This is such a pathetic spot I have ever been to. I travelled from Central London to Southall to try out dinner. The food was unfresh, tasteless, and poor service.

Spice Village is a top end curry house. Ite usually very busy and especially so in the evenings they do not take reservations on specific days so we had to wait in a queue for 20 minutes. Once seated food arrived pretty quickly. The mixed grill platter is delicious but a little sparse on chicken and not cheap for the amount you get. We add chicken saag and lamb karahi as options both excellent. Quality of food first class and a vibrant location to dine at. Service very good.

I have ordered a chicken tikka masala and a chicken korma on ubereats and we were excited to try it. When we opened the package we had the biggest disappointment! Everything had too much oil in it! I have never seen so much oil in a food in my life! I never ate a chicken tikka masala like that! It’s completely disgusting. We had to ask a refund and we are not even eating it. I wouldnt give it to my dog!

Standards have really dropped at Spice Village, Southall. Once known as a beacon of Asian food, it has sunk to new depths of low. We attended a birthday party of more than 10 people. The food was overpriced, and extremely small in portions, there was a broken glass offered on the table which cut a member of my family on the lips. The main curry waa to salty in flavour and the biryani felt like it was pre cooked and warmed in the microwave. All this time, the waiters kept asking for good reviews when they knew everything was of a poor standard. I think Spice Village have a fantastic decor, but they really need to up their service and food quality because this was money not worth it. Will be avoiding Spice Village.

We came back after a year and ordered all our Usuals and the starters were spot on. When we got to the butter chicken and the chicken tikka masala, it was like eating curry powder paste. The dishes didn't look the same and most definitely didn't have an acceptable flavour. We asked them change one which they did but a defo waste. I wouldn't like to again for mains but would recommend the seekh kebabs and chicken tikka. The masala fish was oily and wet inside which took the texture away.

Spice village located in Southhall is a typical Pakistani hotel and has a décor worth noting. Crowds were waiting outside which showed the popularity of this spot. Since we had reservations entry was a smooth affair. We ordered lamb biriyani, Butter chicken Alutikki Chat, chicken tikka and vegetable biriyani for my wife. Biriyani was excellent with proper amount of spices and good quality rice. Butter chicken was not up to the mark and I felt it bit sweet. Service was good though they had a good crowd. Prices were in the range of 8-9 pounds for most of the items.

Spice village were our wedding caterers for my sisters wedding. We have used them many times for big events because they outperform everyone in quality and service. We had an exceptional experience! The food was delicious, and the presentation was impeccable. Special thanks to Waqas, the event manager, for ensuring everything ran smoothly, going above and beyond to we could be stress free and enjoy our event. And Nauman, the manager, for his outstanding coordination and regular contact leading upto the event. Their dedication made the celebration truly memorable. All of our guests had nothing but praises for the event and all thanks goes to the Spice Village team! Highly recommend for any event!

I had an amazing and smooth experience with Spice Village catering services for my wedding in November. My sales manager, Kiran, was so so helpful and guided me through all the decision making and was also able to quickly cater to my last minute needs. On the day , Waqas, the event manager took care of everything and was able to deal with the problems that occurred that day, this took the stress off me and my family and we’re able to easily get through the day and enjoy ourselves. Would recommend this to anyone who would like a stress free time planning their wedding. :)

We visited London over this bank holiday in May with family saw some YouTube videos, food looks amazing in the video so decided to pay my visit as a foody like to try good food wherever it takes me.Firstly no booking they were taking and it’s all walk in on that bank holiday Monday we went there put our name down they said it’s 30 minutes wait, it was a long queue and restaurant was packed of people took 45 minutes to get in another 10 minutes inside to wait to clear our table asked couple of waiters to clean the table , finally we sat down and one of a young man waiter came to take our order understandable that it was so busy and it’s going to be a while to get our order. While we were waiting saw couple of the family having outside food at the table while they were waiting for their order yes that was a good idea as it takes 90 minutes or more for this whole experience then the food will arrive. Finally it takes another 30 minutes to get our food we ordered masala fish, chicken wings and lamb chops for starters beautiful food no complaints at all no wonder why people wait for that long. For our main we ordered lamb Afghani karahi and butter chicken with some butter beans afghani karahi taste like Pakistan afghani karahi and we loved it butter chicken was very nice as well. The reason for my three star is the portion let it down the amount of time we spent to wait for this experience the portion and price did not justify that I’m not exaggerating but lamb karahi had four small pieces of meat one of them was a bone very small portion same for chicken as well at least it should be decent size if portion to justify the price very disappointed. First time went there did not know that how much to order after long wait and dying to eat good food when you can’t get enough decent portion of food was a big disappointment did not order more as it wasn’t a relaxing environment to eat either crying babies loud noises waiters running around and anxious customers waiting for food just not what I was expecting this is the reason I won’t go there again. I think they should do something about the eating experience better and think about justifying the price by serving decent portion of food. Staff was extremely hardworking and happy to serve even though it was extremely busy. 10/10 for their staff.

Visited with family to this restaurant. We sat outside which was beautiful as they had outside heating and very comfortable seating. The manager of the restaurant Inaam provided us with amazing service, got us quickly seated food out and even gave us some free popodoms. Defiantly visiting again, 5/5 stars

Ok, so it is Ramadan. The order was simple. One nan and one chicken biryani. The biryani was probably enough to feed my cat. Except this is not genuine biryani but a few small pieces of boneless chicken curry mixed in with rice. Doesn't seem to have been cooked with the rice. The nan was not even packaged properly. The issue here is the price. Literally 4x times what you would expect to pay. And the quality is as described. As this food was delivered to a fasting person in Ramadan, and they would have known that from the timing, it just is not a good show.

I ordered food for 35 people at short notice. kebabs, tandoori chicken, lamb biryani, lamb curry and naans which were all delivered exactly on time. Food was amazing everybody loved it. There was not a single complaint. The price was best in the area and staff were very friendly on the phone and kept in regular contact. 10/10 will recommend and use again.

I live locally and would go to this restaurant regularly before lockdown & during lockdown I have been ordering from them regularly too! I ordered the Haleem which I’ve ordered before and it’s been fine, but this time it was so salty it was inedible to the point that I had to add lots of water to it and boil it through to lessen the taste, after which it was still inedible and so I had to discard it. I called the restaurant to let them know because it’s not cheap. You spend quite a bit for a small portion; but rather than apologise and find a solution to replace it which is what would have happened if I was in the restaurant itself, they said they tried the Haleem and it was fine and that whilst they apologise, IF there was a “genuine” issue they would have done something. I cannot tell you how insulted I was to be dismissed like this, and to have them imply that I was lying by saying that my issue wasn’t genuine. Then why are you apologising for. Don’t apologise then. It’s a verb. An action word, if you’re going to apologise do something to rectify the issue. Who wastes their time calling up a restaurant on a Saturday night to make a complaint for the fun of it?! Had they offered to replace it and solve this, chances are I would have said don’t worry about it, because at the very least I would have known that they were being genuine their end, and that it was being taken seriously, but it’s the sheer audacity for a local business i’ve been supporting for years to dismiss me, and tell me that my experience couldn’t possibly have been my experience because they checked their end and there wasn’t an issue. How can you tell me and challenge what was my personal experience?! I ate it. You didn’t eat what I ate?! This is the problem with ordering a takeaway, once you’re at home some of these restaurants think they can absolve themselves. There needs to be a better system if you’re relying on people to order takeaways from you because customers just loose trust.Even if there wasn’t an issue, the fact that I was so unhappy, shows this restaurant doesn’t value my business at all. If that’s the case I’ll take it elsewhere. When I asked the person I was speaking to for his name because he was rude and dismissive and I explained that I wanted to call back to speak to a manager he refused to give his name, which was unfair because he new my name. Again, if I was in the restaurant he would have a name badge and I would know and it seemed like a cop out in order to avoid any accountability. I guessed that I was speaking to someone called Inam Ul Haq, and I knew this was his name because as explained I come here regularly and I recognised the voice. The moment I said this he refused to answer and passed the phone over to his colleague. I spoke to his colleague Ibrar Khan who accidentally confirmed I was speaking to Inam. He too was also dismissive and told me that because I am younger than him I should speak to him with decency. My age is irrelevant. I am an unhappy customer because what I ordered and expected is not what I received and age is irrelevant. Again another cop out to avoid accountability. Unfortunately I have no choice but to put this on trip advisor. Don’t come here if you expect decent customer service, you won’t get none!

Come here to dine Regularly with my family not only do we keep returning for the delicious food but the the outstanding customer service the staff offer especially INAM and PALIB they always go above and beyond and also make my two children feel welcome which they like. Highly recommend a visit you won't be disappointed.

Never been before, usual place is Giftos. However after disappointing food few weeks ago decided to try this instead. Went with family and met some friends there (social distancing) the young lady who was serving us (4 adults and 4 kids) was fantastic! Polite and excellent service. The samosa chat was excellent! Veg dishes all superb as was the chicken dish. Best thing was, not a huge amount of oil in dishes which was perfect! Only criticism was the chicken in biryani slightly dry (however waitress did give us some raitha and said try tandoori one next time). Great value for money to! Well done and look forward to seeing you after the lockdown!

We were clothes shopping in Southall and wanted to go somewhere to sit down and have lunch. Spice village is one of the nicer places on Southall and all the staff were so friendly. We didn’t have to wait and they are Covid safe. I felt safe eating there. The food came out very quickly and was very tasty. Reasonably priced as well. I would go back and I recommended you try it out if you’re in Southall. The masala fish was very tasty!

The kebabs were good but the samosa chaat was bland and the lamb Karachi was very salty and some pieces were over cooked and some were undercooked. We told them about it and they took it away and brought it back after fixing it but it was still very salty. Not great.

This is a very Average Indian restaurant in Southall. There are no decent Indian restaurant in Southall at all. The service was OK.

Had great family lunch. Not the first time and definitely not the last. One of the Top halal food place in london.

Had a meal which was something I have never tried before, an Afghan lamb dish, lamb was lovely and tender and not to spicy. Our waitress Naaeijta was very nice and not your usual over attentive waitress. Overall well worth a visit. Onn point no alcohol allowed.

The two waiters were super friendly and attentive to me and my mums needs. I really enjoyed my time there! They deserve recognition, since they created a n uplifting atmosphere especially in these tough times so thanks to them.

Very well mannered staff providing service like no other. Ambience and atmosphere was exquisite. Perfect place for a meal with the family. Last but not least the food was second to none, uniquely pleasant flavours which demonstrated how spice village stands above any other restaurant with an equivalent items. ....however my experience was anything but. I am really sorry to be writing a review like this. I am not from London or Southall but was in search of a little bit of India and a good curry so made a beeline for your restaurant because people rate the service and food very highly. A table of 8 sat next to me moved as they realised they were to be a bigger party of 10...ie I was taking up the potential 2 seats. This presented no problem as such. But no one came to take my order. I began to feel uncomfortable with the wait - like this is not a good place for me.Yes my child came in with dirty hands - not a good look I know :( But I can't help but think I received a dose of misogynistic behaviour from the male waiters or the table of 10 sat infront of me represented the bigger dollar. Either or it is a terrible way to be treated.Yours the lady with the child who came in the early evening on Saturday the 5th September.

Looked good and clean from the street and was busy. So we decided to have a early dinner.We got seated after the registration and given the Menus. Our waiter was quite switched on. I was in the mood of Chole Bhatra. I was told they didn't serve Bhutras or Puris or ALOO phartas. You could get them only in breakfast on weekends. I managed to convince my waiter to make me a Aloo Phartha. So I ended up ordering Chole, Aloo Pharta and a portion of Sheekh Kabaabs. I asked the waiter if my Kabaabs could be cooked not well done. My friend ordered a LAMB Biranyani and naan.The food came KABAABS over cooked and were rubbery. My Aloo Pharta nearly Burned must have cooked on high heat. The Lamb Briyani had 6 pieces of lamb cubes and totally blend there was no excitement. The Briyane came with sweet Rice which I enjoyed the whole EXPERIENCE was not good

Visited this beautiful restaurant today with my family. The atmosphere and vibe inside the restaurant was exactly as it should be. The food was delicious. The staff were super friendly and constantly checked to see if we were okay or if we needed anything. The restaurant manager, Inam, is doing a great job of ensuring all staff are doing their jobs to the best of their ability, whilst also ensuring he does his part too.

Visited on 24th during Eat out to Help out offer. The restaurant had a completely new menu with increase of 20-25% on every item to make more money during this eat out to help out offer which minimises the benefit to the customers. Ordered Charsi Lamb Karahi, which was not available instead they gave us normal lamb curry and charged us for the Karahi. I have been to this restaurant before and its a decent place to dine in but i didn't knew they would go to this level for the money.

Wait for the food was short when we ordered and the food was delicious. I revisited today on 19/08/20 with my family and they really enjoyed it too. We visited the restaurant for the first time as we were shopping in the area. I wasnt expecting much but i was pleasantly surprised!! The food was wonderful! The customer service was so nice which was refreshing as you dont see it often or anymore in asian eateries. We had 1 waiter and then the manager check up on us to ensure we were ok and happy with everything. Their dishes are rich in flavour, the breads are amazing! Couldnt fault anything!. We were celebrating our children passing their exams and were also giving our parents a surprise dinner. We were served by a waiter named Kabir. He was very friendly and served us with great respect. The service he provided was very efficient and he made the whole experience very relaxing and enjoyable. We were given seating in the separate enclosed area which we appreciated as we were with our family and it provided us some privacy to enjoy our celebration.The food was excellent and served at a nice pace. Our waiter Kabir had great communication skills and looked after us well ensuring our different courses were served when we were ready to have them. My mum and I went for dinner today 10/8/20 to spice village Southall, on a very hot evening. The queue was extremely long and as my mother is disabled,I spoke to a very nice man named Iman, who was at the door taking bookings. He informed me that we would have to wait around 25mins for a table for 2, but when I explained that my mother was unable to stand outside for that length of time, he immediately asked another member of staff to provide a chair to be brought outside for my mother to sit on, while we waited. He kept on checking Up on us.His pleasant smiles, jokes and His caring nature, made our wait worth while. He then escorted us to our table, taking real care of my mother especially which again was extremely impressive. The restaurant itself has a beautiful ambience and really clean too. It offers an excellent menu with lots of well explained food and drinks to choose from. The tableware, plates, glasses and cutlery are all very impressive, as is the elegant decor throughout the restaurant. The staff are all very friendly and full of smiles, making the whole experience more enjoyable. The food is of really good standard and With really fresh flavours, and are all at such reasonable price too. I highly recommend spice Village Southall to anyone who appreciates great food and great service

The manager and stuff were very friendly and amazing. They served our items quickly and engaged in conversation. Everyone about the meal was perfect. I would definitely recommended people to go there. We came from Reading and will definitely be coming back.

Two of us came to this restaurant for lunch. The staff seemed to serve everyone except us. [we were the only nonAsians] We waited and waited and eventually had to get up and ask for service.The food arrived and was good. We had Paya Curry [goat feet]; Balti Lamb. With rice, one nan bread; one mango lassi and water, the bill came to £ 34.00.I took photos of the food. After we had eaten, we were presented with a dessert [free of charge] We think that they realized that they were going to be reviewed.We observed the staff cleaning tables during sittings. Although they wiped clean the table tops, the edge of the tables WERE NOT wiped. The table edge is where most customers would hold when standing from their chairs.

First time visiting this place, thought what the hype was about went in had to fill a track and trace form, got seated immediately after and given menus. One lady was very helpful she kept asking if we are okay. Ordered food and drinks and drinks came was about a 20 min wait for food however didn’t mind. Food was fresh and great Definitely would come back again when in southall. :)

Appalling service, staff have no manners and lack of spoken English. They try and take away dishes while people are eating. Food quality and portions have gone down and prices are up. Won't be visiting again even though we are regulars there

When ever we visit there we enjoy a lot, pani puri and kashmiri tea are must every time. The staff is so nice and provide excellent service.
