups but not so much for a romantic date. Very cheap and BYO. It's quieter at lunchtime when service is so quick you can get back to the office in time with a cab to the City or the Elizabeth Line to Canary Wharf. Because there are not many off licenses in this part of Whitechapel we always buy wine at the Tesco on the western end of Fieldgate St if we are coming for dinner. We start with the plain salad, pappadoms and sauces that are brought when the table is set. I like to dress my salad with the spicy green chutney. We always order the signature grilled lamb chops, chicken tandoori, and seekh kebab to start. I've heard that the tikkas can be a bit tough and I have been disappointed with the prawns and fish grilled starters in the past. The curry mains can be disappointing. But the dahls, baby pumpkin and dry meat are always dependably great. Don't miss the homemade bread. The naan's are delicious but swimming in butter so also order a roti or two if you want a less decadent bread for mopping up curries. Service is very efficient though sometimes timing can be haphazard, with for example arrival of bread. It's always a great experience though. They do now take bookings and I would recommend that which shortens the wait time to under 5-10 minutes. It's great value. A copious meal for four came to £91 including service charge.

I popped into Lychee Bay for late lunch at 2 today and really enjoyed my meal. All of the staff were just lovely too. I had a quarter crispy duck, veg in garlic sauce and egg fried rice. It was all fresh and very delicious! The air conditioning was nice too. The only thing i would have preferred personally would be if the music was a little quieter, though it wasn't very loud at all. Thank you.

Happened to see this walking from Euston station. What a gem. I was afraid it would be too spicy, but there were many tasty mild options for me. Great service, interesting food, really enjoyed the slow-changing pictures of Nepal on the 6 wall panels. Diverse range of happy customers - good energy, happy taste buds.

I ordered the chicken noodles with teriyaki sauce broccolli. I was watching a movie and I had time to go and grab some noodles before the movie starts. I order them and I tell the guys please do not put much oil if possible. He said okayy. Yeah I went and sit on my seat in the movies to discover when I opened the box that a horrible burned smell was coming out or if and when I tasted they had a horrendous burned taste. My movie had started but it was late and the shop would be closed after the movie finishes so I leave my movie and I walk again to the shop. They smelled it and they said yeah it’s because you’ve asked for no oil. And I said excuse me? I said IF you can put LESS oil. They made me another one which eventually smelled burned again. Not going again to this shop. £7.90 for burned noodles I could make from Tesco meal deal with £3

Un hotel muy básico, agradable producir realmente sabrosa Sri Lanka y platos del sur de India a menudo servido en bandejas de metal. Ordered saag paneer got some melted cheese on top of spinach. No paneer whatsoever. Will not be ordering again.

Tasty but i order seafood box with duck and shrimps extra, extra was 3 shrimps nail size and duck 2 pieces nail size. And the seafood was 3 small pieces of squid. So with all the extra i was searching for seafood and duck and almost nothing.

Decided to give Blue Orchid a go upon fancying a Thai. This is an expensive takeout so it’s rather a rare occasion we go for this cuisine. Unfortunately we felt it wasn’t the best Thai restaurant compared to the couple we have gone to in Bedford in the past. I felt the red curry I ordered, was rather bland with no creamy taste nor spice to it. It definitely did not taste like an authentic Thai curry. I also felt the meat within the curry wasn’t of good quality, almost like ready meal chicken and hardly much of it to speak of. The vegetables were also extremely hard and inedible so altogether felt like a wasted takeaway for the evening. On the positive side, we found the rice to be quite tasty. That was bursting with flavour! However, I believe the price we paid and what we received in return was not up to the standards we have come to expect with Bedford Thai restaurants.

Fast service and friendly staff. Must order chicken satays!! They are so good!!

Excellent meal, lamb dansak and sag mushroom balti were the highlights

Vine aquí para una comida de cumpleaños en 2018 con mi pareja. Recibimos un excelente servicio y la comida era deliciosa. El ambiente dentro del restaurante nos dejó boquiabiertos. Recuerdo haber pensado que era tan grande y que la decoración era excepcional. ¡Me encantaría volver con novias para aprovechar al máximo la pista de baile en la sección del club la próxima vez!
