Order arrived wrong and beef was tough and tasteless like supermarket cold sandwich beef and pho was bland even with chilli oil. However the main issue was poor service which disputed wrong order, refused to rectify it and my partner feeling uncomfortable said its OK even though it wasn't. If the waitress doesn't want to work in service industry then leave. And to the company stop charging customers cash only before they eat. You are either doing it to avoid poor service issues or tax avoidance and neither is ok. The food wad so poor and bland it was first time I did not finish meal

To be honest, I am not a fan of Vietnamese food because Hongkongized Vietnamese food has put me off it especially the cloyingly sweet broths which are a recipe for disaster but loved by the locals there. Anyway, went to Viet2go for pho which was recommended by someone as they said the broth was very hydrating. Ordered two pho noodles, one was Tofu and the other was Rare Beef where both broths are the same. The beef was surprisingly good and I liked the way they were thinly sliced. The tofu was to my liking as it was lightly fried on the outside. However the star of the show was the BBQ pork Bahn Cuon, again the bbq pork was thinly sliced like bacon with the belly cut which was enjoyable as it was not too dry or tough. The bahn cuon had this lovely thin and elastic texture so as a whole it was so tasty with the crispy garlic and shallot toppings. Also had the summer roll but I thought they were a bit plain as it was like 20% avocado and pork and the rest was noodle and salad.

I’ve had my eye on this place for a while and finally decided to get a takeaway this past weekend. I chose some prawn summer rolls and a veg spring roll salad. Both came to £15 which is a lot (plus delivery charges of course). The food was fresh but everything was bland. The summer rolls were nothing special and the spring rolls were not what I expected. I’ve had Vietnamese rolls before and they were nothing like these. There were soy and peanut sauces provided with my items but they did not help to liven anything up. The peanut sauce was also very underwhelming in flavour. The salad was just a few sliced bits of veg and plain, boiled noodles. I would not order from here again.

This is somewhere I'd wanted to try for a while. We arrived to an empty cafe, nice simple set up and big windows looking out on to the street. Radio playing in background was a mild irritation. We picked a table then my friend popped off to the loo while I sat down. The waitress called to me from the counter about 20 seconds later to ask if I was ready to order. Seemed odd as one of us was absent and I'd barely shed my coat nor had time to look at the seemingly non-existent menu. I pointed out that there were no menus and she indicated that they were on the counter. Why not on the table? No idea. OK, not scoring so high for service - something this place needs to look at. Having got the menus, I was intrigued to try the bubble tea. This was fine but came served in disposable plastic containers (with plastic straw). Surely a conventional mug or cup could be provided? Main course, chosen from the thankfully short and simple menu, was the Prawn Pancake and Fish Tomato Stew Rice. I can report that both were pretty good and chef evidently knows what they are doing. A second annoyance was disposable chopsticks. Would it be so hard to have proper ones and avoid the waste? Would I go again? Actually yes. Despite the irritations the food is decent and the place is good value.

I’m surprised how good quality, fresh and huge portions I had in this place. Nice that it’s a vegetarian/vegan option for all kinds of meals in the menu. I had a spring rolls with avocado and tofu (delicious and bigger than I expected) and vegetarian Pho soup - deep flavour, fresh ingredients - I’m very satisfied after this meal. I will be there soon to check more!

We often eat in this little cafe in Surrey Street Market. Love their noodle soups and the most beef stew is so tasty. Excellent value and thoroughly recommended.

Great food, reasonably priced. Provided quickly, the place is always packed at lunch as it's popular and a healthy option. The guy behind the counter is playing games on his phone most of the time, must be bored. He's friendly and helpful though.

So I love it here. Food is great. Freshly cooked, and all veggie options are vegan here... I try to eat here where possible. I am not even mad at the Cash Only policy.

I've been here quite a few times, the food is good. The pho is definitely not authentic and the spring rolls aren't that great. However i do enjoy the mixed meat banh mi and the noodle salad with the spicy pork. Don't forget to order the bubble tea, it's great! The guy at the counter should smile a but more and be a little friendlier. It doesn't seem that he wants to be there.

You have to remember that in essence this place is a cafe on the market it Croydon. Its quite small inside with about 20 seats. Fairly small menu and counter service. I ordered the chicken summer rolls and the pork Vietnamese salad. The salad was better than the summer rolls. I felt that the wrapping on the summer rolls was too chewy. The salad was pretty good but im not sure the ratio of noodles to other ingredients was quite right. Vietnamese tea was good. Im not saying its rubbish ive just had better but only in central London.

I was taken to this delightful little place one lunch time with a valued friend of mine , and it was for a birthday treat for her. Its really lovely , we had a bowl of noodle soup, she had the chicken , and i had the prawn, and it was absolutely delightful. Its a very large bowl of soup for about £5.00 and the drinks are around £3.00. they are slightly dearer for what they are. The noodle soups are really tasty, and if you cant finish it all, you get a large cup to take it home. its very small ,but well worth a lunch pop in. I will certainly visit again ,

We decided to dine at Selsdon spice for my sister’s birthday with a moderately sized party. We were served drinks as soon as we arrived and found the service to be very good. The food arrived in good time from when we placed the order and I have to say my lamb madras was one of the best I’ve ever tasted. Very flavourful and a perfect thickness of sauce. Everyone really enjoyed their food and we will definitely be going back in the near future.

I forgot to take pictures during this meal and only took pictures of the bubble milk tea, but the overall dining experience is still worth recording. This Taiwanese restaurant has a small storefront, so it’s easy to miss it if you don’t pay special attention, especially in this densely populated area with many dining options. However, this restaurant is the only Taiwanese restaurant in the area. It is a one-man business to a certain extent. Therefore, even though the space is limited, it still attracts many customers to visit. Since there are not many seats in the store, it is recommended to book a table in advance to avoid waiting for a long time. This time I came here from Sutton for lunch on a weekday, mainly because the store provides a member lunch set, which includes a cup of bubble milk tea. Compared with a la carte, the price/performance ratio is quite high. This set meal combination not only gives people the opportunity to taste the special dishes in the store, but also enjoy a cup of pearl milk tea. However, the performance of the pearl milk tea is quite satisfactory. The tea flavor is not strong enough and the taste is ordinary. The Q-bounciness of the pearls is not bad, but the overall performance is not particularly amazing. I will not miss it after drinking it once. If you come specifically for the bubble milk tea, you may feel a little disappointed, but if it comes with food, it is still an acceptable choice. This time we ordered curry pork chop rice. The taste was very rich and smooth. The curry sauce was just right and had a slight spicy taste. It blended well with the golden and crispy pork chop. It was very appetizing. The taste of the rice was also quite good and overall the performance was stable. My friend ordered Lu Pork Rice, which tasted equally good. The marinade was full of aroma and had a strong Taiwanese home-cooked flavor. The moderately fat and lean braised pork tasted even better after being mixed with rice. In addition, I also ordered salted crispy chicken this time. It tasted crispy and delicious, and the outer skin was fried to a crispy texture. However, the seasoning was a little lacking. It tasted more like ordinary fried chicken, but not the aroma that Taiwanese salted crispy chicken should have. Although it was fried well and the chicken was quite tender, if some nine-layer pagoda aroma could be added or the seasoning level of pepper could be increased, it would have a more Taiwanese flavor. As for the famous beef noodles in the store, we didn’t order it this time, mainly because of the high price and considering that it might not be full enough, so we finally chose rice as our staple food. However, if I have a chance to come back next time, I might consider trying this signature dish to see if it’s really worth a return visit. Overall, although this Taiwanese restaurant has a small space, the food is of good quality. If you want to find authentic Taiwanese food in this area, this is a good choice. Although the price is on the high side, if you can choose the lunch set meal, the overall price/performance ratio will be more reasonable. If you are interested in Taiwanese food, it is recommended to book a table in advance to avoid being disappointed or having to wait.
