We were visiting the area and decided to try the Nepalese menu, the food and service were absolutely outstanding, so we decided to eat there again the following evening. Highly recommended

Great little pub that serves super Indian food and on the Sunday evening we were there had a fantastic little four -piece band. A curry and a gig loved it.

Delicious Nepalese food (and Sushi now, on Monday nights), in a great pub, with very friendly staff. You need to book over weekend.

Whilst the prawn puri starter was tasty, we were disappointed with the mains. The Himalayan green chicken in particular was watery and rather tasteless considering it was recommended by the waiter. It could have done with more heat and flavour. The staff were friendly but took a long time to serve. Would try again and hoping this was a one off given so many people are clearly very keen on it.

A Brilliant pub / restaurant, it has never disappointed. The food and service are always very good. A very relaxed feel and is dog friendly which works for us. Highly recommended. The food is like Indian restaurant food bit lighter and actually nicer, always very fresh tasting.

Nice cold beer , clean food and nice relaxed atmosphere , the Ghirlandaio mixed grill starter is a meat eaters dream. Bit tight wiv the chutneys n dips when they bring out the popadoms low

We went for dinner. The terrace is ok to drink something. They have two comfortable tables and two "camping" tables thar are horrible to be seated. The Nepalese food is tasty, we enjoyed a lot with the dishes.

Very delicious and distinctive, the flavors are well thought out and the temperature is very acceptable for eating. The two times I ate it, it was very special and I craved noodles every time The samosa is a little burnt, but delicious Although the restaurant has a very ordinary decor, their service is fast and their food is delicious

Best Nepalese chicken madras this side of the West London Monty's (the 3 originals). My wife's plate was wiped clean as well.

Having only ever had a takeaway, I thought I'd go in with a mate and now we have our freedoms back, enjoy a sit down curry. Overall a good quality, reasonable value curry house. They do the standard curry house curry's but also some much more interesting and unusual ghurka curries inspired by the himalayas! They gave good ale and lager on tap and the staff are friendly and attentive.

Great food, spent a wonderful Christmas Day here, couldn't ask for more.

Just had the nicest curry here I've had in a long time. Visiting London from the Midlands so we are no strangers to a good curry. Thought this place looked interesting as it had good reviews and was a bit different from the traditional Indian or Sri Lankan curries we normally have. Upon arrival to The Ferry we were a little apprehensive as it looks like a traditional pub from the outside, it probably was, but we went in anyway and we were not disappointed! Service was spot on, polite, helpful and attentive. Food was outstanding quality. It was so obvious that it's all freshly made, it was simply delicious and all at a very reasonable price. Remember to tip your waitor as service isn't included. Highly recommended.

This pub remains our favourite local. The manager and staff are so lovely and the food and drink is top notch. They are very covid-secure.

Lovely food and friendly service from this local gem

Sadly one of the most disappointing takeaways I’ve ever had. The mains were terribly watery and rather tasteless (we had Himalayan Green Chicken and a Madras). We ordered a Peshwari Naan which ended up being enough for one person at most, and had no taste to indicate it was anything but a shop bought naan. The portion sizes were okay and it came relatively quickly, but unlikely to ever order from again. A great disappointment.

Regulars over a few years and it never disappoints. So many unusual curries, great vegetable side dishes, fantastic naan. The decor isn't fancy but who cares when the food is this good.

Family had dinner 19th Sep. Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff wearing masks. All done well to face the Covid problems, etc. First time there since February. Food just as good. Everything was good. Strongly recommend this place.

We enjoyed a lovely night out last week at the Ferry for a family celebration. The food was truly excellent and surprisingly different, the staff were delightful and attentive and we felt very safe with wide open doors and good ventilation. Thank you so much.

The ambience, service and food always make this a fantastic place to spend an evening. Unassuming but superb. I've been over ten times and still highly recommended this place.

Come for probably the best naan bread I’ve ever tasted and stay for the welcoming service. The food is fresh and fast. The front of the restaurant makes for a lovely place for a quiet drink with friends when many pubs are so noisy.

A fantastic family friendly and family run bar restaurant in a great location aside the Thames. The menu is simply stunning. Very popular Nepalese food fusions and a great range of beers and wines etc. A secret of our village. Dogs allowed too in the bar area that has seating for dinner too so your pet can come too!! Staff and management extremely friendly and the prices are very reasonable indeed. Well worth a visit. Open late for food too!! Fabulous!!

We've eaten here once and it was quiet. Food was OK. Since that time we've tried the takeaway menu a few times and we have to say that the quality of it is impressive. Really freshly made food, incredibly tasty. We would consider this as our "go to" place to order takeaway. However, we have had to point out to them that they should not write our debit card number down on a piece of paper (as it seems they have done) to take note of it; rather they need to just push the number through their card reader.

My wife and I were recommended this place sometime ago and have been back many times since. The food always tastes fresh and well spiced and not hot so that you can't taste the proper flavours of the individual items within a dish. The staff are always attentive and polite and the atmosphere really works well.

This was my third visit to this excellent restaurant, each with a group of friends, the biggest group was 18 and they coped well with the large order, although splitting the bill was a bit of nightmare so if in a large group try having the bills in groups of 4 perhaps . There is an odd layout where the very front of the establishment is a old fashioned proper pub where you are welcome to just pop in for a pint of reasonably priced (under a fiver ) of well kept real ale, or alternatively have an authentic Gurkha meal. While bog standard Indian restaurant dishes are on the menu they arent the speciallity, I would recommend going for the more authentic Gurkha dishes - I've tried the Pork Messing and Everest Lamb and can recommend both - talk to the well informed staff and they will guide you as to heat etc - our next visit has already been arranged !!

Nice little spot good choice of lagers and food was quite nice but my local takeaway is nicer , would have given it more stars but came in just before Christmas on the mon night and the service was like they couldn’t be arsed and wanted us to be as quick as possible , had to clear away my own starter plate and to get a drink was hassle in itself , maybe was a off night

Genuinely the tastiest curry I've had(had the cod), good waiting, nice people, and even better, it's a pub as well. Really unusual place, but so so good. Don't let the pub bit put you off, it's predominantly a restaurant, and a very good one at that. Very reasonably priced.

This has become one of my favourite restaurants in Thames Ditton! The portions are large and the cost is reasonable. Great service too! Highly recommend!

We went to this place for a family lunch. The food was excellent and freshly cooked. And the service was very friendly and prompt. It was extra special because we were able to bring the family dog as well. We will definitely be returning to this restaurant.

Visited last Friday evening for an impromptu meal. The atmosphere was good, a pub at the front, restaurant to the rear, works well. The menu was interesting, North Indian, comprehensive and very reasonable. We were served courteously, and quickly and our food arrived within twenty minutes. It was excellent. Well done! We love The Ferry - definitely our no.1 eatery in the area!! Great drinks, fabulous Nepalese food and a lovely welcoming atmosphere all year round. This really is such a special place run by lovely people.

Once again I have to mention the food served at this local pub/restuarant.It’s Sunday after 3.30 pm, looking for a spot of lunch, Arrived greeted with a very large smile from the owner of this establishment. We Ordered a beer and then the main dish, skipped the starters, I enjoyed the nMadras lamb dish, requested extra spices, just right as Goldilocks would have said, my wife ordered the traditional Nepalese Hill boy special curry, (chicken) and the Nepalese mixed vegetable curry all served with rice and the best naan I’ve tasted (since I last ate here) Ha Ha Remember this restuarant is very dog friendly so our dog also enjoyed a little treat given by the owner.Most enjoyable un-traditional Sunday lunch. A must try

We stayed in the holiday inn just up the road and wanted somewhere to walk too after going horse racing. We found this amazing Indian restaurant. The food was very fresh and tasty and the price very responsible for Surrey. Definitely recommend

We went with the groom for his last night of freedom and there was 5 of us and it’s the first time any of us have been there and can’t speak highly enough of it we all shared a mix starter with momos it was the perfect start and washed down with my favourite beer in San Miguel on draught then followed by a hot lamb curry and rice with sides and bread we all had a perfect meal and will definitely be returning and the staff are all very polite thanks for a great meal and we will be back soon

We're total regulars, the food here is consistently great. We love curry if all varieties but the flavours in Nepalese food are incredible. We always get lots of the vegetable dishes - and the traditional spicy sauce creations are fab too.

We were staying at the Holiday Inn just 4 minutes walk up the road. Went there for dinner on Saturday night as never tried Nepalese before. We liked the restuarant so much we went back the following evening! The food was delicious, flavoursome and nice to try some slightly different curries. The service was excellent, staff friendly and good that they remembered us. We liked the atmosphere being part pub, busy but not noisy on the Saturday night and a lot quieter on Sunday. It's a shame we have nothing like this in Essex near where we live.

Had a takeaway from here last night excellent service and food was sublime, so tasty, will definitely do it again and recommend highly!!!! 😋

Really good Nepalese food - quirky part pub part restaurant

Came upon this pub whilst out looking for somewhere to get supper. Discovered it also was a nepalese restaurant. The food was amazing, beautifully cooked and tasty.

I went here at lunchtime with my sister. The food was fabulous still saying how much we enjoyed the food hours later. Sadly it wasn't busy being lunchtime but will definitly be back for an evening meal. Staff were both pleasant and friendly

We have visited The Ferry quite frequently and have very much enjoyed their cuisine, which tastes fresh and delicious. The menu is very exciting and the staff are excellent. We visited with a couple of friends last Saturday, who also very much enjoyed their second experience at this restaurant with us.

We love this pub and came here for a Christmas carol love music night and it was AMAZING!! Great drinks, fabulous Nepalese food given by the pub (unexpected and made it all the more brilliant!) and a fabulous night all round. This really is such a special place run by lovely people.

We love The Ferry. Best time to visit is weekday lunchtimes when it's quiet. A great selection of dishes, with that unique Nepalese twist. We always order garlic naan & daal - both barometers of how good a place is. Highly recommended!

Since visiting the restaurant last nite i just have to write a review .... simply amazing food ! 6 guys who have never cleared there plates before, the food was that good that 1 is returning again the next day ... a pub with an inhouse curry and friendly staff notwithstanding amazing food, wats not to like ..... my only problem is am sure if not already it will become very very popular .. cant wait to return !

Only visted for a drink didn't have food... no character to the place and horrible dull atmosphere. Is it a pub is it a restaurant? Need to be one or the other not try and be both. Not a nice experience

Lovely filing and tasty meals at good prices and dog friendly

Started off superbly, but standards seems to have slipped since then and food definitely not as good any more. A shame as for a while it was a little local gem. Now quite frankly we can make tastier curries at home so don't go any more. An infamous big group Christmas dinner there last year was the final nail in the coffin for us. Might give it another go one day, but not feeling it any time too soon.

We come here as a family (including the dog, who sits under the table) and have always found the food to be excellent. The service is friendly too, but occasionally needs a gentle reminder when they are busy. Recommended.

Visited my sister who lives nearby who recommended this great place. We are great fans of Gurkha food and are frequent visitors to our local restaurant in Brecon. For starters I had Lamb Sekuwa which was very juicy and not too dry. For main we all dipped in each others and had Hill Boy special (lamb), Himalayan Green Chicken, Pathia Chicken, Pahadi Dahl served with pillau rice, nan bread and mixed vegetables. The next table had sizzlers , all of which looked very exciting and i am looking forward to my next visit to try them. Staff are excellent , the place is lovely and clean and very welcoming. The menu points out gluten dishes, vegetarian and warns of food alergies for those who need it.

We like this Place and would say that despite my personal dis appointment on this visit will give one more chance some time in future.
