McDonald's in Sunderland

Went to Peel Sunderland tonight this evening with young grandchildren . Lady on the lobby was lovely and helpful

Was good apart from people shouting over us complaining about missing orders

Very early on a Saturday morning so before maccies usual clientele invade, used the drive thru. The woman serving us was friendly, polite and a pleasure to be her customer 👍 Food was warm and about as good as it gets 😉

9 times out of ten they mess your order up,or rip u off,boring menu

Why are McDonald's burgers never hot and juicy any more even when I order a grille. I'm sure they're precooked burgers so they become dry and kept barely warm. Go back to the old ways of cooking please. Stop taking the fries out early just because it's busy, cook them for the correct time please. And why do they always have to forget to put everything in the bag.

Brilliant. Poor parking and too small inside now they've used quarter building for delivery drivers. Really far too small.

Ordered on the app, arrived at the drive through… waiting only for the car that pulled up next to us to be served before us. Got our food and sat in the car park to eat it in the car. Only to witness about a dozen RATS running about the car park… 🙃 very off putting and after reading some reviews it seems this has been an issue for a while which hasn’t been solved. Will never come back.

Fries freezing cold. Mcrib was like cardboard and and very dry. Bin was hard. I had mcrib in Spain it was really nice, juicy and with lots of sauce. I have no idea what I got but it was pants

Got the order wrong then literally disappeared before we could tell her she had forgot the drinks. Sent email. No response so not great customer service either. Parking arrangement is diabolical also.

Ordered from here 4 times three times were delivery once we went in, twice we received the wrong order like £40 somehow confused with a £15 meal and refused a refund, sat in and had to pull the girl up and say my double cheeseburger meal had no fries or drink with it, today we ordered a wrap meal and triple cheeseburger recieved no wrap with the meal and the cheeseburger was only a double, remarkable that they've got the orders wrong ever single.

Food was very good and service was good on the majority how ever one of the workers delivered our drink to our table with aggression and rudeness, slamming the cup down and disnt come the table implying he had some where else be.

Worst mcdonald's ever! Ordered a porridge last week and got a mile down the road to a job we were doing, and it was cold. Called back here the next morning and complained and was given another porridge free of charge, which was Luke warm at best! Does nobody know how to cook porridge here or use a microwave? No wonder this country is going downhill. People can't even manage the basics

Fast service and place was clean and tidy, despite it being fairly busy.

Ordered for delivery, got given a kfc, how does that even happen

Food is always cold, half the time the order is wrong.

Putting this review in after the staff had to deal with 2 awful young men tonight who treat the staff horrendous. Such a shame. They still made such a effort to be friendly and check in on the young children there who had to witness such awful behaviour.

They worst experience at macdonalds peel retail park washington. Arrived at restaurant at 23.40 after a long shift at work. Ordered my food on kiosk. Waited for 20 mins even though restaurant and drive through were quiet to be given freezing cold fries, regular cappuccino when I ordered large, mcfluffy missing, by the time a actually got everything right it was 00.18. The staff just had a couldn't care less attitude if you don't like customer service then don't work with the public would be my suggestion to the workers on this shift. The owners and managers should be appalled if I treated my customers this way I wouldn't have any. Things seriously need sorted there and after reading other reviews sooner rather than later

Food missing as usual, food not hot, just a joke, save your money and health much better service and food else where.

The best service ever recieved from a McDonald's, the service was slow but this was irrelevant given how much they went above and beyond. The DA hostess was very attentive and understanding. Food was hot, fresh and good quality aswel as accurate to our order.

Ordered a Double Big Mac, 20 Chicken Nuggets and 2 large fries. Had to wait around 10 minutes for food through the drive through, but the woman who was in charge of customer satisfaction and order quality was lovely, despite the miserable weather conditions.

We had breakfast, ordering at the e-till. The service was slow, though the food was fresh. It is a typical McDonald's with the usual breakfast options.

Absolutely useless , Ordered one thing a happy meal with fries and a fruit shoot paid 3.49 for delivery plus 99p for service charge on top of the price of the happy meal for a treat for my 2 and a half year old daughter To be sent 4 nuggets and no fries. This is not the first time this McDonald’s has stitched me up on a home delivery , What kind of people are you employing firstly to not be able to put 2 items in a box ( nuggets and fries), secondly what kind of managers are you employing not to have quality checks in place to ensure if an employee can’t manage to count to two , that food orders don’t leave incomplete. This is basic stuff , I order you get printout of the order saying what should be on the order , just look at the printout of the order before you send the food instead of being totally incompetently useless. It was a single happy meal not even a complicated multiple order with loads of food saying don’t want this don’t want that , OMG so annoyed my daughter is crying because of your incompetence 😡😡

Was put in bay 2 - the bay already occupied. Took a while for food to arrive. Told.the amount was £10 + when got to window it was over £14

Poor quality, missing items, mega busy, app not working 😕

I rarely add reviews it really takes something to annoy me. But to order one burger without onions and ask for just a burger for a Big Mac and filet o fish and then end up with this? I mean logic tells you no one orders this they would simply order a regular hamburger with nothing on. Absolute joke. To top it off you pay a Big Mac premium and filet premium to get no sauce? Who does that and actually thinks that’s logical. Someone gets a Hattrick without onions but still has tomato cheese and mustard. Yet the other 2 are plain? I’m in shock and furious at same time at the waste of trip and the premium I’ve just paid. Up there with worst experience when ordering food. Can’t believe someone could be as simple to get this that wrong. Top it off got soaked and didn’t even give me a receipt.

Good food for the price. Though specially meals aren't that much difference from standard meals.

Love this McDonald’s. Just down the road from where my daughter plays football every weekend so it’s become a bit of a tradition to pop in here after her match. Can’t fault service, be it dine in, drive thru or deliver to car. Food is always a good temperature, tasty and well presented. Only possible improvement would be parking. There’s not a lot of space or spaces and if you get parked if you time it wrong it takes forever to get out again because of cars queuing in front of you.

I've tried to find a contact email to show the footage I made yesterday whilst at the ordering kiosk but I can't find anything so il just write it here. Yesterday whilst ordering food we witnessed a magpie eating a dead rat just next to the car. Then behind that a huge rat appeared from a hole next to the fence. I think you guys have a problem there.

Review updated 29/04/24 from previous 5 star review (relative to other branches) Multiple times over the last couple of months they have got my order wrong, mainly by serving double instead of triple cheeseburgers. Additionally, chocolate milkshakes tend to have barely any flavour other than vanilla and frozen drinks are regularly already melted when served. Car park has shrunk since a Starbucks was built on the old car park and is now tiny and utter chaos - recommend parking in the large car park outside the former B&M premises and walking over. The parking issues are exasperated when drive through is very busy with cars queuing through the car park onto entry road. This makes getting into and out of the standard parking spaces challenging and also for the drive through waiting bays. Frankly, I'd rather wait in the queue longer than use those bats in peak time. On a more positive note, the greeting staff are brilliant and can't do enough for you.

Yet again no dips , that’s literally every time we order, even though they are standard when you choose nuggets, things not taken off when you requested without , and always items missing, cold and definitely been sat , so frustrated as it’s actually turning out to be close to a miracle when the order turns up the way we ordered it 😡

Went through the drive thru and saw 6 good sized rats running about, they need to get that sorted.

Did not get a simple order right, absolute rip off. Ordered a Mcplant which did not arrive along with sauces. Do better, rarely get McDonald's wont be ordering anytime soon.

Horrible, all staff move so slowly, turtles, it’s fast food ! They walk around and don’t know what they are doing!!! Talk instead of packing orders ! Team leader doesn’t wear hairnets ! Not even hat ! Unbelievable!

Im just posting this review as a thankyou i received my order with a missing item had screaming children because they didn't have there nuggets so rang up the store to be greeted by josh who said if i ordered off the app again i would revieve my item with a reduns however that didnt happen i then rang back even more furious to be greeted by josh again he was very apologetic and even sent a member of staff, not sure if it was himself actually to my home with my item and my refund with 4 mcflurrys aswell i am bery grateful ans mcdonalds ahould be very glad they have a staff member like josh Thanks again Rebecca

Utter disgrace. Wanted a litter bit of both sauces in my breakfast wrap and the manager refused. When asked to speak to him he said it is all down to cost. I wasn't trying to bring down mcdoalds empire by having a little bit of both sauces.

Probably the slowest mc Donald's ever

Two weeks in a row I've tried here for a breakfast. 15 minutes I get fo work break sat here waiting 20 minutes upto now and ready to drive off and leave what I've paid for.

Placed order through the McD app, fulfilled by UberEats. Shockingly items were missing from the order (again). The response from staff was unhelpful - basically they didn't care and any issues I was told to contact Uber eats - UberEats didn't mess up McD's did! When UberEats finally answered they didn't even consider delivering our food order, they just refunded the missing item without question... I've now got a upset autistic child who cannot understand why everyone's favourite food has turner up but they're hasn't! I won't be using either again!

Ordered for delivery. Food arrived stone cold and was inedible. Half the order was missing. Uber wouldn’t refund the fact that the food was cold. Spent over £20 on food we couldn’t eat. Disgraceful

Just used the drive thru. Food is always hot and nice. I bit communication from the staff to say parts of the order where not available would of been nice.

Can be really busy when all workers on break you will have to queue in drive through but it goes quickly

Unfortunately, just had a delivery and 2 items missing. This has happened several times before and they blame uber eats. They also say come and get the items, well the whole point of delivery is that you can't go and get it! No refund either, as it is uber eats who deal with refunds and this never materialises. I have tried ringing restaurant but no answer. Expensive meal!!

Absolute joke of a McDonald's, we use the drive through and the amount of times food has been missing is unbelievable!! My boyfriend went today came home missing 3x large fries, a wrap, we then drove back, and got sent to bay 1 , food off before was freezing ofcourse, brought the food out gave us 3x medium fries, i then told the lady and she brought out the correct food, how many times does it take to get an order correct?? Few weeks back we ordered 2x double cheeseburgers no pickles, took a bite ofcourse had pickles in, opened it up and the burger had 8 pickles in each, they hire too many 16 year olds who think it's a laughing joke, not one apology today for the food been wrong, worst McDonald's going, absolute joke they are.

The lack of care to work, the lack of ability to read a bit of paper for someone’s order and lack a bag is astounding, you’re all a joke and I’m glad that you don’t require the basic level of reading or understanding to work there… the little food we got was cold and stale I know it’s a McDonald’s but Jesus Christ have a little bit of pride in what you do

Huge Thanks for Deborah staff. Our kid wanted Mcdonald's tablet in kids table but it was turned off during night for charging. But after she noticed our kid disappointed she came up and helped turning it on for him. No words for her kind gesture. Just thought how wonder people are showing love towards kids in their busy schedule. Note it was a new place for us and we never been in so frequent. Much appreciating🙏

Very busy had 2 wait for a while to get our meals lots of people not wearing masks it hasn't changed still very busy but a lot less carparking now having to park in another car park4 and walk over to McDonald's very busy disabled ♿ parking is in a very awkward place having to pass two exits . Still very busy food is OK service good.

The food is the only reason we go. Sometimes when we go, they even give us what we’ve asked and paid for. Home to the lowest skilled workforce I’ve ever had to look after me.

Bacon on burger was nearer raw than cooked. 7 minutes wait likely related to "Just Eat" and other service people who must get priority to ensure delivery times are met, otherwise McD have to pay for the grub. Definitely in no hurry to go back and suffer a growingly poor experience.

Good location drive thru but alway takes a day n age to get food and then it's just like warm

Just bought 2 Flake McFlurries at the drive thru. Got home to find they've forgotten to put the Flake in.

All good, nice and clean, staff friendly. The salad wasn’t fresh, tasted like it has been made up for a while, soggy and tasteless.

Orders through Uber Eats a few days ago for me and my friends.. Exactly the same order both times, Chicken selects, a filet o fish and a Double Quarter pounder meal. First time they forgot about my double quarter pounder but included the fries and drink. I wasn't impressed but got a refund through Uber Eats, today we thought we would give them a second chance and ordered basically the same food again.. Once again my double quarter pounder was forgotten about! The fries and drink were still there, but no double quarter pounder in site, so once again left to go hungry with only some fries and a drink. Won't be ordering from this McDonald's again.

Positively dangerous to go to. The roadway in to the drive through is blocked by the cars trying to leave and there is no safe way to drive out or in, zero warning of the oncoming cars and when they dont have what you want to order in stock, then you're stuck. Road has growing pot holes.

So quick heads up. The staff are actually really chill and friendly (night shift anyway), but whatever you do make sure to look through your order when you get it. Peel Maccas is kinda infamous for constantly forgetting stuff on your order. Just took my order back home and am missing my wrap... again. Kinda getting sick of this honestly. Especially since the receipt dispensers never work so I can't even go back and say they took my money and I got nothing.

This McDonald's has got our order wrong so many times I now think they do it on purpose. Today I ordered one item, picked it up and checked with the woman that it was correct. Got home and it was the wrong item. Unbelievably shoddy service.

No matter how busy it gets in here the staff at this mcdonalds are always polite, courteous & helpful. Its a shame however that there wasnt an upstairs, as it is quite small inside!

Staff are very helpful. Helped me out in using the in store ordering computers and were very patient with me. Can't recommend them enough

I ordered about £50 worth of food on just eat and they delivered drinks with no meals ? i literally just got drinks nothing else and i called the store and they told me nothing they can do
