Vinyl Restaurant @ The White Hart in Torridge

My husband and I are frequent visitors of the White Hart for a reason. Jon, Tammy and all of the staff are just amazing. On behalf of myself and my family, I would like to extend our gratitude for all The White Hart did in the preparations of my lovely Gran's Wake. Everyone commented on how lovely the food was, how nice the staff are and how my Gran would have loved it there. We are so very grateful. X

I went today and enjoyed the Sunday carvery with my husband and it was very tasty indeed. We also grabbed pudding to go and our service was fantastic and the staff are lovely and helpful too.

We visited this pub|diner for the first time tonight. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere, there are lots of TVs on around you with low sound on. Some of the staff seemed very inexperience. We had to ask for a menu but the menus were great as they were in the shape of a vinyl record. we were not asked if we wanted desserts or more drinks. We both opted for the steaks (black rock grill ) which come out on hot coals which you then cook yourselves at the table. This idea is fine, however I would have liked a plate to put my food on as I found it awkward to eat the salad, jacket potato, coleslaw and the meat with a burning hot grill in the middle of it all. I also think that for the money we paid some onion rings and mushrooms should be included. For the same money last weekend we had steak, mushrooms, peas, home made onion rings and chips which we did not have to cook ourselves at the rydon inn. We would also have liked to play pool and darts but we did not have any cash. I asked the staff about this and they did not offer to put the cost on my card in exchange for coins. I feel the staff need further training to increase the profits re desserts, drinks and leisure activities. I would return to this establishment again for a meal

Great old fashioned pub. Staff couldn’t have done more and food was great. Decent as standard pub menu and a specials board.

Took our booking last minute. There were quite a few smokers outside which did put us off a bit. However, the food was amazing, they were great with the kids and we had a lovely meal. It’s true what they say about looks being deceiving. We would recommend.

Dog friendly that was ideal for us as we were on holiday with our two.They even do a Doggy menu treats,one had a rabbit treat the other one had boar.

There doesn’t appear to be a great selection of places to eat in the heart of Holsworthy. We booked to eat here during our stay and were left disappointed. We ordered pizzas which did not match up to their billing or the price charged. Dry and unadventurous. It was a really poor offering. Pizzas are one of the easier things to master and this was well short of tasty and satisfying. The pub or is it a hotel is a bit grim inside. The entrance seems like the entrance to a hotel but once inside, you’re in the pub where a selection of locals occupy the bar side and the others offers diners a place to eat. Elsewhere there is a downstairs games / function room and then the Vinyl restaurant upstairs. We ate in the bar downstairs. The staff are friendly. The toilets are grim. I wouldn’t stay here nor would I choose to eat here again.

Great place, stopped by for last minute supper, good atmosphere, lovely helpful barmaid , great food 😋 we had steak and a fish and chips and it was served quickly and efficiently, cooked to perfection. Would definitely visit again if we were down this way .

First time of visiting and stayed for Sunday lunch. Absolutely lovely. Very friendly staff with nothing to much trouble.

Very friendly atmosphere, very nice pub, the interior is posh. Live music. Sunday carvery was most delicious and very affordable♥️👌Will visit again! Highly recommend.

Went to the Vinyl at the White Hart after Church for Mothering Sunday Lunch -did book beforehand as wanted to ensure a meal . Sunday roast was fabulous and for a very reasonable price. Was able to have all 3 meats Turkey, Beef & Lamb and helped ourselves to loads of variety of vegetables, Yorkshires ,stuffing gravy & sauces. Cooked to perfection. Staff were all very friendly & offered help as I’m disabled. Checked that everything was ok, chatted as they went past . We shared a pudding as we were so full up. Great choice of beers & wines - Offshore lager went down a treat! Highly recommend this pub as very reasonable prices less than £42 for the 2 of us including alcohol & coffee! Carvery was £10.95 per person which for a Sunday & Mothering Sunday was brilliant! They were also serving meals in the pub area as well with a variety of meals to choose from which also looked good with decent portions.

Visited with my Family for a Sunday Carvery. Very smart restaurant and very professional staff making it a very pleasant experience with very nice food. Definitely worth a visit

The Vinyl Diner at the White Hart is a little gem! We tried this tonight and had the lasagna and burger. Both very tasty! Great atmosphere and really friendly waitress. Thank you and will be back soon!

Always great food served by really friendly staff Fantastic choice on the menu and great value for money Always have a look at the specials board too, We go here all the time as a couple and when we have friends and family down and we have never been disappointed They go above and beyond to make sure you have a good evening. Highly recommended

We went for a valentines meal, it's was lovely. The food was great as always and the staff are super friendly and welcoming, the atmosphere was relaxing and comfortable. would definitely recommend to anyone and everyone!

Met here for a family carvery, before we went to the Remembrance parade and service. Food was proper lovely, and so were the owners. Thank you , it was just what we were looking for

Went for Sunday Carvery today. Large quantity of a choice of 3 well cooked meats, excellent and hot veg to accompany and good choice of puddings. Made very welcome and all at a very good price. We will return. Book ahead to be sure of a table

Went for meal for our Anniversary. Fantastic food. Great service. Amy was very attentive and polite. Had rack of ribs. WOW so tasty. Hubby had steak on the rock and thoroughly enjoyed it. Great size portions. Fantastic value for money. Unfortunately didn't have room for dessert as meal was huge. Would highly recommend for special meal for yourselves or for a group to eat. Will definitely be back soon . Thank you

My wife and I booked to spend the evening in the restaurant for Valentine’s Day. We are local to the area but sadly had never eaten here before as we generally go to our usual favourite spots. We are very glad we didn’t this time! The decor is like being transported back to an era of vinyl with the music being played at just the right level where you can still enjoy a conversation. The staff were very friendly and welcoming from the bar up to the restaurant. Nothing was too much for them. Now I come onto the star of the show, the food. We both ordered a main and desert not wanting to push our luck with starters, though the ones we saw looked amazing. I had the steak and my wife had the baked salmon both arrived on the hot rocks. This is an experience you must try if you haven’t before. Yes you cook your own steak but it means it is perfect for every bite and done exactly as you want it. Perfect accompany dishes of mushrooms and onions to fry and chips/ salad to finish off. I could eat that time and time again (and probably will!!) Desert of the Baileys cheesecake was just perfection to end. If you are looking for somewhere to have just a normal meal or a special occasion then be sure to consider the vinyl restaurant. It is certainly a place to go.

We went in for their New years eve special. The best steak I have ever had! Really tender and the rocks definitely make it an experience. Great service and nice variety of gin. Will definitely be returning to try the BBQ ribs!

What can I say? AMAZING Staff were fantastic, friendly, attentative Food was to die for, absolutely amazing The ambience was great as was the music. Had Prawn Cocktail and the Garlic Bread yo start. Prawn Cocktail was huge and hubby thoroughly enjoyed it. My Garlic Bread was gorgeous. For main, I had the full rack of ribs. WOW. They were absolutely humongous. The sauce was amazing. The meat just fell off the bone and melted, skin on chips were cooked perfectly. Hubby had the Cheeseburger. He thoroughly enjoyed it. Not a lot was left on the plates, just eyes bigger than belly lol I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. If you are in Holsworthy on Friday or Saturday night, you have got to go. A real asset to the town. Don't just take my word for it, give it a try you definitely will not be disappointed. We will 100% be going back
