Small restaurant with excellent ambiance and food prices are economical.

Absolutely awful meal, place untidy upon arriving tables not cleared, plastic in food, shattered chicken bones in food. Of putting and payed alot of money for our meals. Appalling, just disgusting.

Absolutely Divine meal. Just enough for 3 people even though I only order 1 portion each of three item. Mix and match and there was plenty for all of us. Brilliant. Tasty.

The only bottomless worth going to! We had bottomless drinks with food and it was outstanding. The drinks were served consistently quickly (which never seems to happen at other bottomless places) and the food was divine. Definitely worth the price. We will be back!

I cannot say enough how delightful dinner here was. The cocktails were clearly made by an excellent mixologist— they were delicious, refreshing, and had complex flavours. The scallops we had for starters weren't just flavourful, I swear they felt restorative to eat, as though they were steamed in a savory health potion. Our entrées, Mongolian beef stir fry and sizzling duck with ginger and spring onion, were so delightful too. It's just a shame we were too full for dessert! The atmosphere was immaculate, the space was so clean and beautifully presented, and the staff were so nice and helpful. Our server Maddie was an absolute legend. If you go to no other restaurant in Southampton, you should go to Shanghai 1814!

I’m always very impressed with the quality of the food and the customer service. The location of the restaurant is lovely as it overlooks the water. Very cool and relaxing too.

The food in the restaurant is normally good but our takeaway was extremely disappointing. I am not sure how long it had been sitting there but the rice was stodgy and the stickhy chicken and chicken wings were virtually inedible. We had one portion of confit duck which was acceptable but nothing more! The crumb on the salt and pepper squid was soggy! Not a good experience that we won't be repeating

Lovely meal and service from Nat - crispy squid was amazing and the rising duck star curry was delicious. We will 100% be returning.

We went to the Sunday evening banquet offer £15.95 each Food was lovely, best Indian restaurant in the area! Good service, staff friendly .. can’t wait to go again.

First time here 2 nights ago for pick up, very friendly staff and food was the best Indian we have ever had, massive thanks, our new go to Indian, see you next week. Paul.

Great food and great friendly service. We all had something different to start and for mains and every dish was superb. We will definitely come back.
