Super fun! Great great atmosphere and a good bar to watch football. Trisha was so kind and help accommodate us! Definitely recommend!

My partner and myself decided to travel through to Perth from Dundee for an afternoon outing. We decided to pop into The Foundry for a spot of lunch before doing some shopping. First impression was good, seemed quite busy for a Saturday afternoon. Atmosphere was great, bustling wee pub inside. Warm and well kept. Ordered drinks first, draught cola seemed to be lacking any flavour, not sure if the syrup had maybe run out as it was draught however didn’t want to mention anything as I didn’t want to cause a fuss. Absolutely ravenous we decided on what we were having and ordered through the app for convenience and decided to order starters first, we went for the 3 plates for £13 - we ordered the halloumi fries, haggis fritters and the loaded cheeseburger fries. We waited over 45 minutes for these starters to arrive and when partner asked the barmaid if the food was going to be much longer she was abrupt towards him stating she only had one chef on and then walked away, food arrived shortly after we had asked what was happening, the food was presented well however it was cold. At this point I had already ordered our mains but after the interaction with the member of staff we regretted ordering anything else. No surprise another 45 minutes later our mains arrived, I had a sirloin steak with a fried egg, chips and a tomato with the peppercorn sauce and partner opted for the hunters chicken. Both mains were cold, rubbery chicken that was tough (partner is the least fussy person in the world and never complains or leaves any food) had to dispose of chicken in a napkin that he could not eat. Steak was similarly disappointing, ordered it medium and the tiny strip that did arrive was as tough as old boots, chewy and cold. Not worth £18 odd in my opinion. Good atmosphere however staff lacking in any basic customer service skills, completely understand the pressure if understaffed however this should not be taken out on customers. The barmaid we had the interaction with in particular was very rude, she was storming around the establishment clearly not able to cope with the pressure and we noticed we weren’t the only ones that she shouted at and was rude to. It’s a shame as we usually like our local Greene King in Dundee, however not sure we will be back here.

When I showed up, the crowd seemed kind of dull, but before I left, this place had a great atmosphere. The beer was cold, service prompt, and the food was good. If I was here more than 1 night I'd definitely go back.

Please note that this is now a dog friendly pub Last night our experience was ruined by 3 dogs running around barking and running up and down wooden stairs stairs in the toilet areas. Also sniffing around our table and person whilst we were trying to eat a meal Not a good experience and we will definitely not be back. The staff were very polite and courteous

This is a dog friendly pub. However our experience here was awful. There were a lot of dogs just roaming about not on leads, annoying us when we were eating. Curling up under our table! I asked a young couple to please remove their two dogs from my table and was given a mouthful of abuse. Unacceptable. We will not be back. Staff response was to remind us it was a dog friendly pub but they would check the cctv. A dog kept jumping up at a waiter as she tried to get into the kitchen with used plates. There is also an overriding smell of dog.

Great that it's open for food 7 days. Popped in to treat mum for 87th birthday. Staff couldn't have been more obliging regarding wheelchair and surprise 🎂... friendly and attentive. Quick service. Perfect pub grub. (Ma n Pa will be back to sample pensioners menu!!) Brilliant Monday lunch experience.

It was my first visit tonight and it was relaxing and reasonably quiet at a Wednesday is expected to be. First impression was it was very clean and well kept, the bar staff this evening were happy and service was prompt and they served a fantastic pint!! Highly recommend if you’re in for a couple on a short stay like I was.

My friend and myself ( from Dundee ) decided to have a day in Perth. We decided to have a drink in foundry bar 4pm on 01/08/24. We were met by a very rude barmaid, on asking what gins were available? We were met with there they are there all the gins, Arms flaying , my friend then said I meant flavours not brands as she couldn't see them. Said barmaid angrily read out flavours slamming bottles down. A good customer service training programme urgently required!!! Won't be back or recommending this pub to friends or family. UPDATE.....After speaking with the manager who apologised regarding our experience. My friend and myself will definitely be back next time we are in Perth.

It’s a must visit when in Perth weather breakfast,lunch or evening meals ,All great food and reasonable priced drinks . Manager and her staff very professional and welcoming.

Great place for a quick and easy burger. £10.00 for a burger and a pint. If a pint is not your thing no issue, they have non alcoholic drinks you can choose from. The Balmoral burger was out of this world!

The Foundry is, without question, a truly wonderful and welcoming pub. Last week was our second visit, and it was every bit as good as the first. The food is fabulous – the katsu chicken is beyond compare, and my husband’s macaroni cheese was, as he said, completely delicious. Amy, our waitress, while seriously efficient and knowledgeable, was full of chat and smiles and so able to put us at our ease. A delight!!! When we are in Perth the Foundry is our only port of call for an evening of excellent food, wonderful service, and a truly lovely atmosphere. Thank you, everyone.

Visited today, around midday. Prices and service couldn't be faulted. Chicken burger was delicious. However the gravy in the steak was quite runny. It wouldn't stop us going again but worth mentioning.

We visited on a Tuesday at half 6 to a semi busy pub. We ordered our food through the app and received our drinks quickly, however the food took an hour to come! Once the food came I found that my burger was still red in the middle. I could have said something at the time, but after waiting an hour for a simple order we did not want to hang around any longer. However on a more positive note, my partner got the salt and pepper chilli chicken and said it was very nice. Staff seemed to be very busy running around trying to serve people at the bar, so maybe more staff is needed, especially when something is on in the concert hall. We will not be back for food however still a lovely pub to go for a drink.

Have gone here a few times in the past year when in Perth for a day out and the place has a nice atmosphere with reasonably priced drinks and the draught Tennent`s always tastes nice. Might try the food some time when I`m back there.

Ordered from the app at our table on a Sunday evening at 6:45 pm. Several menu items specifically from the Sunday dinner were not available. Appetizer arrived 30 minutes later. No cutlery on our table. Had to ask bar tender for cutlery because there only seemed to be one table waiter and she was run off her feet. Main course arrived 45 minutes after ordering. Beer only showed up after mentioning its absence to same lone table waiter. Fish and chips was remarkably unremarkable. Thankfully there wasn't much of it on the plate. The place was quite busy, so something other than service or food is drawing in customers.

Our first time and we were welcomed. We were also notified that the chef was on his break as soon as we were seated. It wasn't a long break because he returned and delivered a splendid fish and chips with mushy peas. Perfectly done. He also explained the name as we were not locals. Definitely deserves a second visit 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾

One of the few places seemingly serving food on a Tuesday. Dog friendly and veggie/vegan menus. Friendly and gracious staff, chain pub food, but in a satisfyingly familiar and well priced way. Will remember for future visits.

Popped in here for a couple of drinks with friends and a lovely atmosphere. Music good but not too loud, could still have a conversation. Good to see dog friendly as well, we didn't have ours but there was some people with dogs. I don't think I'll be back for the food though as I'm vegetarian and the menu looked all fake meat or mushrooms, about the only things I won't eat 🤣

Decided to lunch here today, pretty miserable day out there, so some nice food would change the mood! Four of us, found a table perused the menu and choices made! My wife and cousins wife headed to the bar to order and get the drinks! The young server behind the bar obviously didn’t want to be there in no shape or form! Her face was tripping her! The girls came back with the drinks and we waited, and waited, and waited! Young server came to our table, delivered cutlery, no eye contact, no hello, how are you, in fact no nothing! Eventually we were furnished with 3 of the four meals, small portions, my hunters chicken had been zapped to death, even my knife wasn’t making much of a difference! 13 chips dawned the plate! I asked young server if we could maybe get the fourth meal to be met with a look of disgust and” I’ll see if it’s ready”! We were waiting on the curry, which was being served with chips because there was no rice! Only a hundred shops within walking distance selling rice! it came with no apology! We left without dessert as no one came to clear or see how our meals were! Definitely the worst service I’ve seen in a long time! I’m a seasoned chef of 51 years service and certainly wouldn’t tolerate what we were offered today! Maybe the wee girl should go and find a job outwith the hospitality industry?? Management need to take a look at this situation!

A large group of people were in town for a funeral, so a bit sombre. The bar manager was very understanding and let us rearrange tables and basically send our friend off in style.

Best sports bar in Perth, I was in here most days for the world rugby cup and the six nations, a lot of TVs posted around the bar, food is really good and not bad prices for the drinks.

The foundry is the best pub in Perth for watching rugby. I was in here for the rugby World Cup and six nations. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the food is great . Would highly recommend if you enjoy watching rugby or any other sports.

Had the seniors 3c offer - my wife and I - with 2 ciders - all served with a smile and politeness - good value as always - manageress in particular, chatty and willing to offer a sample of the "new" inch cider.

lovely 2 course OAP'S lunch cheap as chips!! Excellent value and good portions plus a good pint of Guinness too swally it down x2 braw.and the server was very good at her job in serving the meals and of course serving the aperitifs!!

Food is very average. Portion size is very small for what you're paying. Plus side, staff friendly and efficient.

Popped in for a quick pre-dinner drink. Nice bar with plenty of seating. Pool table seemed popular.

£3.50 cocktails on a Wednesday and the football was on. Everyone seemed normal and not stabby. I didn't have any food so can't comment.

Burger are proper decent, this place is like a way better spoons and it's dog friendly

Macaroni was dry and bland. Chips cold and oven chips. Salad and coleslaw ok. Partner had fish said it was ok. Granddaughter had southern chicken burger was ok. Dry with a bit of mayonnaise. Staff were friendly and dogs allowed but expensive for what they served.

Came in on christmas eve for a christmas lunch with the family. The table was set lovely, very festive. The staff were all amazing as they always are. The food was amazing. we had the 3 courses and evrything was brilliant. It is our go to place.

Visited The Foundry with a group of colleagues on a Wednesday afternoon. It was our Christmas lunch. We had to preorder and pay a £5 deposit per person if ordering from the Christmas menu. The Christmas menu was really good with a lot of options. They also had gluten free options. I had the festive burger and a chocolate mocha tart. Both were really good. The staff were attentive and very friendly. I'd happily go back to try their standard menu.

Family Christmas meal out, and this was amazing. When we arrived the lass who served us was really pleasant (I love that) We got our starters and to say they were great is an understatement (I had chicken strips). The rest of the food matched and we left totally contented. Price was very reasonable too

Booked for BREAKFAST WITH SANTA Warm atmosphere, staff were fantastic from the moment we arrived too the moment we finished. Nothing was too much trouble for Ian, Amy, and Trisha The three of them made the whole experience wonderful. Our 2 girls (aged 10 and 5) had a fab time, neon party after meeting Santa went down a treat and a bit of face paint. Food was fab, breakfast wrap was stacked, bacon and scrambled eggs were simple and filling (comes served with toast), and kids just opted for toast and jam. Thank you to all the staff and a Merry Christmas when the time comes.

Considering we were a party of 14 people on a December Saturday night, everything went as well as could be expected. Delicious meals all served in superb quality and excellent service. Thank you to the staff who were so friendly.

Just wanted to say to say how much we enjoyed ourselves today (4 November), the table that was booked for us had a perfect view of the TV for the football match . The food came quickly and was amazing and the service was fantastic. The staff never stopped!! Credit to you all! Xxx

I used to love coming here to play pool but since the pool tables have moved there's nothing to come for. Just an average pub with average pub atmosphere. The staff have always been great.

Trish and Ian were the highlight. Gave me a South African flag when the Springboks won the rugby World Cup!! Great place to go in a group.

Great centrally located sports bar with good brews on tap. Comfortable, casual, well priced, cozy, you can enjoy it open even on Sunday and grab a convenient cab or bus home just outside.

Enjoyed a senior meal and a bottle of wine. Friendly bar maid who also brought the meals. Well worth a visit.

Went for a commemorative drink as it was our late father's favourite pub. Its under new ownership and we think its lost a little of the rustic feel and look, lights could be dimmed a little at 1st it felt like being in a hospital. Stayed for a quick half then left.

I was pleasantly surprise the last time we went here and got food. I’m not going to lie my cheese burger tasted rather like the Golden Arches one. On a Saturday night with the bar full of punters it did take a bit longer to get served and the food to come out but we were not disappointed

EASILY the worst place I've ever been. Saturday night after race day and it was way understaffed , toilet was blocked and overflowing plus our table booking was forgotten about. But worse was to come. The food was simply diabolical and if you can't cook burger and chips you seriously need to consider another career. Shame on you Green King.

6 of us enjoyed the Sunday roast (I wish I took a photo). Such great value and can't fault anything that was on the plate. My fav from my plate was the turkey, cauliflower cheese and roasties. Unfortunately as the portion was so big, we didn't have room for dessert! Will be back on a future Sunday soon 😊

First time visiting and we enjoyed the lovely food served by very friendly bar staff.

Despite it being super busy with the rugby, the place was clean and tidy and we got a seat! I ordered the Pinot Grigio which wasn’t to my liking and it was no trouble at all to change it to the Sauvignon blanc. Janet was a star and was so understanding about it.

Average food, very busy establishment due to the range of food and drink prices. Dog friendly was a real bonus, plenty of party groups who were having a great time. Maybe in a different situation we might have enjoyed it better, however it does meet lots of requirements for a night out.

What a great place to take a meal or enjoy some drinks. The ambience is very cozy. Kind regards from Germany to „Ewan“ (I hope I wrote his name right)! He is a very kind bar keeper and is always helpful. We hope to come back one time ☺️

Nice local pub. Not whiskey experts and limited choice so would probably recommend sticking to beers, wines, cocktails. Need to jostle for service at times, particularly when the movie place patrons from across the road drop in while waiting for a bus. Friendly staff.

Had a meal on the 29/06/2023 at 16:53 - ordered 2 steak thursday Sirloin and 2 strongbow ciders - barista - Dora - looked rather vague - offered me 2 x peppercorn sauce add-ons "free" - checked my bill - discovered charged an "extra" £3.98 - queried this - told she could not refund - also no ciders - only dark fruit! Not happy - eventually got the £3.98 refund from Amy - duty manager authorised - steaks came pink despite requesting well done - also meal was cold - spoke to Amy at door who requested I note these complaints - not happy!! Is there a refund of my £36 or a "free" meal as compensation as I am a regular customer of the Foundry - requested a written response!!

Busy pub in the centre of Perth Downloaded the app to order and seemed to navigate it pretty easily. Hunters chicken was okay, could have been bigger and the chips were a bit sparce. Pudding was a crumble, Staff needed reminded we had ordered desserts , but after an explanation, we were soon given our sugar addiction All in all, decent for the price.

Was quieter as it was a Tuesday,clean, friendly bar staff,good choice of food reasonable prices.

Good quality food, hadn't been here in ages, new menus was decent! the only thing i would say is that the portions were maybe a bit too small but i guess that comes to personal preference and how hungry you are (could have ordered more food i guess). Overall it was a good visit, will definitely eat here again.
