TJ's Diner in Stirling

We Visited here just after Christmas, prior to the new year. We have visited her previously and always try to return. Firstly I would like to address the “review” by Bethany T just further down….it sounds as though they had absolutely no intention of paying to eat here and got caught trying to sneak in and use the toilet! Then tried to discredit the friendly staff by leaving a bad review. I hope that you get caught more often and learn to be more honest with reviews that can damage businesses unnecessarily. Anyway, on to my review…. It was lovely to see the staff again at TJ’s - especially Mary who seems to always be here whenever he have come in the past. Mary was cheerful and happily took our order, which was cooked deliciously and served promptly. I had bacon, fries and a lemonade, my partner had the pancake breakfast stack and a black coffee. We then shared a pancake stack with syrup and ice cream. We left feeling content and very full. It was sad to hear the news about TJ’s and we wish the staff all the best for the future. You will all be an asset to whoever employs you. Thank you for your service over the years and always looking after us.

Very friendly staff, food was excellent, hot and tasty I went for the burger and fries, best burger I've ever had. Certainly didn't skimp on toppings and not sure if the bun was homemade...but I certainly tasted like it, It was our first time in tj's and definitely won't be our last Highly recommended

Spent a total of 7 minutes here and was a complete waste of time so hoping this review saves you even going in. Initially thought it was closed as the restaurant was dark and empty. Walked in to no one until a few seconds later we see someone come over. We stood awkwardly in front of her waiting for some form of greeting or even a ‘table for 2?’ Or…anything. Nothing came so I decided to head to the toilet before sitting down. My partner had the same idea and asked the waitress ‘where’s the toilet?’ She seemed shocked by this clear inconvenience of a question and pointed towards the toilets and rudely muttered ‘right there’. As we entered the doors she said ‘well are you sitting down?’ We replied ‘yes we’ll just go to the toilet first’ she asked ‘where then?’ My partner pointed to a random seat and said there. The restaurant was empty…. It didn’t really matter at all and if it did surely she would have asked us when we entered the building and were standing in front of her. We left the bathroom (with no light so had to use a torch) to go to a random seat in the restaurant and sat for five minutes (yes I kept tracked) and no one came. I had already decided I didn’t want to get much as I didn’t want to give them my money based on that ‘warm’ winters welcome so was going for the cheapest thing on the menu. Again… The restaurant was empty. We were the only two in the building and no one came to take an order. Instead of wasting anymore time in a place we were clearly not welcome we upped and left. She heard the commotion of us leaving and finally decided to make an appearance yelling after us “I take it you’re not wanting anything then?” Clearly. Don’t bother wasting your time here. Carry on up the road to Glen Coe to The Gathering for mouth watering mains and desserts for a fantastic price!

TJ's diner was amazing, stopped off for dinner on our way to Pitlochry and so glad we did. Burgers were so tasty and so pleased they had gluten free buns and the halloumi fries were the best ones we've ever had. Would definitely go back 😃

Unfortunately when we arrived there was no chef. We had to wait half an hour for him to arrive. The food was okay but nothing exceptional. It was hot and served well. I think to be honest we all had higher expectations after reading the reviews. Maybe we just caught them on an off day.

Unintentionally ended up in the TJ Diner. (Planned to go next door to the Real Food restaurant but it was heaving and there was a massive queue for a table) Decided to try the diner and really glad we did ! We were staying near Glencoe and TJ Diner became a place we headed to after exploring for the day. Visited 3 times, and enjoyed their outstanding American Pancakes, waffles, and their gorgeous burgers which we might add are to die for!! Total Scottish hospitality, the staff in there were attentive and absolutely lovely. Greeted by a lovely Scottish lady each time who recognised us, thank you for looking after us. We wish we could take this lovely establishment and staff back to Essex with us! Thank you

Needed to stop for food and pulled into a typical place to eat, staff were very friendly and food was freshly cooked and certainly really tasty and great value for money. We've stopped off here a few times when traveling up and down to Glencoe. The service is usually good and the food tasty, fairly typical diner. Today we stopped off as usual on the way home and one of the waitresses was very surly. Don't know if she's new or not, never seen her before, but asian appearance, blue tinted hair and round glasses... she barely made eye contact, zero interest in interacting with any of the tables. Just awful, and in direct contrast to previous visits where staff have been welcoming and truly interested in our experience. Order was delivered fast, food and drinks up to usual standard, but this one girl needs a few lessons in customer interaction if she wants to continue to work in any service industry.

Lunch stop on our Highlands tour. The best Falafel burger I have ever had! Fun atmosphere, great for family with kids. Service was fast and servers were very nice.

Just happened upon the diner whilst driving through from Oban heading south. WoW!! What else can I say, that's the best burger I have ever eaten. The service was quick and friendly. Everyone was extremely happy in our family. West Burger = 10/10 Spicy chicken stack =10/10 Will be coming back 👍👍

Not a lot of choice where to eat in Tyndrum but this ticked the boxes after a long hike . Service friendly and efficient, food freshly cooked and tasty. It is what it says on the box … an American diner. Good , fast food .

Had breakfast here last week to try somewhere different while staying in the area. It wasn't very busy but our breakfast seemed to take forever to arrive at out table. Infact we'd both finished our coffee before our breakfast arrived. All in all it was a decent breakfast if not a bit over priced for what it was, but that's standard for that area. Would we go back..... no. The place is a really nice idea, but just doesn't at all fit in with what people visiting the area are looking for (in my opinion).

back for another banquet worthy of a king! and oh boy did we feel like royalty when we walked in the door and we were IMMEDIATELY greeted by one of a kind MARY, enthusiastic, fantastic and boombastic as always!! the place was poppin’ and perculating AF! mary popped a squat right beside us in the booth, we ordered 2 glasses of water to drink and when i say they were THE MOST DELISHIOUS things we’ve ever had! they were so quenchy they must have been sourced from the very glacier that sank the titanic!!!! for food we ordered pancakes each and they were very accommodating to my very unusual eating habits. when the food come out let me assure the only thing fluffier than the pancakes is my cat’s lil tummy and oh boy did they pack a flavour punch and i’m talking mike tyson vs king kong in a royal rumble punch! we devoured the pancakes and left measly little crumbs. we were heartbroken and distraught to have to get the bill and leave to return back to scummy gloomy fife. TJS has such special places in our hearts, it fills us right up to the top with so much love and happiness every time we visit. Please open up a venue in fife. From the ambiance to the service this was an amazing experience! The customer service was fantastic. The burgers were stunningly delicious! The milk shakes were amazing! You have to go there and experience this American Icon!

We are American and went to this American style diner. It was so cute. Americana for decor and license plates from some states. The food was delicious, the milkshakes were even better and the staff was so delightful. I highly recommend TJ’s!!
