Shocking service from Joe and a terrible ordering system left us with the wrong drink and lock of options!! Avoid at all cost is my advice

Just ordered regular egg noodles with prawns ( teriyaki suace)and paid for extra prawns and also paid for panko prawns and a bottle of water which came to over 16 pounds. I counted 8 prawns in noodle box and 4 panko prawns. Everyting tasteless. I will never go back unfortunately but watch out folks

First visit to Hull and looking for somewhere to eat we passed Wok & Go which was busy which is always a good sign and browsed the menu outside. The floors and countertops were clean and so we decided to order using the big ipad type screens where you can pay contactless. We got a duck and Hoisin Large meal and a hot and spicy regular with drinks all for under £15!! We sat inside at one of the countertops overlooking the shopping mall and the food took about 10 minutes to arrive which was absolutely fine, gave us chance to rest after shopping and sanitise/freshen up. The food came piping hot, the noodles were well cooked, soft with lots of flavour, good distribution of meat and veg exactly as described on the menu. They provide forks if you dont want to use the chopsticks. We were wholly satisfied with our food, no dodgy MSG or oily after effects. The food is cooked fresh to order which is worth the short wait and I liked that you can see the chefs preparing the meals, they were regularly cleaning down the cooking area utensils and woks. Brilliant meal and amazing price.

Got katsu curry egg noodle it tastes like a bin bag that smell of a bin bag before putting it in the bin picture eating that it’s identical! Wouldn’t recommend

Working hard all day In the heat took a trip to collect a fan and thought I would cheer myself up with a wok n go, looking forward to getting home and putting my feet up with some cool air n a saucy noodle box. To my absolute disgust I was presented with boiled rice topped with tofu! Absolute shambles! Waited ages which I didn’t mind at first, waste of time and money this is the second time I have been disappointed. Don’t bother going

Ordered a large black bean box and after a few mouthfuls I had been sick in toilet! It was tasteless and I was very disappointed with the price!

Called in for lunch- there are tables in addition to take away service. They were very busy but service was dreadfully slow. Food was very average, lacking in flavour. Expensive for what you get.

Katsu curry in a box... £8.50 and I feel robbed. Frozen chicken nuggets and the worker who handled my food had just been cleaning the tables and didn't wash his hands after. Took one look and in the bin it went

The noodles themselves were really good and tasty. We created our own and tried the crispy chicken and duck. Portions are really big so it is good value. I didn’t rate the mini platter but overall was a good pick.

Opened 45 mins late, got yelled at from the counter that it takes as long as it takes to open up! Very rude staff, time to change it up for sure, no ingredients for a hot box, couldnt pay cash! Just awful what a shame

When they make the food as advertised it's really fantastic! However, more often than not, when I order my usual box, which the menu states is made with yaki soba noodles (delicious) what I'm actually given is bland unappetising vermicelli noodles (disgusting) with no pre-warning about this substitution given when ordering and paying! They also often run out of other ingredients and the opening times are confusing - not as stated when you look it up online. If, heaven forbid, you walk in their unlocked/open door at the wrong time, you just get shouted at to "get out, we aren't open!" by the incredibly rude staff. The place has gotten worse over the years so I probably won't bother going back, despite it being my grandchildren's favourite place to eat (on the rare occasions that the food is made properly)

Been a few times and this branch is literally never open I went a few weeks ago at 2pm and I just got yelled at from the door “we’re closed for cleaning” went again yesterday at 1.30 was 3 staff at the door chatting and again got yelled at “we’re closed” love the food when it’s open but staff need some training in customer service and manners

You get lots of food for you money, I ordered the medium size box and struggled to finish it. It is freshly cooked and piping hot.

Tried Wok & Go for the first time a few weeks ago and have had it several times since. Everything I have tried has been lovely - my new fav Pad Thai Box and crispy vegetable dumplings. Its a much better healthier option than having the other fast food places. The service has always been quick and professional, once you order you wait outside while they do your food. I have been served by Cerys so many times I had to ask her name as no doubt this with be my regular choice when I'm in town shopping. We always get it to go and live 20 mins from town and its still always hot in the cardboard containers. I don't normally do reviews but I feel I need to share this little gem of a restaurant x

We ordered a satay box and a create your own, added extra bits to it and this is what we got. The noodles were dry, the beef was inedible and there was no vegetables in. Paying 20 pounds for something that went straight in the bin just isn’t good enough. If I was you I wouldn’t bother wasting your time

iv been coming to this store for years now and there is a reason for that, Always friendly staff some have been there for years and still have a smile on there face, food is perfect price is good for the portion as the boxes are rammed full. Its just a shame some people on here give poor reviews when iv seen the staff here go out if there way to help people.

What is this world coming to when you cannot buy food with money, I was refused an order in the shop today unless I paid by card, I don't have a debit card so have no choice but to pay cash, totally shameful they turned me away because I only had cash, I won't be recommending this place to anyone, as your freedom of choice is taken away.

I order from here quite frequently using a delivery service. They always seem to get something in my order wrong which can be frustrating. There’s not anything I can do about it and it’s usually still tasty but it’s something to think about. On the occasions the order has been right it’s been 5* food.

Love this place , I get the Vegan hot box in a small, really spicy and excellent value for money. Good service staff always nice and polite. If you want hot food with great taste give this place a go👍

Loved it. Great price, great service, great taste, great mix of meat veggies and noodles. Love the udon especially. Food was piping hot too. Wish there was a wok&go near me!

Really enjoyed my noodles with meat and prawns , so tasty but was a bit shocked with the prices. Loved it but won’t be rushing back at those prices.

Desperate for lunch we called in here as it was the only food place without a queue. Since it was almost empty we expected to be disappointed but were surprised and delighted by the standards of service and the food quality.we shall go straight there in future.

I know it’s in a shopping centre, but for what you get it is ridiculously costly, food was ok but would I go again? Probably not.

We love Wagamama and as there isn't one in Hull, we tried Wok&Go. We've been there twice in the past year when visiting Hull. Wok&Go appear to be quite a small concern and from their website they seem to be really good, but we've not found that in Hull. Maybe it's a franchise and you get some good ones and some not so good, like Subway?The food is freshly-cooked and quite tasty but for what it is, quite expensive. You don't get the extra sprinkles on top like you get in Wagamama either. It's a take-away (you could sit at the tables in and outside the shop but that's just for convenience - there's no restaurant atmosphere!) so I'd expect the prices to be half of what you'd pay in a restaurant. It's more like 80% the cost at Wagamama, which is not good value. But as there's no Wagamama in Hull, here we are. The shop itself looks run-down and a bit tatty.We ordered a sweet chilli with prawns (make your own box) and a standard sweet chilli box. Both orders were predominantly noodles and not much else; the prawn pot had five small shrimps in it (which works out at 50p each!) with noodles and sweet chilli sauce, and the standard sweet chilli box was definitely not sweet chilli! It was a brown sauce which tasted more like soy.As we had walked back to our hotel before opening the boxes we weren't inclined to walk all the way back to the shop, and the standard box was OK apart from not being what we ordered.So, the food's comparatively expensive but reasonably tasty, and if that's the only noodle joint in town then that's what you have to pay. I'd recommend checking your order before leaving though.

Als je binnen komt is het eerste wat er opvalt dat het enorm warm is. Het meisje wat onze order opnam aan de kassa praten zo zacht dat ik meerdere malen moest vragen wat ze zei. Het eten was niet echt lekker de zoet zure saus was meer zuur dan wat anders. De kip was op 1 hand te tellen. Al bij al een teleurstelling.

I ordered one of the Vegan Box options and there was meat in it!!! But the pork in it that I accidentally ate tasted burnt, so even the meat was rubbish.

Whilst in St Stephens we decided to have wok & go.We advised that we would be eating in & placed our order. It was not very busy at all but seemed to take ages for our order to be ready.Really enjoy the noodles so can forgive the slow service a bit.

I have been to many of these noodles in box places and this is excellent! Hot box and seafood box enjoyed by me and my dad eating in.

Because we were hungry, and subway had issues, we decided to do something totally else. Two boxes of wok to go Pad Thai for me, and colleague made his own selection of noodles Enjoyed the eating, and was still enjoying it the whole afternoon

My family and I often visit this establishment as my sister is what you would call a fussy eater and asian food is a style of food she loves. When we arrive, my dad and I always order the Mee Gee Seafood Box, and my sister goes for the sweet and sour chicken. Although, the shop is small and often busy, there is always a place to sit down either in the restaurant or in the seating outside the restaurant itself. There is often little wait between order and being served which is always a plus. However, even if there is a slight delay, i am always entertained by the chefs cooking in the open display kitchen. The food is filling and is always above satisfactory. This is my favourite place to eat in St Stephens and I highly recommend you give this pan asian joint a go.

Wok&Go; is my go to place for a quick lunch, the food is top quality and the customer service I received today was exceptional! The girl who served me was very helpful, ensuring my food was perfect. I think her name was Nicole, she deserves a raise!

Would be great if it opened when the sign says. Oh and the staff are also rude!!!!!!!! Beyond rude! Dont expect service with a smile...a hello....or any form of help 🤣 avoid!!!!!!!

It’s been a long time since we visited here. But we wanted a take away, so decided to give it a try. A very helpful young girl ( dark hair and glasses) helped me order something similar to what we used to get, before the menu changed.

nice food, bit expensive but worth it majoirtyof the time. mananger can come across as bit blunt/rude at times but im sure unintended. staff very plesant.

I used to eat every week there. Today i was very dissapointed. Order a large combi box, and got just the noddles, 2 small prawns and small piece of breast chicken. For 8£ my box was full of noddles and no enough meat like they did always.

Went to work and go with my kids and got them mixed box kids meal. These took long to arrive and when they did were badly cooked as the vegetables were burnt and bitter to taste. Customer service was terrible, they were more interested in their inventory than to rectify a badly cooked meal. Kids couldn’t eat so had to throw away in the end.

I've gone to this Wok&Go; for many years and always had pleasant service by the short young man whose been there many years.

Friendly staff, food is cooked fresh, is hot and most importantly tastes great. They have a great vegetarian menu, this is what drew me in! I wasn’t disappointed and will be back!!

Popped in to grab some food so I could watch the football on my iPad whilst staying nearby.

Its a good concept, but portions and meat content were a little underwhelming for the price.I would go again, but try a different dish to the fried rice with chicken. Pretty greasy, so a plain boiled rice would be be welcome on the menu. Staff were nice and friendly, but looked a bit bored and underused.New venture?

I had the sweet and sour pork noodles and I have to say, it was so horrible I had to throw it away. The meat was really pink and didn’t taste right, and the “sweet and sour” sauce didn’t taste like anything I’ve tasted before.

Used to go in here all the time but the last time I went in they had stopped doing the small boxes. As I could barely eat all the noodles in the smallest box, the last thing I wanted was to get a bigger size and waste half of it!

First time at a Wok&Go; and we were pleasantly surprised. The food was very nice and fantastic value on two for one. However, I don't think I'd be happy to pay the full price for 'fast food'.

Fast and fresh, very tasty. Ordered for 3, tight for time, so didn't study the menu, thought it was a bit priceyer than before. Portions are huge and deceptive in the little boxes. Thought the guy on till could have told us about meal deals, offers etc.

Noodles soft to the touch, melt in the mouth and ultimately make you fall in love with Asian cuisine. Were do I begin? Succulent chicken pieces smothered in a hot sauce surrounded by soft egg noodles and pieces of veg, to die for. As the first mouthful slides down the gullet you realise you are indulging in what can only be described as heaven encapsulated by Asian cuisine. Rich tender flavours running through my veins and into my soul.

Me and my girlfriend often come here, as the food has always been excellent, however, something had changed when we went last, unable to swap a sauce like I had previously done, because of changes in the last week to the menu, what a load of rubbish, then our food was wrong and they were adamant it was right, my girlfriend created her own box which had the wrong sauce on it, then when the replacement came, it had the smallest piece of broccoli which she paid an extra 80p for!! REALLY NOT IMPRESSED!!!

my friends all wanted to go to the Nandos next door but I live above one of the worst ranked Nandos in the UK and I know what has happened in terms of health and hygiene, so I opted of a bento box filled with fried vegetables, peppers and broccoli and udon noodles with a Nasi Goreng sauce. it was fresh, friendly and fast. and tasty. i would have spend at least twice as much in Nandos and been half as happy I know

You can eat in or take away, the food is lovely and the service is great. I would recommend going there

It used to be quite good value for money when it opened first. But then they started changing price and quality. It's was nice but seemed a bit expensive then before. I like their noodles so I guess I will still go and try more and more

Weve been several times,what more can I say, the POTS look small, but they take a lot more eating ,,, LOL basically ,,, good for FAST foodENJOY!

Although the food was nice as usual, it was a disappointing surprise to find out that Wok & Go's free refills have walked & gone! Unfortunately this begins to make it a more expensive visit for families.

We have been past a few times and not had a chance to pop in, today we did. We ordered seafood noodles and rice with chicken with sweet and sour sauce. Also had two sides of spring rolls and dumplings. About £10 each with drinks included ( good price ). Sadly the rice and chicken only had 3 bits of chicken in and the sea food noodles was 99% noodles. We couldn't eat the dumplings as they were rock hard, to be fair I should have said something at the time. Such a shame as I normally love this kind of street food. Would love to change this review to a good standard. With the other choice available in St Stephens we probably would not revisit.

Came in to order some food, after making my order the guy put me off what I wanted. Saying it was really hot. I understand they can advise but it was the way he suggested I couldn't handle it. Don't sell it then! Then I ordered a wrap, to which I was told they didn't have any wraps. In the end only my boyfriend ordered, he is a hull fc season pass holder and on the club hull website it states that you get. A percentage off your bill. He then said we don't do it anymore. Even though it states it on the club hull website. If I'd have been you, and the amount of custom you get. Knocking a quid off wouldn't have hurt to satisfy the customer and ensure they return! I shall not return here again. The guy I was served but had no customer service skills and certainly needs retraining!

Took the family for a late flying lunch after a trip to the trampoline park !, good boxes, average cuisine but enjoyable like most chains ! Tasty and cosy under £20 for a family of 4, could have done with a bit of a clean as tables and chairs a bit grotty other than that pretty dam good

We were really disappointed with the food we ordered. The portion sizes were good and the food was tasty, but both dishes were basically noodles in a sauce. My combo box had only 2 tiny pieces of brocolli and a small amount of meat/prawns. My husbands pad thai again was all noodles and chicken with a small amount of grated carrot. There was a complete lack of vegetables or colour in both dishes. We wouldn't buy food from there again.

Cheap, easy, quick and great quality. Offers on different days and 2for1 with my taste card. What's not to like?

This was our third visit and as usual the food was delicious. The only negative is that the girl that served us looked like she would rather be elsewhere but apart from that we cannot fault it.

Ordered two veggie classics; one with soy and the other with chili. Neither of the two contained any tofu (the main reason we chose this 'classic') and both had overcooked egg noodles almost to the point of being mushy. Both were bland and definitely not worth the £10 we were charged.

I got beef in OK sauce with noodles which was tasty but after a while became slightly bland...and I don't think I even got a big portion. I think if I went again I would take someone with me and swap halfway through! Nothing wrong with the favours though, and Vimto was a nice option to have!

hungry at work, it's got to be Wok & Go, hungry at home and we order it in. Wok & Go never seems to get old we just keep on coming back. I guess they put something in their hot sauce. Yesterday after a long flight and long train journey home there was only one real option at the end and that was Wok&Go hot box x2. The crazy thing is they never seem to serve the same order the same way twice and frequently mix up orders often getting something entirely different from what I asked for yet here I am giving the place 4 stars.

Visited this place once and never again. Ordered Pad Thai, which is one of the most popular noodle dish from Thailand and received box with RICE and some pieces of vegetables and chicken! I have been told that i can't return this meal because i said that i want it with rice. I said that it's not true but she said I did, and there wasn't any chance for conversation with this person.

Noodles or rice dishes are served in nifty little cardboard containers, and you can choose from two sizes.Just your normal chinese style fast food.Not great,not bad,not particularly cheap for what it is.

Went in for some noodles for me and my children to be greeted with a smile by two young lovely girls. Both ensured that everything i asked for was at the best price and got one kids box free! loved the refillable drinks and music was awesome! coming back again tomorrow with the hubby!

Friendly service and fast too, nicely presented piping hot tasty food, every time we visit st Stephens we find ourselves drawn back its so good

I picked up a box deal here for lunch. There are several different option for the boxes but I chose the Combo Box which is a mixture of different meats and noodles in traditional oyster sauce. They are excellent value for money and literally the boxes are stuffed to the brim, I usually leave some for later as I am so full. The staff in the St Stephens branch are always polite and friendly and you can get a box meal with a drink on a very good value lunch offer. The restaurant itself is very small and they do have a small seating section outside also but space is limited. Its nice to take the food away and find other seating within St Stephens or if possible and its a nice day outside to enjoy your food. I always pick one of these up for lunch when I visit Hull and they are always delicious with good quality meat and noodles.

Had the large sweet and sour and left a bit due to being full. Will visit again.Good food great staff

As a frequent visitor to this establishment i have seen and heard mixed reviews however we are always met with a smile and even served frequently by the manager himself! Staff on the whole are usually overworked but never rush when the kids are undecided infact usually go out their way for us its clean and well priced as a customer i would say however its not always pleasant to see a chef attacking staff members verbally that would be my only criticism

Enjoyed my noodles, beef in oyster sauce. Unlimited refills on drinks was most welcome as with most Chinese/Japanese food, it was quite salty! Nice to have the option of Vimto as this isn't commonplace. Good people-watching out into St Stephens, if anything it could've been slightly cheaper.

After the initial confusion about self service drinks and the notification disk thing everything turned ok, for was all right service was all right nothing special but .....allright, hot fresh tasty

Bloke on the till was friendly and helpful, chefs were abrupt and not very friendly.Food was not pleasant, stodgy, fattening and deep fried in loads of oil.... Bit of a theme I'm afraid... I thought noodles with veg and tofu would be healthy and fresh but it was not nice at all and I left most of it as I feel sick.

You have to question why some people work in customer service. No customer service skills or brain cells. Ordered a large hot box & combo box online as I have been doing so for several months, attempted to collect my order and use the taste card. Was then told that you can't use the taste card online notwithstanding that I have done so for several months the last time being only last week. The young man serving or not serving as was the case was adamant that you are unable to do so. I informed him that I would leave my order and walked out. Seriously wok & go you need to recruit new staff. Waste of food and time and I will not be going again so loss of custom too.

Me and family often eat wok & go and the food is always amazing .However this time the manager (Kyle ) who was on a powder trip seems to do everything to spoil our Experiance , luckily Nicole was there just to smooth things over Nicole your awesome and Kyle you really need to come off your high horse However must say food was awesome as always

Waiting for our film to start we were peckish and gave this establishment a try for the first time as we wanted something fast and filling.We ordered egg noodles with prawn and mushroom with sweet chilli sauce. The food was freshly cooked tasty and plentiful,the service was prompt and friendly and it was certainly filling! Good value and better than Burger King I would highly recommend this establishment x

Been going here quite regularly. I really like the noodles and so does my wife. The price seems to have gone up allot, I hope the chefs wages are going up too. But money don't matter as long as food is good, which I am sorry to say is not any more. Tasteless, no salt!! At this point I went and ask for salt on the counter. Got a reply that some one had stolen the salt pot. And I was said no. Wait. What? It that your reply. Are you not suppose to sort that salt pot out? Never getting food from here again. Bad food and obviously ignorant and bad service too. Wasted my money.

I have noticed Wok & Go's around in various cities and have fancied trying them. My husband and I decided we would give it a go whilst in Hull with our kids this weekend. I was very disappointed. We went for the build your own boxes. 80p to add some broccoli to my rice and chicken, for this I got 3 tiny bits, as my husband had paid the same for mushrooms and got loads I asked the server if it was right. He looked at me blankly and apparently yes it is quite normal, I had a little moan at this but he said he couldn't do anything about it and just pulled a face. Considering this was the supervisor on the day I was quite shocked by his reply. He accused me of eating the broccoli and then complaining, (really?!!?) I'm not one to complain usually and if people check my other reviews will see that I am generally quite complimentary about food places. Considering I had paid £6.25 for my meal I expected a lot more than what I received! And then to be just shrugged off I feel was pretty bad service. This has unfortunately put me off going to any other wok&go restaurants. Maybe if I had tried another dish I would have got something better. I think the supervisor may need a little extra training in how to deal with customer complaints!

Was in town shopping and walked past Wok&Go, plenty of people in and thought it be worth a try. I had the Hot box and my Wife had the Sweet Box. On ordering we was told they had run out of Beef, but would put extra pork in, we was both OK with this. Their was a 20 minutes wait, which we was also OK about. The food came and I was very happy with it, the taste was very good as was the portion size (medium). The only criticism is that their was not a lot of meat...very little chicken and seeing as there was supposed to be extra Pork, they didn't seem to be a lot. But I will go again, and give them another chance.

The service was rather poor when we went in. There were just 2 cooks and 1 girl on the counter taking walk-in orders, phone orders and online orders. We didn't have to wait overly long for our food but we had to wait a long time to be served. They have seating and tables for whilst you wait and when you want to eat in. The food was delicious and because we are students we got a 10% discount.

Called in to Wok & Go (17/3/2016) for a bite to eat. We have been twice before without problems, today was different, I asked twice for a gluten free meal and my partner questioned if it was gluten free three times. Two hours later I am spending the next 4.5 hours head down the toilet.I believe some training in allergies and intolerances is now in order for this establishment. I will not be returning.

Great service great food one of my favourites to nip in for lunch can't think of anywhere else I'd choose to eat in Hull. Friendly manager always goes the extra mile. Can't fault the place. Fabulous to say the least

Absolutely gorgeous noodles. In particular the spicy box! Freshly cooked and so tasty. They are expensive but you do get a large quantity. We usually get a large box and take what we dont eat home for supper. Yummy!

We come here a a couple of times a month and always have a lovely meal. The noodles are excellent. Make your own up of choose a box from the menu, either way very tasty. The staff here are also very polite and helpful. Recommended without doubt if you like noodles

Have been going to Wok and Go for a while now. Very first visit, we ordered the Singabox (rice noodles, seafood and chicken or pork)The boxes were packed although they are very expensive. £7:20 for the large. £6:20 medium and £5:20 smallest. There were loads of chicken and prawns. Alas that was the only time there was. On subsequent visits, there is mostly noodles and a few veg. Today between 2 larges, me and daughter counted 5 prawns and 7 small pieces of chicken. Not good enough for that price. Wont be going again.

We found a member of staff who was rude and suffered bad attitude, having arrived five minutes before opening ( yes it said open on the door). We were given grief by this member of staff, we could see there was no one to take our order so we sat down and waited. How nice he became when my partner muttered about his attitude, so he could hear her

By far the best noodles iv ever had. The flavour was brilliant. 1st time tasted it was around 5 years ago my girlfriend recomended it to me. I have tastes almost every chinese place in manchester and cannot find one place that tastes as half as good. Everytime i visit hull wok n go is a must

Received a worK&go delivery menu through my door, rang with an order only to be told they don't deliver to my address even though it is only around 2 miles away. Think this is very poor service.

Visited here. I used a taste card on buy one get one free. It was advertised all over the shop if you buy an adult box you get a kids box free. I enquires about this, only to be told I could not get the offer as I had used a taste card. So I said no problem can I buy one separately? Only to be told, sorry no. You can't buy them on their own!!. I was with my daughter who was also buying a box so I said it's OK. She can get a kids box as she isn't using a taste card. Daughter orders a meal deal and is then told because it is a meal, she cannot have a kids box either!! I've never heard of anything so stupid! Food was OK, but won't be returning unless they can sort out offering something children can eat too, that you can actually purchase!!!!

Ordered a set meal deal through the just eat website. The meal deal was supposed to be 2 boxes of noodles, 2 prawn starters, 2 drinks and a box of crackers. I also ordered a side box of rice and hot'n'sour soup. Delivery - fast. Order - soup, crackers and drinks missing, yes 3 items. I rang the shop and the manager who sounded polite apologised to me for the mix-up and had me it all sent out with a complimentary noodle box. The soup was vile, I cannot describe it's taste but it was inedible as if it wasn't soup and was gloopy. It was the most unpleasant soup I have ever put a spoon to. I say that with a heavy heart as I enjoy food and don't think I have ever slated food on this site in the reviews I have done. The complimentary noodle box was overloaded and overpowering with chilli and also quite inedible - it is almost as if it had been done on purpose because I rang to question my order, and rather than a good apologetic meal I was delivered something you wouldn't feed to your worst enemy. The rest of the meal (pre order mistake) was fine. Sorry but I will never order from, or visit this shop again. And the 2 out of 5 is being generous.

Quick, delicious food, that is made fresh and is always of high quality. Definitely my go to restaurant when out in Hull!
