Lovely little restaurant, great value too. We thoroughly enjoyed the food, and the service was quick and attentive. Would highly recommend!

Ordered the chicken tikka masala and nan bread. Very tender meat, very well balanced flavours. Staff were very welcoming and moved tables to accommodate our large party.

The food was excellent. Great value for money. Very delicious and big portions. The staff were very friendly and helpful. This is the best Indian/Pakistani restaurant in Birmingham for sure. Highly recommended.

Ordered via Justeat. Waited ages. Prices very expensive. Then the restaurant cancelled the order! Please avoid there are better and cheaper Indian restaurants. Really really unprofessional to accept a delivery and then cancel after such a prolonged time period.

Visited here as I didnt want to go back to Tipu Sultan but food was on the same par as Tipu Sultan. Asked for chicken Karachi hot and literally chicken dropped into sauce and served with hardly any peppers. Needless to say I didnt finish my meal which came with pilau rice, fries and nan. Not sure what is going on in the restaurants these days. I must say having visited quite a few curry places being a curry lover, I've got to say that Spices in Solihull, tops them all.

Great evening out with excellent food. Good menu selections. Fish curry and tandoori lamb cutlets fully recommended. Well priced with very good service. Would certainly visit again.

I visited Kababish with some friends.The food is good, but I felt my portion was small (especially compared with similar type restaurants elsewhere).They don't serve alcohol, which is fine; you can bring your own and they charge a corkage fee (common in many restaurants and perfectly acceptable). The fact there is a corkage charge is stated on the website menu.What is not stated is that it is £3/head. This means that if 4 people share a bottle of wine there would be a £12 charge, which is far too high. The £3/head charge needs to be made much, much clearer on the website.

A good measure of this restaurant is the fact that the food is the same as its sister restaurant in Boldmere, same menus,different chef,same quality,top banana.

Este ha sido durante mucho tiempo mi restaurante favorito, pero la visita de ayer no fue excelente. En primer lugar, ya no tienen licencia y cobran una tarifa de descorche de 3 por persona, pero ni siquiera abrirían nuestra botella, a pesar de abrir botellas en otras mesas. Luego, el menú se ha reducido con mis opciones vegetarianas favoritas desaparecidas, sin alternativas. Cuando llegó la comida era muy sabrosa pero porciones minúsculas y por alguna razón venía con vegetales gigantes tallados encima. El paratha fue quemado. Nos sentimos apurados a pesar de que era temprano y no había mucha gente, ¡los camareros luchaban para quitarme el plato cuando ponía el tenedor entre bocado y bocado! Entramos y salimos en 45 minutos, así que no fue exactamente la noche relajante que esperábamos. La comida sigue siendo deliciosa pero demasiados cambios para peor.

Solo la segunda vez que estuvimos aquí, pero volveremos porque la comida y el servicio fueron excelentes. Se implementaron protocolos compatibles con Covid, por lo que nos sentimos seguros. This place serves the best Balit's around in my opinion, the sauces are thick and rich with flavour whilst the meat and veg are fresh and succulent. The quantity of food is pitched perfectly and a light naan bread completes the dish. Great value for money, a fabulous atmosphere and the owners treat you like one of the family.

Visited here the other week with my partner hoping for a stroll down memory lane, when we used to live in Moseley a few years ago & this was the Asian restaurant to eat at. Even though the interior is colourful & service welcoming & attentive, the food was sadly lacking. My wife's dish lacked flavour & seasoning & seemed like they'd stripped a chicken carcass clean for the pieces that were in her dish, rather than fresh. My lamb, even though slightly more flavour, still seemed very plain & the sides were small. The only saving grace was that we got 2 for 1 off the bill with a Tastecard, making the bill semi-reasonable, otherwise I wouldn't have been happy in paying it. Shame, it seems like the food isn't up to the same level it used to be & because of this, I don't think I'd go back.

8 of us ate here last night & thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Superb food, excellent service from friendly, knowledgeable staff who were very accommodating. Great atmosphere, super buzz about it. All 8 of us really enjoyed the evening & will definitely be returning.

Visited Kababish on the weekend and was not disappointed. The food was absolutely delicious - I would recommend the vegetable Pathia. The staff were all so friendly and attentive - a perfect evening.

Always good food at Kabbabish. Very friendly welcome and service. The Kabbabish is an upmarket Bangladeshi restaurant serving great dishes. Can get full so make sure you book at weekends

This was a bit of a nostalgic visit for me. I visited the restaurant during the first week it was open and was a regular for several years, whilst I worked in Birmingham.

The restaurant itself is nice to be in, decent atmosphere and the servers are very attentive and patient, can't fault the service. But not one person on our table can safely say they enjoyed their food. Everything was bland and lacking any real flavour. The curries are £7/8 and you get a morsel of food. Everything was lacking seasoning, just like eating a poor family stew really. As said below, unfortunately, this was one of the worst curries I've had in years.

Haven't been here for a number of years,so I thought I would give it a go,onion bajjie for starter,really oily and overcooked,then mains Lamb with spinach and chickpeas,all the way through it there was a slightly fishy taste to it,very disappointed , pretty hefty bill possibly the worst curry I have eaten in years,sorry guys won't be back

Had a lovely meal here with friends. We booked and glad we did as it was very busy. Could not fault the food, it was delicious and the service was excellent. Highly recommend.

Fantastic food. Portions are a little smaller than you would find in most restaurants of this type but the quality of the food is far superior. Price wise, a little more expensive but worth it on balance. Friendly, staff ( sometimes over-friendly). Well worth a visit. The only issue we had was finding a parking spot close by as there only seems to be on street parking in the local vicinity.

Not just any old curry house, but great ingredients assembled with real skill. Beautiful minced chicken kebabs, exquisite tasting baltis and garlic naans. We even had desserts which I would not normally bother with, but we were enjoying our meal that much. Attentive and very pleasant service from cheerful staff. A gem amongst Asian restaurants.

Went here with friends for a birthday meal. Had too wait ages for our drinks order to be taken. Beer was flat and horrible. We were rushed to order food. 2 of our starters of chicken sheesh was uncooked and watery. Our main meal Balti chickens were tiny portions with very little chicken. Naan breads were tiny and absolutely flavourless. Very overpriced I would not recommend!

So booked this restaurant for a Saturday night for birthday celebrations for a teenager. We booked for 8.30pm to allow for us to go, order and eat in time to open our fast during this month of Ramadan. We unfortunately were running late and didn't anticipate the traffic so called ahead and were very grateful that the restaurant kept our table. It was really busy, well it was a Saturday night, but staff were great, brought us a plate of offering in the form of the obligatory dates and fruit to open the fast, bear in mind that the staff themselves were fasting. I was worried having been late and no time to peruse the menu that food would be late, but they advised order a starter to give us more time to look at mains, and well despite ordering the chefs sizzler starter we didn't have to wait long. The dishes are large portions, the paratha was overcooked slightly burned but edible, we didn't complain because it was super busy the waiters were not only trying to keep customers happy but they too had to eat after fasting all day. Food was nice, but service was exceptional. We did take a cake for the birthday celebrations, but with kids in tow, late and full stomachs we took the cake home. Will definitely pop back to see what else is on the menu. They're also on deliveroo. Check them out. They're one of three fine restaurants on Woodbridge Road.

I haven’t been here for a long time, but it’s still got it !!

This place was definitely good for the chef's sizzler that came with a variety of different meats..really enjoyed it. The seafood sizzler was a disappointment with rubbery tiny prawns and over done fish. But the vegetable semi dry dish that came with seafood sizzler was wonderful! The curries my colleagues had were mediocre and two of them didn't even eat more than a few mouthfuls of their curry saying it was quite bland though I didn't try it myself. Service was friendly and attentive.

3 of us ate in the Kababish last night and it was perfect, perfect popadoms, perfect lamb chops, perfect rice and perfect main courses, my chicken sag balti was one of the best i've had in a long time. I'd also like to add how good the service was, very welcoming and friendly. We will definitely be going back to sample more of the menu

We were a party of 8 people who had booked a table. When the food arrived it was dry and there was no sauce to dip the nan bread into one person compared it to the dried dog food he serves his pet We are regulars here but recently the food has become disappointing when ITS GOOD ITS FANTASTIC but they need get there act together

Regularmente venimos aquí y siempre recibimos un fantástico servicio de todo el personal, especialmente Mo Salah Look like, abdul y TT. Siempre se aseguran de que nuestra experiencia sea de 2º a ninguno, y son probablemente los 2 mejores camareros del país. Siempre tenemos los entrantes de Shashlik de pollo, ya que siempre es excepcional y nunca nos decepcionan. Para los platos principales, ambos tenemos el pollo dhesi Karrai murgh, que fue recomendado por TT y es excepcional. El servicio es tan bueno que incluso el personal conoce nuestras preferencias (su atención al detalle es de 2ª a ninguna).

Vine aquí para una comida después de que nos lo recomendaron unos amigos. Es un lugar moderno y luminoso y el personal es amable y servicial. Las bebidas están bien ya un precio razonable, pero lamentablemente es la comida que lo decepciona. Tenía lo que tiene que ser la "Mezcla de Balti" más insípida del mundo, no se veía muy bien, carecía de gusto. Otros de nosotros teníamos una Bhoona (aburrida y poco inspiradora, de nuevo sin una verdadera profundidad de sabor). El arroz estaba bien. Comenzamos con Poppadoms que parecía lo suficientemente fresco con dos salsas y cebollas agradables. Así que, aunque no había nada realmente mal con lo que teníamos, no nos inspiró a volver para una visita repetida. Si eres un visitante de Birmingham, entonces no lo tomes como el curry estándar de Birmingham, hay algunas fantásticas casas de curry por ahí. . . Este no es uno de ellos. Lo siento.

Visited with friends hadn’t seen for a while starters ok but curry no depth of flavour !!! It’s a shame because service is very good. There are better curries to be had in Birmingham that’s for sure

What a wonderful meal.. So delicious and the service was impeccable thank you to Abdul for looking after us very well and being extra patient with us leaving after closing time. We will definitely come again we are sold regulars now for sure!

This is my go to restaurant in Birmingham. Always great food and a welcoming atmosphere. It was just what we needed after a day watching cricket at Edgbaston. We didn't arive until about 10.o'clock but we had booked our table and everything was perfect. I think we all had a Balti of one sort or another and as usual the food arrived piping hot and all together. I recommend a Balti Chicken with mushrooms and sag, served with plain naan.

What a shame. I hadn’t been to the Kababish for years until last night. It admittedly was quite late, but the member of staff was very rude. We ordered a starter to share of fish pakora. There was so much black pepper on each piece it was almost inedible. For mains we have a Balti mix and a mixed biryani. The balti was average at best, but the biryani was very greasy and poor. The eggs served with it were grey as they were so over cooked. On the plus side the naan breads were excellent. Not a great meal and the staff need some training in customer service.

What a fantastic meal, we dined at The Kababish in Moseley, our first visit for 12 months or so and it was amazing. As always great food and wonderful service, its never a let down. Can’t wait to go back again

We decided to go here on the spur of the moment, what a disappointment. The decor is lovely. The food was not spicy enough for us. We had starters which were ok, not spicy enough. We sent both main meals back to have them spiced up. These were recommended by the waiter, he told us we would like these. I will not be coming back here in a hurry.

Fantastic I'm not a big curry eater but I really enjoy the kababish. The food is fantastic and the staff are great super friendly very welcoming.

....of Indian restaurants in Kings Heath which are very good; Kababish in Moseley is very good too. The (relatively) short menu features some dishes not often found in other establishments and manages to avoid several of the usual suspects found on so many other menus. The staff are welcoming and friendly, and the food is cooked to perfection. During our visit last night (Saturday 23/06/18) none of the five of us was disappointed. Having (over-ordered?) a variety of starters (the onion bhajees are excellent) and mains, each was delicious and we struggled to finish. Will we go back? Oh yes, and sooner rather than later.

A pleasant dinner here with friends. Really good onion bhaji (not the stodgy things you usually get) seafood main that was intersting and spicy; one friend has the seafood sizzler which looked fantastic. Very good polite service. Recommended

I feel sad that people mistake this place, and many other similar ones as "Indian" food. Its not even close to authentic Indian flavours. Over spicy , unnecessary flavours. its my second and last time here.

Went here last night with friends. We had never visited before because of mixed reviews, but it was a central and convenient location for last night's group of friends, so we decided to give the place a try.

I came here two weeks ago. Basically the drinks took too long to come. By the time our starters and mains arrived we weren't impressed. I have had been to a lot restaurants in the Moseley area but this is the worse we have ever eaten. The food is bland like babys food, no flavour, not spicy, nothing in it. The service was very slow and despite the waiters were nice, they do need training on how to handle under pressure esp when busy. They also forgotten some of our drinks. The only good thing about this restaurant is the politeness of the waiters and being nice. The good thing is the deco but thats it. When you come to a restaurant you want good quality and tasty flavoured food. This is for people who like it bland and bland and even babies can eat it with no flavour. They need change the chef or re-train him. Otherwise avoid this restaurant.

Lovely welcoming staff. Intersting menu and fabulous food. The nan breads were hot, tasty & lovely consistency but the pilau rice was odd. More like a brown rice! Very good drinks menu with some intersting cocktails. The restaurant was busy but this didn't affect quality of service. They did mix up one of our orders but that was managed promptly & generously. Well worth a visit.

Soy un macho negro y él es pakistaní, tan pronto como entramos nos encontramos con un aspecto sucio y decepcionado por 2 chicos asiáticos que trabajan detrás de la factura. Un camarero amable joven árabe nos sentaron inmediatamente y tomó nuestros pedidos entrantes a la parrilla, la teníamos no estaban a mucho y lo que realmente nos hizo enojado era cómo el sheesh kebabs de pollo y cordero no eran así como el hecho de que estaban mal cocida, pero sirve en un sizzler así que hacerles cocinar un poco, pero aún así no eran lo suficientemente buenas. El pan Naan pedimos eran muy gruesas, así como caros y el Curry son claramente diseñado para aquellos que no entienden de verdad o verdadera cocina pakistaní apreciar lo es. El curry era comestible, pero totalmente carente de gusto, mi pollo uno sabía más como pollo con salsa de tomate y era el mismo para mi amigo que pidió un cordero al curry. Los precios de las bebidas eran mucho más altos de lo que debería ser comparado con lo mejor otros restaurantes en Birmingham, así que decidimos no pedir bebidas, especialmente dado lo Soso y sin sabor que estaba la comida. Entonces me di cuenta de que todos los otros clientes en el restaurante ese día eran blancas con muchos comprar alcohol se sirve aquí que es una sorpresa dado que este está destinado a ser un restaurante musulmán pero cada a su propia supongo. Una experiencia muy decepcionante y este lugar es un insulto a la auténtica cocina pakistaní, sólo aquellos que no entiendo esta cocina a menos que por supuesto puedo decir lo contrario los platos servidos con ellos son mejor que no me sorprendería si era el caso, pero quién sabe. El aparcamiento no es cerca o que fue la gota que colmó el vaso en nuestro caso.
