Al-Amin Tandoori in Maidstone

Absolutely disgraceful! Ordered a takeaway to be delivered and when turnt up was for a start in a Renault traffic work van, in the back! Full of tools and drills and electrician cable. Not in a hot bag at all so was stone cold. Driver dressed in work clothes somethered in dust and dirty. Absolute disgrace of a restaurant. To top it all off when I rang and explained politely what my issue was they have the front to tell me they wil bring the van to my address in daylight tomorrow and show me its clean in the back! Regardless if it’s clean, dirty, in a hot bag or loose, no food should be delivered in the back of a work van surrounded by dusty tools and drills and cable and worksman materials. NEVER ORDER FROM HERE. TERRIBLE PLACE, RUDE STAFF AND DIRTY DELIVERIES

Slightly disappointing,not used for a while but the madras seemed thin,allo gobi was watery & naan very doughy…always been fantastic in the past but this wasn’t,sorry

Been getting takeaways from Al-Amin at least once a week for 23 yrs and can honestly say in all that time we've only had a few issues Missing Bhajis and once got the incorrect order which was quickly resolved but the food is always top quality and hot

Poor dinner tonight chips cold an item missing from order , starters were dry and the salad was warmer than the food itself, popadoms were stale also! Rang restaurant n their reply was we are busy ! Not good enough !

This take away was delicious, and more than I ordered. 2 poppadoms became 4 delivered, and a free naan was also included. Would definitely recommend the tandoori mixed grill. All the meat was so tender and I had to split the delivery in 2 as there was no way I was going to manage in 1 sitting. Highly recommended A+++++

Really good takeaway there dhansak is the best out there and if you like extra spicy just put it in the notes. Really nice people yes you may have to wait a while for delivery especially Friday and Saturday but they are busy which is a good thing. Highly recommend Please start doing paneer????

Absolutely disgusting the food was stone cold the onion bhaji was burnt the prawns were rock hard and all the man on the end of the phone could say was next time I’ll sort it then he said there’s no delivery drivers to come and get the food absolutely will NEVER Be GOING BACK THERE

Been let down a few times now by this takeaway these were always my go to Indian takeaway but unfortunately I have now had to change. Just before Christmas i noticed a change in the takeaway my order took two and half hours to show up, then the next week something was missing from my order then the next week two things were missing from my order. They promise the next week you can have what was missing but instead of giving it to you they forget that item and something else off the order. Think some type of change in the background has happened but it’s been for the worse and this takeaway is no way as good as it was a couple of months ago. Shame as it was nice once upon a time. Good luck for the future but please note this is peoples money and dinner of the day, repetitive petty mistakes can be avoided.

Ordered on line at 18.30PM food eventually turned up at 20.45PM after phoning to find out where it was, guy on the phone was quite abrupt and offered no apology for the delay, When the food arrived it was luke warm at best. and had gone past the hunger stage by then… food was ok but definitely not worth the wait, won’t be ordering from them again which is a shame.

Check your order at the door! Second time running we have ordered a biryani and it was delivered with no veg curry side. Onion bhajis were really dry and not there normal standard. When I called to say items were missing they said they would send it within 20 mins - 1 hour later nothing - called again it never turned up. Service and food quality has really gone down hill lately. I will not be rushing back any time soon.

True to form these guys really take the Michael with regards to delivery time. Told 45 mins - arrived nearly 2 hours later. Called to chase they said driver on the way - hadn't even asked who we were or what address such a fob off.

Every time I visit Maidstone I walk to buy my dinner at Al Amin. The staff are really friendly and helpful. All my food was ready so quickly. Amazing delicious flavours, tender meat, lovely textures. I have been visiting from the Hampshire coast for many years and I have no intention of stopping! Thank you Al Amin for your food always being incredible!

We have been using the Al-Amin since 1997 the foodis really delicious cannot fault it, I recently had problems and been a little unhappy with the service provided BUT fair play to Ali and his team, I left a message with a lovely lady who takes the orders, the message was passed on and the problem Put right. Ali and his team always put their customers first I would always recommend the Al-Amin do give them a try 😊

Terrible company won’t stop texting me with their ‘discounts and offers’, despite requests to do so. Texts don’t allow for responses, the text address can’t be traced, blocked or removed. I’ve emailed twice, to no avail. I ordered one delivery of food from them, a very long time ago, wasn’t impressed with food or delivery time, so have never ordered from them again, Totally rubbish bunch who don’t respond to emails pleading for them to just STOP. Don’t give them your personal details, you’ll never get rid of them !!!

Very long wait on food called twice to see where it had got to when it finally came was cold called them to tell them this to be told by a very rude man send it back then no apology or anything ordered it at 5.40 to be delivered for 7 turned up at 7.40 will not be returning and avoid at all costs

Ordered food to be delivered for a certain time it came over half an hour late and was cold I even called to say it was cold and all I got was send it back then not what I expected after waiting so long for it not even an apology very rude man I spoke to

Sadly this was ordered as a special treat for my family for looking after me over the whole of Christmas because I have had covid. The balti I ordered was so spicy I couldn't eat it and was missing the naan. (Im pretty sure a balti is not supposed to be as hot as a Madras). The jalfrezi my husband had , tasted and looked exactly the same as the balti. The korma was so anaemic looking and literally just tasted of cream, so my daughter also ate nothing. I did call them to tell them that the naan was missing and that we couldn't tell the difference between 2 of the dishes, but there was no apology. A waste of money and thoroughly disappointed.

My wife and me have just had an order from AL-Amin. It was the most wonderful curry I have ever tasted in my life. Each dish was distinct with various flavours. Not sure about this place now. Order took an hour and the food was ridiculously salty. Chicken tikka masala was deep red more colouring than ingredients. Seems all the food was rushed no care put into the cooking gone down in my expectations

I ordered food from this takeaway some time ago, giving my mobile no. as part of the ordering online. Since then, I have been receiving texts from them which I cannot stop. There is no facility to text back to ‘Stop’ them, there’s no number to block and, despite two emails to the restaurant asking them to remove my details from their systems, I am STILL getting the texts. They have not even had the common courtesy or decency to respond in any way to the emails I’ve sent. I know I can delete each individual text from my phone, but WHY can’t this restaurant just deal with my request properly and remove my details in order to stop these annoying texts? I can’t believe that it’s so difficult to do.

We always order from Al Amin, and we must say we have yet to be disappointed. We order from them every weekend and every time we’ve had their food we have smiles on our faces. It is fresh and delicious. Highly recommend!

Just had a delivery veg curry was more like a tomato sauce and I had to put my own spices in just to have some taste 2 bits of potato okra and aubrigne and crougett skins and very little cheese on nan bread husband enjoyed his korma

We have had several takeaways delivered from the Al Amin Tandoori during the period of the Coved 19 Lockdown and I must say that the food is excellent, tasty and hot despite the distance from the restaurant to our house, also they have always kept to the delivery time they have told us when ordering. We will definitely be using them again in the future and will also recommend them to others.

Visited this indian for the first time today and was gifted a meal as an emergency worker. The menu is very extensive and has a wide variety of flavours and dishes. I really enjoyed the meal and this was a very kind gesture by the owner.

Visited this month and ali was amazing he really did his best to get our food out. Hes also currently donating food to nhs staff and emergency services so even being very busy he still got the food out with in 15 mins tops and was absolutely lovely food

Hi I went to collect my food from this take away for the first time before I write about the staff what excellent food amazing as for Ali and his staff absolutely brilliant there’s a young English boy who packs and shouts orders out in the kitchen and his passion towards this is astronomical, he drives the kitchen in my opinion and I hope I see this in the future when I visit as Ali and his staff. Brilliant and tasty Indian take away, always great value and freshly cooked so allow enough time for it to be prepared and you won't be disappointed. The guys and girls there are always smiling despite being so busy at times.

Food good but had to be microwaved as only tepid. Had given 90 minutes notice but after 2 phone calls arrived an hour late.

Brilliant take away - delivers almost anywhere within Maidstone area (10 miles plus!) seriously try the Chef Special - Murgh Naga Chilli Massala - quality dish if you like/can handle a hot dish - seriously - if you are looking for a decent dish - use this restaurant.

Again another lovely meal, delivered quickly and tasting amazing, with some left over for my lunch! Yum!! 10 years ordering from here and I cannot fault anything about this place. Thanks again guys for a wonderful dinner! Same time next week!

We dont use any other indian takeaway other than Al-Amin, and we cant fault them! They're always here in time, foods always here nice and hot and we haven't had any issues, food is delicious definitely wont go anywhere else!

Ordered food including garlic rice. Received food but no rice, garlic chicken instead of rice. Called back, oops we made a mistake would you like rice delivered? No,been up since 3am have to get up 3am so not waiting as now 20.15.

We had not used Al Amin for a long time because the service was bad. We received a letter offering a 30% discount if we came back to them. We ordered some food at 7.30 pm with a delivery time if 45 minutes. TWO HOURS later & several phone calls telling us it would be with us in ten minutes, our food finally arrived. They were very unhelpful & we will not be going back. Al Amin if you are busy be honest with your customers.

We always order from here since moving house, we tried several curry houses and none were as good as this one. Excellent chicken tikka masala, usually very prompt on service and always friendly on the phone when placing an order. Would recommend!

Not used Al-Amin for over a year, but gave it a try following a 20% off Voucher and friends round. Started off Terribly as half way through our order the reception put us on hold, (But we could still hear as she took two other order) before coming back to us and having to start again. Whole process took ages. Food arrived but 2 dishes missing, which turned up 25 mins later. But the worst was the food. Vindaloo that has the heat of a cold potato, Chicken Chat that tasted of nothing and Chicken Madras that was more like a soup. Wish I had stayed with Spice Hut
