Love this place! The curries are SO, so delicious and good value for money. I like things extra hot so I asked for it so, and the friendly staff were happy to accommodate. It was deliciously hot. The prawn toast you can tell is definitely homemade. It's a perfect little portion, but it was a bit overcooked, as it was too crispy. The chicken satay was great. I highly recommend trying the FOCO coconut water. I had it here on the recommendation of my partner, and it was amazing! It has actual chunks of coconut in it 😍

This was the first meal out I have had since the beginning of the pandemic. This place has a fairly large concrete garden area for dining and drinks. The staff here are very hard working, friendly and attentative. I ordered the satay chicken which was very good as was the satay sauce it comes with. The spare ribs were very flavourful, well cooked and were coated in a sticky soy glaze. The chicken garlic with peppers was particularly good. The coating was well seasoned, crispy yet delicate and the chicken itself incredibly tender. I also ordered a beef massamun curry with rice and noodles, all of which tasted great. Drinks were all served nice and cold. Can not fault this place at all and well done to them for providing such an exceptional experience.

I forgot to take pictures during this meal and only took pictures of the bubble milk tea, but the overall dining experience is still worth recording. This Taiwanese restaurant has a small storefront, so it’s easy to miss it if you don’t pay special attention, especially in this densely populated area with many dining options. However, this restaurant is the only Taiwanese restaurant in the area. It is a one-man business to a certain extent. Therefore, even though the space is limited, it still attracts many customers to visit. Since there are not many seats in the store, it is recommended to book a table in advance to avoid waiting for a long time. This time I came here from Sutton for lunch on a weekday, mainly because the store provides a member lunch set, which includes a cup of bubble milk tea. Compared with a la carte, the price/performance ratio is quite high. This set meal combination not only gives people the opportunity to taste the special dishes in the store, but also enjoy a cup of pearl milk tea. However, the performance of the pearl milk tea is quite satisfactory. The tea flavor is not strong enough and the taste is ordinary. The Q-bounciness of the pearls is not bad, but the overall performance is not particularly amazing. I will not miss it after drinking it once. If you come specifically for the bubble milk tea, you may feel a little disappointed, but if it comes with food, it is still an acceptable choice. This time we ordered curry pork chop rice. The taste was very rich and smooth. The curry sauce was just right and had a slight spicy taste. It blended well with the golden and crispy pork chop. It was very appetizing. The taste of the rice was also quite good and overall the performance was stable. My friend ordered Lu Pork Rice, which tasted equally good. The marinade was full of aroma and had a strong Taiwanese home-cooked flavor. The moderately fat and lean braised pork tasted even better after being mixed with rice. In addition, I also ordered salted crispy chicken this time. It tasted crispy and delicious, and the outer skin was fried to a crispy texture. However, the seasoning was a little lacking. It tasted more like ordinary fried chicken, but not the aroma that Taiwanese salted crispy chicken should have. Although it was fried well and the chicken was quite tender, if some nine-layer pagoda aroma could be added or the seasoning level of pepper could be increased, it would have a more Taiwanese flavor. As for the famous beef noodles in the store, we didn’t order it this time, mainly because of the high price and considering that it might not be full enough, so we finally chose rice as our staple food. However, if I have a chance to come back next time, I might consider trying this signature dish to see if it’s really worth a return visit. Overall, although this Taiwanese restaurant has a small space, the food is of good quality. If you want to find authentic Taiwanese food in this area, this is a good choice. Although the price is on the high side, if you can choose the lunch set meal, the overall price/performance ratio will be more reasonable. If you are interested in Taiwanese food, it is recommended to book a table in advance to avoid being disappointed or having to wait.

Curries were always good here when the restaurant was called Rice n Spice but since the change of name and menu the food is possibly even better with an eye on the fresh ingredients, herbs and spices. Now they definitely stand out from the crowd for exquisite flavours and excellence. I highly recommend a visit even if it is a bit off the beaten track, a really nice place to eat out with friends or a special occasion. Delicious.

The prawns tasted funky and after we told the waiters. He said that it was how it supposed to be. Clearly it wasn’t, It is not our first time eating Asian food. We were not offered a replacement dish of any sort. In the end We did not eat it and after asking for a discount the waiter felt the right to get upset with us (yes, he got upset, the poor thing and we were the one being asked to pay for bad food) he refused the discount saying that he wouldn’t do it just because we didn’t like the food?!! Good job! Keep treating your customers like that.

I don’t want to write a long winded review abut this place but I feel I need to send out a public health warning for people that won’t realise how this place is taking advantage of the food ignorance of some of the general public. What we ordered for starters : chicken satay for starters: when it arrived to the table the chicken was covered in peanut sauce,it was very dry and tasted rancid and sour, sent back and the came back the same , did not eat it. The clue that there was something wrong was the fact that the chicken was covered with the peanut sauce, this is not normal when ordering chicken satay. What we ordered for main course: Beef rendang , chicken rendang, rice , roti , stir fry vegetables . The vegetables wear good, roti was tasty but very oily, beef rendang was not great ,it was too wet more like a stew not like an authentic dry Randang and it had an unpleasant after taste. Chicken rendang is a made up dish not an authentic to Malaysia but thought I would try it , wish I didn’t , I did not like the smell so did not eat much . Most of the food was still left when we asked for the bill and The manager asked if we wanted to take the food away my response was no we didn’t this food is rubbish . I think this restaurant is desperate for the penny and don’t care that they are serving up poor quality food that is not fresh because some people don’t know any better. As someone that’s been fortunate to visit Malaysia a few times i can say that this place is doing a poor representation of Malaysian food and the most disturbing thing is that I think they are knowingly serving food that’s going off.
