Had two forkfulls found a toenail in my food.. not happy as it was fungal.. battered prawns smelt like ass.. diarrhoead it all out this morning anyways AVOID

AVOID AVOID AVOID You might be considering ignoring the numerous 1* ratings for this restaurant. You might be thinking "I'm sure it will be fine". Don't. It won't. Ordered on the kiosk, got my food and it was not what I ordered. Took it to the counter and the staff member just walked away from me mid telling him what was wrong with it. Manager Jason came over, agreed (after initially trying to deflect the complaint) eventually that the order was wrong. I was too frustrated at this point to eat so said I just wanted my money back. Jason refused to give my money back (so angry at myself for not challenging that because it's an unacceptable policy) as "they don't do refunds" but said he'd redo the food without the wrong ingredient in which I begrudgingly agreed to. Three mouthfuls in and I had to admit to myself that the food was just horrible. My son gave up halfway in because he said the food made him feel sick. My partner had the best experience of the three of us and described the food as "meh". Ultimately, nearly £42 wasted for food that simply was not edible. I've email the customer service demanding a full refund for all three meals to compensate the insult of an experience. I wouldn't accept vouchers because that heavily implies that I'd attempt to eat their shoddy food again. It's not just about the bad food and incompetent staff, it's about the loss of that family time that's ruined arguing with employees that refuse to do the right thing. Disgusting.

Avoid the hull branch. I order through Uber eats 2x hot boxes without any chicken as I am highly allergic. Both came with chicken. We tried calling the restaurant 30 plus times over a two hour period with no answer or response. complete waste of money as it could not be eaten. This could have been very serious if I had eaten the dish. Completely appalled by the incompetence by wok N go and lack of response to the numerous phone calls. I order from here time to time and usually enjoy the food. I will never be going back here again.

Popped in here this evening with friends 10/8/24 ordered, spring rolls panko prawns, cauliflower wings, sweets our noodles, tai noodles....Absolutely...cooked to perfection, tasty, hot and filing, tables clean, and staff friendly, great team effort. Thanxs and respect to all.

Freshly cooked noodles so the meal was really hot. I had the sweet n sour box meal deal with mini spring rolls and a can of cold drink. Only cost £11.10 for the regular size meal. Felt this was just right for me.

Have enjoyed noodles from here for many years. They have always been delicious. Went last Saturday... What happened? Didn't taste anything liked it usually does. Not tasty and so disappointing. Is this a blip or what I can expect from now on?

They continually display false advertising. They state the meals come with certain things but never have them in stick this has been for months

Absolutely shocking! Service was terrible, the young lady was very rude, has an attitude problem and needs to learn some customer service skills. Food was not enjoyable and barely any meat even though we paid for extra. If you are thinking about going, don't bother!

We ordered from here a lot but the past few times have been horrible. Firstly we got our order and took it home but they messed up my order, giving me carrots and spring onions in my box even though I pressed “no veg”. And just as we’ve been again, we decided to not order as they didn’t have fried rice. As we were leaving the establishment, the staff behind the counter were obviously talking about us coming in before closing (we arrived 30 minutes before closing) and started cheering as we left the door. Overall the food is mediocre but the service is horrid and I will never be ordering from here again.

Wont be going to Wok&Go again. I purchased 2 medium boxes 1 combo box and 1 teriyaki box, additional spring rolls. The boxes had literally 4 tiny cubes of carrot, NO broccoli, the smallest 5 bits of chicken, limited bean sprouts, no Asian vegetables at all, plenty of egg noddle's though, so I actually paid £19 for JUST egg noodles. I asked for soya sauce and was told its now chargeable @ .60p, asked for chilli sauce for the spring rolls, I was told I had to pay, asked for chop sticks and had to pay for those.

I have not been for a while everything had changed the young lad was lovely and helpful explained how to order and how things worked the girl was RUDE ignorant she just wasn't interested she shouted to tell me my meal was ready she could clearly see I was disabled and left me to struggle I went back to the counter to ask if I could take the rest home and the lovely young man put it in a bad such a lovely lad she said put your rubbish there as I was already struggling to the bin when I was leaving I asked if she had a review slip and she pointed to a app I said to the lovely helpful young man that he was so nice and friendly and helpful and that she was horrible rude and lazy and she asked me if I wanted her name and I said yes she replied KYLE spelling it out for me she needs sacking treating your customer's like that is the reason your restaurant was empty

Ordered salt and pepper shredded chicken. £9.15 No spice, no salt, rice was cold and hard. The chicken coating was burnt. Had absolutely no flavour. Took it back wasn't even offered a refund. Complete joke of a place. Avoid to save yourself the disappointment.

Just bought some Street fries to takeaway, nothing like as described in the menu. Chips were fried then they just added some Chinese 5 spice on top, tasted absolutely disgusting. No spring onions or coriander as described in the menu. Won't be going back

Nice when they don't put seafood in your meal that isn't meant to be in there or meat in a vegan meal. The "Go" part stands for "Go elsewhere if you want fried rice" as it's always"sold out", where sells out of RICE!? Especially so regularly.

Food is always good from here and I'm full every time, well worth the money

Good food just shame the sweat and sour sauce isn't thick like it was a few years ago

I found not one, but two hairs in my food. No one in my family has black hair so I know it’s not got in there from my house. I don’t usually leave bad reviews as I understand retail staff are busy and mistakes are made. Then I saw another review where someone else said the same thing. The fact that it’s a recurring thing shows me there is a substandard amount of care here and I would want to be warned about it if I was going to eat here. Will not be ordering again until the standard of hygiene improves.

We should have read the reviews before we went - nothing has changed ! The ordering machine wouldn’t work - lots of things not available- the staff were friendly but obviously talking about customers and taking selfies of themselves . Unsure if management actually read these reviews - they need to ! I wouldn’t waste my money again here.

Very disappointing, I ordered the seafood and I didn't see much seafood in there. When I questioned this, I just got told that the chef definitely put some in and told that if I don't find any when I eat it, I should come back. I found 4 of the tiniest prawns in there... A disgrace.

Large family all enjoyed the different meals. 3 kids wanted to come back again after their first time always a bonus. Didn't wait long to eat after placing a huge order. friendly staff

I went with my daughter and family on Sunday around 12.00 lunch time. We wanted to eat there so I found a table outside ,one of 3. All were on the dirty side with leftover food bits on them. My daughter and husband placed the order after I picked off the board menu outside. I can't eat hot, spicy or peppery stuff ( as my mouths a wimp lol. ). So I stuck to a safe bet of sweet and sour. Nope, ran out. Picked something else ... No, non left . So I had to have a combo box. Same with my daughter, something she wanted was not available so she had to have black bean noodle thing. Prices are on the high side and stuff could do with smiling lessons. Waiting time not too bad but one drink was missing so we had to go back in for it . NO. Chop sticks in a Chinese take away / restaurant ! Unbelievable that you have to pay for them if you want them . So we had to stick with plastic fork. My daughter's black bean box was disgusting . She said it tasted like eating a condiment of salt . She likes salt but this was mega salty , so over powering that salt was the only flavour.she could taste. Mine just tasted weird. I don't think we will be back again in a long while.

Wanted a quick meal and chose this over Burger King. Tried to use the order screens, half of it was out of stock and when you tried to add a side it took you back to the classics menu. A member of staff walked passed us twice with no offer of help so we left and went to Burger King. I recommend the Chicken Royale, was quick, easy to order and hot!

Please get one in Newcastle/Durham.

Card only on machines then it's preset to small not regular and couldn't see an option to change. Then why tried to change order at counter just ignored and spoke with their friends no even acknowledge. Had to go somewhere else to get my tea now waste of money. Hate that it's cashless too won't return now

Food is good, however experience was ruined by a hair deep in my noodle box. Surely an accident but just a remind to check food before eating in case.

Did a create your own but might as well not of done. Asked just for noodles, chicken, beef and mushroom. They added beansprouts, onions, carrots and some other green stuff. If I wanted that I would of asked for it. Barely any sauce the meat was rank! Disgusting!

Just ordered regular egg noodles with prawns ( teriyaki suace)and paid for extra prawns and also paid for panko prawns and a bottle of water which came to over 16 pounds. I counted 8 prawns in noodle box and 4 panko prawns. Everyting tasteless. I will never go back unfortunately but watch out folks

Ordered Padthai and Mixed. Padthai was delicious as I am Thai, and I am not disappointed at all. My husband and I love hot box as well it has a lot of favour and the spice is just perfect.

First visit to Hull and looking for somewhere to eat we passed Wok & Go which was busy which is always a good sign and browsed the menu outside. The floors and countertops were clean and so we decided to order using the big ipad type screens where you can pay contactless. We got a duck and Hoisin Large meal and a hot and spicy regular with drinks all for under £15!! We sat inside at one of the countertops overlooking the shopping mall and the food took about 10 minutes to arrive which was absolutely fine, gave us chance to rest after shopping and sanitise/freshen up. The food came piping hot, the noodles were well cooked, soft with lots of flavour, good distribution of meat and veg exactly as described on the menu. They provide forks if you dont want to use the chopsticks. We were wholly satisfied with our food, no dodgy MSG or oily after effects. The food is cooked fresh to order which is worth the short wait and I liked that you can see the chefs preparing the meals, they were regularly cleaning down the cooking area utensils and woks. Brilliant meal and amazing price.

We often go here and although the food is usually nice there's always something wrong with our order, My partner always gets the hot box and everytime we sit in he has to ask for extra spice as it isnt hot at all, we are all out of luck of we take out, whereas today we ordered the usual hoisin duck box and his hot box and we got a combo box with prawns in it, Starting to think that our custom would be more appreciated elsewhere especially at £9.20 per meal you'd expect to get what you order

Very rude and annoying, at the point of ordering staff. At the point of ordering, I chose the option of eat in, next thing I tried to sit and the staff said I couldn’t sit as sitting is no more allowed. Why let me order eat-in if I can’t sit to eat, because you have rolled up the chairs.

Where do I start?! Let's go with the service. First and foremost it is absolutely non existent. Not only that rhe girl on the counter literally looked like she wanted to be anywhere but there. I asked to pay at the counter as the machine didn't work, to be told I can't, even though i saw someone earlier. I couldn't get my order through so I said I will have to leave it. With a back wave of her hand she said, ok, while chatting to and equally uninterested young boy. I said the service was appauling to which I was abused! No other word for it. All down the escalator in fact. I asked who owned it and the boy said "i do" ok! Then he has a lot to learn. Absolutely ruined our day! Do not go near it. I doubt he does with that attitude. So incredibly bad.

Drove to st. Stephen’s to get wok and go as takeaway, ordered one box of black Bean with extra prawns and beef (coming up to £12ish) for my partner and ordered a make your own chicken and broccoli Katsu curry (£10ish) to get home and they be completely the wrong orders, in my partners no beef or prawns, which you pay extra for and not the right sauce, just was full of terrible bits of veg and the chicken was so mangled you couldn’t even tell it was chicken, and mine was a sweet and sour cause (which I hate) and was full of all the mixed veg of peppers (which I’m allergic to) and full of mangles bits of chicken again, really disappointing to open when you get home and even more disappointing that the staff couldn’t care less to deal with the complaint, requested a full refund seen as though we couldn’t even eat what they gave us, so we’ll see if we get one.

They have tonnes of vegan options. I ordered the tofu and rice. When it came, I questioned it as it didn't look anything like tofu. I was assured it was. I ate some, then took it back. It was chicken. Staff couldn't have cared less. I'm fuming. Despicable service.

Got katsu curry egg noodle it tastes like a bin bag that smell of a bin bag before putting it in the bin picture eating that it’s identical! Wouldn’t recommend

Working hard all day In the heat took a trip to collect a fan and thought I would cheer myself up with a wok n go, looking forward to getting home and putting my feet up with some cool air n a saucy noodle box. To my absolute disgust I was presented with boiled rice topped with tofu! Absolute shambles! Waited ages which I didn’t mind at first, waste of time and money this is the second time I have been disappointed. Don’t bother going

Good food, served quickly and was tasty and plentiful. Had a Chicken Katsu Curry Box and 2 Salt 'n' Pepper Crispy Shredded Chicken with Fried Rice. All 3 meals nice. £22.30 total which wasn't bad considering size particularly of larger Katsu curry.

Menu looked good and ordering was easy. Expensive for what it is although the portions are large.

I Went into the Hull branch for the first time yesterday and ordered a portion of 4 duck spring rolls for £4.20 and 2 noodle boxes for takeaway. Honestly I’d like to thank you so much! I hadn’t laughed that much all week, your portion size of duck spring rolls is the biggest joke going. I thought I was paying £4.20 for four actual sized spring rolls as that’s how you are falsely advertising them. But instead I received 4 little spring rolls, If you put them altogether I think they would of actually made a normal sized one. Day light robbery at its finest. Not to mention the noodles themselves which where not the greatest!

Ordered a large black bean box and after a few mouthfuls I had been sick in toilet! It was tasteless and I was very disappointed with the price!

Wok&go used to be my favourite place to eat in st Stephens. Being a celiac a meal like this isn't something I could usually find. After consistently being out of most options due to shortages, they permanently changed the menu and have taken away most GF options. The few that are left, while they could be good choices for others, are not for me. I won't be returning.

Called in for lunch- there are tables in addition to take away service. They were very busy but service was dreadfully slow. Food was very average, lacking in flavour. Expensive for what you get.

Have eaten here for years and always enjoyed but in the recent year food has massively gone down hill. Boxes are now tasteless with most veg missing from the box (even though I've paid extra) and very little sauce. I keep going back in hopes that this is a one off but unfortunately have seen no improvement so will not be ordering again. When there has been veg it's soft and mushy almost like it's been over boiled in a pan. It's a real shame because it used to be my favourite place to eat and was worth paying the expense even after they put their prices up.

Nice noodle mealsl at Work&Go. At the screens, small with card readers beside them, you can mix your ideal noodle meal, omitting the veg or meat that you don't like. Complete your meal order, pay via the card reader, following the instructions carefully, pay & make sure to add your name. Sit and wait for your boxed noodles "Yum"

Would not recommend this place, "team leader" very rude no customer service skills at all nor does he have any knowledge. Would highly recommend some serious training. Food has gone down too, very poor standard. It is not the place it used to be!!!

Very bad experience I went in and they have a new self order system in which you can not chooses a no sauce option. I wanted to ask the staff if there was a way I could order my food without sauce, The guy behind the counter was uninterested and on his phone. I asked politely if I could somehow change the sauce options and he gave me an answer of “you have to have sauce”. I will not be returning.

This place has been god awful last three times, and staff do not care about anything. Asked if a spicy sauce can be changed to mild one and all previous times this has not been an issue, however last three times they just don’t do anything. Come home and they’ve not changed anything and we’re stuck eating spicy noodles, bad customer service. BUT more significantly the noddles and boxes have gone down massively in taste and quality, black bean used to be made with actual bean sauce, now you get plain noddles and some dry beans - voilà. So so disappointing as this was a top place before for their noodles, now it’s higher in prices, worse in quality and cold uncaring staff. Sort it out.

The noodles themselves were really good and tasty. We created our own and tried the crispy chicken and duck. Portions are really big so it is good value. I didn’t rate the mini platter but overall was a good pick.

Terrible! Ordered create your own box which it says comes with Asian vegetables, it didn't. chose katsu curry flavour they supplied thai green curry. paid for coriander on top there wasn't any. Also paid £1.80 for a can of coke and they didn't send it with delivery. will never order again!

Opened 45 mins late, got yelled at from the counter that it takes as long as it takes to open up! Very rude staff, time to change it up for sure, no ingredients for a hot box, couldnt pay cash! Just awful what a shame

Would have given a Zero star but not possible. I ordered food today and politley queried how long the wait would be. (Another few customers inside commented the had being waiting 40 minutes, and due to parking i could not allow that much time). I couldnt beleive how rude the staff were, not only to me but calling the other waiting customers. I honestly cannot beleive a business would have these rude teenagers in charge.. One cooking (very slowly) and two basically not understanding how to do anything required to serve or assist. I used to love this place but time after time its being a negative experience , today was the last time i will ever visit.

Went 7th december afternoon. Had a custom large pad thai mix meat. Decent portion, but Was over 10£ and absolutely tasteless. Im one to seek out higher priced foods for quality and very rarely do i leave a bad review but i had to. Almost feel ripped off unforutnately

When they make the food as advertised it's really fantastic! However, more often than not, when I order my usual box, which the menu states is made with yaki soba noodles (delicious) what I'm actually given is bland unappetising vermicelli noodles (disgusting) with no pre-warning about this substitution given when ordering and paying! They also often run out of other ingredients and the opening times are confusing - not as stated when you look it up online. If, heaven forbid, you walk in their unlocked/open door at the wrong time, you just get shouted at to "get out, we aren't open!" by the incredibly rude staff. The place has gotten worse over the years so I probably won't bother going back, despite it being my grandchildren's favourite place to eat (on the rare occasions that the food is made properly)

Very friendly staff . I ordered the black bean noodles without chicken but they came with chicken , as soon as we told them the staff changed out the noodles in less than 3 minutes and gave us a large instead of a regular due to the inconvenience :)

Good food, good service, pricing is on the expensive side however for a quick meal it is filling! Definitely worth a try if you've never had it before and worth getting yourself back there if you haven't in a while!

I was a regular. But over the last month no carrots 🥕 Broccoli 🥦 veg in general which is crazy when tesco is just down the stairs and the lack of meat in them now makes it not worth getting anymore.

The food had no flavour whatsoever. The sweet and sour noodles were bland. The manager said "our sweet and sour is not like other takeaways sweet and sour" I can't understand this! Worst service I have ever encountered.

Been a few times and this branch is literally never open I went a few weeks ago at 2pm and I just got yelled at from the door “we’re closed for cleaning” went again yesterday at 1.30 was 3 staff at the door chatting and again got yelled at “we’re closed” love the food when it’s open but staff need some training in customer service and manners

You get lots of food for you money, I ordered the medium size box and struggled to finish it. It is freshly cooked and piping hot.
