I visited the restaurant with my business colleagues. I have been visiting this restaurant for atleast 8 years. Even during Covid I use to travel all the way from Windsor for takeaway. Last night was the worst experience I ever had. Service was an absolute disgrace. Staff was rude, ESPECIALLY the woman behind the counter. I waited until she was off the phone to pay , she started literally screaming on another colleague in their own language. He came to me and said sir you can't pay by card, our card machine is not working. This is the customer service you have ? Staff screaming in front of customers . I went to get the cash, came back and saw customer in front of me paying by card. 😡😡. Disgrace , absolute disgrace. I was soo embarrassed infront of my business partners. Do u guys really believe you are the only Persian restaurant in the area? I use to go to Bahisht, Kensal Green but I started coming to you guys for food and atmosphere. There are a few more but I travel all the way from Windsor to Ealing for a meal. After last night's experience , I am not coming back. Don't GO THERE PEOPLE..........

Rudest behaviour I ever had in my life. One female manager, I can't explain her worst behaviour in words. A lot of staff but no one gives proper response. instead of visiting this restaurant I'll go to hell next time. Don't run restaurants if you can't behave yourselves with customers.

Best persian restuarant around Ealing and honestly London. The food is incredible and the service is out of this world. I love the staff very much. Great family atmosphere.

Hi Its been years we had been visiting the restaurant. Yesterday I booked a table at 8pm for myself & family. After the dinner when I went to pay at the counter, the lady over there was rude. She didn't attended me and harshly called her colleague to take the payment. Her colleague said that their card machine is not working & they require a cash payment. I went to my car, picked my debit card and went to withdraw cash to the cash machine just opposite to the restaurant. When I returned to pay the cash at the counter, I saw them taking card payment from a Customer. I paid cash and then asked the manager for this hard time. He looked embarrassed and had no answer. It spoiled my mood. For the first time in the past 7 years I really had a bad experience. Particularly, the lady at the counter. Very rude.

I have been and returned to Molana a few times and always in a big group of 15+ friends and never been disappointed. Last night was no exception. Great food in generous portions was served with a smile and the staff really looked after us and though we seemed to have ordered most of the items on the menu there was consistently in great tasting dishes and everyone left delighted. We also had lots of extras like, Sabzi, maast o kiar fresh bread and the yoghurt drink Dough and tea and all were all just perfect. A recommended experience so much so that many ordered more food to take home too. Though I live 2000 kilometres away I always look forward to coming to Molana when visiting London. A big thank you to the staff for a great evening!

Manager was very rude, he was a tall huge guy. It felt very insulting when I changed my table to the next, upon asking from one of the guy working there, as my daughter was feeling cold. The manager came and rudly spoke, " why did you changed the place?" His tone was very disrespectful and harsh that he litterly made me scared and I could barely say that we were feeling cold there. Then he said, all three tables here have same cool air, as the air conditioner is right up there. He was made us feel as I lied to him. I was very disappointed as Molana used to be our fav restaurant but not anymore.

We haven’t been here for at least two to three years. The food and the service was excellent. Enjoy every minute of it.

I highly recommend this restaurant as it provides persian food with it’s authentic taste. It is the best in London located in lovely location. The best of the food is minced lamb kebab.

I absolutely love the food, the atmosphere and service here. The waiting staff are always attentive and the food is fabulous. The ghormeh sabzi on their menu is definitely one not to miss.

Delicious food I really like that but they need to change crockery as my opinion. Also the portion of food going decrease time to time last few months but the tastes doesn’t effect.

I went to this restaurant three days ago with my family.The behavior of the waiters was a disaster, and the atmosphere was a disaster, while I reserved a table. I had ordered an appetizer and it was rudely served without it being on the tray and we were treated with disrespect, we waited fifteen minutes for bread to be served, and when we said that we wanted to cancel the appetizer, they were upset and treated us coldly, this was while they had forgotten the bread and the appetizer was cold.Despite all these things, the main dish was wonderful and I give only one star to the good food of this restaurant.I will order food from this restaurant again, but just to take way , I never try to eat inside the restaurant I recommend that you only order food and go to eat in the car or at home and never try this delicious food in a restaurant

I had an absolutely dreadful experience at this restaurant. From the moment we walked in, it was clear that the service was going to be abysmal. We were given dirty cutlery, which is completely unacceptable. The staff were incredibly rude and seemed to have no interest in providing any semblance of customer service. To make matters worse, the food was fatty and cold. It was clear that no effort was made to ensure the meals were prepared with care. And to top it all off, when we went to pay, we were informed that it was cash only, a detail that was not mentioned at the beginning. This place is a disaster from start to finish. Avoid at all costs!

It’s ridiculously expensive, I got a (pre ready) faloodeh which they didn’t even made it for £7 it doesn’t worth the hype and they took so long to gave me the food. I never gonna go back again.

The food is always amazing, they never disappointed.

Molana restaurant is the only authentic Iranian restaurant that offers Iranian dishes with their pure taste. The waiters and waitresses are very professional and friendly and always do their best to create a good night and a beautiful memory for you.

We used to visit all the time. You can slightly find the portion platter less than they used to be. Big plate but smaller skewer, less meat, and chicken in them. Small portion of salad. There are lots of rice that's filled more than half the plate. No grilled vegetables ( tomato) even though it's in the menu as ingredients. Service a bit slow we stayed 40 minutes waiting for food to arrive. Service took time to take our order. Even though the restaurant wasn't busy at all. Nice and friendly staff.

Amazing food, always go for the Mumtaz and salad shirazi. Bit overpriced but food is definitely very tasty. Plates also come very well presented. Does get a bit squashy in there when busy.

We have visited the Molana restaurant many times. The food is excellent and delicious, with very generous portions. Keramat is a very good and polite waiter.

Quality is zero don’t waste your money

Visited on Sunday, 30-June-2024: Delicious Persian food. Went for lunch and the place was pretty empty. We got koobideh, vegan gheimeh, kuku sabzi (herb omelet), rice and bread. It was a huge meal for two people but all of tasted so good. The vegan gheimeh had a nice acidic/lime taste and the kebabs were juicy. The yoghurt was nice and sour. The herb omelet was also tasty. The prices were on the higher side but certainly worth the price. Would visit again!

First time at Molana restaurant, I went with my Iranian friend. He ordered all his favourites, the food was so good, fantastic rice dish with almonds, pistachio and saffron, a vegetable soup with vermicelli, salads, bread and a vegetable/egg patti. The service was very good, didn't wait long for our dishes to arrive. Will definitely return

Unfortunately, poor reception, low level of cleanliness, delayed serving, and food not up to standard.

I heard about this restaurant, unfortunately it wasn't to my expectations. Food wasn't that great. It was just any other Iranian restaurant. Atmosphere it was too noisy and over crowded. Staff was just not interested in serving. One of my family members didn't even get her food because she ordered a vegetarian.

I ordered 3:30pm and I received my order at 5:15 almost two hours.

Food and service is Good The only issue I have is everytime I go there, they keep asking to pay CASH.. They have even managed to get a Lloyds bank cash point right opposite the restaurant which was not there before. I feel very uncomfortable and noticed they are asking every table to pay cash.

We recently visited the visited this restaurant for some Persian food. We had the Jojeh and the Soltani Kebabs which were just ok. We have had better at other Persian restaurants. We also has hummus with bread which was just average too. The décor and service was not bad but nothing to be excited about. All in all, the restaurant was just average. Have had better elsewhere.

Very bad experience. Went there with my family yesterday.He made us order extra. When asked to order chicken instead of lamb he refused and acted very rude. His appearance was short, fair. He was also forcing us to order right then and there. A lot of food was also wasted because he kept insisting on ordering more.

Avoid this restaurant. Hygiene is zero. Customer service is horrible. Staff are full of lies and want to cheat you. Food is disgusting. It made me sick. Local authority food safety teams must take this serious and investigate the hygiene issue of Molana restaurant. I used to go there, but I will never ever go to this horrible place again.

This is the worst experience I’ve ever had with a restaurant. Over 2 hours late I call the customer service so rude absolutely disgusting and telling me to send the food back if I ever receive it. Didn’t even apologise. I will never order again and definitely will not recommend.

Tasty mixed grill, but poor value for £48 for 2. Delicious orange juice, nice tea. Spotty service... So never actually saw the dessert menu. Lively bordering on loud.

Great place, we had our wedding party in this restaurant and all the guests really enjoyed it. The team are very friendly and service was great. Food was fantastic 👍 But don’t take my word for it, try it for yourself.

Absolutely disgusting. took long time to receive my food. you get charge different price and they count rice and lamb separately to charge you more. I ordered diet coke, and they served me with can a diet coke with no straw!!!! how comes? 🤔 they did not even come and ask if I like my food or not!!! Overally I haven't experienced a restaurant at all seemed to be a very low level take away. honestly, I would never recommend it to anyone.

Been here a couple of times. The portions are generous but a bit on the bland side, but that's persian food. The ambiance is very nice, seating feels cramped, but overall not bad. Here is there House Special Kebab and Ghafghazi kebab.

This restaurant deserves 1 star only based on my solely experience. If you are looking for something tasty, then this restaurant doesn’t meet your expectations. The presentation (rusted copper plate) is really poor. The hospitality is not up to scratch. Be smart and do not pay on unworthy service and you have superior alternatives to experience. Furthermore, if you could care about health, then these rusty plates could be your last option

The last time I visited was five years ago. Today, I visited for lunch and noticed that they changed the decor, but the food remained the same. On the menu page, it introduces Mawlana but doesn't mention his country of birth, which is Afghanistan. Mowlana Balkhi

Nothing like the restaurant. Didn’t included salad and they only gave 5 pieces of baby chicken and the koobide again wasn’t as fresh as it would be in the shop.

Went with a few friends for evening meal, food was good service was good. However, they allow alcohol from outside and on this day had a bunch of punjabi people sitting and drinking next to us. Screaming and talking so loud that we got up and left the restaurant after complaining. We didn’t have tea or dessert and got up as soon as we could due to the unbearable noise. It is a restaurant everyone is here to have a nice quite meal with friends and family so when you have such loud drunks it just completely ruins the atmosphere and the meal.

Dining with colleagues half of which Persians and therefore knowledgeable on the cuisine. We were all very happy with the quality of the food, the service and surroundings

Great atmosphere A bit pricey But worth it

Food was awful not nice at all the rice has weird flavour! The meat was chewy not edible at all the chicken dry the kebab not nice, the calamari was disgusting, the starter merza qasmi too runny! The service was slow they served the starter with out the bread! 15 minutes later after we kept reminding them we finally got our bread. we waited for more than 40 minutes to get the main course! Now we chasing the ice for like 10 minutes and the third waitress mange to get us. Never ever again If you fancy Persian food go to Mahdi in Hammersmith.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Molana Restaurant in Uxbridge, and it was an absolutely delightful experience from start to finish. As a lovely addition, we were treated to a dish of freshly picked herbs, cheese, and walnuts, which paired beautifully with the freshly baked Persian taftoon bread. And the also the Mirza Ghasemi was absolutely delicious ! Beyond the food, the ambiance of Molana is warm and inviting. The staff were attentive and friendly, making sure we felt welcome and well-cared-for throughout our meal. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated, adding to the overall authentic Persian dining experience. The quality of the food and the warm, welcoming atmosphere make Molana a top choice for anyone seeking genuine Persian cuisine. We left thoroughly satisfied and are already looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommended!

Unfortunately the Chicken smelly and stinky very bad experience

I recently dined at Molana, a spacious Persian restaurant located in West London, just a 15-20 minute walk from Ealing Broadway shopping center or West Ealing station. With a 4.1-star rating from 2,130 Google reviews, this popular spot specializes in Iranian cuisine, especially kebabs. Join me as I share my thoughts and explore their koobideh! Location To reach the Molana restaurant, exit Ealing Broadway Station and walk south, turning right at Ealing Broadway. It's alternatively a 10–15-minute walk to West Ealing. Despite the new Elizabeth Line, which connects Central London to Ealing Broadway and West Ealing in 15-20 minutes, the walk from either station remains lengthy. It’s quite inconvenient. And Ealing itself is really on the outskirts of London at the end of Central and District lines, so a mission to get to if you are coming from anywhere outside of West London. No star Service The restaurant is beautifully decorated with impressive chandeliers, and the staff was very polite and attentive. However, there were some shortcomings I think can be improved. There were no complimentary starters other than the complimentary bread, whichseemed necessary due to portion sizes I will get to later. Additionally, traditional elements like tea, shirni and taarof at the end were missing. Overall, while the staff service was good, theseother offerings could result in improvements that elevate it from good to great. Half star Price The next point is the price, which is on the more expensive side. Yes there has been recent inflation, but a Koobideh that costs around £15is comparable to prices in central London, like Paddington. This is surprising considering the restaurant's location distance from central London, and prices should usually lower. Compared to Persian Palace across the road at £8-10, Molana is almost double in price. Although it doesn't break the £20 mark. Half star Portion Regarding the quantity, this was the biggest letdown for me. The amount of rice provided was simply too little, especially considering the £15 price tag and the location in the outskirts of West London. While the koobideh itself was a decent size and they provided refillable free bread, the insufficient rice portion was disappointing. The salad and jug of doogh were okay, but the portion size overall needs improvement, particularly the rice. I hope they can improve this aspect in the future. Half star Quality The Koobideh lacked the standout flavor compared to the Persian Palace nearby. While the Koobideh was definitely decently prepared and not lacking in quality, it fell short in delivering that extra flavor and punch that really separates good from great. The rice, bread, and salad were satisfactory enough. Half star Summary In summary, Molana in West Ealing receives 2 stars, which is just below average. The restaurant's location benefits from the new Elizabeth line, which could potentially add half a star to its rating. However, overall, it hovering around the middle of the rating scale.At the time of reviewing, there's was no compelling reason to go out of my way back to this restaurant. I am a lover of Iranian food and It was the worst Iranian Koobideh I ever experienced. It didn’t feel like a real meat, and it seems it was full in soya. We had a birthday party and ordered a few portions of Koobideh and everyone was disappointed with the taste and we had to throw them away!

Honestly I have been at restaurant with my friend before 2 weeks and we don't like the meat because It is very undercooked and chews your mouth, and you have to make an effort to chew the meat. This is a very bad feeling. The bill was exaggerated for two people. Mixed kebab was 66 pounds. The meal did not guarantee anything. It was expensive and we were not happy with the food. I hope the restaurant will improve the service soon as possible. Notice : as I am hygienist the bathroom was not clean as well and should be more clean after one person use the bathroom.

Overpriced food. Ordered mixed starter for 2 - tiny portion and cost £28! Soup (£7.5) - cold and undrinkable. Mixed grilled for 2 cost £48! It was very noisy you can hardly talk or hear. It’s our first and last.

After several unsuccessful attempts to find a good quality Persian restaurant in the UK, I have to admit this restaurant satisfied all six people in our group. We had Koobideh with rice, Mirza Ghasemi, Panir o Sbzi, and Noon. The bread was cooked on-site and served fresh and hot. The kebab was very delicious and of authentic Iranian quality.The food was served on stylish plates, which enhanced both the taste and presentation. The restaurant's design was interesting, with particularly fabulous lights and luster. There were two toilets and plenty of space for dining.

Seriously Delicious Food Served on an Amazing Atmosphere.

Great place with authentic Iranian food! Really enjoyed the flavours of the food along with a great atmosphere. The rice with Barberry’s was excellent along with the lamb kofte! Only room for improvement would be to maybe have a better salad accompany the mains! And some sauces to accompany the mains! Was not impressed with the chilli sauce. Overall 5***** would recommend to anyone to try if you can’t decide as there few Iranian restaurants nearby this one is the one!

The quality of the food was really good. The staff's behavior and attention was also good and remarkable. It was only slightly crowded, which is not unusual for a Saturday night.

This place has been in Ealing for years. It appears as though the menu hasn't changed in that space of time either! It would be nice to see some new items on the menu, from time to time.

Fantastic food, fresh and tasty

SCAMMED AND BECAME VERY ILL. It's so upsetting to see how bad Molana has become. Look at the other reviews and you can see how a lot of people over the last few months are mentioning how bad this place has got. Went into the restaurant at 4pm wanting to get the lunchtime special, and the waiter didn't offer the menu to me. I asked and he looked at me like I was crazy. I checked online and it said the lunch special is between midday and 5pm Monday-Friday. We got the Mixed Grill for 2 people that was completely overpriced at £50! THEN, I notice that the waiter starts giving local Persian customers the lunch card and even despite arriving after 5pm they were offered the special, and they essentially at the SAME THING for 50% less. I was humiliated. I asked the waiter AND HE STARTED LAUGHING AT ME. I felt so angry and completely taken advantage of. I used to come here a lot as a kid, and I can't believe how pathetic they've become. All made worse by constant stomach aches the next day and having the runs. It's so frustrating, because I really can't think of a worse experience. PLEASE BE CARFUL. DO NOT GO HERE.

Very good Persian food. Fresh meat and well marinated but on the pricier side. Be very careful when you got the menu from the waiter. In lunch, there is a special offer (12:00-17:00) but the waiter didn’t dish out the special lunch menu card to us.

Delicious lunch of Gorme, Ghaymeh and Doogh delivered punctually to our home on a Monday. Authentic flavour of Persian culture at its best.

Good food at the right price buzzing atmosphere, easy parking.

I am an individual with more than 35 years of food experience working and owning businesses in London. My views are based on my experience, and I am genuinely concerned about the value and quality of the food and customer service provided. This place was recommended to me by a friend, and I went to Molana restaurant with him on a not very busy night. We ordered some starters and kebabs for the main meal. The starters were average, and their kofte kebab was very thin and had hardly any meat , and it was unevenly cooked ( cooked on one end and not cooked properly on the other end ). Their lamb pieces skewer had only 7 pieces, again not cooked properly and very hard to cut even by knife . The kebabs came in a metal plate swiming in a tasteless liquid, or sauce, with a side salad ( few long thick lettuce leaves, a few shredded carrots, and literally one slice of tomatoes and one slice of cucumber - I am not joking , it can even be seen in the pictures provided by the owner and the customers ). Unfortunately, I have noticed that the majority of Persian restaurants in London have some problems with providing their meals with an appetising salad. The service was below average, and once you pay the bill, they seem to forget about you and don't even answer your goodbye. Overall, it was a disappointing experience, in my opinion.

Staffs were chasing us like headless chicken every five to seven minutes to take our unfinished food. They did keep on interrupting our family meal throught our stay at the restaurant which lasted for an hour. They have very poor customer service and care towards young family. They made it very unpleasant experience for us. They ruined our family lunch. They only bloody care about sucking money out of customer pocket and provide very poor service to the customer. They do not care about customer family meal outing. It is not worth going back to this restaurant for family meal.

Very small portion for the price they charge. Overtime they increased prices a lot and reduce the food portion size. Quality has also dropped.

Indulging in authentic Persian cuisine at Molana was truly a delightful experience. The food was DELICIOUS, the atmosphere was inviting, cozy and nostalgic even (feels like you’re in Iran itself!), and the staff are friendly and attentive. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy a taste of Iran.

Food vibe and service was excellent. But was very dissapointed that its ramadan and they had no place to pray. Such a big place and they have not left a small area to pray. Very dissapointed. Only because of that reason would not come here again.

Really nice place, enjoyed the food. But it’s always soo busy. We didn’t have a booking and they still accommodated us! 5 stars for the service even though there was long waiting times.

Not the best food here but the staff here are amazing. The best service you can receive in town
