The best restaurants serving American food in Sunderland North East

Absolutely lovely burgers , very tasty 😋 Juicy and one of the best I've ever had . Chips are nice and we choose the ones with the season. We also bought cheesecakes They were beautifully presented Strawberry cheesecake and Nutella cheesecake they were delicious. I would recommend

Lovely ambience and customer service Celebrating our wedding anniversary the food was excellent and our steak expert(the lovely Sam) was on the ball All in all we will return as its always a lovely night

We ordered a drink, starter and main course each. After about 20 minutes the main course came. The waiter blamed the printer for not printing out the starters we asked for (sic). Since the steaks were supposed to be cooked to our requirements we forwent the starters. Our steaks were actually very good (cooking and tasting), but I had one element missing that the very clever chef must have known I didn’t much care for, that was destined for my wife.

Middlesbrough - Teníamos gofres, tortitas y té de burbujas. La comida era preciosa y las bebidas eran geniales también! El personal era muy amable y a mi hija le encantó allí. Lo recomendaría como un buen regalo!

We booked Cater & Fitch for our Christmas meal for work, mainly because they are one of the few restaurants in the area to provide a good range of gluten free menu choices. Booking was extremely easy as the staff were very helpful. Car parking was very good as there are large car parks. There is a good range of choice on the menu and our staff were very happy with the choices. The restaurant was beautifully decorated for Christmas and we were all sat together as a group. There were 11 of us. Everyone enjoyed their meal and several of our staff have said that they will go back there to eat. There was a Christmas Party night on in the hotel, so it was busy but the staff had helped us to pre-order our menu choices and drinks. There was a very short delay in the starter being served, which we didn't mind as we were enjoying chatting to each other, but the Manager brought us some complementary snacks which were really nice. Everything was served nicely, table service was excellent, staff pleasant and it was a lovely evening. Thank you!

It’s nice to have another choice of pub in the area. The lager is well priced and the chef is excellent. She has vast experience having worked at Marcellos for years, her Dad owned it. The pub is getting a bad rap for certain things but these are things that occur in every pub so I think it’s really unfair to have a go about it. You can go in any pub toilet in the country and people making sounds that resemble someone suffering from hay fever shall we say. On the whole it’s a good local boozer like any other. It’s dog friendly and it’s a family local. Just a shame people seem hell bent on giving it a bad name.

Disfrutamos de una comida familiar aquí en un viernes por la noche ocupado. El servicio fue rápido y eficiente y lo más importante , extremadamente amable. Una mención especial a Claire que fue particularmente útil, un verdadero mérito para el equipo. Gracias a todos

Mesa reservada, llegó al restaurante a las 7. 20 pm para una mesa precocinada para las 7. 30 pm , sin registro de reserva , pero sí tenían una mesa libre para nosotros , pidieron bebidas y comida , servidor tuvo que comprobar orden dos veces , preguntado a las 8 . 30 pm cuánto tiempo más quedaría la comida y le dije a una mesa más que se sirviera antes que nosotros y estaban emplatando allí arriba, una pareja en la mesa a nuestro lado había esperado 2 horas y media para que se sirviera la comida, preguntó de nuevo a las 8 . 40 pm como todavía no hay comida, así que a las 8. 50 pagó por bebidas factura y se fue definitivamente no recomendaría este lugar servicio es absolutley diabólico

Just wanted to commend one of your staff members for her excellent customer service. We popped in to the river bar on Saturday 09th November for a drink around 7:30pm! We were part of large group of people on a hen party. We ordered 2 salted caramel espresso martinis. When they arrived they weren’t as stated on the menu. I mentioned this to the bar staff and they said they didn’t have the ingredients. I mentioned that the price didn’t reflect the drink then as it wasn’t been served as stated on the menu. We ended up with the bar manager (a man). He took the martinis off us, attempted to throw cash back at us and was the rudest, arrogant member of staff I have ever come across in my years of visiting the river bar/fiume. He refused to give a name or complaint address and spoke to us in a despicable manner. How he was ever hired in customer service in general never mind as a manager is beyond me. However, as we were about to leave we had a saving grace with the manager over seeing the whole establishment. DANIELLE WISDOM (I hope I got this correct), came over and asked us to step outside, so we could what’s each other, to resolve the issue. She was polite, understanding and an absolute credit to the business. She offered to make us 2 normal martinis which we were more than happy with and handed her the money straight over that has been thrown back at us! She was calm and warming and listened to everything we had to say. In our years off visiting we have seen Danielle around and are pleased she has made it to a higher position. She sorted the problem quickly and efficiently and we can’t commend her enough. We hope she gets the recognition she deserves as she manages to keep customer service how it should be whilst running the business! Hats off to a wonderful manager. 👏🏼

On a mission to explore the West Sunniside area of Sunderland as despite knowing the number of bars and restaurants etc in area is growing just have never got round to trying them. Called here for a drink after a spontaneous Saturday evening trip to one of the nearby restaurants... lovely place, really relaxed atmosphere and very enjoyable visit. Will definitely be back

Nearly 2 hours waiting for our order to be delivered by Just eat. Ended up cancelling our order. Absolutely ridiculous.

Terrible management, no customer service, do not care at all. I've never been spoken to with so little respect as an adult

Anunciado como 24 horas el fin de semana. Llegó a las 3. 45 am el viernes por la noche / sábado por la mañana. Parecía abierto, el letrero dice 24 horas, y el horario de apertura en google decía que estaba abierto. No me dejó ordenar en la aplicación, incluso para conducir a través, probé puertas delanteras y estaban cerradas. Realmente decepcionante cuando compruebas en línea y esperas que esté abierto como dice que es y hacer el viaje y no lo es.
