Thai Passion Restaurant in Thanet

The food was really good but the speed of the dishes was slow compared to what I am used to see at a Thai restaurant.

We had our dinner there last week and the food was exceptional - totally amazing. Delicious and to die for. The best Thai we've had in such a long time. Highly recommended a hidden gem !!

Ordered and waited almost 1 hour and 20 mins for our starters. The share platter came out and then 15 mins later the rest of starters came out. Waited another 30 mins for the mains rice came first then the dishes slowly. Two young waitresses did their best but clearly the kitchen could not cope with all the orders. Food however was amazing.

The waitesresses were amazing lovely grins on there face and the food was amazing I highly recommend the the chicken phadthai was absolutely amazing

Tried to complain discretely about wishy washy tasteless meal with limitless chewy beef in it and the young waitress with a skirt right up her crutch was so rude and refused any sincere apology or any type of discount, we had left more than we ate , I demanded to see the manageress who said we were the only ones who’d ever complained in 4 years . I’d imagine people normally walk out disappointed without making a scene , which we would do usually but this was dire and felt we has to say something. Then after leaving they told us to move away from front door when I was trying to phone for a taxi .Cross the road and go in the Wetherspoons . Worst Thai we’ve ever had . Lucky to get any stars at all . Never again .

Would definitely recommend the beef massaman curry and coconut rice , food taste fresh and delicious and you can taste the Authentic Thai Ingredients, the service was great and the restaurant is decorated with Thai ornaments and decorations , definitely coming again .

Would not eat here again. The waitress got the order wrong, then we were told they had run out of one of the dishes. The chef came out to apologise as she was on her own. The owner very rude & hostile to our group said if we hadn't been late they would not have run out we were a party of 6 & there was another table of two, so hardly rushed of their feet. Worst service & rudness I have ever had in a restaurant. Would definitely not return, even if it was the only restaurant in Ramsgate.

Bloody awful. Left sitting at the table for ages had to get up and ask to be served and at least get a drink. Waited for ages for the starter and what seemed a lifetime for the main we started to loose the will to live. When the food finally came it was passable. The young serving girls were sweet but didn't have a clue what they were doing. Would not go back again.

Well, what amazing food, I love Thai/Indian food and the food at Thai Passion was definitely up amongst the best food I've had, can't recommended the place enough

Food was good and good value too. We sat near the window so we could see the kitchen and the servicing staff, it just seemed all a bit unprofessional. £56 for 1 starter, 2 main courses and a bottle of prosecco, so I would say good value.

What a little Gem the food is beautifully presented and absolutely delicious, so pleased to discover this restaurant and is my go to when craving Authentic Thai food. The service was a little disjointed on a couple of visits but has improved however the quality of the food makes up for it. 👍🏻

The food was lovely it was well presented the dishes looked and tasted fresh. One main took quite a bit longer than the others to come out and service could have been a bit more attentive we had to call them over a few times and table clearence was half done. they just needed some service guidance but the flavour of the dishes made up for it and i would recommend visiting and we will be going back.

Lovely meal, quite slow coming out we were a table of 7 not slow enough to complain. It did not spoil our meal.

Ordered tofu skewers as a starter and this was truly awful, deep fried greasy tofu with no seasoning, sauce was nice. We did complain and was not charged for that and was asked how the skewers should be done, that's great to ask but if you don't know then perhaps this dish should not be on the menu!? Confused about the menu as one dish was a stir fry with noodles and the other was without, this was our mistake but thought that stir frys automatically came with noodles, it was too late to add, nevermind. My partners dish, firstly they forgot to add the tofu the dish was just a plate of underseasoned, not well cooked tofu and some undercooked vegetables. My dish was ok asked for extra cashews that didn't arrive :( Extremely disappointed, would not eat here again but the waitresses were lovely and sorted out our issues but too many downsides. Just wanted to get the bill than complain about my partners dish, definitely not the flavours of Thailand. Avoid.

This is probably the best restaurant in Ramsgate. The food is always consistent, well presented and delicious. My friends and I go on a regular basis and have never been let down. There can be a delay for food service during busy times, but it is always worth the wait. Relax and use the time to talk with your partner/ family/ friends!

Delicious food. Ate here on Saturday night - glad we prebooked as it filled up. Enjoyed a nice bottle of cold rose with the meal. Staff were attentive - letting us try the wine before ordering the bottle, refilling fresh water etc. Food was so tasty! Lots of options for me as a vegetarian. I loved the vegan green curry. My hub was less positive about the thai fishcakes but really enjoyed his chicken curry main. We had a thai omelette on the side...definitely recommend - was so good with the spicy curry. oops forgot to take a photo of the food! this was the nice rose!

Quite disappointing Took ages to get our food, four of us ate at different times in the end Kept forgetting what we asked for despite taking notes at the table Not busy in there either Sticky rice was more like a scotch pad Staff nice and apologetic but you have to get it right when so many other offerings around at the moment Will not return, left there much later than expecting and still hungry as portions a tad small.for my liking

Worst Thai food, don't waste your money. We went last night we both ordered a starter each and a main the waitress read the order back to us, I ordered fish cakes for my starter which came tiny thin round circles with what looks like processed meat, honestly the texture looked like the inside of a hot dog. They were disgusting. My main and rice came my partners rice came we waited for a bit thinking maybe they are bringing the main soon. We had to ask the waitress for it and she had said it hadn't been wrote down (which we know it had) we waited 15 minutes for his meal to come, my meat was either just skin or burnt and hard to chew. I spoke with the waitress to say how bad the food had been and was told that basically if I had said something at the time they could have done something and then walked away, as If to say tough. We then complained and I had said I wasn't going to say something for you to then take another 20 mins for my meal to be replaced. The attitude of the kitchen was awful the poor waitresses had to relay to us what they had said and you can see they was very uncomfortable. I refused to lay for my meal and starter but that took a while to explain to the management. Totally ruined our experience there. Go to Thai orchard in ramsgate 1000 times nicer!

Without doubt, the best Thai in Thanet, whether you eat in or take out.

We found this restaurant on google as we wanted to visit a local Thai Restaurant in Ramsgate as it was me and my husband’s Wedding Anniversary, Birthdays and close to Valentine’s Day. What can I say!? Well great service, lovely, friendly staff and the food was out of this world! My favourite restaurant so far, my mouth is watering just leaving this review haha! Even the owner came out and made sure we were happy. Will be re-booking very soon! 5 stars with bells and whistles. Xxx

The best thai around in thanet!

Another great meal with great service. Thai Crackers Mixed Thai Platter Beef Masaman Curry Duck in Tamarind Sauce Egg Fried Rice All great quality and plentiful. Staff welcoming and friendly.

Faultless, nice to eat food cooked with care

We had a really lovely meal here, the interior is a little stark and unwelcoming but it’s a council owned building so I suppose the restaurant can’t change the decor. Reasonably priced as well. Although we had the sizzling tiger steak and it was quite small and not worth £15.

A great restaurant for thai food lovers!

Probably the best Thai in Ramsgate. Stared with getting a takeaway, when the restaurant was closed .when staying in the marina it's a must.

Very disappointing. I am usually lazy and do not leave reviews, but this one I have to, and this is my first one star review for a restaurant. I'm not going to complain about staff. I assume they could be busy or could be a new intern so not experienced enough. The restaurant is smelly, which I could also tolerate because it must have been closed for a long time due to pandemic so not enough ventilation. Worse of worst, the food was not fresh. The platter is probably cooked from frozen, which is understandable, but half of the small bites are not fresh, especially the pork stuffing. The beef in the beef noodles is not eatable. Absolutely not fresh at all! Service, environment, price, I won't mind too much; Taste, I can also tolerate because probably different people have different preferences. HOWEVER, Please make sure you use FRESH ingredient at least! That's the bottom line for a restaurant.

I was very disappointed to over hear the management bad mouthing their staff today, especially as we have only ever experienced fantastic service from all the waiting staff since last summer. This year the waitresses just seem over worked and under valued. I hope the management correct their behaviour, apologise to their young staff members and offer them a pay rise before they lose both their staff and their customers from their poor management.

Good food but shocking service. Rude, order was wrong and they forgot about us after taking our order so waited outside for over an hour before they realised their mistake. Tried to charge us for food we didnt order. Could hear them complaining about us loudly. Would never go back.

Tasty food. Feel like the vegetables could be changed in the Curry dishes. Otherwise authentic and beautiful flavours. Staff are extremely friendly :)

A hidden gem located in Ramsgate Town Hall. Well worth a visit, great prices that wont put a dent in your pocket, and the food is so tasty.

My family took me for dinner on Friday for my birthday, it's a beautiful restaurant and the food was exquisite. I would like to say a big thank you to all the staff for making my birthday special.

Fantastic food! Having visited Thailand and know the cuisine well, I can honestly say this is the best and most authentic food I have ever had in the UK. I would highly recommend! The salt and pepper squid is amazing and the Curry's are out of this world! We have now dined here 4 times! Thanks for a lovely evening! | Will be returning again soon.

As experienced lovers of Thai food' my wife and I decided to try this restaurant in our town. We ordered one of our favourite dishes to start with, salt and pepper squids, a dish that is available almost anywhere today. The four balls of batter were dark brown, very crunchy and tasted of oil and not much else. For the main course, my wife ordered fish, which was passable, but did not resemble Thai food very much. I had seafood noodles, which was disappointing. Three prawns, which were okay, two small pieces of squid, which tasted of nothing, several cubes of tofu, which tasted like lumps of fat and for some strange reason, some cubes of flied bread, I think, which tasted of cooking oil. It had some salad with it, which was okay and the red sauce and noodles was just about edible. All in all, I would say that the standard was pretty poor and certainly not authentic Thai cooking. I would not go back.
