Fantastic family roast on Sunday. Service and meal were fantastic. Highly recommended.

this is a lovely friendly pub that do amazing food. i went there for a Sunday roast which was absolutely spectacular i recommend for everyone. my daughter is vegetarian and they catered for her dietary need. the two waitresses that where working there are so friendly and polite they made it a lovely experience catering for any needs we had. i recommended to anybody to come here at have food

The kingsley inn is now under new management. They are a friendly couple, and make you very welcome. This is my local also, and I couldnt go into a better pub and feel part of there family.

Perfect village pub, warm and welcoming.

Awful pint of Guinness. Ordered 2, changed barrel halfway through. Watched barmaid top up like a larger, spilling pint all down the side, which she then wiped down with a bar towel from some depth behind the bar. Head was brown and foamy, tasted awful, dingey vibe and expensive too!

Attended a quiz here, good atmosphere, drink selection was a bit lacking bit enjoyed ourselves. Free carpark at the rear.

Stopped in after a full day of driving. Would have taken anything, honestly, so I was extra glad to find a nice place, nice people (staff and patrons alike), and a properly decent meal. Had the cod and chips. Nice. I know it's a fairly common dish, but I've never actually had minted peas before. The Kingsley introduced them to me, after "several" decades of my life. It's now a favourite. So the Kingsley holds a special place in my minty old heart. My one snobby complaint is the beer. I prefer free house variety. I think the Kingsley might be stocked from a single brewer… maybe? I had the Doom Bar. Not my favourite, but a respectable beer.

Didn't eat but a lovely pub great area to sit outside and lovely and clean inside, would definitely recommend.

Was lovely to visit a pub that has diversified over the years .. now having their own restaurant to half of the pub.. I'm sure it is working well .. it would be nice to see the staff actually working (tidying or cleaning) instead of being on their phone. I worked in a pub and there was ALWAYS something to do (even chat to the customers) .. put the phones away!!!

Had a wonderful Sunday roast at The Kingsley today with my Mum. Amazing food, lovely atmosphere and service was brilliant. Huge Yorkshire puddings, veg, meat and potatoes all cooked really well. Desserts were delicious. Very good value for money. We will definitely be returning.

Do not eat there. If you are a local you are almost there. It's like going to Cornwall they don't like the new locals either

Was a nice pub all week till Thursday of our stay knowing we were going sat they then become rude to our custom and as we were not locals so would not be welcome.

Lovely place meat draw Sunday at 6 is great fun

Efficient and pleasant service. Lovely meat and gravy. The menu said 6 different vegetables but we were served only two plus a potato dish. When we queried this we were then given an additional small portion of peas. Cauliflower cheese unsuitable for gluten free and no plain cauliflower available.

A dining pub.Ales were Doom Bar and Sharps Atlantic.Thatchers Haze and Praha lager amongst the keg beers.

We have visited this great local pub as a couple, & with friends. The Sunday lunches are available in different size portions, & are freshly cooked, with a good selection of tasty vegetables, some plated & some served separately. There is always a Vegetarian option, with all the same additions & veggie gravy. All in all an outstanding lunch. Have only managed dessert once! The staff are welcoming & friendly, & would highly recommend, but best to book. We'll be back.

Lovely Sunday roast! We had five different vegetables and two types of potatoes. We had beef and pork, both of which were cooked to perfection. There was stuffing and plenty of gravy, as well as a big Yorkshire pudding! It was probably one of the best roasts we've had, and we will definitely go back for more. Thank you for a really tasty meal!!

We would highly recommend the Sunday roast. We have had several since they have started to do them and every one has been delicious. There is a great selection of veg and plenty of meat and potatoes, also comes with extra gravy which is a bonus as we all like lots. Great value for money too. We will definitely be having lots more in the future.

From the great bar service to the fantastic food, this place is a must go to! We have had numerous meals at the Kingsley and never had a bad one, food is always freshly cooked and tasteful and prices are very reasonable. Sunday roast is a firm favourite and james Yorkshire puddings are unbeatable! Alway get a warm welcome, brilliant atmosphere so highly recommend you try this local gem.

It's been a while since I've been there and was so impressed with the decor. Love that the dining and bar areas have been switched around. Bar prices were average and a Sunday Roast was £11 with an option to go large. There was also a childrens roast on offer. Meat selection was poor, only beef and turkey available I ordered beef and asked for a slice of nut roast too but changed my mind when it was going to cost me an extra £4. A separately served selection of 6 vegetables were on offer..... kale on a thick tough stem, tough leeks, boiled potatoes, peas and broccoli. Two roast potatoes and Cauliflower were served on the plate with two small slices of tender and tasty beef. No stuffing although it was advertised as part of the meal. Not a yellow vegetable in sight. Certainly not the best Sunday roast on offer in a 5mile radius. Nice clean toilets and wheelchair accessible.

Excellent garden for afternoon sun

Had a great Sunday lunch here and was not disappointed. The meal was not a carvery but served at table by very accommodating and pleasant staff. Meat was cooked to perfection and the vegetables were served separately, cooked well and plentiful. I enjoyed the sweet, (vanilla cheesecake) although it was a little bland to the taste otherwise the review would have achieved the full five stars. Will definitely eat here again. Recommended.

This is my local. Lovely village pub. Amazing food. Great atmosphere. Often have live entertainment or sport viewing on SKY. Beer gardens.

Lovely afternoon here on Saturday, fabulous barmaid couldn't have been more helpful in selection of drinks, and finding some darts. Nice ambience, friendly locals, lovely and clean. We will devoutly be returning x

Friendly staff gets 3 stars but unfortunately the pub gets less. Maybe the lockdown has impacted the pub? Very tired looking and in need of a freshen up. Saturday night saw only a handful of locals, and the beer was average. As the only pub in Northam it was a shame to see.

Really liked this place. Came to watch a football game on Sky Sports (they also have BT) and really enjoyed the afternoon out here. People were nice staff were nice with a great selection of drinks. Nice work guys!

A proper local pub. Staff and customers are welcoming and dogs are allowed. Occasional live music. Beer garden is a suntrap. Pool table. Good well kept beers but no food at present. I feel very comfortable here.

Regular haunt when visiting family in northam

Only pub in village with no atmosphere, or you have to travel either into Bideford, Appledore or Westward Ho! Fairly regular buses if you don't want to take the car.

Walked in and heads craned round from the bar, as the smell of disinfectant crept up into my nostrils. The ale was fine- but the juke-box playing 'Cotton-Eye Joe' and harsh lighting meant I've never returned.
