Istanbul Kebabs in Milton Keynes

Had the Double Up Deal, 2 pizzas and they were excellent. First visit but impressed so far. Will try the burgers next time. Delivery was £1.50 though it arrived within 30 minutes.

I don't care what the hygiene rating is in the door take no notice. I went into the shop and ordered a chicken kebab. The staff pick up the raw marinated chicken skewers from inside the cold cabinet and they pass them over the prepped salad on their way to the grill. A true recipe for food poisoning I will never have food from this place again.

Went at 4 pm been given all old meat. All dried. Spent £30 for dried food.

Food quality gone down , turks got greedy and show fake and unsincere loyalty towards customers who have used them for 20+ years, we should start avoiding businesses which do not put anything back into the local community and are only concerned about there profits entirely.

Ordered small kebab & Donner & shish kebab, easy to order and delivered within 45 minutes but neither very hot more luke warm normally pretty good so don't know what's gone wrong this time

Went on Saturday evening thinking that lamb kebab would be fresh, could not be worse… dry and cold pulled out of that pot …. Will never go again

I tried a mixed kebab (kofte and lamb shish), which was fairly average. Meat was nice and clean, but the taste was not exceptional.

By far the best kebabs in MK. Friendly staff and top quality food. The best thing about this takeaway is that the food quality is always consistent. The shop has a new layout and they also take orders on their website directly which is a plus. Cash machine near by.

Best place for fresh doner kebab

I’m sick of this place, everytime I go I get my self a kebab, and after every time I’ve ate the same night or day after I get the worse S***sever, and I’ve had more than just the doner, no idea what kind of hygiene the place has but the food can’t be good anymore if all I’m doing is s******g my guys out

So ordered 8 bits of chicken tonight and have to say only 2 bits of this chicken were edible, the rest were rubbish cuts of meat, I mean bones with nothing on them, it's not the first time this has happened but we learned to order more than we need to get some good cuts but this time it's got worse so that's it, no more chicken for you lot as I don't like getting ripped off !.

I ordered a chicken burger, chips and a mixed salad from here this evening. Arrived on time. The salad was bursting with so much freshness. The burger and the chips were delicious. And the portion size was massive. Will order again in future. Recommended.

Unfortunately this has happened before but I had 2 pizzas tonight as it’s my birthday but ever time I picked up a slice the whole topping fell off the dough !! Very disappointed won’t be having one again 🥲…. UPDATE!! 12/11/22 Since I last done this review I have tried their pizzas again and what an improvement they have made and only the weekend just gone I had one and it was superb and of course the legendary kebab so well done Istanbul’s. Definitely will be having more

Twice now we have had our kebabs from here, and I must admit this is the best kebab shop in Milton Keynes, excellent tasty fresh food, very well cooked, great portions and very good price. Next to try a pizza. Excellent takeaway shop

Absolutly shocking. Ordered through uber a small chicken kebab that they charge £9.20 for to get 6 tiny pieces of chicken that didn't even fill half the pitta. Not the place I remember it being

A good kebab house that has a wide selection of items available. You can get your standard doner, shish, kofta and chicken kebabs plus burgers and chips. However, if you want something different they also sell pizzas and fried chicken too. All sorts of cans and bottles of pop are available plus a selection of sweets including the must try Rum Baba. Staff are always friendly and welcoming. Prices are reasonable and they also have a delivery service as you cannot eat in. The only downside is that they are cash only. There is an atm a few doors down, but if that is not working you have a long walk to withdraw money. If they were to add card payments then this would be a five star rating

This takeaway is amazing. The best chicken kebab I’ve had in MK, and my partner loves the chicken and chips. My only gripe is that I have to order via Uber because they don’t take card payments! So we have to as a result of this pay a lot more for our food. That’s why it’s average, otherwise it’d be excellent

Have been ordering here for years but recently the customer service/food standards have been going down the drain. Preordered my food for a specific time over 1.5h in advance, and the order ended up being 30 minutes late! I called the shop chasing but the people answering the phone didn’t even let me talk - kept talking over me and asking for my husband even though I was the one who ordered. The shop didn’t even seem bothered that the order was so late, to top it off the driver apparently left our order until last even though it was preordered for a specific time!. I understand being 5-10 minutes late as anything can happen but this is just plain out of order. Horrible customer service! Will never be buying food here. Avoid at all cost

I live a few streets away, so Istanbul is often one of the only takeaways open when I fancy just some chips and onion rings. This was on boxing day — when I got home I found a shard of glass in my food.

Honestly, I have seen some really bad reviews on then here but I can't really comment on cuase I have never went past my comfort zone in their menu which is their beef burgers and chicken nuggets. Have been a regular costumer to them since the past 3 years , always gone to them for the special 1/2 pounder burger with onion lettuce and mayo on it and would highly recommend. Amazing lunch today, the food was hot, the meat cooked so well charcoal grill with chicken, kofte, shish, & doner, onion, peppers the salad so fresh and the 1/2 burger was delicious... would recommend to anyone , yum yum yum Update.. Just had the best chicken and 1/2 burgers iv had in months, had the usual KFC Mac D' over the weeks but none of them have the freshness, delivered hot taste of thesechicken and burgers.... Delicious 😋😋😋😋

Just threw away £10 worth of food from this place. Donner kebab tastes weird with a funny smell! Soooo oily, I lifted up the pitta bread and all I could see was loads of orange oil. Chips were very hard, way too over cooked.

Great tasting kebab, finally found one in MK. Meat is nicely done and has the extra grilled taste-which is how it should be done, salad just missing the red cabbage and a piece of lemon, glad I found this place, they delivered on time, not had much luck since I moved herewith other places, I def recommend this place-very nice food indeed-keep up the good work (Brooklands,Ark Royal). Keep up the good work! Pizzas are fries-nicely done too, any chance of adding a chicken doner to the menu?

Best take away in milton Keynes they get a lot of food from Costco because my dad works there and knows the owner... The staff work hard and deliver delicious food...

I love this place, however the prices are going up and the portion sizes are getting smaller. The Lamb shish is £10 now a smaller than ever. 😢

I ordered one of there donner kebabs and waited almost an hour. When it arrived chips luke warm and kebab cold. I called them up no apology just we get you another one sent. Always use but not sure if I will again.

Iv never been so angry and upset in all my life it's my boyfriend birthday and this was the only thing he could treat himself to we called up asked to pay by card you said no so he went to go to the cash point when u showed up with our food he asked nicely if he could run down there quickly to get the money put hes come back and you have gone we then called back up and you said we was rude when in fact we wasnt at all the driver said he has our food but not bring it back after a 5 minute phone call we finally got them to bring back the food over 30 mins later when we got it it was cold and under cooked I will not be coming back again and very disappointed

After ordering a couple of times and not having any problems me and my husband decided to order again from them this evening. I placed an order for collection over the phone and I was told it would be 50 minutes, or so the guy said that took my order, I did say “50, as in 5, 0, and he said, yes”, I then get a phone call within 35 minutes saying “am I collecting my order or what”, I tried explaining to the same guy that he said “50 minutes” and he carried on to deny that he had said that, being very rude to me for no reason. The order was very rushed and very rude. Will NOT be ordering from them again.

Absolutely brilliant kebabs. Soft Doner & Shish meat.. not greasy like the other places.. Chili sauce is very very nice. Salad is fresh.. very generous owners, ie they don’t scrimp on Chili or garlic sauce and sometimes go the extra mile to satisfy.. Wish them every success... maybe open another shop In MK near IKEA .. (as they only deliver 10mile radius.) lol

Best kebab in Milton Keynes!!! We are a loyal Istanbul Kebabs customers for years now...our favour is lamb shish kebab with garlic sauce & all salad for me/ white cabbage for my husband:). Absolutely to die for!!! Order once & you will just keep re-ordering!!! It is addictive:)...each and every friend I have recommended it to, love me even more now!!!:)

This place used to do good kebabs but just lately the kebabs have been poor. The meat is being microwaved. I’ve used this place for six years but not anymore. I’m not going to waste my money!

Once we were a bit short on cash and the driver was patient to wait without complaint. Drivers always very nice and pleasant.

The shop seems a little run down now

I've been here 8 times now and still have not eaten something badly cooked, or ridiculous cheap tasting. Always seem real friendly which for me is a must.

We decided to order pizzas this time as the kebabs here are fantastic. Was a bit disappointed with them, when they arrived they were luke warm and had to pop them back in the oven, which over crisps the bread. Also one of the pizzas was The Mexican Hot but to be honest was inedible as was ridiculously hot, I mean I like spicy stuff but compared to other brands of pizzas these are hurt your mouth hot. All in all a bit disappointed, will stick to the kebabs in future.

I always enjoy the food from here. My personal preference is the chicken kebab, but they do doner and shish kebabs (plus a vegetarian version), as well as burgers and pizzas, and some other options. The staff are all very friendly, and have a lot of regulars that they greet by name. It does get busy though, so sometimes there will be a bit of a wait, but I'd say it is worth it.

Blacklisted my house address with no explanation. I guess this is because I keep asking them to keep the food fresh on delivery notes, which they don’t like to see that. Their food aren’t fresh most of the time, I do not recommend this restaurant at any cost. 👎🏼

Had a poor experience this evening, had to chase my order only to find it had been lost, but it was too late to wait another 30-45mins. As a regular customer I’d have thought some offer would have been offered, but was just given a refund. I am now considering other outlets in the area as a result as it seems my repeat custom means nothing.

Not the Cheapest but excellent quality

Although there was a certain amount of rebuilding going on, my partner and I loved the visit. We were lucky to arrive on a beautiful day and were totally fascinated by the birds on display. The staff obviously worked hard and cared about all of the animals. We were given this day out as a gift and enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea. If you are interested in birds of prey it is a must visit. I also spent some time watching the meerkats and taking photos. They were really inquisitive.
