Starbucks in Torridge

Super friendly staff and particularly a big shout out to the amazing Sophie who was lovely when out dog demolished a latte and coated all the outdoor tables with it. She even made us a new coffee but wouldn’t take payment. Only reason this is not 5* is it’s not dog friendly. This inconsistency is something Starbucks need to sort out!!

We visited at 10.00 in the morning and although the restaurant had only been open a short while no breakfast items available due to a broken fridge, how long had that been out of action. I counted six staff and only three customers , no one waiting. But several of the tables had not been cleared or cleaned making a difficult choice to fine a clean table. We ordered one small and medium drink both came as the same size not sure if got two small or two medium. Needs a better manager who keeps the staff working.

Lattes and food was good but ….staff stood around including the Manager when they could have cleared and cleaned the dirty tables

I used this branch of Starbucks 2/3 times a week . The coffee is always amazing as are the employees . Great coffee and big smiles . Keep up the awesome work .

Chair's and table weren't cleaned. Staff just chatting behind counter and the latte weak and cold. Really disgusted with overall service. Much better service and cleanliness in America.

My regular experiences of Starbucks, Bideford's drive-through are nothing short of seamless. Offering a straightforward process by which you simply order your beverage via clever voice comms (you'll be greeted by the cheery "What can I start for you today?", which certainly inspires me to add more delicious products to my order). Then, you just proceed at a safe pace around the well-carved corner, at which point your steaming beverage will be awaiting you, usually accompanied by a beaming smile (on the house!). Highly recommend. And, don't miss Atlantic Village across the roundabout, packed with enticing stores brimming with goods you didn't know you needed.

Lost a sale today due to unclear signage at order point. Staff member asked me to drive around the drive through again even though she was clearly stood next to an active till. A better response would have been 'im sorry you have missed our order point, I will take your order here today, but please keep it in mind for future visits. I went to the one over the road and, better customer service!

After sipping on my unctuous nut milk latte, I left Starbucks Bideford with an overwhelming sense of self worth. As my title states, I am normally a vile little man.

It was this Monday morn after consulting with Xavier my stuffed pet otter, that I fetched upon my hiking boot to bare the bitter January climes. Across a cafe, I did scale on this perishing morn. Fair maiden adorned me with the most charming of addresses for what was once a mere shilling. On my merry way did I scamper with a jovial waltz.

Went in for a coffee about midday today. Coffee and blueberry muffin absolutely fine but a total lack of management obvious. About 80% of the tables had the remnants of previous occupants (coffee cups, plates etc). Only a trickle of customers with the 4 staff members gossiping behind the counter. Eventually one member of staff picked up a few cups but ignored all the rest and some rubbish on the floor and then disappeared behind the counter again. Most concerning of all in these Covid times was there was no evidence of tables being wiped or sanitised after being used. The staff had no pride in their work, weren't too interested in their customers safety and just didn't care. My advice - give this place a miss.

Stopped at the drive through after a quick visit to Atlantic village, our order was taken politely, and was ready quickly all served with a smile and a thank you, maybe we were lucky at the time of day we visited

Always seem to be short staffed or we’re just not interested. and also never had the items on the menu. If you’ve stopped selling them. Take it off. Also we’re always sold out at 9 am !

Used the drive thru 21/10/20 around 6pm and received awful service. Served by two separate members of staff, neither communicated with us at all , we were not read back our order or told how much it came to, were handed our drinks in silence and when we drove away all three of us said thank you and were completely blanked by staff. Simple manners wouldn’t go a miss

I love Starbucks coffee & like the ambiance of the Bideford branch, have been many times but was very disappointed with the reception by the staff on my visit today. Talk about miserable & it's not like they were busy. Served by George, very abrupt & when I asked him if he had swiped my loyalty card " to late" was his abrupt reply. No apology, nothing. Shame, I used to enjoy going there.

As a regular to Starbucks. Most of the staff know what we like to drink. The staff are always friendly. Store is always clean. Good choice of food, even an option for gluten free.

Having never been to Starbucks, using the drive through was quite disappointing. The menu was beyond the order point, so we were unable to see it without getting out of the car. The coffee was bitter, although the hot chocolate was quite good. Not an experience I will be repeating.

Popped in here for coffees whilst we were waiting for a pizza order from the takeaway next door and the service was quick and friendly. There were large areas of the place closed for cleaning which limited the seating even though it was over 90mins before closing time.

Most of the Starbucks are grubby and lack care. This one is one of the best we have visited, staff attentive and plenty of.places to sit. Coffee is always consistent and lovely

Staff were not particularly welcoming or helpful in explaining how things worked when we first walked in. We had breakfast rolls and I asked for an Americano with milk. I would have assumed the milk would be heated and served separately but I was expected to help myself to the communal jug. I was not impressed.Whilst sitting near the windows we noticed an inordinate number of wasps inside. Again, although it is no ones fault that wasps are around at this time of year, i would have felt they could have dealt with them. The wasps were a nuisance and spoiled the enjoyment of our meal. The staff were clearly not interested.I will not be returning to this particular Starbucks.

Waited ten minutes for one drink to be made as they forgot about it. Too busy with drive through....

I think this is one of the best coffee shops in the area. Staff are friendly, spacious area and plenty of seating. I like to come in here and write my reports whilst drinking my coffee. Great place to either work, relax or meet people.

Great coffee and a nice relaxing store, good for a break shopping at Atlantic village across the road. Like most coffee shops, attention needs to be paid thoughout the day on keeping tables, floor and chairs clean.

Great to drive thru on route back from the beach Some spewtastically creamy hot chocolates The dogs like the bonio too. We love it !

Starbucks, love it or hate it, it is what it is, but the Gingerbread Christmas Lattes are amazing, and the ham and cheese toasties are good too.

Visit regularly now to get some work done. Staff are courteous and welcoming, and helped me set up my reward card. Good range of snack items available as is usual with Starbucks. Hot beverages are made quickly and to a good standard. Decor is clean and fresh due to the 'newness' of the outlet. Plenty of power sockets (with USB points) and fast WiFi make it an ideal spot to stop off, away from the busy Atlantic Village opposite. One downside is the temperature of this Starbucks. Could be warmer on wintery/chilly days and a main entrance door that stayed shut properly.

Can't beat a latta after a few hours shopping always good for a rest and a natter with the best buddy

We love the new Starbucks in Bideford and we use it a lot! It's nice to have the drive through as I sometimes pick up a coffee on my way to work.

as the South West is plagued by Costa coffees it's good to see Starbucks opening near Atlantic village, the shop is extremely clean and well presented, service is good and all with a smile, loving the pumpkin spice latte at this time. yep it's corporate and a lot don't like that..me I love Starbucks so well done for arriving in the area

Did not like the way the staff shouted out when our order was ready. I have complained and got two free coffees. So hopefully they have taken on boared the thing I said to customet services

Great place while on holiday to get a drink, We were there when it was pouring with rain and a nice hot drink went down well. Easy to find and great parking, also they do Drive through, but we didn't try this,

The kids have been gagging for this in Bideford, and a drive thru to boot, great selection and not overly priced.

Used the drive through a few times ,really fast great staff great coffee ,even gave my dog a doggie biscuit :)

A reasonably new and modern branch , the staff were wonderful and the coffee was great along with the usual eating bits availible Found the whole thing rather pleasing and relaxing , a nice place to unwind for a bit

I would like to give a massive praise to Starbucks in Bideford, as there is a lot of competition these days and they still manage to always be friendly, helpful, and professional! Products always look fresh and everyone is happy to help with a smile !

Very nice Starbucks, it is kept very clean and the staff are freindly and helpful. Standard Stabucks as far as drinks are concerned.

Opens at 6a.m and is a drive through and sit-in, lovely staff. Clean and comfortable as you would expect.

Always excellent, friendly service. Coffees are always served to perfection, and staff are always happy to chat, without seeming forced. Keep up the good work!

We visited today after being in Atlantic village. The girl that served us was not very happy or engaging. We got 2 drink, A cheese toasty and a biscuit. The biscuit was served on a warm wet plate straight out if the dishwasher. When we mentioned this it was changed for a set plate. Nobody wants a soggy biscuit. We were then served out drinks by a nice guy and then my cheese toasty was brought over by the girl and just dumped on the counter with the drinks. No smile or here is you toasty. Poor customer service. We put this down to having to work on a Easter weekend. We won't be going back to this particular Starbucks again. A smile and a thank you costs nothing and would improve your customer service 10 fold. Might be timw.for some staff training.

I come here every morning to grab a coffee and do my emails. Staff are always friendly and the place is always very clean. I recommend it to everyone, the latte art is also a great touch.
