The best restaurants serving Asian food in South West

Had a burger and some mac and cheese bites tonight. The Florida Man burger is absolutely stunning. There are so many great flavours in every bite. Well done on the New Menu guys! So impressed!

The pork was really dry, the chicken and egg dish looked and tasted terrible.Normally we love the Japanese food but this is the worst in Plymouth. We haven’t eaten it- come and take it back. Would not recommend

Absolutely will go back here, brilliant atmosphere, staff were very friendly Merinda was fantastic, helpful and made me feel very welcome 10th May 2025 as usual fantastic food at the YC global buffet, our waitress was Maya she was fairly new but what a delightful, helpful and friendly waitress. See you again soon

He didnt deliver the food .. telling some bad words and run away

Not great to be honest and expected so much more, as many have recommended. Granted, service is good and we were accommodated on a Friday evening without a booking. The Cobra was cold and slid down a treat as did the wife’s gin. That’s where the fun stops! I know my way around curry, but as it was our first visit for years, I went safe with a Bhuna. I think Mrs Layboy had the Biriani. Mine was tasteless almost as if cooked in a generic curry sauce, while the wife wasn’t impressed either. I walked away gutted I didn’t stick to my guns and go where I wanted and the wife, well she had a bad belly for three days after. With so many options in Old Town we really have no need to give this place a further chance.

Asked for dansak. Got a lemon and cinnamon dish. Not much chicken no pineapple. Not for me

Microwave restaurant. Update: was the best however after the management changed to the father running it and not the daughter, the food has become very bad. I ordered kebab to pickup i think it was more chicken rather than meat and i think it was pre-made frozen kebab. The minced kebab kobideh was yellow.

I’ve ordered from here many times over the years Today I ordered a special fried box, which is my normal ordered. I ordered with prawn, I literally got 6 very small prawns. I’ve had this before and the prawns were jumbo prawns. Today’s lunch was very disappointing, sadly. There had been a “light” price increase,and I got smaller and less prawns? When I order with chicken I get loads of chicken. I decided to treat myself today for 50p more for prawns and got significantly less prawns than previously and literally slithers of veg, and much less veg than when I’ve previously ordered this dish, but lots of rice. Not sure I’ll be ordering from here again, sadly.

Food was poor, customer service even worse! Bbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaadddddddddd! Do not recommend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I never ever leave a review but this was a must! Save your money!!!!!!! Have a piece of toast instead!!!

I don’t think they have any understanding of the food they’re making. The dishes I ordered looked similar in shape and color but tasted awful, with ingredients that didn’t even match the menu. And yet, they take more than a 10% tip? I suggest they either study their own menu (a quick YouTube or internet search would do) or stick to selling only what they can actually make well. Sorry, I can’t recommend this place, and even one star feels generous.

Awful, service was terrible, food way overpriced and tasted more of salt than anything else, definitely the worst chinese food I've ever eaten in years.

Very friendly and welcoming staff, however, they got a vegan curry order quite wrong and brought a chicken curry to the table. The server didn't seem to grasp the vegan order of our group. Nonetheless, this was rectified in a timely manner. One bug bear of mine is staff clearing away empty plates whilst others in the group are still eating, which was frequent here.
