The best restaurants serving American food in Castle Swansea South Wales

Incredible food and service. My child is coeliac and enjoyed a lovely bowl of pasta she could have had pizza but chose pasta. No gluten free garlic bread but she was happy with her pasta.

Booked this venue prior to an event at the arena. I read the reviews and agree that upon entering, there is needless rubbish (chunks of polystyrene/ cardboard) at the entrance which really could have been cleared away within minutes. Entering, it is a nice looking venue but pardon my pickiness, the stairs/carpet looks like it could do with a good hoover. The menu is extensive and plenty of choice, our starters were very tasty and the mains (on our table and what we saw of other guests) were plentiful and generous. My wife's sautee potatoes were very greasy and off-putting although my steak and chips was delicious. We waited 25 minutes between courses/drinks which i thought was a bit excessive. The couple next to us waited 25 minutes for their coffee from ordering after their last course. There was a new waitress servicing our tables and had to ask other waiters several times what the table numbers were (there are small bits of paper with the table numbers on sellotaped to the sides of the tables). It was a bit strange and clunky having to tell the waitress what we had ordered. The staff are lovely and i genuinely felt for them but the whole experience felt like the staff and co-ordination was un-organised. We were there for 1.5 hours for a 2 course meal and ultimately had to ask for the bill with unfinished drinks and plates still on our table. Its a shame as the restaurant is very nice, the menu is fabulous, portion size is very generous and staff very welcoming. It was just too clunky for us and felt like it could have, through some simple adjustments, been a much better dining experience.

This place is great! Every time I go here the service and coffee is fab! It is small, but that’s what I like, it’s a perfect place to have a chilled catch up with a mate or to work on an assignment

Ordered a steak rare, came to the table medium/well done. Complained and was told I couldn't have another as I had the last steak of that kind. No option for a different steak. Also no discount offered

If i could review less than one star i would. We called to book an event for a student night, letting them know online that we would be paying the price with student discount. It was then told us when we came to pay that we would not be receiving that discount although that’s what we told them we wanted to book when we made our booking online. Throughout the whole meal we took our empty drinks up to the bar to help the staff and they were consistently rude to us. They also didn’t provide enough seats for our party even though we booked for 20 only 16 seats were provided. I will never come here again for a brunch. This service is absolutely outrageous. I highly recommend that you do not book here as the service and staff are absolutely disgusting and severely rude. I did not feel comfortable here once due to the outrageous rudeness from staff members. The blonde womean working at the time started shouting at me over the bar about not allowing us student discount as apparently we went over our time, although i thought it was their job to keep track of the time that we have left of the bottomless drinks. The man with blonde hair was also extremely rude when adding extra seats to our table, consistently blaming us for the lack of seats. I’ve never felt so uncomfortable in a setting. Never book here.

Burger was good chips were cold and hard driver was ringing me couldn’t understand a word as he had a face mask on which would worry people about opening the door

Nothing but positive things to say about the beefeater, friendly and welcoming staff, lovely food cooked and served well. Great environment, good energy, we really enjoyed our visit. Staff are very accommodating, positive and smiley. Big shout out to ‘Shez’ they didn’t stop on both our visits, genuine lovely person, big personality, friendly, helpful and so kind to our son, remembered us during our visit to Swansea and really made our experience pleasant. They are a credit to the team. Will be back next time in Swansea

Very sorry to read today that the TGIF in Swansea will be closing. While visiting the city on three occasions, I ate at the restaurant and always had a good meal with excellent service. I wish the staff there all the best for the future.

Our table was never properly cleaned. At one point there were eight tables that were not operational. Staff walked past and did not seem to care. I gather in one of the ladies toilet cubicles there was no toilet paper, whilst in the men's one if the hand dryers did not work . I emailed customer services, pointing out my observation. Guess what the manager has banned me. Do not go to this pub.

Fantastic place, staff members were really helpful and pleasant. Food was great, really tasty and loads of it! Had to bring some home. Would definitely recommend

Went in and was immediately asked if I wanted a keebab. Ordered chips beans and cheese. When I got back to my car, only chips and beans. Went back and was given attitude until the young girl found my receipt. When I finally opened my order again, it had chips, beans a tiny tiny portion of cheese on top. When be ordered from home at this place on Uber, it’s been great. Disgusting behaviour and service. Seems like the person preparing the food was being spiteful, as he was wrong. Will never order again.

Really disappointed with my visit this time, been here before and the service was great but this time it took a bit of time for someone to seat us despite there being only 1 other person in the diner. Then there were no staff at all, pressed buzzer on table and no one came out. Just ended up leaving in the end, emailed to complain but no answer after 2 attempts from the diner.
