We dined yesterday in this elegant and yet cosy brasserie, at Wolfcastle Hotel, and it was anam amazing experience. When we got there we were welcome by an extremely kind and smiling staff, that was so attentive and warm during the whole dinner. Food was to die for, like the arancini, the Nicoise. Most of all, the chocolate dessert that… oh my God, was scrumptious! The decor in the restaurant is gorgeous and the atmosphere really romantica. Will visit again soon and cannot recommend this place enough to people seeking for a romantic and haute cuisine restaurant.

We stayed overnight following a ferry crossing. The ferry was delayed and they made sure we still could access the room. The room was spacious, but it was £180 for 2 adults and a child. There were huge cobwebs on the window, and only toiletries left for 2 people not 3. Breakfast was really disappointing unfortunately. Dirty plates, poor choice or cereal, no yoghurts, fruit or juice to help yourself to, everything was apparently behind the bar and you were only told that when you asked. The cooked breakfast was really greasy and the sausages were cheap and horrid, I couldn’t eat them. Nice staff but totally overpriced for what was on offer!

Always used to love going to Mamgu's in Solva. Kinda surprised to hear they'd moved. As to new St. David's location..well...not as cosy. Will definitely seat more people, but furniture a bit too greasy spoon for me. Trivial Pursuit cards on table nice touch, but sadly just ended up using them to balance wonky table leg. Biggest let down though was food. Wife had 'loaded welsh cakes' with lukewarm beans. (Yes I know we should have complained, but really shouldn't have to) I had the 'welsh rarebit breakfast' which consisted of- 1 slice rarebit toast with fried egg on top I veggie sausage 1 slice halloumi (smaller than playing card) 1 large mushroom, cut in half And that 'lot' was £11!! (That's just the rarebit, not including loaded welsh cakes.) It was tasty, but for just shy of £11, that's not enough food. Not that this review will worry Mamgu's, as footfall for this new location will ensure they do well. But sadly, I don't think we will be returning anytime soon

Had takeaway fish and chips. Ordered two fish n chips. 2 sausage N chips and kids chicken bites n chips. Prices are fair to be honest. Service was friendly and very good. Chips were utterly perfect! Battered fish a good size and batter was crispy not soggy. Very tasty and NO BONES AT ALL! Sausages good with no gristle and all piping hot. The ONLY gripe was there are only 3 chicken bites with the kids meal which is a shame as most places do 5 or more. They aren't massive either. But they are very very tasty! My daughter loved them! But 3 was a little disappointing. All in all we highly recommend this little gem at Amroth. You won't be disappointed with the service or the quality as both are fabulous. Just a bit tight on the kids chicken nibbly bits. Definitely will return. Big thumbs up

Fantastic afternoon tea to celebrate our collective 60th birthdays. Visited here as a party of 3 this afternoon. Two GF diners and a no dietary requirement diner. Amazing sandwiches, scones and delicate sweet cakes. Buckets of tea. Lovely atmosphere- felt like an occasion!

WOW....What a wonderful place. Fantastic meals! We were staying nearby with family and meeting up with local family, so got to go here three times. Sunday lunch was brilliant, my husband and I are both vegetarians, so the mushroom wellington with roast veggies was really great value. We also had the mushroom wrap which I enjoyed so much one lunch time that I had it again a few evenings later. ALL the staff were lovely and helpful, even gave us a takeaway veg for the Sunday vegetables that were left, so had bubble and squeak the next night at the rental cottage! The only thing I would say is they either need larger plates or smaller portions!! LOL

Came here last week during half term . The restaurant was near lydstep beach where we staying and thought we would book a meal here. The restaurant was only half full when we arrived at 7pm and we was met by a very pleasant young lady. Unfortunately from sitting down to being offered a drink this took 20. Minutes . The young lady did apologise saying it was only herself and a colleague serving on that particular evening.another 15 minutes later I had to stop the waitress to ask if we could order. The food took 45 minutes and it came lukewarm. To be honest the whole evening was awkward and poor . Real shame because if it was good it would be a goldmine.

Exceptionally helpful staff who provided exemplary service after (our) mix-up with food. Delicious vegan, veggie breakfasts, along with tasty and delicious sausage and egg baps. Generous portions, cooked to order and very prompt service. Great lunch portions too. Also extremely hospitable to our neurodivergent child in terms of being able to access wi-fi and providing a calm, welcoming space. Great tunes too, Blur, Iggy Pop, Michael Kiwanuka and Paris Paloma! Top-tier eaterie.

We had pre-booked and reserved our sunday roast lunch well in advance. They took allergies well into consideration. Quick service, friendly staff and the restaurant wasn't crowded when we got there. The food was absolutely delicious. We chose the beef option, which too had to be booked almost a week in advance. The beef was tender yet juicy, crispy yorkshire pudding, well seasoned veggies, and a super flavourful gravy. The portions were quite generous too! 10/10, highly recommended.

Freshness from their butchery and fishermen supplies to their shop/restaurant and cooked on their own premises! What more can you ask for? Absolutely unique because of the owners knowledge of his product and cooking direct accordingly! Wish there were more butchers/fishmongers cooking their products onsight in this country. When we left there was the brightest rainbow and I'm sure one end was into the Rib & Oyster premises (rightly so).

Disappointing 'homemade' steak & ale pie! More like frozen beef stew in bowl with pre cooked puff pastry lid. If the menu states home cooked we were expecting a real pie. Filling very watery no taste of ale...small serving of chips & spoonful of garden peas not worth the 40 min wait at not very busy 2.30 pm late lunch. We won't return for food but nice area to sit for a drink on a nice sunny day.
