Back on top form after recent refurbishment. Great menu with all the old favourites plus some delicious new chef's specials. Friendly and efficient staff, Guildford's finest curry house.

A very nice experience and delicious food

It's a shame I have to write this but after initially contacting them through the online contact form I've had no response. We've had several takeaways from here before as well as sit down meals and it has always been good but our last takeaway was awful. All 3 mains were swimming in sauce and all lacked flavour and the saag aloo was ridiculously spicy. My only thoughts for such a change in quality was that it was a Sunday evening and perhaps this was cooked by a waiter as the chef was off.

We decided to order a takeaway to help celebrate a couple of things that had happened recently. Booked the delivery for the early evening, and had no difficulty placing the order. However, the delivery time came and went, with no delivery. British India had my phone number so could have contacted to say it was running late (but didn't). I gave them a quarter of an hour and rang to check on how it was doing. The lady I spoke to was quite brusque and offered no apology for it being late-just that it was "leaving now". To be fair, it was with us within a few minutes (we're about 5 minutes drive away). Unfortunately, the "award winning bhajis" (of which were only 3 and really quite small) were cold and hanging in grease. Practically inedible, tbh. The meat in one of the curries was tough, and the naan bread was also barely warm when I took it out of the bag. Given the award winning status of the restaurant, I found the food to be not worth the money, particularly in view of how expensive it all was. Unfortunately, I don't think we will go back.

This is one of the best “South East Asia” food I have in the U.K.

Went for dinner here, food was ok, service wasn't great not really any atmosphere. We ate at 7pm on a Friday.

We called in on Sunday night and had THE most delicious meal. The food was so fresh and the service was amazing. Nothing was too much trouble! We will definitely be back!

The hospitality of the place,environment and workers is extremely warm and the workers are extremely dedicated to ensure that your experience there is the best and the food was top-notch and prepared quickly 11/10 must visit 100% recommend

We were 4 adults and 2 children. We all thought the food was very tasty and well presented. Friendly service. A bit pricey though.

Great food! Prices are reasonable. 10% off if you collect. Definitely order the spring rolls again, they kindly gave me 6 instead of 4.

O dear very disappointed not used Purbani for about two years when I would give five stars every time just had takeaway delivered o/ bhajee & mint sauce ok. Pilau rice very bland ch/tika patia in a 1/2 full Chinese plastic container very disappointing meal

My favourite curry house for dining in. I like hot spice so I usually have chicken Naga, special fried rice and plain naan bread. Popodoms are a must for a starter with a side dish of sauces Great food every time. Ample servings that I have to have my left overs as a takeaway Thank you Curry Lounge See you soon 😋

once again a faultless meal. came piping hot, and the passanda was delicious. infact it all was delicious, polite delivery driver, I overheard when my daughter answered the door. Will 100% be ordering again, thanks for the nice meal guys 😋
