With out a doubt Shax has the best burgers in Dundee! The burgers are thinly smashed to perfection, with their own homemade burger sauce which has a tiny hint of heat to it. Shax fries are 2nd to none, crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle and if you go for the cheesy fries you are in for a treat😋 I usually go for the cheddar skirt burger, but today I wanted to try the newcomer on Shax menu (Philly Cheesesteak in a sub). Nice and soft sub/baguette and the beef and green peppers where cooked to perfection, topped with a tasty cheese sauce. Will definitely order the Philly Cheese steak again. The pistachio milk shake is also great and I would recommend trying it. I have to travel over the bridge from Fife as there are no decent burgers in Fife and it is well worth the travel!!

I love shax. I got the mini loaded fries (nashvielle fries) is a pretty huge portion, I couldn't finish it! It's was just nice right of spice and plenty of chicken. I also had the kinder milkshake which was really nice and thick. Staff members are really nice too :D

As I was stopping at St Andrews a few nights I thought i would try the viral Shax burger place. I’m not really a fan of meat burgers but the food was phenomenal, especially the Nashville tenders. I would highly recommend anyone to try the food! Brilliant customer service alongside perfect food! Thank you!

Great food, super slow delivery

Order was initially delayed 25 minutes, and despite delay took another 15 to arrive

Ordered for 20 people, for collection, 2 hours before, every thing was ready exactly for the time requested, food was excellent, very tasty and everyone thoroughly enjoyed

This is the best burger in town! You have to try the brisket bbq burger! The meat is so rich in flavour with a kick of smokey hint and it all melt in your mouth! The portion is filling and super generous. We always order this. For those who prefer non-spicy burger, the best option will be big smoke. Their milkshake is also super! Worth every penny.

Restaurant always claiming busy but should be capping orders so people aren’t waiting 2 hours for a burger it’s pathetic to be honest.

Arrived before the estimated collection time to be at the shop ready then received a notification saying the food was ready to collect but proceeded to wait an extra 30 minutes before food was ready

The soy patties in the OG Vegan Burger were a bit too salty.

Originally was showing about 45 minute delivery but didn’t show up for an hour and a half. The chips were cold and to top everything off the driver dropped my free GLASS bottle of J2o right at my front door. Glass smashed and all I got was a sorry and a goodbye, usually really enjoy my food from Shax but feel let down by my experience tonight :(

Really tasty food for very good prices! I would highly recommend the Big Smoke burger. More of a take away place but you can sit in to eat.

Best burgers in Dundee, hands down.

Unfortunately the food was sat for a while whilst I was waiting for it and the food was cold by the time we got home (5mins) from the store.

No halal sign or any proof of certificate. I don’t deny food was delicious and staff services were excellent. The guy name Ahemed was very helpful. Please stick the halal sticker on the front door. And please keep the halal certificate. Which will help others customers. So they don’t miss delicious burgers from your take away.

As a chef I know it doesn’t take two hours to deep fry chicken and chips and delivery. As well no serviette, no cutlery. Disappoint. It’s been a year since I’ve come here and it’s just gotten worse. Only got a third of my refund as well as the food is stale cold.

Food was amazing albeit a bit cold and there was an item missing which was promptly refunded. Main gripe is delivery time. Ordered at 20:07 and didn’t arrive until around 22:45 which is far too long of a wait.

came to Shax burgers after watching a video review and must say was not disappointed at all. Son is a burger officianado and he gave this a double bubble thumbs up. The staff are super friendly and know their stuff. Burgers were cooked and presented perfectly. Juicy,well seasoned generous double patties with just the right amount of sauce/salad to bun ratio. One bite was all it took .... so you've tried the rest now try the best 👌 Much love from Edinburgh.

Food was late chips were soggy and cold burger wasn’t that great I’m gluten free so ordering a take away is very expensive I paid £19 for a take away to be so so late I couldn’t even eat it. So disappointing I’ve ordered from hear before and it was amazing this is such let down..

The food was great but it took around 2 hours from ordering to get to us. The estimated time of delivery was already changed once. Appreciate it was Saturday night but this should have already been factored in.

I recommend the Nashville chicken tenders the most. They were so moist and soft, spicy but not too much and the tenders eaten with the ranch were amazing. The burger was okay but the rose and pistachio shake was great too

Have ordered well over 20x from Shax, the usual order is the Nashville fries and coated wings with Buffalo sauce. Sometimes mix it up and go extra spicy fries but then the wings sometimes come spicy. Sometimes the food is amazing, sometimes its merhh okay ish. Seems no consistency which is a shame as probavly 2 out of 3 times the food is amazing, its like a different chef is cooking everytime. The wings tonight were like a sparrows armpit which is a drastic change to the usual juicy delights. Still our favourite place to order but needs more consistency please 🙏 Review number 2: AMAZING. Ordered again last night. Food was unreal! Coated wings were perfect! Nashville frys also really good. Thankyou! Back on top form! 5*

Had the onion shredder burger with cheesy fries and a shake. Burger was meant to be served on the charcoal brioche but it was more of a blue color than black which kinda ruined the imagery but tasted OK. The cheesy Fries and the shake made the meal.

Food ordered for collection, took 20 minutes longer than stated even though the place wasn’t busy. Then got home only to find they’d got one of the two burgers wrong. Typical thin burger tasting solely of burger sauce. Fries were good but very disappointing for a £30 meal.

And just when I thought the saga was over, a driver appeared at my door, looking as confused as I was, demanding I pay again—even though my original payment was still pending on my card!
