It was so good!! Second time I’ve been and I love the food. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. They had good service

I’m amazing! Absolutely phenomenal. There is no more to ask for in this place. There is outstanding staff, including incredible chefs and MIND-BOGGLING waiters. They’re really funny and friendly! The food itself is like, OFF the top. Another thing is that unlike some other random restraints and places, Al Bader is a place with clean bathrooms.The last thing I wanted to share was that the place has such a unique and beautiful design/pattern. Trust me, Al-Bader is… well… sensational generally.

Post work meal and it was 10/10 esp the mix grill, lamb shoulder, wings. The meat was cooked to perfection. I would recommend 100 percent

Ordered Arabic shawarma medium meal for myself and Tangine dish for wife. Portions were extremely tiny. Bill with over-priced soft drinks was £26. No convenient parking nearby This was my first and last visit. Overall rating: 2/10

Nice restaurant but not too many vegetarian options. Wanted to order the halloumi fries...but unfortunately they were fried in the same oil as the non veg. Same with the falafel.

Was very disappointed with buffet yesterday for iftar. £20 per person and i didn't even get £5 worth of food. The layout to get your food wasn't very organised, people stocked up on plates of food that they didn't eat, there only a piece of dried out lasagne which wasn't very hot and the food wasn't all labelled to know what you are eating. In a time of fasting it wasn't very good to pay £20 and leave hungry. Samosas and spring rolls tasted like frozen ones not made in restaurant,very very disappointing.

Don't bother going here if you are a vegetarian or Vegan as although, they have starter options they have no mains. We went, sat down, read the menue and walked out. Dissapointed.

Good service but disappointed with the food. I ordered the grilled shawarma. nothing special about it, yes it's grilled but the meat tasted dry and had no flavour. Avoid the shawarma, tastes dry and not fresh and is also pretty expensive for what it is. The manager should get rid of this from the menu.

Food taste are ordinary. Price is reasonable. Services good. Toilets are not regularly cleaned. It was messy. Waiting for the food is long.

I visited this Lebanese restaurant on 27th December 2021 there were 9 of us all family.We all had something different but also had a try of each others food We visited again this evening, there was my eldest son and his daughter my 2nd son and me We intended to have starter, main and desert. My hummus starter was delicious as was my sons sausage dish, ochra and tomatoe dish and beef ball dish with a dip. We also had a jug of mango lassi and home made lemonade I and my granddaughter had Bami with lamb as a main, my sons had a Schwammer and a mixed grill all said they enjoyed it very much, we were very full by this stage and couldn't finish our meal so the staff brought us takeaway trays to take our food home in, I think it was the very nice creamy mango lassi that filled us up but never mind we will enjoy having our leftovers another day

The ambience is pleasant, though the place was very quiet when we visited. Comfortable-enough. Food here seems quite authentic. Portions were huge. Some dishes had an unexpected composition - but may be authentic. Some dishes seemed pricey. Most food items were enjoyed. Service was a little eccentric, though friendly and helpful enough. Cash payment only. Not sure we'll return though

We really really liked the atmosphere and the mood of the place. Food was good. I confirm that the service was not the best, but waiters were really running around.. Maybe not enough of them? Other all a very enjoyable meal.

I ordered a delivery of the special at the time which was lamb shoulder on a bed of rice. The food was delivered on time and steaming hot. The shoulder meat was cooked to perfection. The meat just full off the bone. It was so soft and juicy. The rice was cooked perfectly. Well seasoned and light. The salad was fresh. All in all an excellent meal and I wouldn’t hesitate to order it again.

Paid restaurants prices for a restaurant experience. But what my family and I got would barely pass for a takeaway meal... £14 for a mixed grill and rice - half plate of overcooked and/burnt kebabs with the other half 'basa' (old) bland tasteless yellow coloured rice. At this price point you expect some level of presentation a garnish or two or salad or sauce to go with it. Nothing. Then £12 for a shawarma and chips - it was even worse (mrs was not happy) - frozen chips and some very sad grey looking poorly presented shawarma. That was all that came on a plate that was meant to be worth £12! It was so unappetising that my wife left the whole plate. We've had more flavoursome dishes at £3.50 in and around Ladypool Road. Very disappointing. Sad when perfectly good restaurants start to lose sight of what matters. Al Bader management please get your act together for heaven sake! I would have given you 2 star or 'terrible' rating if it wasn't for the lovely Moroccan tea. But that didn't make up for our terrible restaurant experience following end of lockdown.

We has a group of friends, have been going to this our local restaurants for years and always had great food. However, during our last two visits, the standard of food is not what it use to be. The salads in the past use to be laden with lovely fresh chillies, japones, onions, carrot sticks, pickles. Recently, the salads are just full of lots of green leaves and few onions and carrots. Their mutton soup was always delicious, but they no longer seem to offer this. Their other soups are still good. Disappointed that they are not offering tap water (covid 19 prevents them) but only offer bottle water at a charge. All other restaurants we have visited since March, are still offering free tap water! The restaurant is still popular, so must be doing something right.

I went to visit this restaurant yesterday, my food came with a salad but what I received on my plate was a disgrace and amount that you could not serve a child to. When I questioned where my salad was the staff (presuming the manager in a dark blue shirt) claimed it did not come with my food as I ordered rice with my Kofta KhachKhach. I explained I didn’t want the bread & requested the rice; I did not cancel the salad. The staff said to me “it comes with a salad or bread or rice” I said it does not state that on the menu and asked to see it again. He gave me the menu and it stated “SERVED WITH SALAD & BREAD” so I yet again explained it says with salad & that I’ve only changed the bread. He then told me that we never give both (meaning rice & salad). Which I know wasn’t the truth as I’ve been here many times before & they have indeed given both. So when I challenged him again he kept repeating we don’t give salad with rice and then I said so “why did you put a tiny amount of salad on my plate?”; to which he said “ok it’s a misunderstanding” It was not a misunderstanding, he just refused to accept he was in the wrong. Overall, the food took over 40 mins to arrive; service was rubbish (my husband had to go to staff) & to top it off they have ignorant staff. I would not be returning here and ask others reading this not to bother either unless you want unnecessary inconvenience. It ruined my experience there.
