Gurkha Palace in Reading

A small independent cafe cooking food as and when ordered. Menu is a little exciting, providing English and some Nepalese food. Good prices, catering largely to shoppers visiting the small precinct. Friendly and competent owner and family.

I had lunch here,which was very good indeed. Albeit on the day I visited,I was the only one,at that time there. The waiter was attentive,and quickly took my order,which was freshly cooked,and came out from the kitchen in around 15 minutes approximately. The food was hat,well prepared,and tasty.I will certainly visit again.

I had the staff curry with coconut rice which was a really tasty combination. The staff were polite, attentive but not in your face. Would go again...

This restaurant is very good value for money with large portions, and very tasty food. service however was a bit slow but very friendly.
