Iâve actually been here twice this year with my family, once to sit in and once via the Drive-Thru. The building itself was massive - genuinely couldnât believe the size of it. Access via car was, in my opinion, a bit confusing. The road markings and approach were far from simple. That aside, we had no issues with the Drive-Thru nor with the sit-down area inside and the staff were friendly enough. The food and Hot Chocolates we ordered, on both occasions, were great. Genuinely no issues - the Biscoff Doughnut in particular was top level and to be honest, will be my go-to in the future. One downfall - the price. I could probably justify paying what we did on the odd occasion but for me, theyâll surely lose regular repeat business from normal, middle-class families. On our second visit, it cost just short of ÂŁ20 for my son and I to have a hot drink and Doughnut each, so not even a full meal. Taking all of the above into consideration, a respectable 4/5 rating is fair.

We had a lovely seafood afternoon tea with Prosecco. I came across this restaurant on Wowcher I would definitely recommend it lovely meal and a nice atmosphere

Lovely food with an attentive team, coupled with good value for money. Unfortunately, my dining experience was compromised by the mice in the dining area and this rating is given because of the managerâs handling of the situation. As I started to explain about the mice, the manager stated that he was aware of the situation and there are several mouse traps within the restaurant. Also he indicated that this was problem for all restaurants in the area. However, I should be assured that he is meeting all the hygiene standards. Had I known about the mice I would have spent my money elsewhere. Hygiene and mice is not a healthy combination. So I will not be visiting this restaurant again.

The food was amazing me and my boyfriend came here on a Sunday evening. We booked a table and arrived early, they were ready for us! The service was unbelievable. I have been an assistant manager in a chain restaurant and I would have employed everyone working that evening. I recommend the chi- town fries!

The chicken burger was wet, bland, mushy and horrible. The fries were fine so I ate those, I told the staff who served us and they couldnât care less so I asked if it was possible not to be charged for mine but they said as Iâd already tried to eat the burger which I left the rest of as it was a pile of mush and that I had ate the fries they wouldnât. I asked if they did the online discount they had on their site and they said no it was from a while ago. There was no way of them giving me any form of compensation for my experience in any form. Luckily this place has since shut down.

The service was good, but the food very average. Sunday roast was a pre-portioned chicken, with underdone potatoes and carrots and a dry overcooked Yorkshire pudding. The waitress asked if all ok, and I was unenthusiastic, but this had no impact. There were also three dogs allowed at nearby tables, which is a big no for me. i will not return.

Best ploughman's I ever had. Who knew it could be spread so well? Just this man. The plate Steve produces is second to none, and watch your step đȘ as you probably never thought to finish the main combo with picallily x beetroot on your forkâsave the last blue cheese and grapes for the final smidge of chutters. Never will have a winner like it. Absolute gold. đ

QuĂ© lĂĄstima que no tengamos tal revisiĂłn que transmitir. Actualmente estoy muy embarazada, asĂ que al sentarme le pedĂ a la camarera una bebida que parecĂa muy saciada, tal vez porque le preguntĂ© antes de que estuviera lista para tomar mi pedido no estoy segura. La misma camarera entonces procediĂł a lanzar mi bebida y vaso sobre la mesa, lo que hizo que todos en la mesa de al lado miraran y puso a la gente en mi mesa muy incĂłmoda. Le pedĂ a otro camarero un vaso limpio y me dijeron que solo son marcas de agua porque el lavavajillas no tiene suficientes sales. DespuĂ©s de esto fue solo una experiencia extremadamente hostil, pagamos la factura menos el cargo por servicio y nos fuimos. Lamentablemente no puedo decir mucho de la hamburguesa que comĂ, pero no estoy seguro si eso se vio empañado por la experiencia.

We visited for my husbandâs birthday. We were a table of five and arrived at 7 pm. On arrival. We were the only diners in the restaurant. Three other tables were occupied by the time that we left 9 pm. This was a sat night. The menu has changed fewer choices or maybe fewer fine dining choices. The signature dish seemed to be the steak either steak on the stone or cooked so we opted for steak. The menu even contains a little joke. âDonât ask the chef to cook well or medium well â I opted for medium rare so when it arrived, I struggled to find the pink meat. I also ordered some garlic bread for our daughters, it arrived smothered in cheese but no mention that it would have cheese both daughters donât eat cheese . The waiting staff require additional training. A female server. Didnât even apologise when I complained about my steak instead told me it would be a further 15 minutes for a new piece , that wouldnât work as everyone else had been served. They wouldâve been nearly finished when mine arrived. Her solution was to scrap the order all together, but I came to a restaurant to eat. That wasnât a good solution, the senior server, or maybe the manager later came over and offered to compensate for the steaks and provided a discount, which is really good of him, the chips couldâve been triple cooked for that crispy restaurant feel they suspiciously look like they may have come out of a packet also . After we complained about the steaks, we didnât receive any additional service. We had to request a desert menu, being gluten-free. I asked what was gluten-free on the menu. I was told nothing itâs not completely unusual but usually youâre offered either ice cream or sorbet. We had the feeling that we were no longer wanted so forfeited the deserts for our table of five, asked for the bill and left, one of our diners was in a wheelchair, no point did anyone offer to open the door so we navigate of the double doors ourselves and left disappointed . Positively the cocktails and the beers were delicious. My recommendation would be hire some staff that smile or are attentive, become a bar and do what you are good at. This used to be one of my husbandâs favourite restaurants in Southend. Iâm not sure will visit again though. Bad times!

This is a great place for a young child's birthday party, and the staff are very helpful when asked. A big improvement though, would to be greeted on arrival, or to have signs showing which area to go to for the party. It's a huge place, so would be better not to have keep asking for assistance. My son enjoyed the laser quest and bowling though, so overall an enjoyable day.
