The best restaurants serving Asian food in Reading South East

I had a fantastic birthday dinner at Kamal’s first week of November. Our waiters were very patient with us given we had never had Nepalese food before, and recommended some great dishes. We especially enjoyed the pork momos, chicken chilli, patepuri and chatepate (these spellings may be wrong!). The portion sizes were large and the price was very decent. We will definitely be back.

Lovely casual restaurant with fabulous staff (Gift and her colleagues were very helpful). Managed to navigate my celiacs disease safely. Lots of gluten free options. Also great cocktail list!

I have been here twice now, and the food is consistently tasty and enjoyable. The only issue is that on my last visit, we were sadly seated upstairs, which was tiny and pokey. There are too many tables too close to one another which made my meal and experience non-enjoyable.

A small independent cafe cooking food as and when ordered. Menu is a little exciting, providing English and some Nepalese food. Good prices, catering largely to shoppers visiting the small precinct. Friendly and competent owner and family.

The food here is really worth travelling for! Authentic, fresh and flavourful. The owner is great craic too. Brunch and lunch coming soon I hear!

I've only ever had takeout from this restaurant (due to Covid restrictions on indoor seating) but the quality of their food is terrific. 2024: Editing this review to add that I've had the dine-in experience here now as well, and the service and presentation were both excellent.

I went to Namaste Kitchen for the first time after being in Reading for a long time , it was recommended to me by my friend . I was not disappointed, the bar tender was a lovely person and the food was amazing. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone who likes a cheap pint of beer and Good 🇳🇵 Nepalese food , spicy 🌶️ one . We tried the Momos which was good and Noodles 🍜. I would always recommend this place as I am a taxi driver and I meet lot of customers who like to visit nice places . Do visit this place I highly recommend. We had a dine in dinner, and the food was fantastic. Very nice staff too and a nice atmosphere.

The food they serve has so much comfort and homely. Out Must have includes Steam monos, puri tarkari, and macha bhaja. If you are looking for authentic nepali cuisine food, then you just found one. Loved the food, atmosphere and courteous staff. Once again, nothing beats good food.

Been here a few times; cheap and tasty food, quick service, and kind staff. Highly recommended!
