Cafe Dilshad in Flintshire

Do not eat here. Just had a meal here and service was appalling and slow! Walked through door and waitress asked if we wanted poppadoms to which we said yes. Didn't ask us if we wanted drinks. Waitress forgot about poppadoms and partner heard her say after 5 mins say "sorry I better tell them about the poppadoms". Drinks arrives whilst eating poppadoms. I then had to call manager over to order our mains as no waitress took our order. Food came after 20 minsl and waitress was unclear as to what we actually ordered (manager took our order). Started to eat our food and chicken didn't taste right. Told waitresses and asked to speak to manager (who was conveniently out on delivery). Manager was phoned and told us to pay x amount. We asked for menu to work out what we should pay for and waitresses were extremely rude. Paid money and left. Will not eat here again due to extremely poor food and customer service.

Waste of money (children was disgusting bland and untasteful ) the sauce was bland as well the whole chicken korma dish put me off even going there again, my gf had different. Very expensive !! Waste of money

I ordered a takeaway from this restaurant on May 9th and the food was around 45 mins late and cold when arrived. I phoned twice to see where my order was and was first told that the delivery driver was running late so another driver was called in to cover. I then rang back after a further 20 mins and was told the driver had been in an accident. I asked to speak to owner but was told he was unavailable. I then asked for a refund and was refused. I tried to get a refund through Food Hub but the restaurant has refused. I will never use this restaurant again as their customer service is appalling and I warn anyone else not to go there either. If I could give the review a 0 then I would.

Had a take away from my last night cost nearly £40 . The meat was chewy . The mint sauce was off and it smelled really bad. Had the exact same thing last week but the food was delicious and it was awesome missing stuff in my curry as if they just took it all together. Not happy and won't be going here again 😡😡😡

The dilshad has been in holywell for years the resturant looks nice and cosy with clean glasses and cutlery on the tables nice place to take your partner the food is good staff are pleasant. I'll be going again soon believe me. BRIAN from Flint

If I could give a zero I would Ordered a delivery last night 27th March 22 It was nearly an hour late. Food cold, missing items, wrong food! Was told that the driver was refusing to come out again to bring correct orders! Was also told he wasn’t there to speak to. Asked for him to call me when he got back. Next minute he was on the phone. He said that he wouldn’t give me a refund but when I told him I would be putting something on social media he soon changed his mind. Told me he wanted his food and containers back. Told him no problem but as food had been already plated that some stuff would be mixed up. He turned up within ten minutes. Nasty attitude with me. He actually went through the containers on my door step and tried to say that some of the food wasn’t from them! I felt really sorry for the young girl who was taking the phone orders. She seemed scared that she would get the blame. I told her she doesn’t deserve to be treated the way they treat her and to find another job. I have been going to this restaurant for years but never again!!! The bit of food myself and my son tried was disgusting!!!

Terrible, phoned through an order was told be 30 minutes, so went up after 30 mins then waited another hour in restaurant for it to be made, when I got home 5 mins later found our Chicken was so hard couldn't get a fork in in. Naan bread had 1 rasin and a mountain of crystallised sugar inside other Naan was just dough and all cold. When I phoned to see what had happened because normally a regular customer, the answer I got was we are busy and hung up on me, so called back again to see it accident did the same to me again.

Been a loyal customer of the Dilshad for years, the food I got yesterday was terrible, uncooked Bhajis, Peshwari naan with no coconut and just like dough, stale pappudoms! Called to let them know to be told ' there's nothing we can do, the boss is in Bangladesh'!

Ordered a takeaway meal never again Was overcharged had to ask twice about the price Poppadoms we’re disgusting tasted like months old cooking oil them! Overall just not a very nice meal disappointed!!!

Absolutely disgusting take away, I’v been a loyal customer for years of this place but the last delivery (july 2 2021) was cold, there were items missing and they had substituted the chicken with chewy fatty lamb both in the curry and chilli chicken stir fry, I ended up feeding it to the dog and will never be ordering again, they missed items off the order and I by the time they delivered the missing items, my meal was cold, spend your money elsewhere and appreciate the quality.

Arrived at the restaurant where me and my friends where the only people in the restaurant. We was greeted by a man who couldn’t speak much English and when we asked for some popadoms he couldn’t understand what we was asking for he then brung the popadoms after waiting 10 minutes for them, when they come they was stale, he then stood hovering round us which made us feel very uncomfortable. We then asked if we could order a drink one of my friends asked for a Diet Coke to where he then walked of without asking the rest of us presuming we all wanted the same. He then come out with plates that where dirty and we had to send them back 3 times for clean ones. He then brung the food out not knowing what any of it was called and nearly dropped a chapati on one of our heads. The service was very slow and when clearing the meal which we had to ask for also, he took my drink which was still half full. When the bill come they had added extra money on to items, when we asked for it to be checked and the man who said he owned the restaurant come over to us in a very rude manner telling us ‘humans make mistakes’ to which we replied we understand but we was just pointing it out and we wanted it changed as we was bei my overcharged, he carried on being rude, and took the bill returning saying ‘we have to pay £10 extra on the bill for moaning and it’s our own fault’ I told him I was not paying this to then he replied with a laugh and said ‘yes you are’ then left and went and sat in a car outside of the restaurant he come in 10 minutes later telling us to pay the bill and go. Which we did refusing to pay the bigger bill so paid the cheaper bill and left. As this was a meal out as we was on holiday it has ruined our experience and we will not be returning.

1st time I have ordered food from here and it will be my last, after spending over £43 on food £7 worth of food was missing, I rang up to complain about missing items and was spoken to by the rudest man ever, he told me that they were to busy to rectify it and if I couldn't come back and get the missing items which I couldn't there was nothing they could do, how about getting the order right 1st time

we visited by chance as we were holidaying and in search of Indian food. We ate in the restaurant which is lovely, clean and and has pretty lights. From the outside the restaurant doesn't look good because of all the blinds and curtains you can't see in so once inside was shocked by how nice it is. The food was the best indian food I have had for years. The chutney tray was so generous in terms of size and full of great flavoured fresh food. All the food was tasty and fresh. I had a mixed korma and my husband had a spicy South Indian dish. The food here is delicious and not over priced. Only comments for improvements are get rid of the blinds and show the place off. Also the diet coke tasted a little flat. Would one hundred percent eat there again.

We were regulars at this place, but since the management change, the food quality has taken a dive and isn’t up to the previous managements standard, being bland and you seem to receive whatever was already in the pot with some other stuff thrown in. Al ser un ventilador enorme de comida India que hemos ido a muchos restaurantes indios de todo el país. No hay restaurante llega cuando se trata de la provisión de alimentos. Este restaurante es el mejor restaurante indio en el que he estado, y probablemente uno de los mejores en el país.

This place is an absolute cracking curry house, wether eat in or take out, it is amazing fresh cooked food that doesn't compromise on taste, yes you may have to wait a little bit for it to be cooked but their moto is 'good food takes time to cook' and it is well worth it, definitely try and you WONT be disappointed!

Encantados con la comida del menú de cafetería dilshads infundiéndonos platos auténticos con numerosos platos de pescado. El primer plato de pescado era muy sabroso sin tikka el pescado desbordados por la especias. Bien presentado. Para un plato principal tenía cordero bhuna shashlick que era excelente. Esto fue complementado por vegetales pilau y una muy buena keema nan con queso. El servicio era un poco lento, pero con una calidad como esta, a quién le importa! El domingo actualmente hacer un menú especial de 3 platos del menú principal por £9.95 - excelente relación calidad-precio!

Después de empaparnos en mal tiempo, decidimos salir a comer. Búsqueda google nos ayudó a encontrar el restaurante indio más cercano. Increíble personal amable la comida. Muy limpio, muy impresionado con él. Aunque no hay aparcamiento fuera hay algunos a corta distancia. Y gratuito después de las 5 pm. Le recomiendo en el libro de huéspedes donde se aloja en Caeryws.

Llevamos 16 meses con nosotros y no podría haber sido más servicial. Tenían una silla alta en ningún momento plana y nos dio (sin cargo!) un pequeño plato de arroz y pollo picante. Toda la comida era buena; en particular, el nan peshwari era la mejor que he probado, y las verduras korma era perfectamente ricos, dulces y cremosos. Una sorprendente joya en el corazón de Flintshire. Vale la pena coger un desvío por si vas en coche por la autopista del norte de Gales.

Nos alojamos en Holywell un sábado por la noche y decidimos pasar un curry. Dos cosas nos impactó de la cafetería Dilshad, una clasificación de higiene de 1 y el restaurante estaba completamente vacío (inusual para un sábado), no es normalmente una buena señal. Sin embargo, el interior parecía limpio y ordenado, y había un montón de un a medida. El servicio era un poco lento. Pedimos 2 popadoms para empezar, 2 comidas principales, una Peshwari Nan y 2 coca-colas, ni entrantes, no arroz, no lados. Los popadoms llegamos, acompañada por una bandeja de 5 chutneys, entonces las 2 comidas y Nan Peshwari. El Peshwari Nan era muy espesa, comparado con lo que normalmente experiencia. Las comidas principales eran excelentes. Recomiendo el "Bombay Rajasthani". Una comida muy buena teniendo en cuenta nuestra evaluación inicial. Sin embargo, la factura era de 27 libras, la cual parecía bastante caro para lo poco que lo tenía. Dos popadoms eran casi £5!! Estamos acostumbrados a pagar menos de £1 cada una con chutneys gratuitas. Parece que pagar por la chutneys no ordenados, así que ten cuidado de este timo.

this Indian restaurant/takeaway is fantastic, the service is great the prices are reasonable. I came here with friends a couple of days ago and I ordered a chocolate korma with a chocolate naan, it was the best dish I have ever tasted and when I seen the chocolate naan I couldn't believe it, I had to have one and it was the best naan on the menu I thought it would be sickly but it is far from it, it is beautiful

No hay equilibrio de sabor. color naranja brillante, más arroz cocido y grasienta pero pan y popadum mejor hoy. sombra de la triste de su antigua propia. Todo lo típico Indian favoritos, preparado a un buen nivel y con algunos sabrosos platos especiales que nunca habíamos encontrado antes de venir aquí - chingri Bahar imprescindible para gambas rellenas con setas, un montón de setas! El personal es muy amable - saben muy bien por ahora ... Una de las mejores indios en la zona (que incluye un par de otras ciudades - lo hemos probado unos cuantos años pero no hemos ido a ningún otro sitio ahora este es nuestro representante local). Excelente relación calidad-precio ubicado oferta de menú. Hace poco una renovación de estilo moderno así que parece un poco más elegante.

Excellent restaurant. Food great quality and good service. The £9-95 offer menu (Sun-Thurs) offers great value for money and plenty of choice, especially since its BYOB. Would highly recommend.

One of the best eating houses in the area the restaurant caters for both eat in or take away. If it's eat in you're after then it would be advisable to book well in advance.

Lovely Indian restaurant tucked away in holywell ,, fabulous choice ..friendly staff excellent food and service ,,, very reasonably priced for top quality food .. No alcohol licence so take your own drinks ,, they do serve soft drinks

We had the 4 course special. poppadoms with a huge tray of very nice chutneys, My wife had the onion bhajis and myself the sheesh kebabs as starters , both very nice. Then for our mains I had the chicken madras and my wife the chicken tikka masala, I had the pilau rice and the wife ordered the peshwari naan and we shared. All for £9.95 per head very good value, great choice of mains must be about 15 or more to choose from. Also its great to take your own drinks too and they dont charge for corkage either. We will be coming again very soon

I have frequented the Dilshad for many years both for dining within and takeaway. I have never been disappointed. I consider the Prawn Patia to be one of their finest dishes.

Para ser justos hemos estado allí antes y no encontramos esto pero una comida que debería haber llevado una hora encimeras tardó más de dos y 400 - no vayas si están ocupados!!

Nuestra última visita este restaurante hace unos pocos años, pero no nos impresionó mucho en el tiempo. Cuando nuestros amigos nos sugirió que los conozcas. allí nos quedamos un poco preocupado, pero nos sorprendió gratamente. El lugar que fue recientemente renovado, con mucho mejores mesas y asientos. Pasamos la tarde especial (hasta las 9 pm) 4 platos por £9.95 , que comprendía pappadums no y Chutney, luego entrantes, luego campo y arroz principal o Nan, como dos campos separados!- poco Cheat allí, pero todos nos comidas diferentes y todos eran buenos. El restaurante no está autorizada, pero puede tomar en su propio alcohol y no tenían tasa por servir licor. La única cosa que era un Bollywood Musical tocando muy alto, pero se preparaban tan pronto como pedimos.
