The best restaurants serving Asian food in Norwich East of England

Great food, very friendly staff, though somewhat deceptive. They all had a crafty look in their eyes which we found hard to ignore. Really enjoyed the toilet waiting area. The pork is brilliant but the chicken taco was not as brilliant. Highly recommend the steak dish. There were no squid rings available on the day, which was unfortunate because I was looking forward to catching up with my old friend Squidward. Lovely piano in the restaurant but sadly nobody was playing it. Instead we were treated to the melodic voice of the late king of Rock and Roll, Mister Elvis Presley (God rest his soul). Would go again. Cheers x

I recently visited The Kimchi in Norwich and had a mixed experience. We ordered Bibim Bap with mushrooms, KFC-style chilli rice, Mandoo dumplings, and Topokki. The biggest disappointment was the fried chicken in the KFC-style dish—it was raw and very chewy, making it almost impossible to eat. This was a major letdown, especially considering it's a dish that should be crispy and well-cooked. The Bibim Bap was okay but nothing special; it lacked the rich, bold flavors I was expecting. On the other hand, the Mandoo dumplings were decent, though quite mild in taste. The best dish of the night was the Topokki, which had a good texture and flavor. Overall, the experience was underwhelming, mainly due to the poorly cooked chicken. With some improvements, this place could offer a much better dining experience.

If you are looking for a proper family run chilled out dinner with personal service then this is the place. Do not expect fast cooked food with rubbish service - what you get here is totally authentic home-cooked food served by wonderful staff. Definitely book ahead so they can provide you with the best service. Enjoy

Excellent. We went for the freestyle sushi sharing platter for two (£80). I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of food! I really wasn't expecting this much high quality sushi for the price. I've never been totally stuffed on sushi before! Great quality, good value, and really friendly service.

I am so disappointed. Ordered collection , was given chicken instead of a vegetable makoni and I haven’t eaten meat in over 10 years…. Called up and they said they’ll send it soon.. half an hour goes by and I call again. They say give me 20 minutes and that I could have rice with my curry because everything was cold. An hour.. an hour later and I just get my food and guess what NO RICE! Called and he was unbothered and careless on the phone. £30 down the drain and I tipped! Never ever will I order from there again! Quite literally shaking with anger at how careless they were at giving me meat

I've been going here very occasionally for years now if I happen to be home late and not have time to cook. Food is good enough, staff are friendly, and I've never had to wait long at all - although I do usually only order 1 or 2 dishes per visit. Prices seem on par or very slightly cheaper than other options in area. No problems at all.

Most amazing Thai food I have had outside of Thailand! Weeping tiger was ridicously good. Great service from a mum and son team. Can't recommend it higher!

My family & I recently dined at wagamama's for a pre Christmas celebratory treat & get-together. The entire experience was utterly ruined by the overwhelming loud music being played which had a very fast tempo during the entire meal. It made us feel like we were in an eating race , it was absurd , deeply unrelaxing & unpleasant. I can't express enough how overpowering the music was , I've never experienced anything so blatant & obnoxious in any commercial environment to speed up our eating & clear the table for the next customers. Our meal was totally ruined by this intense use of music psychology & completely spoilt the ambiance. Such a shame as the service & food was good .
