It's been good for years, not loaded with sugar unlike many Bangladeshi Indian restaurants and takeaways. Always consistent and we have used it for over 10 years.

Went on Tues night when offer was on, got charged more. First course came but main meal was a very long time coming out just like the last time we was there. Young family in with very young children who was very loud and children screaming which spoilt it for us as we couldn't hear ourselves talk. Might get a takeaway next time.

Great food n service by friendly staff, we eat during a quiet period therefore no much atmosphere.

Excellent food good service definitely recommend a visit

Arrived and waited around 15 minutes to be asked what drinks we would like for cans of Coke to be poured into a pint glass. A further 15/20 minutes until the poppadoms arrived. Starters then took what felt forever. Then let’s not get started on the mains. It’s got to the point where we asked to have them to takeaway. Still a further wait. We’d been here around two hours and there was only another 4 people in with at least 8 members of staff in the kitchen. It appears takeaways take priority over anything else. Shame really, the food isn’t really much to write home about neither.

Had a meal here over a year ago waited an hour inbetween courses, it wasn't busy. Tried takeout on NYE told an hour wait, on collect it was utter carnage waited another hour, so 2 hours in total. Sadly we tried again on Sunday told 40 mins for collection, went to collect not even started our order had to wait another 30mins. On returning home had some of our order missing. Sorry 3 strikes and your out. Will not be returning such a shame as the staff are lovely and so is the food !!!

The worst experience. Usually here is great however the service today was shocking. We was celebrating an anniversary, only 4 of us. We got there at 5:30 - opening time no one else in the restraunt. We ordered straight away, 1 hour and 15 later still no food at our table yet people coming and collecting their food and deliveries were flying out. We then got the food after 30 minutes later on top of that, the pilau rice was so stodgy and wet and mushy, the tikka masala was extremely peppery, and we was meant to be having 3 course meals, after 2 and a half hours been there , we had to leave and wasn’t waiting any longer , he didn’t even offer to take a bit of discount off for us all not having our third course, waiting 2 hours , and for the lack of apology for how late the food was £62 later … staff have become really arrogant, food wait time is horrendous , and the quality of the food is awful, chicken so chewy too, once a returning customer will never be returning again, we all came out feeling sick. And the place itself is not clean!

Absolutely shocking from start to finish tonight. 4 of us went for a anniversary meal, we got there for 5:30 when there was no one else in the restaurant , and ordered straight away , 6:40 and the food still hadn’t come to our table. We asked how much longer they said ‘it’s ready’ then proceeded to give food to a large table next to us who had only recently walked in, we finally after another 30 minutes, the pilau rice was stodgy, mushy and bland, the tikka masala was peppery, the chicken was chewy and tough, and the service was just awful. We paid for the 3 course meal each, but didn’t end up having the dessert due to the wait time, the owner then didn’t apologise once for the service or wait time or quality of food. And we asked if he would take off a little discount due to us not getting the dessert, and how long we had been waiting, he refused; the food was just awful, the place is so unclean , and we have all come out feeling not very great; with £62 wasted for food we didn’t eat . Never ever again.

Ordered a delivery at 5.45 and told it was going to be about an hour which is fine, 1 hr 45 later it was still not here but told it was on its way......maybe from India as it still didn't arrive, i called again and was told it was definitely on its way!!! It did arrive minus my popadoms!!! This is twice we've used this place and have been disappointed with the cold food and missing items, never again!

Ordered food at 6.30. Called them back at 8.15 as not received to be told we are really busy so another 35 mins. No thank you. You’re loosing customers and you don’t care. Very dangerous.

Waiting 3 hours for a delivery…absolute joke

Good value for money. However service was poor, we waited over an hour from finishing our starters until our mains arrived. And upon ordering dessert, the waiter laughed. When it arrived, it was a super thin slice of cheap chocolate gateaux, that was frozen. Yeah..

Very good service and excellent food

Went for a 55th birthday meal, food decidedly average and main took over hour to bring out as they prioritised a take out order, won't go again

We was told to collect in half hour. When we got there we waited another 40 mins. When we finally got the food the popperdoms was rank and tasted out of date. The beef in the curry was not like any other beef I've tasted awfull. 2 Currys a naan bit of rise over 20 quid not worh it tbh. Definitely not worth waiting that long for

I understand it was nye however it took almost 1 hour just to get 2 cokes brought to the table, they were not only flat but warm. When I told them they just said we won’t charge, not let me get you another, my partner ordered a starter and it took 1 hour and 15 minutes after we had ordered, food took 2 1/2 hours to come! Every table was asking where the food was! And the restaurant wasn’t the cleanest, there was customers sliding all over the floors.

Went in at 6.15 and finally got our mains at 7.30. Poppadoms came out as expected with a very bland pickle tray, but ok, fair enough, a Poppadom is a Poppadom, can't get that wrong. They had a large take away order come in while we were have thiose, so the kitchen prioritised that and our mains came at 7.30, with no apology at all. We were about too leave but it arrived , so stayed, wish we hadn't bothered. The chilli chicken special my husband ordered was a gooey mince curry with a chicken drumstick and thigh in it. Not really that special. All in all an okey meal but terrible service,

Ordered takeaway at 5 past 5 cancelled it quarter to 8 told 1 hour delivery. Rang after hour and half was told would be with me shortly. Steer clear of this place delivery disgusting

Terrible service ordered at 6.30 and arrived after numerous calls at 8.50 after being told 1 hour delivery even then the order was cold a curry was missing and a naan bread they said it was not on the order after 3 more calls they offered to deliver but we needed to pay for the curry . Customer service shocking would not recommend at all!!!!! Steer clear of this place

I have just had the most amazing Indian meal ever fish bhuna was to die for I teamed that with a plain Nan and could have cleaned the plate entirely which to be honest I think I did x the service was first class the restaurant has been upgraded and really pleasant environment couldn’t ask for more. Visiting friends in Hull and went to Chilli, food was amazing, owner is a lovely man. I had chicken tikka masalla with a peshawari nan and vegetable rice, the flavours were fantastic. Thank you.

Waited almost 2 hours, cold food when it did arrive and food had no flavour

We ordered a delivery from them tonight, thoroughly terrible service. One and a half hours latter chased up the order to be told that they don’t deliver to our area, even though they have delivered to our neighbours. To be told as well that they were going to ring us back and tell us, but they “got busy and forgot” Order a delivery at you own risk!!!

Chilli restaurant is the finest Indian/Bangladeshi food in the town the garlic naan breads alone deserve an award fact. I've eaten there for many years and also tried lots of other Indian food places in Hull and out of town, yet none in my opinion match up to chilli restaurant.

Ordered st 5.20 rang to see where order was at 6.30 typical reply order on its way rang again at 7.20 he has left to bring order no appoliges for running late so cancelled order customer service needs to be worked on expecially at times like these

Ordered the lamb shaslik and it was so tender. Served with onions and peppers filled with flavour. Service was brilliant as always and I will be sure to go again soon.

Absolutely appalling service! this is the last time we will ever order from chilii! 2 hours later and still no food, totally unacceptable!! Over the years we have always used chilli either as dine in or take out, but enough is enough, your service is disgusting !!!

The food was delicious and really good service from friendly staff. They have a good selection of dishes and some meal deal offers on Monday and Tuesday for only £9.95, great value. Not a vast selection of beers but you are able to take your own.

Nice but still does not come anywhere near a Bradford curry

Highly recommend take away food we have used many Indian restaurants in hull...and none of them match up to chilli restaurant and we won’t be using any other then chilli going forward, food is not watery like others we have tried! Highly recommend Christine and Andy

Went as a group for birthday celebration, small little restaurant that creates a good atmosphere, food tasted great, Beef rogan josh went down a treat. service was a little slow but I put that down to the size of our group. Recommend taking your own drinks, the restaurant allows this, they don't have a great selection. All round a nice meal out.

Quite possibly one of the best Indian Takeaways offered. They provide very tasty food, havent had anything better since. However the building seriously needs a refurb. Doesnt exactly feel welcoming if you decide to eat in!

Very disappointing having lunch at chilli’s airport restaurant. My wife’s salad was a bowl of lettuce, my burger was slapped together, fries were old and cold. Definitely a place to acoid

Just as good as ever it was brilliant..quick delivery and great food. We had the mixed balti..king prawn masal and sides such as tarka daal etc very tasty.

Tried a takeaway, starters were not bad at all. Main courses had very little taste, hardly any meat for a meat dish and all of them were drowning in grease, didn’t sit well at all. The breads were bland, very heavy and looked like rubber. Will certainly not be going back.

Little gem of a restaurant, food excellent, decor dated but not bothered as the food is so good.

Have used this restaurant for over 20 years and have dined in many times but mostly have delivery. We have often waited over an hour but tonight was something else 2 hours to then have to reheat the food. If I had wanted a microwave curry I would have popped to asda. Sorry to say will not be using this place any more.

Used to love it here but went tonight and not like it used to be. No music, so no indian atmosphere like usual. As the waiter pulled the chair out all stains was on them. The coke was out of a big cheap branded bottle served warm, had to ask for ice. The food was ok but not as flavoured as id like. Restraunt was empty but our food was over hour, takeaway guy was coming in and out with food though. Also smelling of cigs nice wiff whilst your eating after he just had one directly outside of window we where sitting. Staff wasn't friendly like the normal ones i go to in hessle. To top it off my bf found a Black hair in his main which he didnt tell me till after we paid, good job as id have been very put off my food. Wouldn't go back now.

I rang thus takeaway today at approximately 7.30 , I have visited this restaurant many times before ,both as a takeaway and a restaurant, the food cannot be faulted and is very nice , unfortunately tonight after about 45 minutes I rang the restaurant to ask how long my order would be , I was told it would be 15 to 20 minutes maximum as it was still been cooked . I rang them back after a further 25 minutes to be told it was still been cooked and would be another 10 minutes , at this point I asked why the order had taken so long , to which they replied it was a busy night , and my business was important to them , I then asked why they had not just been honest with me initially , after the 2nd phone call, I was then quickly told I could cancel my order if I wanted , which I did

The food came quick and the portion sizes were good for a set meal deal. The food tasted good from starter to main couldn't fault.

After calling earlier in the week to reserve a table, we arrived on time only to be greeted with a puzzled face regarding our booking, a shrug and a point to a table with “err, you can sit there”. Great start!

Walked in. Sat down. Within a minute I walked out. Looked like a cafe rather then a Indian restaurant. Until it gets sorted then I'll pop down the road to Eurasian restaurant

Got a take away, was lovely food and was reasonably priced. We have since had another take away delivered, same good quality. Only down side is I don't think I would eat in the restaurant - very canteen like. Definatly worth a try though.

Come here every other Monday or Tuesday as it is £7.95 for 4 courses and never had a bad meal. Highly recommend.

Come here 2 or 3 times a month due to never had a bad meal. One of the most consistant curry houses in Hull. Monday and Tuesday have a 4-course deal for £7.95 which does not subsitute the quality. Highly recommend.
