The best restaurants in United Kingdom serving Asian food

Food was disappointing and did not taste nice. Everything was mediocre at best, just go to the thai restaurants in Newquay instead and don't bother with the chinese until they improve.

After reading a few reviews I was concerned about what to expect. I shouldn't have worried. Excellent meal including some very good starters, tandoori mixed grill, tarka dahl and prawn jalfrezi. Draught Cobra and a good choice of wine. Great service from a waiter - perhaps being trained. A thoroughly enjoyable meal.

We live local. Got a take away due to exhausted from work. Hardly any food, too costly and to top it off, absolutely no taste to the food!. The tandoori mixed grill was rubbish for £15.00. The silver trays were half empty. Honestly Go somewhere else! They even wrote down my address wrongly so food was cold when it arrived.

Have visited this restaurant twice this year now and can truly say the food is delicious. I recommend the gyozas, the Duck Bao buns and the Makku Sauvignon Blanc. Lovely atmosphere, great service, please try it.

We had a spur of the moment take away, and tried the Golden Lotus for the first time, but were very disappointed. We found it very bland, and I would say it's the first time we've ever found chinese take away boring! Sorry, won't be back!

I had a good experience. Huge menu including dosa, rice, noodles and more. Good place for those who follow a vegetarian diet. Clean. Like a canteen, diner, type place. The lady who served me was pleasant and friendly. I had the MYSORE MASALA DOSA which was a crepe coated inside with mysore chutney and stuffed with potato masala with a mango lassi. Both were delicious. Very filling and tasty. The lassi could have been a little colder but lovely otherwise. The dosa came with the usual condiments. Very reasonably priced. Would recommend.

we went there february, very bad experience. quite dirty and horrible service. i would not recommend this restaurant.

Do not eat here. Just had a meal here and service was appalling and slow! Walked through door and waitress asked if we wanted poppadoms to which we said yes. Didn't ask us if we wanted drinks. Waitress forgot about poppadoms and partner heard her say after 5 mins say "sorry I better tell them about the poppadoms". Drinks arrives whilst eating poppadoms. I then had to call manager over to order our mains as no waitress took our order. Food came after 20 minsl and waitress was unclear as to what we actually ordered (manager took our order). Started to eat our food and chicken didn't taste right. Told waitresses and asked to speak to manager (who was conveniently out on delivery). Manager was phoned and told us to pay x amount. We asked for menu to work out what we should pay for and waitresses were extremely rude. Paid money and left. Will not eat here again due to extremely poor food and customer service.

We stopped here as it was one of those nights where we just wanted to eat and couldn’t be bothered to think too much about it. You can choose from Rice or Noddles, a meat/soya and some veg. Add some sauce and that’s your meal. It’s about as good / bad as you make it really. Dr Noodles are quite generous with the noodles and veg, but the flavour is not going to win any awards. Tbh if you want quality rice / noodles then go to your local takeaway, however if you want a quick bite and don’t care what it tastes like, this place is for you.

Kolapata has amazing Bangladeshi food, connecting you to the culture of the Asian country. Food has wonderful taste and SPICE. The restaurant service is a little slow, yet manageable. Food doesn't cost much. The restaurant is hard to get to via public transport. A tip - their mix bhorta gives you a lot - making a great price-saver.

First visit here on Saturday night after seeing this restaurant.Not much to look at from outside however the inside is very lovely. All the staff were welcoming and friendly. I had Tandoori chicken and Puri, they were very delicious. Highly recommended.

My food order arrived early, delivery driver was really friendly, I did owe extra as my Hotel was nearly five miles away, but she let me off. Mixed starter very nice fresh and tasty, my Chicken madras was 5 star, naan popadoms excellent just a really nice tasty hot food experience really recommend.

Third time we visited, and we still love it. The food is amazing. Everything is good, especially the rotti. It's a gastropub, so a bit noisy.

Food was amazing and arrived really quick and super hot. Will definitely order again
