It's definitely one of the best Afghan restaurants I have visited. Went with 8 people, and they accommodated us very well! The food was absolutely amazing! Everything was perfect! Would highly recommend this place if you are visiting Birmingham.

We ordered Chapli kebabs it was 4/10 and we also ordered lamb Charsi karai which was 2/10 and about the service there was about 10 people standing on your head but if you need anything you need to tell about 3 to 4 different people that can you please bring us this and that after maybe couple of minutes you have it.

I always come here because I know they will never disappoint. The food is amazing honestly from the taste to the presentation idk what it is about the food it’s like you can taste the love here. Regardless of who you are they will treat you like family for real!!! Eat here you will not be disappointed after a long day of shopping on alum rock or if you just want a nice restaurant to eat at!

Very busy. Very bad customer service yesterday we been there all the way from Nottingham. The kebabs are no test no salt . The meat pieces very small . Very Route staff. No respect . I will never go again I spent £46 for two people two children . Very busy very dirty

Taste of Khyber is famous, but the name can be misleading, as the experience unfortunately does not match the reputation. Every time we visit we feel disappointed. Today we went looking for Kabuli Pulao but it was a big letdown. The rice was undercooked hard and had no real flavor. The Chicken Sajji was also not good and lacked the tenderness and taste we expected. The restaurant does offer a good variety of dishes and the staff and environment are nice. However the cooking needs a lot of improvement. We want to proudly introduce our foreign friends to Pashtun and Afghan food because our cuisine is truly one of the best in the world. Sadly this restaurant does not represent it well.

We went today to taste of khyber to try their “Famous Chapli Kabab” and they truly didn’t disappoint us at all, I’ve been living in the uk for past 1.5 year and i can say those were some delicious chapli kabab i ever had, Hands down their Sindhi biryani was also a game changer, truly revived our taste buds, we were craving desi peshwari taste and they served it right, kudos to “Mr Mashal” who took care of us. Anyone seeing this should go visit at least once and trust me on that your cravings will be satisfied. Not to forget about the complimentary green tea, it was a cherry on top.

We were here for the first time and I saw that the food was delicious as it was back in Peshawar. Secondly, I would like to draw the attention of the manager towards the customer service which I am sure is not even average, they lack communication skills, not even properly trained, not dressed and lack a basic point of service ie “ to look after customers. One of them was quite good at service and properly dressed, his name was Atta Ullah which made us feel like we were in the restaurant. I appreciate his honesty and service.

Amazing food and exceptional service. We went in ramadhan and despite how busy it was the service was not compromised. Chapal kebab are best I've had in the UK charsi lamb karahi is also very good, ( if you prefer it spicy you will need to ask them to make it alittle spicey) the kAbuli pilau was also delicious and the masala fish was amazing. Everything was served hot and fresh. This is our go to place when visiting Birmingham

Was welcomed by staff upon entering while they were already busy serving many other customers. As my younger child has issues being in crowd, helped me find a suitable table. I ordered sheesh kebab, chicken tikka, quater portion of lamb karahi (trust me portion size was good) and 2 small naan along with french fries. Al Hamdulillah enjoyed every bit of it. All fairly priced. Couldn't stop myself ordering some extra kebabs as in take away to share with family friends back in leicester. Not over yet, as we were not able to finish the karahi, staff got it packed himself which normally other restaurants in the same lane don't get bothered by just handing you the container. I would 100% recommend this place anytime for its cusine and tip top service. Looking forward in next few weeks to visit again !!!

Why would you serve Coca Cola in this day and age? And people were drinking it with no problems whatsoever. Would easily give 5 stars, well worth driving down from the North, just a touch over priced. The food is unmatched.

My family and I have enjoyed this Afghani Fawlty Towers joint for years. If you're into decor and ambience, do not come here. However. If tasting the most incredible Northern Pakistani cuisine is in your mission, then this place will deliver in more ways than one. Try the charsi lamb, the kabuli pulao and Afghani tikka, finish off with some mint tea and sweet almonds. Highly recommended.

This is the best place for afghan food. When I first had my gastric bypass surgery it was the only place I could eat from because it was clean! The food is organic and the meat is tender. I highly recommend.

Went in for iftar ordered, the menu you seem a bit overpriced the mix grill platter that cost £26 I would say avoid it’s the not worth the taste and quantity the lamb karayi was tasteless you could only smell the lamb no flavour at all the best one probably is the biryani we had and mango lassi. Over all would I visit again the answer is NO!
