The best restaurants serving American food in Central Scotland

Going to concert. Busy day as lights were being turned on too. Could get a table here. And it was great. The choice for gluten free was excellent. Fantastic salad bowl.

Staying in Campbeltown, a local person reccomended the Kintyre at Ugadale, having been to a whisky event early evening and not wishing my partner to have to drive, we initially thought it would not be possible. To then find that the hotel/restaraunt offer a mini bus sevice at our convenience from and back to town it seemed like a good idea. Picked up by a very nice chap in the mini bus, on time, agreed a t time with him for return and arrived for an 8pm booking. Excellent surroundings, decor, staff were cheerful and efficient food was superb wine was very good and not over priced, bill was more than acceptable for two excellent courses and wine. Scallops and potted shrimp starters were beautifully presented and excellent, Carolines fish was both plentiful and perfectly cooked, my fillet steak was as good as I have had anywhere and cooked perfectly. Portions meant the sweet menu was not required. Drink in the bar as we waited for the driver. He had suggested 9:30, we said 10, he was right. However beer was good and the staff delightful. (hope you enjoy the concert Chloie) A good solution if you are looking for an excellent meal in a special sort of place, wouldn't hesitate to go again even if it was just to try the fish and chip and burger options on the very varied menu.

I stayed in this hotel in April and I had the most outstanding, above and beyond service, from a lovely lady called Lauren. She was attentive, kind and helped me make sure my stay was special and memorable. The hotel itself is very well situated and some rooms have a view like my picture here. Honestly such a lovely stay and Lauren was a huge part of why it was so great. I hope all your staff are like her.

Was Cold and the salad was missing the shredded cabbage

Nice and quiet atmosphere. We had the calamari.....chicken wings and haggis nachos. All were delicious. Then we had the steak and ale pie.....chicken parmesan......aged steak and a large Royal salad. All were off the chart delicious.

Parece que sólo te sirven si eres local, incluso cuando un local dijo que mi marido estaba esperando a ser servido él todavía fue ignorado. Mi marido dijo al personal que estaba esperando ser servido, totalmente ignorado. Huelga decir que nos fuimos y fuimos a otro lugar como lo hicimos en nuestra segunda noche. No volvería a tener ese trato poco profesional ya que era obvio que los 3 miembros del personal lo vieron, lo miraron y lo ignoraron

Food great staff fab great place

Very poor standard of staff service at the Kingsgate store. Only one person in front of me and took five minutes to serve them despite 3 staff behind counter a.d another cleaning although when sat all tables required a. Clean. Interaction throughout this once efficient process was limited and no explanation of the way the store operates. Management really need to look at staff interactions with customers.

Steak barn rustic great for meat lovers steaks..burgers..kebabs..beetroot and goats cheese starter was outstanding 👌 menu is fabulous and love the benches..

Once again the fries that are part of the meal deal have been forgotten. Burgers are tasty but kids are disappointed with the lack of fries.

Very small burgers and too much fries

No where was is reported online that this place is closed. We've come twice once on a Thurs and once on a Friday drive 20 mins to get here when it says it's open at around 6pm and it's closed completely. NO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. no one got back to us when we tried to book, no phone number to call, and their Facebook and insta ignored us. I'll never go to this chain again.

Now called Ben Lui restaurant. DONT GO! Diabolical. Had to ask them to take an order. After one hour 3 of 4 starters arrived, no cutlery. After chasing the fourth starter. Two main courses arrived whilst eating starters then a third then no fourth main course or cutlery. Had to go and ask for fourth main course and more cutlery. Macaroni was made with mozzarella and was most peculiar.Had to go and ask for bill. Grossly overpriced. Food below average although to be fair the pizza was alright. All tables experienced this. Over two hours for food extra. Staff ignored us and most of other customers

Staying in hotel on a Tuesday evening and went to the restaurant at 6.20pm only to be told it was closed. Sent into public bar but left quickly as the atmosphere was really bad. Read hotel reviews for other comments about bar. Messaged hotel re restaurant who said it closed at 6.30pm and on querying this, they apologised. As with the hotel, I just aren't able to recommend this place. Better to give it all a bye.

called in most mornings for fresh rolls with square sausage .. brilliant, all the products we tried were great lovely and fresh
