Having eaten here twice over a year ago, both times were nothing outstanding , I am Pleased to say our meal Here last week was absolutely wonderful. Service attentive and all dishes were thoroughly delicious. My only reservation would be that the restaurant is just a touch too bright for An evening meal.

Came with some work friends for lunch. We all had a lovely time, food and service were perfect.

Really good for Gluten and dairy free. Helpful and food absolutely amazing!! Says a lot about a place when they can adapt to allergies!

A family night out for my wife, my 11 year old son and me. The staff were very friendly and engaged with my son rather than ignoring him. The food was very good and the price reasonable

Ordered through Deliveroo and was very disappointed. Had the squid saver with Thai green chicken curry. Added vegetable spring rolls and pork skewers. The rice had some hard clumps, the Thai green curry had little flavour and lots of large chunks of root ginger in that were difficult to chew. It did have a generous amount of chicken in though. The squid was greasy. The pork skewers were chewy. The best part was the spring rolls, though the ‘salad’ that came with them was limp and unappetising. Surprised to read all the good reviews from diners at the restaurant as the same quality doesn’t seem to go into the takeaways.

The delicious Thai cuisine with its world-acclaimed street food included stir-fries and salads, curries and noodles and stir-fries. The flavours were Spicy and bold, yet well-balanced, Thai food is recognisable from the first bite because: It has zesty, zingy aromas such as: lemongrass, chili, lime and mint. With a family group of seven people, we ordered various dishes including chicken satays, dim- sums, papaya salad, prawn crackers, green chicken curry, jungle curry, prawn stir fry along with flavoured rice dishes.

4.5 Food was excellent , far better than what we were expecting as its a chain. We ordered a real mix up, the slow cooked beef and pulled pork was great. Looked beautiful, atmosphere was a little odd. Nice decor, staff where pretty good. No idea if the others are this good but would certainly give them a go based on this one.

The food was ok but everything was very very sweet and loaded with sugar. The massamam was sickly sweet with a few tiny pieces of dry beef and mostly carrot; worst I’ve ever tasted. The soft shell crab and prawn main was very expensive for a tiny portion which included just one prawn split in two and one tiny crab. It was also covered in peppercorns and rock hard little aubergines making 80% of the dish inedible. A truly terrible dish. The rice was served in a plastic bag that was impossible to open without scalding my hands. Sadly we left hungry and queasy even though it cost nearly £100

Been here a few times and every visit has been very pleasant. Staff are very courteous and the food is great as always. I would recommend booking in advance as around dinner times, it gets very busy. Probably the best restaurant in Esher.

Have not been her for a long time due to circumstances but just loved the new decoration and seating. Really cheerful. Also and most importantly, the menu has changed too allowing you to pick and mix with their tapas option. Really enjoyed being able to sample new dishes in small amounts and having the option of a mini pudding too. Food was delicious and service exceptional.

The place looks nice and welcoming. The shared plate was very good. The main option a bit disappointing. One dish was not so warm and mine was misleading . I ordered the prawn and soft crub however lots of super spicy sauce with some French beans but the main ingredient were almost nothing just the battered bit. Lots of sauce but no much to eat..and way too hot. A bit disappointed. Desert were nice.

Lovely establishment with good atmosphere, service, and more importantly food. Both my starter of one bite salmon and main of king prawn pad thai were excellent. The star of the show however was the impulse order of the tamarind mushrooms with greens. This was excellent. The deep fried mushrooms were beautifully battered and fried (not tempura thankfully) and were perfectly seasoned. They were so good they have made me question my default order of crispy chilli squid the next time I go there. I am not vegetarian or pescatarian , but for this visit I eschewed my default of beef and curries for lighter plates. I was not disappointed. After the highlights of starters and mains, the deserts were disappointing. Nothing wrong with them, they just did not shine. Also points for great selection of alcohol free cocktails. Mango and chilli was great.

Giggling Squid offers a good menu. The favourites are well catered for here. The green curry is delicious. The staff are responsive and friendly. The team cope well with large groups. The interior is good. Definitely a good place to eat with friends.

Vegetable pad Thai was lathered in oil, and had burnt bits. Dumplings are MSG bombs. Service is good but shame the food doesn’t match up.

The food and service was excellent. We tried their sharing fisherman’s platter for a starter and I had Prawn and Soft Crab curry for main whilst my partner opted for the chicken pad curry and both were excellent. I was however surprised to see that I had been charged £1.75 for 2 glasses of tap water which slightly took the edge off our experience. We both ordered alcohol with our food and the bill for the two of us was slightly in excess of £100. I briefly considered deducting the service charge from the bill in protest at being charged for the tap water, but as our waitress had been so nice decided to let it go and said nothing. Having had a very respectful reply from The Gigglig Squid I can now see that the £1.75 charged was for a diet Coke mixer and not for water. I can only appologise for my error and again express my delight in with the excellent quality of food and service.

We booked a table a week in advance for a special family birthday on New Year’s Day at 6.30pm. We arrived on time. There was no table specifically reserved despite us requesting a nice table for the birthday meal. The service was awful. We waited half an hour to order drinks and food. We waited an hour for our starters. Some of the drinks we ordered didn’t arrive. The food was good but the poor service spoiled what was meant to be a special occasion. Despite us having booked a table, other diners who arrived after us ordered and received their food long before us. The manager said they were short staffed but they were accepting bookings and people without bookings in spite of this. Really disappointing.

We found two metallic wires in our lunch set, when confronted, the restaurant staff took it away and then claimed that they were basil stems, when asked to bring back the so-called Basil Stems, they said they threw it, very low and disingenuous behaviour, throughout the episode no shop manager came out to apologise and try to brush it under the carpet.

I have been going to this restaurant for some time now and must say the food standards and quality have become substandard. We ordered the food from the tapas lunch menu. Everything tasted like it was take out from the fridge. Cold and soggy. Will not go again.

We chose this restaurant as staying nearby and it said it had a good variety of gluten free options and as I’m coeliac it’s vital when eating out, the menu is fab, there’s a barcode to scan so you can see what you can eat rather than what you can’t which is a massive plus. The food itself is delicious, so fresh and tasty, the service is as you would expect, polite, courteous and efficient with warmth. The restaurant is comfortable and elaborately decorated which all adds to a delightful visit

Always a lovely atmosphere - buzzy but not busy - and the restaurant is always so nicely styled. The food was delicious - fresh, beautifully presented and piping hot. A good range of drinks and cocktails made it fun choosing our drinks too. The service was impeccable. It would have been rude not to order a dessert!

Great menu options. Last visit food not as good as usual, Seasoning not balanced. Too sweet or too salty. We also felt hurried as asked at least 5 or 6 times if table can be cleared 🤔

I was there last night any thoroughly enjoyed my meal. I had been with friends during the day and they had all disbursed so I ate alone. The service was very good and the staff friendly and helpful. Next time I 'm staying over after a Race Day I will definitely be back! One small point - I had the sticky ribs and they didn't have either hot towels or wet wipes. Could easily be rectified ..... and should be.
