Amazing satay chicken with egg fried rice, and starters were varied and tasty, and clearly freshly cooked. Nice staff, quick service and priced between a takeaway and a restaurant, so felt good value. Enjoyable evening!

I went to this restaurant with my partner more than once after that she is been introduced to it from her cousin..... defenetly word of mouth is always working!!! We tried different dishes on the menu and everything it's so good (bare in mind that I've been to Japan quite often), dim sum, dumplings, Peking duck and more. Every single dish on the menu it's mind blowing dessert included. Sour note is the take away, I really believe that they should have their own delivery drivers because with Deliveroo they smashed the containers twice already and even if we had a full refund and a new order sent for free was annoying and we had to wait for 2 hours. Defenetly going to the restaurant itself it's worth it especially for the fantastic service and customer service.

Miso is a clean restaurant that offers good tasting Asian food and friendly service. They offer a big portion size so it is easy to share your meals with others. The prices are also reasonable and they offer lunch time specials. Their fruit juices are natural and refreshing.

plenty to choose from on the menu... look out for "specials" on the place mat. food does not take long to come after ordering. Be hungry, it's quite big portions! Not usually so busy that you need to book.

So I went with my friend for dinner. Was lovely big proportion meals. Food taste brilliant and service was great. Prices are not to bad. Toilets were cleaned and maintained regularly .

For a cheap, quick, noodle meal, then try this resturant, which has lots of seating, so no need to book.

Tried for the first time went in on had off chance!! It was very busy, seated straight away order taken, service, quality everything perfect, I was so impressed the quality and quantity of the food was excellent, would Deffo give wagamama a run for its money but much less expensive, canford wait you go back

So many options and lovely members of staff who will recognize you and most likely memorize your options. The food and service is always speedy but delicious and full of flavour and aromas. I love their Pad Thai (one of my favourite dishes ever), perfect mix of each ingredient from the tamarind sauce to the shallots and beansprouts, plump prawns/shrimp too! I've had the katzu curry and also had the duck- in additon to all appetizers. Would always recommend. Great portion sizes too. :)

Now called 'Wei Da'. Walked into an empty restaurant with my 9 year old daughter. The waitress went off looking for a table ( in a empty restaurant). I could see that there were no reservations, so left puzzled as to why she could not find a table. Eventually she points at a table and says that we can have a table as long as we finish quickly. Was not prepared to rush a meal. Food may be excellent, but with disgusting customer service counts for nothing. On the plus side found Anna's down the road which was quite the opposite!

We popped in for a late lunch, and had an excellent meal. My husband had the best meat soup he has ever had and I had prawn in black bean sauce which was delicious. The restaurant was clean and our meals were served within 5 mins of ordering and came piping hot. Service was attentive despite being just the two of us in the restaurant. Can't wait to visit again, you won't be disappointed :)

Visited here for a quick lunch with my partner who works around the corner. The layout and ethos is similar to Wagamammas. The food is fresh, tasty and authentic. If you love noodles then this is the place for you! The menu has a good selection of dishes including noodles, rice, dim sum and lots of side dishes such as gyoza, squid, wingand Edamame. I ordered Singapore noodles, which I really enjoyed especially as it was on the spicy side and Gyoza dumplings with I love and they did not disappoint partner was very happy with his meal too. The prices are average for this type of cuisine and the portions plentiful. Service was friendly and quick and ideal for a quick lunch/dinner. Would highly recommend.

I'll be upfront about this place. Having worked locally for 9 years, this was the venue for a weekly lunch treat. In our better days there would be 10 to 12 of us and we were always served quickly and efficiently. You have to accept that when it's ready it comes out! Latterly I was a saddo on my own, but it's now my favourite place to meet former Croydon colleagues. I have never had a dsappointing meal yet.

Surprised by the excellent reviews actually. It was just ok, IMHO. A noodle bar which does everything oriental is perhaps the giveaway! My miso soup was fine; vegetable gyoza were full of some awful puréed goop; and the mixed meat/prawns with steamed rice at least did what it said on the tin, though the bland gravy and copious amounts of limp cabbage made the overall effect rather disappointing. Service was friendly, but all served in about 5 seconds flat, which made me doubtful that much tender-loving preparation had gone on! I suppose I'd try here again in case there's anything on the menu they do better, but won't be rushing back.

Have visited twice now with a friend for lunch, both times had really quick service - around 5 minutes from order to our dishes being delivered! Piping hot and obviously cooked to order :-)Prices are very reasonable considering the portion size is above average - please go hungry!Atmosphere is quite relaxed and you dont feel under pressure as they want to turn your table!1 min walk from East Croydon station / Tram stop - enroute to the shopping areas of Croydon if you want lunch on the way in or an early dinner on the way back!Would i return - yes, absolutely!

Formerly The Miso Noodle Bar and under the same management and Company. The Menu is more varied and the prices are more or less the same. There is a lunchtime Menu for £6.95 which includes a soft drink. (Which is just as well, as they cost £2.40 each otherwise !) Had a chicken curry with boiled rice from the lunchtime menu.. The portions were quite generous and the taste was authentic Chinese (rather than Indian). Staff were bubbly and helpful and friendly. A good start. Thanks to Wei and Nannan the waitress. The place was half full but was getting busier,

It is above average but not quite very good. The food was really tasty. Quite like wagamamas The atmosphere needed something though. It just felt not slick enough. If the prices were a bit cheaper then it would have been fine but for the prices it needs more attention

We had seen this restaurant recently, which we think had been redecorated. The restaurant itself was very clean, and spacious. The staff were also very polite and accomodating, prices good, and the food wasn't too bad. But my chicken satay was tough, and all the non edible items (shards of lemongrass, curry leaves etc) had been left in my dish. However, we won't be eating here again as the music was TOTALLY inappropriate - more suited to a nightclub. Also when we WANTED to pay the bill ALL the staff had sat down at the other end of the restaurant and were obviously eating their evening meal together. This left nobody at the bar & no staff available in the restaurant - we waited about 15 mins before somebody appeared. There are plenty of similar places in Croydon, so maybe thats why there was only one other couple dining. So we will vote with our feet !!!

Visited with my two teenage daughters and was greeted warmly. Ordered our meals which were all brought out separately the whole idea of a family meal is to eat togther.I ordered the pad thai which was the worst meal iv ever tasted ANYWHERE. noodles in sweet and sour sauce it was horrendous, waiter collected the uneaten plate and didnt bat an eyelid.My daughter's meals were ok not great just ok. Wont be returning.

This is an easy to get to smallish restaurant in Croydon by the flyover (10 minutes walk from East or West Croydon stations). I have been there with friends for lunches on several occasions over the past three years. It is a good place to go for value for money, a good choice of food, and which serves good portions. The service is fast and friendly and the restaurant is clean and airy. Well worth a quick visit for anyone seeking to try out some basic noodle food and slightly more adventurous dishes.

Me and my girlfriend go to miso noodle bar a lot for lunch, the service is always good and the food is alway great. Alway nice and quite there and they staff are always really nice and polite. It's also cheap Great food great service and great price

Me and my now wife came here about 10 yrs ago and have been coming back ever since, our daughter has been coming here since she was a baby she is now 7 years old, I love the mandarin fillet beef, and the sweet & sour chicken, which are my favourite, my wife likes the different type of noodles (eg soba udon & rice noodles, We will keep coming here for as long as they stay open,Well worth a try, you never know you may keep coming back

I came here with my family In December and was surprised with how good the food really was. Good value for money, excellent servicee. I was so pleased with the experience that we went back the next week. Will be returning again soon :)

I ordered here after being recommended by my friend. I ordered the Singapore noodle dish and a few starters and the starters were delicious. The noodles were not that great unfortunately but I'd definitely try something else next time.

This little place was around the corner from our hotel so we had dinner. I had never been to a miso bar before and it was a pleasant surprise. The ribs here were very tasty with the little peppers. My daughter and I had dinner here twice while we were in England. This was a quick nonexpensive meal. I'd recommended it.

I haven't been into a miso before- we popped in here for a quick dinner, the staff were great explained the menu, gave our food to us very quickly and offered for us to take the extra home. It was late so there was only one other table being used - but would go again and hope other miso's are to the same standard.

I heard about this restaurant from my friend ,he highly recommended this resturant to me so i tried this last week with my family and i would say all the dishes that we have tried were so delicious infact finger licking dishes ,i tried KATSU CURRY and SESAME PRAWN TOAST which was so amazing ,the staff and enviroment is really good,well i like each and every thing about this restaurant i will recommend this to everyone.:)))))))

I visited Miso few days ago and I would say that the food I had was fabulous the staff was very friendly as well ,I would highly recommend this Chinese restaurant to everyone . Really worth to spend money here.

My parents regularly order takeout from this place, usually the service is up to par but the last time they took 2 hours to deliver after forgetting about their order. When it arrived it was cold and they were extremely reluctant to reduce the price or offer anything for free. Not only this, I visited this branch during lunch with my friend, the price of the food was ok but they asked us whether we want our starters and main all together and after we said no they continued to ask. It felt as if they had already cooked it earlier (tasted like it as well) and were pestering us to get it out. After finishing my starter, they took away my plate while brining the main. I asked if I could have a knife and fork as you'd expect from a restaurant but they only wanted to give me the fork I just used back and no knife... The taps in the toilet aren't generous with water and the whole restaurant and staff just feel like they're very cheap. Won't be going or ordering again.

Went there a few days ago because I heard good things from a friend and she was right! It was excellent!! The dim sums were 10/10 and the main dish was finger licking delicious and very filling. Totally worth what you pay! Though the restaurant seemed busy, the staffs didn't fail to give good service either. An excellent first impression! No doubt I'll go again! Definitely recommend this place to everyone!

Went for lunch, and tried this branch of miso as usually use the East Croydon branch. We had a lovely lunch, food was all cooked fresh to order and great tasting. Service was very good and quick which was good, as went during lunch break.Thoroughly enjoyed the lunch and will be back again soon.

I have visited several Misos. A few weeks ago I had a lovely meal at the East Croydon branch, the food was great and the staff friendly and attentive. I visited the Croydon High Street branch last Saturday and it was a total let down. Firstly the staff were just un-attentive, We walked in at 7:30 and the only other patrons were a table for four. Despite there being four waiting staff, we waited over 3 minutes and no menus appeared, I had to collect them myself. We noticed other customers who came in after us, had to demand their orders to be taken. The waitress who served us, meant well but she was not particularly competent, she forgot our drinks orders and when I had an issue with the food, see next paragraph her English was so poor, I had to ask another member of staff.We ordered exactly the same food as we did a few weeks earlier at the East Croydon branch. Two of the side dishes: prawn dumplings and chicken wings were fine. However my main issue was the duck soba noodles - the noodles were egg noodles rather than soba noodles (different to what I was served at the other branch, when I queried the staff insisted soba noodles are egg noodles - utter rubbish in my opinion and different to what they served at the other branch. My partner ordered a lo mein dish and actually received soba noodles - they were actually nice, but not what she was served at the other branch.I am of Chinese origin and the whole point of coming to a Japanese restaurant is to have Japanese food and not Chinese food.I will give the East Croydon branch another try and explain to them my dissatisfaction of their sister branch

Ordered a takeaway at 7.30 this evening . Takeaway had still not arrived after one and half hours rang them to see how much longer said it was on it's way without even asking what address it was . Then waited another half an hour as promised still no takeaway . Rang again said they had lost our order but we had already paid ...said to them we wanted a refund they said food was on way ! We said well do we get a side dish free for such a long wait they said yes . Half an hour later our takeaway was delivered . Looked like noodle slop with loads of sweet n sour sauce poured over absolutely disgusting and was cold no apology no manners and they couldn't care less that we wAited so long and gave us 1 dumplin as a free side absolute pisstakers ..

The food here is nice enough but overpriced, I had a starter of Chicken wings which were deep fried and unfortunately very greasy, Duck and rice which was pleasant but nothing special and a small beer for about £15. Nice enough but there are far better dining options close by for far less which probably explains why it is consistently nearly empty.

We visited only once and the food was not that very much like Thai food. Quantities were very good and the staff were not that friendly. We didn't get value for money.

A couple of weeks ago I visited this restaurant with a friend. I’m vegan for allergy reasons and I chose this restaurant as they have many veggie options suitable for me.I was looking forward to my stir fried vegetables with rice when the waiter asked me if I was vegetarian. When I said I was vegan, he told me – and I quote –: “I am afraid there is nothing you can eat here then”. I asked surprised what was wrong with the plain vegetables and rice, and he said that “all veggie dishes where cooked in the same wok as the duck”. WTH?? Not only they are not vegan, they are not even vegetarian!I was surprised they had gotten away with it so far as there are many people like me who choose veggie options for allergy reasons. Keep that in mind next time you visit the place.

Had the Singapore noodles - so good and fresh - and voluminous. Great value for money.But the waiter was a miserable individual who could hardly speak English.Shame

Tasty, good food, in generous portions, served by friendly staff and bargain prices. Not a lot of ambiance, but, if you want a good fill-up, this is the place.

This was a horrible experience for me and a complete waste of money. The broccoli was undercooked, had probably been cooked for 2 minutes or so, it was too hard and tasted raw. To make it worse, when main course came out, the tofu tasted sour, which is typical once tofu has gone bad. It was disgusting, I cannot believe how they can serve undercooked veg and food that has gone bad. Don't waste your money and go there. Some meals can be nice if you are lucky but this place is nothing consistent, don't disappoint yourself. They are very irresponsible people and should not be allowed to serve food!!

Ever since my first visit last December, I love Miso. In Holland we don’t have restaurants like this, where the food is great and the prices are low. The service is super fast and super friendly. The restaurant is clean. Last week (first week of May) we ate 3 times at Miso, so it was now surprise that the staff recognised us. The like to have a small talk and a laugh.The won ton soup is really good, wish I could take it home. Instead we took some seaweed home, because it is so good. In Holland we don’t have seaweed like that. Wish I know how to make it/ where to buy it. Really a good place if you like good food but don’t need something fancy.

Recently we visited miso noodle bar on the high street branch.Food was really nice as usual. new dish on the chef'sSpecial menu is attractive. Then tried coconut butter prawn was superb. Salt&pepper asparagus and fine bean was really tasty. They also do the nice and freshly squeeze water melon juice. After all we had banana fritter with ice cream which is so nice as well. Couldn't wait to come back again.

Having lived in Croydon for many years we used to use miso a lot and both the restaurant and the take away.The portion size is massive and recommend the Szechuan chicken as well as the chicken satay and Malaysian chicken.Very tasty and been a long time since I are there and it hasn't changed

This particular Miso is the most efficient I have ever been in. I went in at lunch time and ordered the £10 special. The pork dumplings were one of the nicest things I have ever eaten. The food came out within 5 minutes and was at a high standard (tasted fresh). If you ever want a quick really nice meal I'd recommend this Miso.

I orderd sweet and sour chicken basic dish and it came looking hot i could even see food steam. But the food was cold in the middle. My partners food was fine.. They dont accept criticism here. As soon as you you mention a complaint they pretend to not understand English. I wont go back to Miso.

Went here with group of mates from work. We were bunched onto a table and it was not very comfortable. The people in the middle had to sit in between the gaps in the benches. They did not have a wide range of drinks so I just ordered tap water. For my food I had prawn tempura, which was as expected and I ordered the chicken satay for main which was a very decent size. I could not even finish the meal. The food was tasty but the place hasn't got much atmosphere to it. I found the food tastier than Wagamamas. Price wise it was worth it also.

I went to lunch at Miso as I have done on numerous occasions. I ordered noodles, peppers and Tiger Prawns.The meal came out piping hot (or so it would appear) and as I tucked in to the food I tasted the odd COLD pepper. I didnt think anything of this until I bit into a COLD prawn. I immediately brought this to the waiters attention. He didnt touch the cold food but suggested the food is never cold and how dare I suggest such a thing. I told him to try it but he refused. He then took the half eaten plate of food back to the kitchen and brought out a hot version several minutes later.On going to pay I said I'm not paying full price for cold food. Once again they refused to believe that the food could possibly be cold and DEMANDED full payment. They didnt even care that I said I've eaten there many times and would never return !!!Bang goes another customer.

The food was really awful. Oily and bland. The only flavour came from bottled sauce. I'd rather buy a ready meal.

It is not actually a Japanese restaurant despite the name. It much closer to a fusion of the best of Chinese and Japanese food. Noodle soup with roast duck, even that is Cantonese. Either way the food is fresh and very tasty and the staff are very pleasant. You will not be disappointed. Around £7 a dish, or £11 for a set menu of starter,main and drink.

A pricier alternative to a lunchtime sandwich but worth the price. The rice and the green thai curry and just somethingelse!

If you are looking for good Wagamammas alternative this is pretty decent. Dishes were well portioned and cheaper then the above mentioned place.

Had wonderful lunch at here. The deep fried king prawns.chargrilled chicken wings are so delicious. Prawn curry lomen is so spicy for me.but so tastey.a lots of nice beers on the list.service are so friendly.staff always have smiles on the face.lovely place.nice and clean.could not wait to return when I am working next week

Food quality was excellent, particularly the baked ribs and the wun ton soup.Only downside was the high price of a bottle of beer.

Wagamamma without the self-conscious quirkiness and showing off, quick Japanese noodle and rice based cooking ( plus some Dim Sum) in excellent variety and at really good value prices plus cheerful service and a clean, friendly atmosphere.

Had crab starter-very nice perfectly tempura battered and cooked and the delicate flavour of the crab had been preserved. Char Sui noddles pretty good too although slightly 'corn floury' there is enough for two so good to share. Mixed juice nice, they have watermelonmjuice when avaialable but unfortunately not on my visit. Banana fritters with ice cream also perfectly cooked although expected some kind of twist as bog standard and ice cream not great but still enjoyable. Service was functional, efficient and reasonably friendly but absolutely no other interest shown to the diner. Came to £22 with a small tip and a second juice and left felling full. Worth a try.

This was a Birthday dinner at a venue I never expected to provide a good meal.But I thought it first class,by having eight diners at the long table we could have order up to 13 different items.I could not fault what I tasted and being no expert on Dim Sum could not say what could have better done, perhaps the dipping sauces were marginally more bland than they needed to be. The service was excellent combining at tentativeness without being pushy and both politeness and tolerance.The premises on the corner of High St & Edridge Rd,appeared spotless outside & inside and simply decorated. The Shanghai dumpling are the best I have ever tasted. They full of soup. I would readily recommend this restaurant to anyone!

Miso has a wide range of chicken & prawns and choices for vegetarians by Japanese food. The name of the chain means "soybean soup".My favorite dishes was dim sum ,tofu & yasai gyoza .my oh went for prawn's noodle stir fry,he can't recall the name,it was fantastic! The service was high standard, it's breezy with the staff bring helpful whenever they can.

I have been to Miso in South end ,Croydon. Loved it.This afternoon went there with a friend and her two children - it was a different experience to other Miso. The staff here was attentive, helpful and also very funny. So the food having always been good, with quite a few veggie options - this time the service made all the difference. We were made to feel like special customers and not just annoying people. Mind you, it was afternoon and it wasn't busy. we all sure enjoyed it this afternoon.
