They give you six pieces of meat with your curry, you literally get more in a microwave meal from tescos.

Shocking service.. delivery driver couldn’t work out how to deliver food and then told me not to order again..

Normally love this place but today the food was barely warm when it arrived and tasted flavourless very disappointed

We have been ordering from this place since some time & absolutely love the food. But today there was less salt in all 3 bhajis & was bland, Poppadum was also missing in the order.

Not sure why people knock this place. Great Food & Prices. I use the place all the time.

Food was late and cold. Something, either the curry or rice was very watery and ruined the meal. Kebab roll and a decent taste although it was cold too. Wish I read the reviews before wasting my money.

I ordered from this restaurant first time,Literally I will not order again from this restaurant. I ordered qeema Naan which has only 1% qeema and the naan is too flat and tasteless,Second I ordered fries for my kids and these fries looked out of date because of the smell coming out from the fries is rotten, Thirdly I ordered kebab roll which has just one kabab in it and it is all filled with lettuce,so tasteless rol. I tried this restaurant because of review but this rating looks wrong 😕

Asked how the food was when it hadn't been delivered then had to call ,to follow up.

Hi, the food was hot and on time.but the Lamb curry I have to say that the Lamb itself was very tough with bits of grissle in it.quite fatty on other bits.I won’t order it again until the quality of the meat improves.the rest was fine. I will rethink about what I order next time. I keep ordering from because I love the food and the service, don’t make me look for somewhere else to order from please.

The madras isn’t good I won’t ordering again.

Never even got my food. Placed the order before they opened for the earliest delivery available. They accepted the order upon opening. I provided all the details as to how to find the property and my phone number, too. The restaurant missed the delivery slot by over 20 minutes now, at the time of leaving this review - the food is still not here, and hasn't even left the restaurant going by JustEat's own tracker. It just went from "Order accepted" to "Enjoy your food". Nothing in-between, no “On its way” or anything of sorts, as it usually does, indicating the food is actually being sent to me. JustEat's system attempted to get updates from the restaurant for 10 min approx, from 5:55PM the restaurant initially declared as estimate delivery time, to 6:05PM, all to no avail. Restaurant is not picking up, text message requests for updates are not being returned, nobody called me asking for help with finding the place. At this point I don't think it will arrive anymore, so I will have to ask Just Eat for a refund due to complete non-delivery. First time ordering here and definitely the last one. Even if it somehow arrives this leaves a very sour taste and is extremely disappointing.

We ordered Lamb Rogan, rice, samosa and onion bhaji. Food arrived early, was hot and tasty. The children loved it.

Food was tasty only thing is I ordered the lamb chops they rang me and said there was no more lamb chops they had a alternative lamb fillets I agreed they also said they throw in a free garlic naan come to my surprise I never got no lamb fillets it was a curry with like 5 tiny lamb pieces with big onions In bulb form I requested a refund as lamb chops was 10.99 not paying for they crazy

Unfortunately it wasn’t as nice as the last time. Wasn’t very hot, sauce was watery. And to much garlic. The mint sauce smelled and tasted off and couldn’t be eaten. The onion baji were very nice.

Great delivery time. Food is excellent. Veg pakora maybe doesn’t get my vote but the onion bhaji is excellent. Chicken jalfrezzi could have a little more sauce, but the flavour was outstanding.

Quality of food was very poor especially with my chicken tikka starter - over cooked and hard and garnish. Quality has definitely gone down.

I ordered the same as I had before but it was a totally different experience for me. The dishes must’ve been cooked by a different chef even the mushroom rice wasn’t great- sad as. Was really looking forward to it

Wrong food was given to me. It was when I was throwing it away that I saw the order and paid stub for a different order. Mine was 20.39 pounds one given to me was for 15 pounds. I asked for 2 rice but saw one rice and one potato

I got the email saying it would arrive at 6.25.pm and it arrived at 6.50pm this is the first time it was Late. I did ask for a New Menu to be sent out with the meal and I didn’t get 1 New Menu, please send one out with my next order. Just so I can keep an eye on prices. I look forward to placing my next order in with you. The chap who delivered my food came in a car as well, that is why I was shocked that it was Late. I really can’t fault the food. First time using this restaurant very disappointed korma was watery rice had lumps in it the non-bread was burnt and couldn’t even pull it apart like rubber got to say the starter which was prawn cocktail was amazing the onion salad was just a bag of chopped onions with bits a carrot in it very disappointing I did ring up the restaurant which they did send a new korma and a new bread but when I arrived an hour and a half later it was cold which I had to warm up in the microwave and yet the korma was still watery and no taste very bland the bread was damp where it was sweating in the bag sorry but will not be ordering ever again

Chicken in korma was a little dry. not impressed with the naan bread, it was put of the bag for a few minutes & it went dry & hard. Biryani, korma sauce, & saag aloo was lovely

I never received chicken jalfrezi and saag rice and saag aloo tasted like it was expired and out of date. Very poor service and quality from The Jalalis

Didn't taste good at all. Madras was a strange colour and lacked flavour, the onion baji was in pieces and wet instead of crispy. Won't order here again as it was quite expensive for poor quality

Food arrived and was cold and didn’t have any real flavour to it, the rice was wet and the bread was hard.

I have honestly tried to find fault with the food or service and cannot find a single one. The food is tasty doesn't make me tired and tastes great the day after! The food is so good, comforting and authentic.

Slightly disappointed in the onion bhajis, which had too little spice and were a little undercooked. Mains were ok, but a little salty. Also missing the usual free poppadoms, for an order over £25. So will probably try somewhere else next time

The delivery was early and the food was very tasty. The curry was very delicious, I normally like chicken Korma but this time I tried the Balti Lamb and I didn't regret it. Good portion and really well made. The Bombay Alloo was a bonus.

First time ordering from here. The food was lovely, although it didn’t arrive by the set time it was no inconvenience so worth the wait. Portion sizes are generous. Food arrived hot. Will order again.

Allahummabarak food was TOPS! A*****! If I could give this a 6 stars rating I would. I collected the food and was piping hot, their biryani and dhaal especially never fails to surprise me, best dhaal I’ve ever had. I also ordered some butter chicken, korma, the jalalis special and one of their prawn dishes, everything was bursting of flavour, and you could taste the uniqueness in every dish, food was fresh and cooked in the time I desired, would definitely order again, thank you.

I did not rate full score only because of the portion size as it wasn't a decent but I have ordered before and this is their 1st time reducing the portion (will give them another change, maybe it was a one off but if they do it again probably I won't order again there, I'm afraid). However, the lamb Biryani was delicious as usual!

Ordered food from this takeaway only to find a one inch screw in my tandoori roti. I’ve taken pictures and reported the incident to food hygiene standard. I might add he was very nonchalant about the incident and didn’t seem particularly worried or bothered about my complaint, I was offered another meal but refused. He did send his driver back with a full refund and the driver took pictures of the item found in my food.

poor food had the rice covered in water the curry was waterey and i ordered a duck something smelt like gone off fish not happy and it wa sfish i didnt get the order i want ted

The delivery driver got a puncture and had to wait for another driver to take the food to us.

We always order mild but both dishes were bland and tasteless.

The food was disappointing. The mixed biryani was good but the vegetable curry with it mediocre. The Prawn and mushroom dish was again at best mediocre. First time trying this takeaway. I will not use them again

Everything we ordered lacked flavour. Both curries were bland the the sauce was watery. The rice was nice. The onion Bhajis tasted like undercooked flavourless balls of deep fried cornflour with the exception of a few stands of onion. The only thing decent about the meal was the Peshwari naan but even that was almost like someone had dropped it and all the coconut had fallen out. Must be running on new customers because I can’t see how anyone would order twice

We ordered the chicken tikka masala and the sauce came with curdled white lumps in it. Didn’t want to eat it so two dishes went straight in the bin. Very poor quality food. Won’t ever be ordering again.

This time the food was not as good popadoms all broken Chicken korma boxes were crushed and spilt all over the other boxes in the bag. I did ask for the onion bhaji to be made smaller so 8 small ones instead of 4 BIG ones. Sorry guys not good this time.

The beet Indian take away in South Croydon and reasonably priced along with it, even my young fussy eater nieces approve!

First order and never again. One item missing, they won't deliver it. I had to go back for it and they gave me (uuh) two poppadoms for free. Food is average. Basic tomato base and no flavour, maybe they run out of spices. This is what I get for ordering local (my favourite Indian takeaway is in West Croydon!) Edit: their leaflet is full of lies. -5 star hygiene rating: no, you have 4. It's in the cover of your leaflet. -Takeaway of the year by The Guardian in 2007: by the Croydon Guardian, you mean. It's also in your cover. -Chef has been voted Chef of the Year at the Guardian restaurant awards: well, no, highly commended at the Curry Chef of the year competition by Croydon Council's EH department. It's at the bottom of the page 🤦

Order placed at 5:33. Estimated delivery time 6:40-7:00. Called the restaurant at 7:12 after delivery was late. Restaurant apologised but only after calling said the driver will be on his way. Food was delivered at 7:20, but restaurant reported on the site it was delivered at 6:45. Very bad service, and on top of that - blatant lying.

I ordered for 6pm when confirmed they estimated delivery at 6.30pm, but arrived at 6.45. The food was really lovely but disappointing that it was almost cold so I had to heat everything up.

Amazing freshly cooked food, so very tasty. Brilliant friendly service from placing the order to the delivery guy. Will definitely order again!

Ordered as soon as they opened at 5pm, the guy said the food would arrive around 6pm, I thought an hour was a bit long but I accepted it. At 6.30 I called back when nothing had arrived, the same guy said, the driver is leaving in 5 minutes… you mean he hasn’t left yet with my food? The guy said, he’ll check. Nobody called me back so at 6.55 I called again, I told him this was not acceptable customer service. While he was on the phone, the food arrived, 2 hours after I’d put the order in. Apparently, the driver had other people’s food to drop off before mine, despite my being the first customer they spoke to. In the end, they gave me £2 off my order. The food was cold and as I’d ordered over £25 worth of food, their own leaflet said they would give you an onion bhajee and Bombay aloo for free, that was not there of course. I would never order from them again and would never recommend them. The service is shocking, I waited 2 hours and of course, the food was cold. One of the worst delivery experiences I’ve ever had.
