Great food and really friendly staff

Delicious food by a Nepalese family, in an intimate setting. We were surrounded by photos of Nepal and its people, and it had a cosy ambience, with dark wood furniture, exposed brick walls and comfortable cushions. We had tasty, freshly made lamb and chicken momos in a creamy, piquant tomato-based sauce, and a medium-sized mutton choyala with rich, savoury flavours. Our lovely waiter, Suraj, was warm, welcoming, and just the right level of attentive. He gave us useful food recommendations and also brought complimentary poppadoms over, with dips - a perfect complement to our scrumptious lunch. All in all, a delightful experience.

The service by Suraj was impeccable! We’ve had such delicious Momos and would highly recommend this place for someone digging for Nepalese. Great location beside Euston Station as well.

I would be pleased to recommend this restaurant. We had a tight schedule of meeting relatives in London and Bas sensibly suggested pre ordering to maximise chit chat time! The choices suggested worked very well and we were treated to a feast! Great friendly and efficient service and reasonable price. Highly recommend

Service and atmosphere are great in this restaurant. Tried Nepali set which didn’t taste very authentic Nepali. Alu tama ( potato- bambooshoot curry) is no where near to actual Alu-tama taste ( so disappointed). Veg momo didnt taste great.. the fillings of veg momo was customised to foreign likings, therefore it tasted like boiled Samosa.

Very nice dinner experience here. Good Nepalese food - we ordered the set meal for one which comes with a variety of dishes to try including spicy veg momo, black dal, sag, mutton curry, potato curry with bamboo shoots, a spicy potato pickle and steamed rice. We also got a nariwal dhaniya to try which was a sweet coconut-based prawn curry with lots of coriander. All authentic Nepalese recipes and flavours which were all really enjoyable, and the lassi washed them down nicely. Highlight was the momo. Also staff were very friendly and took time to explain all the dishes. Five stars!

The portions were very small, even by today's shrinkflation standards. The rice portion was only enough for a child and the rasmali pudding was tiny and not worth the £4 price. The food itself was not inspiring. Very disappointing. I shall not be going again.

Avalanche of Errors! Having eaten here several times before, when visiting London, we confidently turned up for a table for 3. I can only guess that their chefs have all left and have been replaced by ...well, certainly not chefs. The 3 chicken dishes had to be returned due to incredible over salting. Literally inedible. They clearly just spooned out the meat, attempted a colorful looking sauce, and then re-plated, with half eaten Naan to boot! I KNOW the owner KNEW it was well below standard but we ate a little, and called it quits. He SHOULD of taken those dishes off our £114 pounf bill, which is an EXPENSIVE curry, though thst is not what we tried to eat. Such a shame as they have a good history. NEVER AGAIN! RIP as Competition in these times is a plenty.

Very nice staff, on the phone and in person. Service is fast. We shared 4 or 5 dishes, and they were all very similar and tasted pretty much the same. I found it odd that they covered the momo in sauce rather than allowing the customer to dip. The momo sauce was delicious though.

The food was tasty. This place deserves a good rating. I would be happy to return. We had momos, lasaan and lentils with both rice and naan. Lamb tased fresh. Thank you for not using food colouring.

Very good food, spicy without being strong, fast and pleasant service

The resultant is in a good location and is always spotlessly clean. Always great food, service with a smile & speedy service if you have a train to catch. Highly recommended.

After three visits, all great food and good service, this is pretty much my go-to for meeting up for a meal in central London.

My favorite is Momo. The main dishes are decent however the nans were not impressive. I would expect better nans to go with the dishes.

Delicious! Great atmosphere and friendly, attentive (but not overly so) staff. We went here as we couldn’t get in at Roti King round the corner and we really lucked out!! We subsequently went to Roti King in Waterloo the following night, and I can’t imagine why it is rated above this place in the “Best Places to Eat in Camden” category. Great Nepalese is exactly what it says it is. YUM.

The price per person was worth it. I was in a group of five. We did not have a reservation but didn't wait too long to be seated. The menu was extensive. We ordered beers, starters, each a main dish and naan and rice. It was awesome. Each dish had distinct tastes. Serving sizes were decent. Quality of curries were high. Good service. If I go back I'd have much less and on average the price per person would likely be 20 to 30 pounds.

Tasty food, friendly and attentive service

A really decent experience here. I went here with my gf yesterday for lunch as it was our 9th month and we both really liked Nepalese food. There aren't many Nepalese restaurants which open during lunch hours. We ordered a set menu for 2, which included a starter, main, and dessert. We also ordered 4 pieces of lamb momo in addition to that. The food was indeed great Nepalese food. They were all packed with maximum flavour. The sauce for the momo was slightly spicy and their momo was so good. We bother liked the lamb curry (lamb bhutuwa, in the main) and the momo the most. The set menu alone is already enough to make 2 people full. The service was great. Plates are being taken away and food was served just on time. There were also photos on the wall featuring Nepal and the members of this family-owned business. Liked everything.

OMG, I used to come here alot in the 90s and have been perhaps a couple of times a year since until COVID but not since. I was remembered which is a great start to the evening. Our meal was absolutely fantastic. Clean flavours, depth of flavour and just the right amount of spice. I have always rated this restaurant highly and so nice that after all this time it is still going, still as good if not better. This time I introduced my daughter and I know she will be back again too. Thank you.

Went for a meal after an event at Euston. Trusted my gut and went with the reviews on Google. It was a pleasant surprise. The food was freshly cooked and tasted amazing. Loved it! Highly recommended!

Very average food, not the biggest portions, and overpriced. All of the curries were quite bland, no spice even to the ‘spicy’ ones, and far too much sugar in everything. The naan was overcooked, dry and unpleasant. Some of the prices are seriously way off. £4ish for the tiniest potion of rice, and £4.50 for mango lassi had me expecting a proper sized large glass like in other restaurants, instead a tiny 150-200ml glass arrived? And again it was far far too sweet. We left feeling disappointed and somewhat ripped off. At £28 a head I expect good quality food and sizeable portions and this place provided neither. Many South Asian restaurants provide just that for literally half that price. The food here is quite bland and far too sweet, frankly doesn’t taste anything like the South Asian food of various regions that I know. Perhaps that’s just Nepali though, although google doesn’t suggest so. The service however was friendly, prompt and faultless, hence the extra star.

The food here is authentic at this family restaurant and delicious. Service is excellent, and it's a great place to go whilst waiting for a train at Euston or Kings Cross, as they can accommodate your timetable. I'd recommend this excellent restaurant.

This was the best meal we had in London. The restaurant was cozy and charming with "windows" showing scenes of the people and places of Nepal. The staff was were very attentive. And the food was amazing. We had the Momo and Samosa to start and split 4 different main courses. Each one was perfectly spiced, full of flavor and a real treat accompanied by Napalese beer. No complaints and will return on our next trip to London.

A small restaurant between St Pancras and Euston stations. Lovely friendly service good food and enjoyable Nepalese beer. A good find and one to rebook in the future.

Nice little restaurant very close to Euston. I popped in for a late dinner whilst waiting for my train. It’s only a two minute walk from the station and much nicer than the usual generic places on the station concourse. I ordered the set meal for one and wasn’t sure what I would get but was delicious nonetheless. Will be using this place again when waiting for a train. Although it was around 2130 on a Wednesday evening, it was fairly busy so booking might be recommended

The Great Nepalese continues to live up to its outstanding reputation as one of the best value Nepalese restaurants in London. The food was perfect and the service attentive from some newer as well as older members of staff.

Popular restaurant a short walk from Euston Station, but down a rundown street. Tables close together, so quite noisy but service was good and a wide menu. Management need to do a lot better to make clear what vegan or vegetarians dishes are available. Portions were small to the point of don't come here if you have an appetite and a credit limit Tasty enough, but the owners are taking your money by density of customers and portion size

This was one of the worst restaurants I have been in London. I am a Nepali and took my friends to try Nepalese cuisine and I was embarrassed! This is just down the road from Euston station. Service was really friendly. I was dining alone & had sn Onion bhaji to start followed by the Lamb Khursani , it was delicious. Just surprised by how quiet it was for a Saturday night. But will go again next time in the London Euston area.

On this visit to London we decided to try new places as a change from our regular places. We passed Great Nepalese on our way back yo our apartment and decided to try it after a brief look at the menu.We were welcomed in, and sat near the windows at the back to try and catch the breeze. It was clean and well presented, and with four large screens showing Nepalese culture and people it was a refreshing change from gaudy artwork and dusty fake plants.We went with the Nepalese dishes; Chicken Momos and the Mixed Starter, then Mutton Tikka Bhutuwa and Lamb Lasoon with pilau rice and garlic naan. The flavours in each dish were new and a change from the usual Indian generic curries served in many restaurants. They were punchy - especially the garlic loaded Lasoon - but not over spicy or hot, and an absolute treat.We will DEFINITELY be back next time we're in London, and I'll happily recommend it to anyone. The staff were lovely, weren't over attentive, and the evening was a joy.

My Airbnb gave me a coupon for this restaurant so I decided to try it and was pleasantly surprised. Some of the best Nepali / Indian food I’ve had in a while. The restaurant is clean and welcoming and the service is great. The Sag paneer is especially delicious.

This was our second visit In a year and just as enjoyable. The decor choices are a bit interesting and somewhat multimedia but the staff are friendly and the food is good. The momos are my favourite and I could eat them all day. Three of us each had a different curry option and all went down well.

Not the same sadly. Lost some of its tradition and the new decor has contributed to that. Food good but not what it was with as much of a focus in Indian food. Shame, might be the end of an era.

Looking for "a curry" before the train home. Initial destination crowded, so walked up the road 100 metres. Wasn't crowded, staff were welcoming, helpful prompt. Food and beer were fine. Poppadoms, main, naan, side and large beer approx 30 quid/head. Would be happy to go back.

We were looking for a Nepalese restaurant as we had heard the food was lovely by friends and found this one just around the corner from Euston station beside our travel lodge hotel. We had the 3 course meal menu - nicely balanced flavours and good portions for £ 37.50 for 2 . Busy restaurant with a friendly atmosphere.

Una comimos en este lugar, pero mientras iba a mi habitación, vi chefs de este hotel fumando afuera. Su vestimenta, la apariencia estaba muy sucia y al mirarlos uno puede entender que no están siguiendo políticas básicas de higiene. Y no se puede esperar calidad de los alimentos de una persona que no lo mantiene limpio. Esta es una gran amenaza para su salud a su propio costo. Así que los amigos estén atentos mientras visitan la próxima vez.

a long standing Nepalese restaurant that has had a refurbishment since we were all last there and is very attractive inside ,delicious momos to start (dumplings) as well as some samosas and poppadoms,when it comes to the main courses there is some very spicy Nepalese curries to try as well as the usual selection of curry's and some of there special black dall and other Nepalese sides all washed down with Gurkha lager

Had an excellent meal with family at this restaurant. We were going somewhere else but it was booked up so we wondered over to this restaurant my cousin had heard was good. Luckily we got there just before the crowd. The food was amazing and the service was excellent! The waiter recommended momos, a dumpling like starter which was delicious we also had the vegetable platter which I would recommend trying.
