Popped in this afternoon for a latte and an Americano with 1 scone. The coffees arrived...my Americano wasn't the hottest...both coffees were finished and no sign of the scone. I went to pay and told the server to forget the scone as our coffees were finished. £7.40 for two coffees?

Ate at this restaurant on a quite Friday afternoon with colleagues from work. Restaurant was lovely with great views of the golf course. Food was really nice and very good portions but maybe a little expensive for myself. Waiting staff were very poor… they didn’t know about gluten free food or drinks, they dropped the onion rings on the table and totally forgot one of the orders which we they had come back and take after we highlighted it. Staff let the place down.

Been here a few times now, foods good, quite clean but for the customer service? Where do i even get started with this, for starters the staff are just blatantly rude, making complaints about ur order infront of you, never have enough stock in, come here for my usual all the time and am normally told they don’t have ham or something. When I walk in the door I am normally greeted with someone telling me there’s no chips, which by the way how do u know if I want chips? Sort ur staff.

Just a wee day out, ended up in Troon looking for somewhere to eat, and what a find Tempura was. Can’t fault the food or service at all, 10 out of 10, 5 stars, however you rate it, top marks.

We stayed at the days Inn at Abington services and whilst we were there thought we'd try out Harry Ramsdens ,not expecting it to be anything special being at the motorway services, how wrong we were ,we had jumbo ( belive me it was huge )fish and chips which was beautifully cooked and amongst the best we've every tasted ,my son had sausage and chips that was always very good indeed and generous portions ,it was extremely good value costing £25 for the 3 meals ,the staff were very pleasant and polite ,the eating area was nice and clean though we choose to eat in the outdoor eating area overlooking the countryside ,we enjoy so much we ate there once again highly recommended

Now rebranded as The Canny Man, I believe it's under new management and they're working hard to re-establish this as a local favourite. We went on a Sunday afternoon for lunch with another couple, it wasn't busy and the staff were super welcoming. I had the lentil soup to start which was outstanding but the bread came with really unpleasant spread rather than real butter.. The wife had the chicken tempura starter which was "ok" but considering it's £7.50 it was really small. All 4 of us had the roast beef main and it was fantastic! The beef was cooked perfectly and the Yorkshire puddings were perfect, extra gravy on the side would be a welcome addition though.. The sticky toffee pudding was average and the Oreo sundae was pretty forgettable tbh.. We did enjoy our meal busy mostly because of the great roast, if they put the same effort in to the starters and desserts it would be so much better. For X4 three courses and a drink each the bill was around £130.. this is kinda average these days but I think there's better value to be had in the area. The staff were amazing and very attentive without being intrusive. We'll definitely be back.. but probably just for a main course.

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. My experience at this Burger King was nothing short of a culinary catastrophe. First and foremost, the service was abysmally slow. I stood in line for what felt like an eternity, only to be greeted by a staff that seemed utterly disinterested in their jobs. The lack of urgency was appalling, and it was clear that customer satisfaction was not on their agenda. Upon finally receiving my order, I was met with a travesty of a burger. The patty was dry and flavorless, as if it had been cooked weeks prior and simply reheated. The bun was stale, crumbling into a sad heap in my hands, and the toppings were meager at best. It felt as though they were trying to skimp on every ingredient possible. To make matters worse, the fries were cold and soggy, devoid of the crispy perfection one would expect. It was as if they had been sitting under a heat lamp for hours, waiting for someone, anyone, to take them. And let’s not even discuss the cleanliness of the establishment. The tables were sticky, and the floor looked as though it hadn’t seen a broom in days. It’s astonishing how a fast-food joint can manage to be both chaotic and filthy at the same time. In conclusion, this Burger King was a complete disappointment. I left feeling more dissatisfied than full, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, not even my worst enemy. Save your money and your taste buds—there are far better options out there!

Visited this restaurant after seeing it on TV. All I can say is the food is really poor and not at all what I was expecting. Cumberland sausage is nothing like Cumberland sausage. It is more like a processed herby hot dog sausage. The burger was under seasoned and had watery fluid running out of it which had sent all the bread soft. The chips were like frozen oven chips and really disappointing. Such a shame as the staff were lovely…. But I really would give it a miss - there are far better eateries in Kendal.
