Good food, the best part of their food is the use of genuine spices without colors. I really like the food.

Had a lovely authentic Indian meal whilst visiting my daughter's University Town. She is autistic and the quiet atmosphere of this lovely little place were perfect and calming. Lovely people running the place too. Thank you.

Their services and hospitality is mind blowing.And the taste if food is very delicious.They also have very calm and peaceful atmosphere.

Food is good and delicious but sitting in the restaurant is like sitting in the ice bucket. Their door has been broken from the day of the dawn and every time you go there to eat you have to make sure you are wearing five layers of cloths, scarf, woolly hat and gloves. But on the positive note it gives you an experience of Serbian winter while eating the hot food.

Horrible food very bad quality and found hair in food. AVOID AT ALL COST.

Ordered good stale foul smell and uncooked food

Unfortunately I won't be ordering from you again as it took almost 1.5 hours to deliver food and there was a delay which if you had asked me I would have said to cancel the order. The food also didn't taste good, definitely not fresh the rice was hard and the naan too. There was no apology for the tardiness and you had also missed an item which I had to call back for. For such a small order and delivery only 5 mins away it was a shambles.

Amazing food, freshly cooked while you wait for 10 out of 10 for the service and cleanliness come and check it out. Amazing food you won’t be disappointed

Not good. Experienced with a bad taste curry. Management was very harsh when we explained the situation

I went with my friend for dinner. We ordered kebabs and Lamb tikka masala curry. The kebabs were ok but the meat in lamb tikka was uncooked and we were unable to break the meat pieces. We told the lady on the counter who hesitantly took it back. After few minutes we were given the curry back. This time I used a spoon to check if the meat was tender but I was unable to break the piece again. We told the lady again who told the chef who then tried to give the excuse that the meat maybe mixed meat and not pure lamb meat and that is the reason it's not tender. He probably forgot that it was them who bought the meat and not us and that he should have checked if the meat was tender before serving the dish. He took the curry back and brought it back after few minutes. This time we were able to break the pieces but there was no taste in the curry. The naans were cold by this time, we hardly managed to eat. We didn't make any fuss there and just left. The price of the curry was equal to Hounslow prices but no where near the taste, the large portion size was actually a small portion size and overall this was an awful experience, very disappointed.

really not a place I would return too, we got served by staff that had flower stuck to their hands, cuttlery, chairs, and the entire place were just poorly cleaned and food hygiene rating needs a serious review. staff were kind in attitude and felt welcomed but really should do somethinf about the entire aspect and cleanliness of the place.

Not recommend because the food is expansive then other asian Restaurant and also good is not sooo sooo tasty.

I had the worst stomach problem ever after eating here sadly, felt sick too. The curry dishes were watery and had not much flavour. The biriyani was nice however. The place felt a little dirty so I wouldn’t recommend eating here after my experience.

I do not recommend, we deliver the goods to them and I saw one of the cooks spit into the food, since then our cooperation has ended

Have visited here often. The food has always been tasty but this last time it was truly excellent. The staff have always been thoughtful, courteous and friendly.

Nice food, my favourite is Briyani best in reading and bhindi vegi. the only issue here is the parking if need to do a collection.

Went in here first time with my friend. Food took around 30-35 mins to come when we were the only people in their and food wasn’t great either. Not Fresh at all chicken tasted like it had been their for days. Not worth the money and I won’t be returning

We ordered a few portion of seekh kebabs, chicken tikka’s and naan. The order arrived within half an hour, tasted amazing and still hot. Recommend them 100%

I come here almost every day as I don’t have time to cook myself, the people that run the business have treated me with a lot of respect and exceptional customer service. Their Lamb karahi and mixed grill is amazing and usually my go to option, can’t recommend Star Karahi enough! The Nans that they serve are also the best I’ve encountered in Reading. Try for yourself and you won’t be disappointed.

It didn't look like much from the outside and I was put off by the meaty advertising (I'm vegetarian). But we went in and the staff were super friendly and helpful. And then I ate the daal which was absolutely delicious. All the food was freshly cooked to order using delicious ingredients. I'll definitely go back for that daal.

We went with family, service was - 0 plates, glass, fork and spoon was proper dirty, when food arrived it was 3 days old and chicken was smelling, all of us got food poison, advice to everyone stay away from this disgusting restaurant, I have report to council this restaurant should be closed, and they charge us £9:50 service charge, always make sure before paying, they are not allowed to charge service charge it's not legal. This restaurant don't deserve any star, please avoid this restaurant

Prices are better than other places, I have been too. . Portion sizes have gone less over the last year. Greasy food... But tasty.. Can recommend for a curry takeaway. Caution not the cleanest of the places..

Great food. The curries are excellent quality. Tandoori meat really nice and fresh. Sauces great too. Nothing negative to say at all.

As Muslims we are told to be grateful for food but I have to say, it is not nice when you pay for something and the quality is this poor. Free advice- if you’d like good reviews and loyal customers, please improve your food quality. The lamb dish was not lamb. It tasted like chewy beef. The pakoras were totally inedible because they were burnt to a crisp. They were black! I would have been ashamed to send this out to a customer. The prawn korma ratio of prawn to sauce was totally unbalanced. I am SO disappointed and will not be returning. Sorry.

It’s very good restaurant for Indian Pakistani desi food, All dishes were scrumptious but Dall Masoor and saag were above all in taste Naans were very good. Service was good and polite. Only inconvenience was it’s weak heating and entrance door was kept bit open , so chilly wind had its way to disturb enjoying best food in town

The curry is very nice, and the uncle that is working there is helpful & understandable.

Really tasty mixed tandoori starters, delic chicken karahi and naans. Saves me the trip to eat out at slough. Things to avoid: lamb spinach curry coz it was a bit tasteless. Daal curry is not nice at all and the mixed kebab rolls have far less meat and salad/sauce.

Usually order and collect freshly baked Naan bread. Good quality Naans and kebabs.

The tandoori dishes, lamb chops and chicken tikka were good but all the curries had too much salt. You could not taste any flavour in the chicken or prawn curry just salt. This was a takeaway during covid.

Had food from here totally Rude staff and poor service. Was waiting for ages food cold don’t buy waste of time and money. Staff not willing to listen

Food was nice, and portion size was good. However, the Peri Chicken is NOT Peri Chicken, which was a shame and is misleading. That's not to say it wasn't tasty, but it just wasn't Peri as expected.

I believe its based on preference. If you don't like or can't handle spice, don't bother here. I see reviews complaining about spicy food.. they should know that they can actually tell them to reduce it. I mainly have biriyani , vibdaloo curry etc and they have been good. Food quality is consistent and reliable. Friendly staff too :) Would say it better than most competitors that I know of.

So I bought a chicken karahi and a veggie dish with 4 naans, it was the biggest mistake of my life, I think I've had food poisoning from this place, I truly recommend anyone that cares about his or hers health to avoid this place at all costs. Nasty

Worst food ever...I order a Lori Chana the food was so bitter I could not eat it. I return it only for it to be 10 times worst. The chef poured the whole can of chickpeas including the water which your suppose to drain. The food was very watery I had to throw away the food instantly. Worst of time and money I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

So these clowns took my order online. Then failed to turn up after I waited 2 hours, rang them, only to be told that the shop was closed today! MY CREDIT CARD HAD BETTER NOT HAVE BEEN CHARGED!. DO NOT use them, they are useless!

Tenía una comida para llevar desde aquí y después de leer las críticas estaba un poco nervioso. La comida estuvo increíble. Todo tan fresco y sabroso. El pan de Nan fue una delicia, especialmente el Nan de ajo. El curry de jengibre estaba tan lleno de jengibre fresco que creo que es mi nuevo favorito. Este es ahora mi camino a la India.

Pedí una comida para llevar. No pude saborear nada del biriyani de aquí. Lamentablemente, tuve que tirar el biriyani. El pan naan tampoco se veía bien. Mejor no comérselo. No quería sentirme mal después.

Stopped here for a quick snack. Didn't look too clean and workers looked as if they had been in same clothes for weeks, but took my chances as i was in a hurry. Ordered a couple of portions of vegetable samosas, which they said would be freshly prepared. When my order was ready I took them back to the car to share with my family on our journey. Immmediately noticed they were cold, but worse..frozen in the middle. Drove immediately back and confronted them, they didn't seem too bothered and asked if I wanted another portion. They had microwaved frozen samosas then fried them to put a bit of colour on the pastry.No way, demanded my money and got out of there. BAD FOOD, POOR HYGIENE, ATROCIOUS CUSTOMER SERVICE. AVOID!!!!!

First time got food from here today and I didn't have enough cash so they let me off £1 ...which shows great customer service I got chicken karahi and bhuna gosht which was amazing ...Simple small place with amazing food Thanks a lot

Excellent Karahi curry, top quality authentic breads delivered quickly and efficiently. What more can you ask for? If you are not a fan of chilli, just ring the guys and they will make it to your liking... but as standard it's on the hot side... (Just how I like it!) . Certainly a different beast to the Bangladeshi curry houses, this is the real deal. Enjoy!

There was so much oil in my mixed vegetable dish that America wanted to invade my plate. I literally had to pour out the oil into the bin when I got home. I ate it but it was not pleasant.

You know where you are looking online for an Indian takeaway, you're seeing if they have consistent reviews that must mean the place is probably alright. Right? Well that wasnt the case here, I ordered a chicken tikka masala, it tasted very cheesy not like tikka masala at all. Only the chicken was good. I also got egg fried rice, I'm a guy who likes my salt but this was insane it tasted 10x saltier than what they put on in the chippy! Lastly, I ordered a peshwari naan. Genuinely think they seasoned it with liquorice it actually didn't taste like peshwari at all. I read the other reviews so their other dishes may be different but my experience here was awful - although it was cheap. I had to order something else to satiate my hunger as I could only stomach half of the food I ordered before i quit and gave it to my housemate. I dont even think he ate any either

Their biryani is super delicious, also chicken kadhayi, the only improvement required is in making a good white tea as I didn't like the tea served, I wud suggest they should make masala tea
