The restaraunt setting was good with tables that can fit groups. The staff were friendly but delays in serving food were long, I waited 45 minutes for the main dish after I finished the appetizers. The long wait was not worth it and the food was not impressive.

I had the pleasure of dining at Mowlana Restaurant, where the food was exceptionally delicious and of the highest quality. The service was impeccable, and the staff were remarkably courteous and welcoming.

Terrible! Very expensive, yet the quality is awful! Ordered Persian traditional starters but we were served with microwaved tinned food! the portions had also become a lot smaller. Never again! Very disappointed!

Food - no doubt its one of the best alongwith the presentation. Location - perfectly aligned with the working ATM across the shop. Tip: decide what you want to eat, calculate your expected bill and then order. Do not think of indulging in anything extra in between. No sign on the door that the outlet is cash only - not at all expected from a restaurant of such stature. Service - the staff was courteous and nice. Wish the Manager was a bit welcoming and worked on the soft skills. Just a tip: Try leading by example - works more effectively than bossing them around. Atmosphere: Definitely needs reconsideration. Thrown at the far end of the restaurant where one can hardly move is not what anyone expects. The table was too small and congested. One can hardly move if already seated. Lesson learnt. NEVER walk in. Do a reservation (please display that too). We learnt it the hard way though when the Manager clearly told us off that same sized tables in the front are reservations only. So grateful that we were not shoved into the kitchen.

Went to Molana yesterday as been there previous years before and it was amazing, yesterday was a disappointment. We entered the restaurant and asked if we had a reservation to which we replied no. However still got given a table, from the moment we sat down it felt like we were rushed to order, eat and leave. I understand we didn’t have a reservation but do not rush your customers. They provided a small bowl with some yellow sauce and butter on the side which I presume to eat with naan that was also going to be provided but they decided not to give it to us. However the other tables around us were provided it. Not good! Anyways while we were still eating main dinner my nieces plates were taken away after they had finished eating but I was asked if I wanted the bill. Why would I want the bill if I am still eating. After I was done they gave the bill and I was told it was cash only, and an ATM was across the road if I don’t have cash. I’m sorry but in this day and age not many people have cash on them and a restaurant on a Saturday night would have bound to have a lot of people wanting cash. Worse experience, never coming again. Although the food was on par, service is atrocious.

**Very Disappointed** I had a really poor experience at Molana. The staff were unfriendly and lacked basic hospitality – not even a smile. We ordered the mixed grill platter, and it was just average with nothing special about it. The worst part was at the end when they told us their card machine wasn’t working and asked us to go across the road to withdraw cash. That’s extremely unprofessional and inconvenient. Overall, the service was disappointing, the food was mediocre, and the whole experience left a bad impression. Definitely won’t be going back.

Extremely Disappointed with My Experience I recently visited this Persian restaurant and unfortunately, it was a deeply underwhelming and frustrating experience from start to finish. To begin with, the staff seriously lack professionalism. A warm welcome and a smile cost nothing, yet the staff here seemed uninterested and unfriendly throughout. It felt like we were more of a burden than guests. We ordered the mixed grill platter, hoping for something special, but it turned out to be just average — nothing memorable or worth recommending. For a restaurant that seems to pride itself on authenticity, the food certainly didn’t reflect that. To top it all off, when it was time to pay, we were hit with the classic excuse: "our card machine isn’t working, you’ll have to pay cash." This is extremely unprofessional and honestly unacceptable in this day and age. We were even asked to go across the road to withdraw cash, which was both inconvenient and embarrassing. Overall, I left feeling disappointed, frustrated, and completely unsatisfied. Molana seriously needs to rethink its customer service and upgrade its standards — both in food and hospitality. Would not recommend, and definitely won’t be returning.

I decided to pop in with a friend over the weekend, i would usually visit persian palace across the road but wanted to try Molana. We were seated straightaway and knew what we were ordering, food was mediocre nothing special unfortunately and I wasn't impressed. For the price you are paying it isn't worth it. £21 for just a bit of chicken/lamb and chips and some cut up salad, I was expecting shirazi salad and olives. When we asked for the bill we were told they would bring it to us which ended up taking half hour of us waiting for it, we had to ask again and they finally brought it to us, they then tell us they only accept cash and there's an ATM across the road. When we came back we just paid at the front desk as they had already wasted so much of our time. Firstly you should have a signage on your door that you only accept cash as it wasn't clear and secondly customers should be informed prior to placing an order so they can make withdraw the cash as soon as possible . Also I would stick with the rice, don't order chips, trust me I made that mistake. Probably will not order again as I was so disappointed.

Meal was okay, slightly over price but we were happy overall until we needed to pay and been told can be done only with cash and that the card machine "wasn't working " In my opinion, nothing wrong is supporting small business, but you should tell your customers before hand the payment agreement so you don't need to run at the end of a meal to take cash. By the way we didn't want to pay cash, we suggested a bank transfer and suddenly the both card machines were working...

Kabab Barg estaba rojo y no cocinado, Joojeh Kabab y los tomates a la parrilla eran extremadamente insípidos. Sin embargo, el arroz Koobeedeh y Safran estaban casi bien. Después de 3 días, todavía tengo el estómago molesto.

This is my favourite restaurant ever .The food is absolutely delicious, huge portions and have been coming here for years as food never disappoints . We get the hot mixed starter, the mixed grill and orange, pistachio rice . Very reasonable . The service is very slow, staff are lovely, but we know that and have accepted it!!

One of my favourite UK restaurants. Everything about the place is sublime. We visited regularly 10 years ago, before we had children. We visit now with the children and it’s just as good. The food was good, the service was great, the tea was great and there were plenty of side dishes. The salad dressing was delicious. It was clean everywhere, the bathrooms were clean, the tables and cutlery were clean, there was salt and pepper on the table, but abgosht could have been cooked more, maybe because I arrived so early.

This place is really special to me because it’s where my aunt and I used to go together. The food is authentic Persian cuisine, and it’s always been delicious every time I’ve been there. Also their lunch prices are reasonable, you definitely get value for your money. So if you’re looking for tasty Persian food at a good price, this the spot for you.

To be honest I will not return here. Food average. Restaurant setting is way to tight. Tables were arranged as in a school cafeteria.

I appreciated the atmosphere and the polite service at this restaurant. However, as a Persian restaurant, I expected more in terms of food quality. The Ghormeh Sabzi was a bit disappointing, and the rice didn’t meet my expectations. On the bright side, the kebabs were flavorful and well-prepared. I also really enjoyed the decor—it added a nice touch to the overall dining experience. While there’s room for improvement with some dishes, it’s worth a visit for the ambiance and kebabs.

I ordered a Ghormeh Sabzi and a Gheymeh, and they were really bad with no quality at all. There were cobwebs on the ceiling, and the staff had no proper manners. They didn’t even once ask if we needed anything. There was no call bell on the table, so we couldn’t even call for their attention. Also, there was no paper towel in the restroom for drying hands. In my opinion, this place is not up to the standards of an Iranian restaurant.

In my humble opinion as someone who alwyas eat kebab and is obsessed with it I feel like your getting scammed in molana the kebab size isn’t even that big and the rice portion is small and the kebab doesn’t have a great taste to it either, it isn’t bad but I feel like you should go on that 1 minute extra walk and go to Persian palace where the kebab tastes amazing and the portion sizes is huge compared to molana

Brought my clients here. Friendly staff and pretty fast service. Food was delicious, definitely try the chicken wings for starters. Koobideh was lovely too. Maybe avoid the calamari, wasn't the best. But the other dishes made up for this. Food is fresh, hot and tasty. Will be coming back.

Went to restaurant last night, as we go regularly, we ordered some foods , the kobideh was kind of dry and became smaller which was unexpected, when we spoke to management and asked was the chef changed, he said no and everything is the same which it wasn’t, so for us is the last time we will go there.

Had to book last minute for Valentine’s Day and I can say they did not let me down. I was running late but thankfully I called them and they accommodated accordingly. The food as always was delicious, koobideh with rice, grilled tomato on top. As a man of course I forgot to get flowers as they were sold out everywhere on the day of valentines. However, without even having to ask, they provided me with a flower and card to give to the Mrs. I would give 6 stars if I could. Thank you to the staff at Molana for saving me from the dog house.

This place used to be really good but not anymore. They’ve made their koobideh super thin that it’s actually noticeable. The second thing is they don’t add tomato with your meal which is odd every kebab comes with tomato. I had to ask them do you not serve tomato with the kebab anymore? Which he replied we do so I asked where Isit? And he said he will go get it. Came back with two tomato when half the meal had already been done. Then asked us to pay in cash to obv avoid tax. This was a mess as I don’t carry cards and I wanted to pay for my friend and my meal which she ended up getting cash as she had card and you can imagine she didn’t accept my bank transfer afterwards. This is really embarrassing as I wanted to make her my guest. I used to come here a lot now I will avoid at all cost. You will eventually lose all your clients.

WORST PLACE EVER IF YOU ARE BLACK!!! We were completely ignored by the waiters, makes me wonder whether it’s because we were the only black couple in the restaurant. After seating down for half an hour, calling waiters who just went past our table, we decided to leave and never go back-they never even approached to ask whether we had been served. Never ever going back and definitely it’s the worst experience ever.

Really…….!!!!!!!!! Right this restaurant advises customers to pay using cash, they just forced me to pay my meal using cash to avoid tax. Their staff have a bad attitude towards customers, food quality dropped suddenly and sometimes they don’t cover your whole meal so you have to ask them to give salads. This need to be fixed ASAP…….!!!!!!!!!

Have only tried mixed grill and a chicken stew so far with a traditional Persian drink similar to kefir but with herbs. Over all nice food and warm environment. Grill chicken cubes were best and yes not to forget Zereshk Polow

Quality of food was great and exemplary, however, the restaurant can perhaps uplevel and enhance the quality of 'Koobude', as it looked and tasted fatty and poor in quality. Other food items were really delicious though.

Honestly I was really pleasantly surprised by this place! Well decorated, staff were on it, portions were HUGE, the food was actually really nice, and it was well-priced (on the slightly steep side, but well worth the price given portions. The bread was fresh and 10/10. The meat was juicy and very well seasoned. Rice was also fresh and buttery. I’d highly recommend! It’s also all halal

The food was not great, very fatty and the service was not managed well e.g. bring jag of water without glasses, Cola cans without glasses and tea cups and sugar without spoons its really a common sense. By the way I am abig fan of Middle Eastern food but definitely not what I had in this restaurant. I hope they can enhance the test of the food and the service and not take this personally.

This place continues to get worse and worse. Food is fine, service is non existent. Their little payment kiosk is always full of surprises, with preferences for cash (sometimes over insistence, or lies about their card machine connection going down) a guarantee. Not sure it's very genuine to have a lunch menu at the front but not explaining that the same dish can be ordered at lunch with two sizes. Why should I have to go through two menus to understand their rules. Sadly it's amateur behaviour. Just not worth the hassle and shoddy experience. Sorry guys, get some help for front of house.

Food was ok, nothing special. What irritated us was that we were asked to go to the front desk to settle the bill. In doing so , they told us that only cash payments could be made that day (last week). The waiter pointed to a cash machine across the street suggesting where to go to withdraw cash. I DON’T USE CASH !!!! It’s 2024 !!! I also had heard that this was not the first time “their credit card connection was down”. It comes across to me as a ploy just to receive payment in cash. You’ve been warned folks !!!

We ordered a mixed grill for four, drinks for four, and tea for four. However, we were charged an additional £51.32. The restaurant served naan, appetizers, and zoolbia banieh without us ordering them, which added to the bill. My total should have been £102.90, but I was overcharged by £51.32. I won’t be returning to this restaurant. While the food itself was good, be cautious if you’re dining with guests—sometimes extra items are brought to the table without being requested, making it difficult to dispute the charges.

The food was ok nothing special. The service was really poor. The waiters seemed not bothered about customer service at all. And the cherry on top was when asked for bill they said we have to go to front of the restaurant to settle the bill individually. We were a big group of kids and ladies and they said we don’t accept cards and when I said I don’t have cash the lady said Apple Pay is fine. It was a non sense and probably tax fraud they are up to. We've visited Molana multiple times for dinner, and it has become one of our favorite spots! Every visit is a delightful experience, and this time was no exception. We ordered Kobeydeh with Naan bread, and as always, it was delicious. The Kobeydeh was flavorful and tender, grilled to perfection, and paired wonderfully with the soft, fresh Naan bread. We also tried the Doogh and Persian Ice Cream—both unique and absolutely amazing! The Doogh was refreshing with just the right hint of salt and mint, while the Persian ice cream was rich, creamy, and had that distinct taste of saffron and rosewater. It was unlike any other dessert we've had and definitely worth a try. The ambiance at Molana is warm and cozy, with a very welcoming vibe that makes the dining experience even better. The staff is attentive and friendly, adding to the overall enjoyment of the meal. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and always look forward to coming back. It took over 15mins for our order to be taken, it wasn’t even busy , then when the food did arrive it was very bland.When i asked for the bill they then said only cash payments,i think they should let guests know before they order .I wouldn't come back again.

Molana ceeded my expectations! The dishes are flavorful and beautifully presented. The chickn skewers were a highlight, and the Nakhlawa was a perfect finish. The staff is knowledgeable about the menu, which is great for newcomers to Turki cuisine. Highly recommend!
