This was the first meal out I have had since the beginning of the pandemic. This place has a fairly large concrete garden area for dining and drinks. The staff here are very hard working, friendly and attentative. I ordered the satay chicken which was very good as was the satay sauce it comes with. The spare ribs were very flavourful, well cooked and were coated in a sticky soy glaze. The chicken garlic with peppers was particularly good. The coating was well seasoned, crispy yet delicate and the chicken itself incredibly tender. I also ordered a beef massamun curry with rice and noodles, all of which tasted great. Drinks were all served nice and cold. Can not fault this place at all and well done to them for providing such an exceptional experience.

We discovered this gem early this year and have been ordering takeaways from them. Yes, it is not 100% comparable to the Thai food (especially the papaya salad) that is sold on the streets of Thailand and BKK (we lived in Bangkok for a while) however it is understandable that they are perhaps having to target the tastebuds of the locals. Being in Croydon, I am grateful to have access to this restaurant. I especially miss the sweet tangy taste of a great papaya or mango salad which they get about 85% correct (not enough of that umami taste that I so love, perhaps they are holding back on the dried prawns? If so, don't! We love it!) OK so I am fixated on Thai salads. I cannot fault their curries, we've tried the red, green and massamam. Really happy that they have Tom Kha Gai, which is the Thai equivalent of chicken soup, great for the soul! Overall, compared to 99% of other Thai restaurants here they are one of the good ones. I highly recommend them.

Received our food through Uber Eats, and we noticed right away 1 order was missing. Not only that but when we opened the bag, the food was clearly from frozen packages (with plastic covers) that were just microwaved. Rice was also in a tiny bag and was mushy. They state “authentic Thai”.... 😂

Thought we would try here tonight for delivery, it was honestly one of the best Thai red curry’s I’ve had! Really fresh and just wanted another one as soon as I’d finished. My sister had the massaman and she’s said the same. Thank you, really good food :)

We ordered on deliveroo. For starters we got spring rolls, calamari and chicken wings, and prawn pad thai for mains. The starters were nothing special and will probably never order them again. But the pad thai was sooooo good! WIll definitely order from here again in the future!

My wife and I had a wonderful meal here. I had a lamb shank massam curry which was incredible. It's a chilled atmosphere, with great food and friendly service at a decent price. We will definitely be going back.

Couldn't get into nearby El Galicia on a busy Saturday night, so tried this place. It was pretty much empty. It had on odd feel - a DJ playing his 80s/90s music in an old pub which now services Thai food. Good music, but really I wanted a quite spot with my companion (which, to be fair, I wasn't going to get at the other place anyway). Overall, food was good value from friendly staff, but perhaps lacked a little finesse. For example the Pad Thai didn't come with dried shrimp or separate bean sprouts/spring onions to mix in. That said, it's a large menu and we only tried 4 dishes plus rice. I felt the portion of Yum Talay salad was rather small for £9.95 (+10%). The prawns were a generous size but squid/mussels tiny. A couple of gripes. The coffee was really bad. They seem to have a proper machine so don't know what went wrong. Also they automatically add 10% for service - although I don't like this practice, it's fair game if it's on the menu. But the menu does NOT say they will add a service charge. I would have added a tip anyway, so it's a pity they do this as it lost a little goodwill on my side for no benefit to them. £54 for a meal with two, including drinks but no desert. I felt what I paid was reasonable for what we had. I think there was a reference to "fusion" on signage, but I'd say this is 99% Thai. I would return, but somehow I think the DJ music/disco lights + thai food combo didn't quite work for me. I'd prefer a straight restaurant myself or a restaurant area sectioned off and quieter. Nearby Mae Ping was often full before it closed a few years back so I feel they deserve more customers.

We came here tonight having originally been planning to visit the Thai restaurant down the road that was closed and now I have to say I’m glad it was. Attentive staff, excellent food, generous portions and very reasonably priced. I hope word spreads about this gem as it does still appear to be a pub from the outside (don’t be put off by the exterior) but if you are looking for a great local Thai this hits the spot. Thoroughly recommend!

I’d been wanting to experience this restaurant for a while! I live locally and has tried their penang curry a couple of times as a takeaway but having my sister come to stay, I finally had a chance to experience eating in. It’s very small and cosy (I’m sure the table & chair right by the door is a fire hazard! 🙃) but it does have a nice warm and welcoming vibe. The waitress was lovely and the menu choices looked so good it was difficult to choose what to have. We ended up sharing the spring rolls & chicken gyoza to start, both were very very good! For mains, my sis had chicken pad Thai and I had prawns with ginger & spring onion. Both looked good but unfortunately we found both dishes to be strangely sweet. It was hard to describe but the sweetness ruined it a little for us which was a shame as we were very much looking forward to it. I will still try Siam town again, as I’m hoping it was just a one off? I really want to like this place so will definitely be giving it another go and trying some different dishes next time.

Curries were always good here when the restaurant was called Rice n Spice but since the change of name and menu the food is possibly even better with an eye on the fresh ingredients, herbs and spices. Now they definitely stand out from the crowd for exquisite flavours and excellence. I highly recommend a visit even if it is a bit off the beaten track, a really nice place to eat out with friends or a special occasion. Delicious.

ordered some food for collection, it was very quick and the waitress was very nice and friendly, despite the fact it was near 10pm! Food was so nice, definitely going to come back :)
