This place is absolutely amazing. If you are looking to experience the taste of Lebanese and Moroccan food for the first time, then Al-Bader is the place to be. We had the mixed grill platter, which was said to be for 2-3 people, but the portion size was really generous and catered for 4 people. Not only was the food excellent, the staff were also extremely friendly and welcoming (especially the young male server with the bubbly personality). Cannot wait to dine at Al-Bader again. āāāāāāāā

We were in Birmingham with the family for a small get away! I did some research on halal food places to try whilst there and Tru Burger came up. After reading all the good reviews on here, we were really looking forward to it. Got there the diner looked good and the staff were friendly. The starters were nice, we got lamb chops and Mac an cheese sticks and thatās where it stops! The mains were disappointing, the burger looked good but when trying to eat it was very sloppy, too much sauce and everything just fell out. The chips were soaking in oil! Tru Burger brand setup is good, they just need to improve the delivery and quality of food!

A truly awful experience. We got to the cafĆ© at 2.50pm, only to be told that they we now only serving drinks and cakes, due to a backlog, although disappointing, as the closure time was 4pm, we decided to take a table and order a Latte, an Americano, and a Cherry Bakewell. Whilst seated, the small room was very cramped with as many tables as they could fit it, making it so loud, it was hard to hold a conversation, as it was that full. We wait around 10 minutes for our drinks to arrive, and thought the Cherry Bakewell would follow. After 5 minutes we asked one of the servers about this and the response was āThere is a backlogā.. The Cherry Bakewell eventually arrived 5 minutes after this, by which time we had finished our drinks. Even if we had asked for more drinks, this would have been caught in the ābacklogā..! On the food & Drinks - The coffee was awful and Cherry Bakewell, turned out to be a cake on such a small plate, it was impossible not to drop some of it on the table whilst trying to eat into it. The cost of this truly awful experience was Ā£13.90 The problem on service is clear to see, not enough backroom staff to accommodate the number of tables they have crammed into such a small space. If you want to be sitting in a crammed room, waiting for service and paying top money to be treated like cattle, then this is the place for you.

In my opinion the best Persian food in Brighton & Hoveā¦. If anyone can suggest better please let me know as this assuming restaurant has been serving incredible food for years. Having been a customer for over 14 years and tried many alternatives Iād be happy to be proven wrong.

Takeaway with a few tables. Mains are 10 with or without rice (less curry if getting rice). Dal (thick chana/chickpeas) was 7. Steamed basmati was 3.5 and PERFECTLY cooked. Nan homemade but not in a tandoor so lower temp meant a little stodgy. Tasty food (tikka masala / lamb and aubergines / dal / nan / rice /no drinks (a no for tap water)).
