Wow, what a nice little Indian restaurant!! Great menu choices, some different . Quality was excellent , prawns huge and tasty. I could not food the dinner , staff really helpful and prices reasonable. This is well worth a visit, I’d go back

Popped in by chance for a Friday night treat and enjoyed the whole experience. Felt welcomed from the start with great food, service and atmosphere. It’s not cheap but you get what you pay for and I recommend the lamb pasanda.

I have visited Indian dining now for about 5 years or more. The service is impeccable and food is always cooked to perfection. The specials duck was to die for but my favourite is the lamb. Very clean and very friendly and observant staff for when you are low on some thing

Popped in on the off chance and had a really lovely meal. The menu was different to your usual Indian restaurant which was nice. They also have more traditional Indian dishes. We are off both 'sections' and weren't disappointed. Will certainly be returning soon.

Service very attentive yet discreet. Atmosphere was quiet but it was a December Monday night. Food was very nice and plentiful. Had the Shikandri Lamb for starter which was very nicely spiced. For main had the Mushroom Shashlik. A touch milder than I hoped but still very nice. Starter, main, drinks, naans, popdoms came to 35 pounds a head.

Beautiful food. Not your 'usual Indian'- the menu is contemporary with dishes such as curried steak (which is top notch) and spiced sea bass. You can also order more traditional curry dishes. Not cheap, but highly recommended and well worth a visit. My favourite is definitely the 'India Dining special'.

Very nice lost a star because the draft beer was flat. But I am fussy with my beer. I had the duck dinner it was lovely will deffo have that again.

My family and I had a wonderful evening here. The bar has to be set pretty high for a UK Indian restaurant to be worthy of a 5 star review but India Dining deserves it. Lovely food (I had a particularly good lamb shank), attentive staff and a pleasant atmosphere. Seated towards the back of the restaurant the music was too loud (it was an acceptable level elsewhere). I politely asked for it to be turned down. They happily did this immediately and then twice came to check if we were happy. All in all, thoroughly recommended. Enjoy.

Booked Christmas Day Lunch at India Dining this year and the food was incredible. To start we had the Beef Cutlets and King Prawns, followed by the Turkey and Lamb. Finished with Christmas pudding and chocolate fondant. Service was great, food came out fast and lovely Christmas music. Merry Christmas India Dining and thank you for looking after us.

Not great every dish was tomato base with just added spice except the chicken curry, it had no spice and actually tasted like my nans chicken casserole the only good think was the beer and wine

Really disgusting. Incredibly watery. No flavour. Onion Bhajis were wet. Clearly the food was pre-cooked and frozen. Waste of £40. Should be ashamed of themselves.

Just came for Sunday lunch, we had no reservation but managed to get a table. The restaurant was half full but today I was a hot sunny day. Food and service was great and also had a nice Mojito cocktail. To start with we had prawn puri and lamb chops and for main, we had the lamb shank and Delhi chicken . Great food and friendly service Will definitely be back.

Our first visit to India dining was many years ago after sampling the food when they were in the food hall at the lower ground floor in house of Fraser in Croydon. Back then, the food was so good it prompted me to book a visit to the restaurant which on several occasions through the years was outstanding and on a fine dining scale. The restaurant is quite a distance from where we live so normally we only went on special occasions. Unfortunately out recent visit would be the last. Garlic prawn starter was very nice but for the price it should have been. My main meal (chilli beef) was decidedly Chinese and not Indian and tasted and looked like a microwave ready meal. My wife’s was very similar to a chicken korma and was pretty much tasteless. The restaurant became quite busy and this effected the service considerably. It didn’t help that one member of staff stood talking to who was obviously a personal friend of theirs on the neighbouring table for around 10 minutes while we waited for someone to clear our table. At nearly £40pp with only one of us drinking was a price bracket that should deliver quality food and service. I’m sad to have to give a negative review for this restaurant as it had always been our go to place on special occasions.

To put it in a nut shell it was rotton use to be the best change the chefs now not eatable want to be a shamed gritty chicken cream sag panner was just spicy no flavour and nan had red like blood dripping out of eat not good My name Sarah used all the time now forget it !!!

Great Location and Venue with a really extensive contemporary menu

Visited last night for New Years Eve. Food was amazing, complements to the chef. The live music was also brilliant. Service was 10/10. The best New Years Eve we have ever had. Looking forward to next year already!

My friend & I visited India Dining yesterday evening & were to say the least very disappointed. My starter was average but my friend ordered a Prawn Purée @ £11.95 & it arrived with just two prawns! On questioning the waiter ‘Have you run out of prawns?’ & asking why there was not the usual half lemon on the side of the plate, he was met with silence. Obviously they realised our surprise & disappointment as they gave my friend a free glass of lager. The main meal was very average & we paid the bill of £67.17 plus left a small tip & left. This restaurant is surviving on the reputation of the previous India Dining which served excellent, (although somewhat expensive) Indian cuisine. The waiter service was average, the atmosphere fine but the presentation & number of prawns - leaves much to be desired! We will not be returning; as sadly this is NOT the old India Dining!

Had Christmas lunch at India dining yesterday and have to stay it was fantastic. Very welcoming staff, food was amazing, probably the best I've had there. Reasonable prices. Throughly impressed

I first went here a number of years ago, and the food and service was excellent. Expensive but worth every penny. Not Any more, save your money and go to the Royal tandoori.

As usual, the food & staff were excellent. The lamb chops starter was a wonderful explosion of spices & flavour to the palate. Definitely recommend.

We went to India Dining last night for a birthday and it was a fantastic evening. The guys working there were all so friendly and couldn't do more for you and the food was excellent. It is a slightly different experience to a normal curry house and the price does reflect that , but I would say it's worth that.Would definitely recommend a visit and we will go again.

Fantastic food. I have always been a bit of a picky eater and asked for the Taj Delight, but changed it to be with vegetables only and they were very accommodating. I highly recommend this place if you want good Indian food.

As always 5 * Although my family and I regularly eat at India Dining I just took a group of my friends to India Dining for the their first time……no pressure! They were blown away by the quality of their meals, the friendly staff, the cleanliness of the restaurant and the ability to adapt to the children’s needs, nothing is too much trouble! They all said they will be coming back so well done India Dining, you didn’t let me down! We’re so lucky to have such a great restaurant on our doorstep.

From the booking online to saying goodnight it was terrific. Food was amazing and great value, we were made to feel welcome without being pushy on offering us drinks etc Given a romantic little booth as well I had the Taj Delight and what a delight it was . My partner had the chicken korma it was equally delicious. Definitely come back again and wouldn't hesitate in recommending this establishment.

The food was amazing, best curry I’ve ever had in the UK. The staff were very warm and welcoming with excellent service . Beautiful layout with warm atmosphere. Great for family and romantic for couples.I cannot wait to go again .

Hands down best curry I’ve had, korma was really nice, tikka massala( best I’ve had) was a bit more tomato then I’ve had before but I preferred it, was not oily at all, easily top tier Indian for me. Would 100 percent recommend by the dishes I had.

I’ve been a customer of India Dining for a few years. We lived in Warlingham until early 2020 and the food used to be amazing. The service, when we dined in, was amazing too. Having just ordered a takeaway, since being away from the area for the past year, we were really underwhelmed. All of the food was the same bland flavour and the fact we paid over £60 for food that was subpar is pretty disappointing. Hopefully the ownership can undo any of the changes they’ve made recently before it’s too late.

We went to India Dining after a long time and we really enjoyed our dinner and cocktails. The meal was delicious and the service was excellent.

I had my best ever Indian meal here about 10 years ago and excitingly ordered a take away with my partner yesterday. I was so disappointed. Overpriced and tasteless. I would not recommend. Very poor

My friends and I ordered lovely takeaway on Wednesday night. Food was beautifully cooked and nicely presented. We ordered lamb shank, deli chicken, prawn moilee and some bits and pieces. Delivery was super fast. All food came at great time and warm! I ordered from them for first time t/a and I haven't been disappointed!! Well done

Last time me and my wife came here, the food was amazing... faultless! We came tonight and there was confusion with our reservation; we booked a week ago then got a call on the day to say that our booking has been cancelled. We asked why and informed them that it had been booked for a week and they managed to keep our reservation. The food wasn’t fresh and had obviously been microwaved. King prawns cooked and served in under 5 minutes? I don’t think so! Very unimpressed considering our previous visit was so good!

We arrived on time for our booking. It took 25 minutes for our drinks to arrive & we didn’t receive our mains until almost 2 hours after we sat down (1 hour 50 minutes). We were about to walk out when they arrived. Upon receiving the bill we noticed that they had put a £22 service charge on there (after we’d stuck around and spent £200 between 4 people with them). We asked for the service charge to be removed and they said they couldn’t do that. After pushing on this they finally took it off and we paid the rest of the bill in full. Won’t be returning ever again (shame because the food was pretty good when it did arrive!)

Booked a table for 7.30, I received a call to say to change it to 8pm. At 5pm we get a call from a Rude member of staff saying they’re to busy to take us in. I booked a table at well be the restaurant was open!

Not happy been here for years last 2 visits not feeling well so asked to take main meals home. 2 curries 2 rice and cheese and chilli nann not hard to take to kitchen and put in take away cartons.... for this restaurant yes both times all that was there was one plain rice and veg korma no mushroom rice no lamb patithia paid both times £70 for a starter and drink.I have sent two emails and left message on their phone and still nobody has called. Didn’t want to put bad review because the food is great but cross because the customer service is bad especially when we are regular customers.

1st class service and 1st class food. Lovely atmosphere. Highly recommended .

As always the staff and food were excellent, would highly recommend giving it a try. They are very conscious off the covid safety rules as well and made you feel very safe. Good luck for the uncertainty ahead.

We went to India Dinning on thursday 17th sep 2020. The meal and the atmosphere were lovely until the end of the night. I made a mistake and booked a taxi home for myself which arrived before a taxi for my 82 year old mother and her friend, in her mid 70s. After I left a very drunk woman walked into the restaurant amd created a scene. After some mins she walked to our table and started clearing it off, my mother asked her to stop as she had no mask on and my mother is vulnurable due to her age. The woman started shouting abuse at her and said "covid should get you anyway as you are dark, your friend is white!". For clarity my mum is as english as they come but this is not the point.The waiting staff did not do much about this and told my mother that they are used to it as she often comes in when the manager is not there.She was rude, abusive and thoroughly unpleasant and if she is know to the staff, they should get rid of her before she approaches customers.This ruined a pleasant evening and we consider if it is ever worth going back

We had a super dining experience to celebrate my husband's birthday. Neween and his staff were wonderfully courteous and attentive. The food, fine wines (and the Cobra) were truly excellent. The surprise birthday cake with a firework acccompanied by Stevie Wonder's Happy Birthday music along with the staff singing was a lovely touch! Wonderful atmosphere, definitely looking forward to experiencing Neween's cuisine and hospitality again soon.

This is hands down the best Indian restaurant that I've been to and we are very lucky to have it as a local. The food is unbelievable and the service is always top shelf stuff! The staff are always friendly whenever I've been in there. FIVE STAR!

You need to try their lobster, it’s only £31! The flavouring and the price point is so on point. I would definitely dine in again. I had such a lovely evening here with my family. The staff were very fast and everything tasted amazing.

Eat out to Help Out. What a difference a week makes, last week Med Kitchen struggling with hungry diners , yesterday India Dining providing an exercise in coping by keeping the diners needs at the top of their priorities.Incredibly busy due to the incentives, but even the chips my autistic son required were served with grace and enthusiasm.The food itself was quite simply in a different league to your average curry house. My wife had a sea bass dish which was superb and my Chicken Jalfrezi, mushroom rice and peshwari naan were better than average but averagely priced. The staff didn’t even mind us asking for doggy bags. I will return.

I booked this restaurant for a nice family meal as an anniversary treat . We booked well in advance as it was booked for the Wednesday of the gov scheme so I knew it could be hard to get a table. When we arrived we were shown to our table which was actually a perfect table in a corner. We waited nearly half hour to be asked if we wanted drinks, I assumed the delay was because they were exceptionally busy. Anyway , they gave us an over priced “ specials menu” which is the advertised one on trip advisor! But the previous eve I photographed 2 menus from their restaurant front, 1 specials and the other normal. So we asked for the normal one, we were all given a menu to look at. Our meal was excellent, the food was lovely and all the waiters with the exception of 1 were great. However once the bill arrived we realised we had been ripped off! They were charging us the “ specials menu “ price, which I might add does not mention how much each dish was!!!! When my husband complained their excuses was that we ordered of the takeaway menu.........: no where on the one I photographed said “ Takeaway” this created a very embarrassing situation. I could go on, but in the end we paid what WE should have been charged which was a whopping difference of £40! It’s false advertising resulting in unnecessary upset. Please change your outside menu to state “ Takeaway” and also on your “ specials menu” please add the prices of the chicken Dansak ect.

My wife and I enjoy reasonably regular trips to Indian Restaurants - we have eaten at the Cinnamon Club and Chutney Mary's fairly regularly, but only on one previous occasion have we been to India Dining because we think it can be over priced and the service can be tardy/poor (which it was the last time we visited).As it was a special occasion, and they are local as opposed to a train trip to London, I telephoned to book a table for 7.30pm to celebrate our 26th Wedding anniversary on Weds the 19th August. The fact that it was our anniversary was made very clear to the restaurant when I booked and I reminded them when they called earlier in the day to confirm that I was still going to be attending.On arrival we were kept waiting for over 5 minutes to be seated, despite the restaurant not being full. I think that the fact that it was an Eat out to Help out night meant that were quite a few families there with youngish children, but it was by no means full. When we were seated , the table had no cutlery on it, but it did have 2 menus....on A4 paper, offering quite a limited choice, certainly not a full menu (which we were not told when we booked) As we suspected many of the items were on the pricey side - a prawn curry for £31.95 for example , no sides just a main dish!10 minutes passed and we had not been offered a drink and the table was still cutlery free. I managed to attract the attention of a waiter and asked him if he felt that they were too busy to offer a reasonably prompt service. I said that if they were just to let us know and we would look elsewhere for our anniversary meal. Although he did not apologise for the delay he reassured me that they were not too busy and he took our drinks order.10 minutes later although we had received drinks, no one came to take our food order. The restaurant was still not full to capacity at this point, and the atmosphere was poor. Full bright lighting was on an there was no background music/noise other than lots of customers waiting to be seated or asking waiters when they were likely to be served.Fed up of waiting any longer I went a few doors down to the Warlingham Tandoori to see if they had a table which they did. I returned to India Dining and told my wife and we upped and left. At no point were we acknowledged by any of the waiters at India Dining except for when we attracted their attention.I must say that regardless of price, any restaurant should offer basic courtesy and good service as a pre-requisite. They can be forgiven a little if they are rushed off their feet I guess, but on this occasion they were not.As this was the 2nd time that we had been let down by service we certainly will not be booking a table at India Dining again.Incidentally, the service at Warlingham Tandoori was impeccable (and it was full by the time we had been served our 1st drink). The atmosphere was great and the quality of the food was very good, as it always is. They will certainly be seeing us again on a regular basis.

We ate at Indian dining on Friday evening, it was great to see how the staff adhered to a strict safety code with regards to eating out amidst Covid. The atmosphere was welcoming and attentive throughout our meal. The food was sublime and as we have eaten there before it was good to see new dishes on the menu and favourites that we had enjoyed before. Nothing was too much trouble, Naren, George and the team went above and beyond to ensure that our evening was enjoyable.

Unfortunately i had high hopes for this restaurant but then someone said the chef had left and it had changed. Our meal was very basic, no real flavor and if anything sweet. The service was as if they were closing down and acted like they just did not care. Very poor experience overall!

We have been here many times in the past, but not for a few years. The food back then was great, Decided to try again on the gov 50% off scheme. Sooo disappointed. Didn’t start off well as was expecting to get their set menu that is still being advertised on their website “Special Set Menu 2 Course Menu £23.95 or 3 Course Menu £27.95. Including a cocktail“ good value (particularly if 50% off) and nice menu choices. When I asked for that menu, the waiter shrugged and said they didn’t do it. Ok, maybe an out of date website, or was it greed of the restaurant to force more expensive food choices while the government scheme was on? We had starters (chilli squid and fried chicken wings) chicken was moist but tasted dull but squid was tasteless, served with no sauce or dip and was just dry, deep fried heavily breaded squid. I couldn’t taste any chilli, just very dull and tasteless. Awful. Began to wonder if I was in an Indian restaurant as both dishes would have been more at home in an American place. The rest of our meal was only just ok. My husband hated his beef dish and just picked at it. (He normally loves anything!) I just ate the paneer out of mine as the sauce wasn’t that nice (tasted like Heinz tomato soup mixed with a bit of cream) However daal and naan were both good. We both agreed that we would never go back. I also think it is overpriced for what you get. In the past I seem to remember getting nice touches like a complimentary amuse bouche, no sign of that now. This restaurant still seems to have good reviews, I just don’t understand why.

Abysmal. We went to this restaurant on a Wednesday night and were treated like second class customers. We were ignored and brushed aside when we asked for our order to be taken. The waiter simply ignored our requests and immediately prepared a table for the waiting white customers. He stood by after clearing a table and again ignored us. After asking three times and being brushed off we decided to simply leave. I booked this restaurant a week before and am a local who has a lot of friends and family who have used this place before but will never again. Perhaps it's because we are not white. Disgusting!!

India dinning is our favourite restaurant and we went often before lockdown, I was a little concerned about eating out once lockdown ended, I need not have been concerned , every care was taken to conform with current government guidelines re hygiene ect. we have been 3 times in The last 3 weeks, the food was great as usual (I am the fussiest person to feed ), the staff go above and beyond to make sure everything is to our liking, and are super friendly.

After a long wait, Dined in yesterday night and the restaurant was almost full and food and drink were delicious...Very friendly staff and the management...Very neat and clean...Great ambiance...I would like to suggest you all to try ID’s Tandoori Mixed Grill...Its really worth spending...Will Dine In again...

We go to India dining regularly and after lockdown was lifted, I ordered the Squid as a starter and the Lobster as a main to try something different. It was fantastic. Best dish I’ve had in a long time!
