the cross keys is a great local pub me and my hubby dropped in for a quick pint 😊🌸

Never a complaint whenever there , always a friendly atmosphere and always great service

A little gem, great pub and restaurant in a lovely location

Compared to the keys I used to go into as a kid and young adult. This place is unrecognizable. Which is a good thing. 😂. The location has always been incredible. In the village center. Can't get better. Food is nice but the Sunday dinner is now one of the best in Washington. Good selection of drinks on tap. They always seem to have the latest "craze" on tap. Currently Cruzcampo. The staff are good crack and friendly as can be. Good prices, not the cheapest but not the most expensive in Washington. It used to be just an old school dingy pub. Now they decorated and improved the food. It's definitely worth the visit. Outside area has a TV. Unfortunately they removed the pool table. Only down side. Definitely recommend.

The food presentation was impressive, and the taste was equally remarkable. The chips, in particular, stood out as exceptionally delicious. The availability of Staropramen on tap was an added bonus, enhancing the overall dining experience. We look forward to returning to this establishment in the future and sampling more of their delectable menu offerings.

This is a really lovely pub, we consider it our local (as it's the only pub that's half decent within a mile of our house). Fantastic staff, football on all TVs, fun quiz night, affordable drinks and good quality food. See you soon x

Lovely bar in Washington Village, staff very pleasant my husband said his pint was lovely and cold. They do meals to so decided on Sunday Lunch was delicious and served with lovely thick gravy

Busy pub with outside seating out the front which overlooks the old village green There is also seating out the back which isn't as popular so doesn't get as busy

Eyes well and truly opened, kids running riot young mam's vaping inside where ppl eating TV showing football jumping all over and overall a poor effort from owners

Went on Friday lunchtime, I got gammon my partner got hunter’s chicken, both delicious and great value, chips were really good! Friendly staff, great service, lovely setting, would definitely visit again.

Went to cross keys for food as most of the family together which does not happen too regular especially with me living in Ireland. Pub is under new management from last time I was there but the food was just as nice as previously and the staff were brilliant with excellent service. Thanks for a great afternoon and early evening.

Margaret Emmerson Had my 70th Birthday Party yesterday and couldn't fault the staff or the variety and selection of food from the buffet they provided.Would deffinatly recomend this venue for a small party

Had a last minute day off work so took my parents and daughter for lunch. Lovely as usual definitely recommend.

Food is good but drinks expensive. Pubs in concord are literally half the price they need to get in line.

Not impressed, when do you ever serve fried onion with cheese. Chips dry as sticks. We weren't even offered cutlery to eat with. Absolutely shocking

Haven't eaten here but the Sunday lunch did look lovely. Decent pint, good coffee pool table and sports on TV in the bar area. Quieter areas as well. Lovely little outdoor seating area when the sun shines and right on the village green. Visited on a Sunday afternoon so can't comment on the rest of the week but we enjoyed it.

Called in lunchtime was bit quiet so not many staff but good service and food , didn't have to wait too long either.

Little after Christmas get together . Food was tremendous . Manager sound guy .highly recommended .just don't ask him for one his 63% rum shots . Brutal...

The food was not great, I only ordered an omelette which should be easy enough but I amongst others had to be continually asked to confirm our order. Eventually my dish came and it wasn't what I ordered. A lot of the dashes on the menu were unavailable and they didn't even have any tea.

Food is so bad, staff do there best but blackrose are awful pubs, I expect Mr crabs stood there going "mone money money" as I walk in

The bros and I had no food here but it was on offer with a good menu. to much to say. Cross Keys Washington, what a fantastic place, full of life and well worth a second visit for us.

Food is lovely but they don't always have what they advertise on the menu. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Baby changing rooms are in disabled toilet but no changing mat or pads for the changer. Dogs are allowed. Atmosphere is lovely very relaxed place, music isn't too loud and prices are fair for what you get and not to expensive a place to go back too.

no real ale, lines being cleaned apparantly , shame on a lovely warm evening, very nice accomodating staff, food was very nice, did an off menu portion of onion rings for us..delicious.the back garden area looked very inviting.we will go back there on another occasion.overall, a cracking pub

Nice pub in a lovely little village. Decent atmosphere. The only issue have had is with getting served at the bar. I've been in twice and there were 2 staff on, with a long bar and thirsty customers. Lovely pint though.

Pleasant pub,we went there for dinner,food nice and hot and plenty of it aswell.we all enjoyed our meal and will be going back again soon .lovely pub.

After politely asking for a pint of Camden, the lady at the bar said “No, you need to choose something else” with a rude and disrespectful attitude. After ordering some food, the same lady came to our table and told us we needed to move as it was reserved. This was as I eating. It must be noted that there was no sign on the table saying it was reserved and the issue wasn’t raised when I had ordered my food to that table beforehand. The food was dry and has gone down hill dramatically. I am very disappointed.

I asked for a pint of Camden the lady who served me was rude when she said no you need to choose something else. We ordered a burger which was adequate but midway through eating we were told the table was reserved and was moved immediately in which we thought was very rude and disrespectful as there was no sign of the table being reserved. Terrible service I for sure will not be back again!

Lovely areas to sit outside on a sunny day. Helpful and friendly staff. The chef wasn't in so no food the day I was there but usually the food is lovely. Well worth a visit.

Went for Sunday lunch, beef too tough to eat. Roasties were clearly frozen. The mash however was really nice. Stood waiting for drinks and the staff had seen me and served a regular first right in front of me. Shame as decor is lovely, clean and bright. Won’t be returning for food and unlikely to drink in there as too clicky. Let down as live locally and frequent the other pubs in the village weekly.

Popped in here on a Monday night after travelling up from Manchester for work, staying in the Mercure nearby. Food and service were excellent. Loads of food. Nachos were amazing! Decent pints too. Melanie served us. Will be back if we’re up there again.

A great bar on the village green that still has a local and community feel when you go inside. They offer deals on different days such as free pool and cheaper burgers on a Thursday Nice small sitting area out the front looking across the green and tables out the back as well for the summer months. A little sun trap. They have a pool table, books to read (which can be left and taken at will), and a selection of board games that can be played. Really great little pub!

Great easy going local pub. Food good value, service always spot on and friendly. Often have drink promotions on too which is always welcomed. Dog friendly, child friendly, clean and welcoming. Recommended.

Was fantastic, now in current climate smaller portion sizes and not any where near as nice as it was in the good old days.we went to cross cross keys and got food poisoning, worst time as had to take car for repair at Durham and even rang them to tell the fat lady who now works for reds in the gallories,,did ring to tell them and felt they didn't believe me. MINE AND PARTNERS FAMILY NEVER DID RETURN. WOULD YOU.

Right in the heart of the Village its a community hub. Great range of drinks and the branded glasses to go with them. Great indoor and outdoor areas as well. Highly recommended

This bar is very welcoming,friendly with a relaxing atmosphere. The staff are friendly and helpful. I have not eaten here but I have seen food served and it does look very well presented. I can not fault this place. Washington village is lovely place to visit.

Went in tonight with my partner and a few of the 'Village in Bloom 'team. Asked for a pint of Blonde Star cask ale. It was very lively and clearly under a pint when served. Politely asked for it to be topped up. Barmaid did but pulled the pump in a manner that can only be described as aggressive. The 'pint' was still well under so asked the barmaid to top it up for a 2nd time. She did, abruptly, and still clearly way short of a pint. I said could I speak to the manager Kimberley and then the barmaid started shouting at me. When Kimberley came she said you need to ask for a ' pint with no head on it's. I have never asked for a pint in that way after 40 years of supping it. The barmaid was clearly having a bad night. Will take our custom to the worthy competitors in the future.

The drinks are overpriced £1.75 for a lime and soda (70p) in the neighbouring pubs. The food is below average, I ordered peppercorn sauce for my rump steak unfortunately it poured from the jug like water, drenching the chips etc. The landlady asked if everything was ok, I explained the issue to her, her response was that she would mention it to the chef, no apology or deduction from the bill. A friend bought strips of chicken breast, chips, and gravy, the chicken was formed meat not breast! the chips were undercooked, gravy was congealed. I have experienced/witnessed different attitudes, and behaviour toward customers from one team member in particular, maybe that's why the establishment is struggling .

After seeing photos of the food on Google of fresh battered fich and chicken thought would give it a try, total disappointment never again, place is empty for a reason, should have realised. Will not be back

Not only easily the best range of drinks in the village but the best and friendliest barmaids. The place used to be a bit of a charver magnet but now is easily the classiest and best pub in town. Keep it up Keys and I'll have a Camden Hells

Really nice dining area which is tastefully decorated. Food was really good, we had three different dishes which were all good. Staff were also really friendly and helpful with quick and efficient service. I'll be back!

The food was really nice apart from the menu is limited some days, and once we'd finished they never came back to take the plates away, had to put them on a neighbouring table just to be able to be comfortable.

Food itself was fine, not cheap, and apart from the fact it's the first time we've seen a pie served with a quenelle of potato! Literally, one spoon..... Luckily, I had paid extra for a side of chips which we shared.... We did mention at the end of the meal to the manager but were just met with a laugh and a reference to mentioning it to the chef.....

Visited the Cross Keys for a 3 course Christmas lunch. Food was exceptional, couldn’t fault it at all. Compliments to the chef. Very friendly staff and management who bent over backwards to make our evening enjoyable. Definitely recommend a visit
